March Haul #1 BECCA Cosmetics, NudeStix and Fenty Beauty

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m feel better today. Still in a little pain but not as much as I was yesterday. I started my curly hair journey and I’ll be blogging about that shortly.

I received 3 of my purchases this week for I thought I’d haul them today. I’m still not feel good enough to play in makeup but at least I get to paly around with swatches… that have helped me feel good.

Well… on to the haul….

*As always… All products listed I purchased myself, all links provided are purely for convenience purposes to help you find the product quickly and are in no way affiliate links. The swatches are done on clean bare skin with no primer and are done in 1 swipe, pictures to the left/top are taking without flash and the right/bottom with flash*

First up the order I place on the BECCA Cosmetics website.

There is sad news to report…. BECCA is sadly going out of business. As of September 2021 they will be closing shop do to the hardships of Covid. So I placed an order for backup products of the items I will miss most. I will be placing a second order for backups of my favorite foundations too.

BECCA ultimate coverage 24 hour foundation $44 for 1 fluid ounce of product on their website.

This foundation is billed as a non-acnegenic, lightweight, full-coverage foundation for 24-hour wear with a breathable, natural finish. It claims to be water and transfer resistant. This foundation comes in 42 shades with about 10 shades for each shade range. I chose the shade Cashmere 1N3 (fair to light beige with neutral undertones). They have this system that breaks the shade levels up into a number system from 1-6 where 1 is fair and 6 is deep, all you have to do is find your shade level and you undertone and look for the levels in the shade list.

What I learned about this swatch: First off it’s the perfect shade for me. This is a smooth, lightweight, and very creamy foundation… I can’t wait to try it. There was a nice slip to it and I did not notice any oxidation. This one does dey down but it has a dewy appearance.

BECCA ultimate coverage longwear concealer $29 for 0.21 fluid ounces of product on their website

This foundation is billed as a water-resistant, full coverage concealer that instantly camouflages under eye dark circles, blemishes and discoloration while smoothing the skin’s texture. It comes in 16 shades (8 for deep skin, 4 for medium skin, and 5 for light skin) I have the shade Linen (lightest beige with neutral undertones) . It claims to be blurring and nourishing.

What I learned about this swatch: It’s a medium viscosity with high coverage. It has a nice slip to it and it does not oxidize. I think it’s a very nice concealer. It makes me sad that they will be shutting down. they do complexion products like a dream.

BECCA ignite liquified light highlighter $38 for 1.5 fluid ounces of product on their website.

This liquid highlighter is billed as a liquid highlighter for face and body that gives skin an all over pearlized glow. It claims to be transfer and water resistant and non comedogenic. It comes in 5 shades. I purchased the same shade I already had… Passion (pale incandescent pearl that reflects gold).

What I know about this highlighter: This is a beautiful highlighter. It’s smells amazing, it doesn’t budge, and it still shows up when you powder over it. If you only buy one thing on my recommendation for the BECCA line… this would be it.

This under eye powder is billed as a light-reflecting loose powder for delicate eye-area skin that instantly blurs fine lines & sets makeup. It claims to be brightening with no flash back.

(this one is a travel sized but I also purchased a full sized but lost the footage of it along with the swatches somehow, however I have swatched this one in the past.) It comes in 2 shades original and golden bronze.

This powder is billed as a weightless setting powder that refreshes and cools the skin with all-day moisture. It claims to blur the look of pores and fine lines and improves skin tone.

What I know about this powder: It’s a very odd powder, but in the best way possible. While applying this powder you feel a cooling mist across your face, it’s bazar, I mean it’s a powder… how can it feel wet? It gives the skin the most beautiful air brushed finish.

BECCA liquid + light highlight kit $24 for 0.085 ounces of the Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed and 0.5 ounces of Ignite Liquified Light Highlighter on their website.

This kit s billed as a travel-size duo of our best-selling highlighters. It claim to be a natural glow with ultra buttery texture. The shade of the pressed highlighter is Opal.

What I learned about this swatch: This highlighter has the same buttery texture that my Champagne Pop highlighter has and has a stunning golden sheen to it.

*I lost my footage of this product so I just inserted a picture from their website so I could review it for you, I have swatched this in the past may times*

This primer is billed as a primer that uses Backlight Technology to filter, blur and diffuse for instant illumination for all skin. It claims to instantly boost radiance, smooth skin and blur imperfection.

What I know about this product: I have purchased countless bottles of this primer. It’s my go to primer on no makeup day, low maintenance makeup days, and on days when I just want that extra little glow to my makeup routine. This is a gorgeous product.

This blush is billed as a mineral blush that builds and blends effortlessly to give cheeks a healthy, natural flush. It claims to be buildable, high pigmented with a natural finish. It comes in 7 shades and I purchased the shade Flower Child (peachy pink with golden highlights).

What I learned about this swatch: I had always wanted to buy this blush, had my eye on it for a long time and when I placed this order, with the knowledge that BECCA for soon be defunct, I snagged it finally. This blush is silky smooth with an almost cream like slip to it. The pigmentation is heavenly.

What I know about this lipstick: This is one of my favorite high end lipstick formulas. It’s satin goodness. Creamy, buttery, and so moisturizing. I own 2 other shades and they are what I wear on most days.

Next up my order I placed with NudeStix

NudeStix TINTED COVER $36 for 0.84 fluid ounces of product on their website.

This foundation is billed as the best liquid foundation for getting an even skin tone and a flawless natural finish, all while smoothing out the appearance of lines, blemishes and discolorations. It comes in 15 shade (5 for light, medium and deep skin tones) and I purchased it in the shade Nude 3

What I learned about this swatch: This foundation is perfect! It’s my 100% exact match, it melts into the skin so well and the slip on this one is heavenly! It does not oxidize and it does not set down but this one is so pretty that I doubt I’ll set it when I try it out.

NudeStix NUDEFIX CONCEALER $28 for 0.10 ounces of product on their website.

This concealer is billed as  a totally hydrating concealer that compliments  all skin types and tones, while offering buildable sheer to medium coverage. It comes in 13 shades (5 of light, 5 for medium, and 3 for deep skin tones) and I purchased it in Nude 3. I wanted it to match my skin tone exactly instead of being brightening because from what I understand of the company it’s products are more on the “natural beauty” side of the market and so I wanted to have it matching.

What I did learn from swatching this concealer: This is a pretty pigmented product, a little thicker than the foundation and a very little is all you are going to need with this one. It has ok slip… it is a little on the tacky side but I think ounce I set it is should be fine… I do have small reservations that this one might crease.

NudeStix MAGNETIC NUDE GLIMMERS $28 for 0.34 ounces of product on their website.

This cream highlighter is billed as makeup creams that come in three stunning colors to work with all skin tones. The MAGNETIC NUDE GLIMMERS are multi-use, luminous highlighter sticks that are perfect for your everyday makeup routine. They can be used anywhere on your face or body to create glowing skin and an all-over dewy makeup look. I purchased the shade 99% Angel (baby pink pearl).

What I learned from swatching this highlighter: This cream feels like a gel and is subtle, there is a little bit of glitter to this one so I’ll probably use it just on the cheek bones. This one has some slip and dries down completly.

NudeStix NUDIES GLOW $34 for 0.28 of product on their website.

This highlighter stick is billed as a long-lasting highlighter sticks that are conveniently dual ended, featuring a color block on one end and a soft blending brush on the other. Use your NUDIES GLOW cream highlighter to bring a radiant dew to your cheeks, eyes or lips that will last all day long. It comes in 5 colors and I purchase the shade Hey Honey (Hey Honey),

What I learned from this swatch: I though this was going to be gritter or dry but it’s not at all. It’s not creamy right away it need the a little body heat so I would recommend using your finger to apply this one. It’s a nice and subtle and give a little lilt of bronze to the skin. However, the brushes on the bottom is just way to dense for this product… in fact I feel like all the brushes on their stick products are too dense… they are super soft but the density makes is virtually impossible to get a smooth blend.

NudeStix NUDIES BRONZE $34 for 0.25 ounces of product on their website.

This bronzer is billed as being dual-ended with a soft color balm on one side and a detachable blending brush on the other for easy makeup application. And that’s not all! These all-over color sticks can be used for more than just a face bronzer; use a stippling brush or your fingers to transfer the NUDIES BRONZE color to your eyelids and lips for a natural warmth. It comes in 5 shades and I purchased the shade Bondi Bae (medium golden brown).

What I learned from this swatch: It’s a nice balm, creamy but very subtle… again this is a more natural makeup aesthetic so I understand… I can always punch up the tone with a little powder bronzer if I need to.

It comes in 4 shades and I purchased Tiger Lilly Queen (sheer true coral).

What I learned about this swatch: This is a super creaming and dewy blush that is semi sheer, with potential for buildable coverage. It does not set down so you might want to follow up with a hint of coordinating powder blush to seal it in.

NudeStix NUDIES BLUSH $34 for 0.25 ounces of product on their website.

This stick blush is billed as a  a true NudeStix staple, and helps you achieve a natural-looking flush that you can rock year-round. This amazing cream blush comes in shades that bring out your natural complexion so you look healthy and youthful. It comes in 7 shades and I purchased Sunset Strip (bright coral pink).

What I learned form this swatch: This one is a bit more drier than the Nudies Bloom formula. But it’s more pigmented and dries down almost to a full on matte. It was easy to blend out as well.

The shimmers are creamy and even though they are shimmers they are not chunky at all. The color stories and cohesive, and so well thought out that they are able to blend with other palettes in this line. I am looking forward to playing with these for sure.

What I know about this product: Super creamy, long lasting, melts perfectly and blends out beautifully and has great slip. The contour shade is a bit too grey toned for my liking, I typically like the beautiful tones in the deeper shades of foundations and bronzers as my contour shades but I’, keen to give this one a tried since it seems everything I try but Fenty blows me away.
