May 2021 #6 Haul… Amazon Beauty and Sephora

Hey doll hey!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. Sorry there is no Face of the Day today. I didn’t sleep well and am in a world of pain so I took Friday and Saturday off from makeup but wanted to share my packages from today.

*As always… All products listed I purchased myself, all links provided are purely for convenience purposes to help you find the product quickly and are in no way affiliate links. The swatches are done on clean bare skin with no primer and are done in 1 swipe, pictures to the left/top are taking without flash and the right/bottom with flash*

Up first the 2 sets of shadow primers I purchased from Amazon. These primers have been all over TikTok so I jumped on board to try them out.

The Handaiyan Matte Eyeshadow Cream Set 6 Colors by BELLESKY ($16.89 for 15 mL/0.34 fl oz each tube on Amazon) in the color way A.

Color way A comes with the shade # 01 – #06…. The colors are true blue, berry, coffee brown, pure white, light pink and true purple.

This set by the same brand is out of stock but I did find another store front on amazon that sells the full 12 tube set (both color way A and B) for $18.99 It’s sold buy the Cossa Store and can be found HERE

This color way (B) comes with shades #07- #12 and the shades are: light green, neon pink, bright blue, dusty true red, true orange and true yellow.

I swatched them but not in order… I swatched in rainbow order…let’s take a look:

First Impressions: These cream shadows are super pigmented and a very little goes a long way. They don’t dry down right away, in fact the company recommends allowing them to dry for a full 2-3 minutes before blinking… I’ve planned to use them as eye bases so I wont really need to worry about having them smear much but it was worth mentioning. Also, these creams do stain a bit but I was able to remove all swatches with a bit of Bioderma.

Up next…. my Sephora haul….

I ran out of my new favorite brush cleaner so I placed an order and well… the rest of the products just sort of jumped in the cart so that the cleaner wouldn’t be lonely.

Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Cleaner comes in 3 sizes: 237 mL/8 fl oz for $24 (there is also a set for $25 that comes with this size bottle plus a tin for fast cleansing), 473 mL/16 fl oz for $30 and 946 mL/32 fl oz for $42 at Sephora and is billed as a professional-grade liquid makeup brush cleaner that is quick drying, rinse free and 99.99 percent antimicrobial disinfectant

I’ve already been using this product since March and I truly love how easy it is to completely clean my brushes in between deep cleanings.

NARS Iconic Glow Mini Cheek Set

NARS Mini Bronzer and Blush Set ($39 for 2.5g/0.08 oz blush, 3.3g/0.11 oz bronzer and mini face brush at Sephora) is billed as a travel-size set that includes a Laguna Bronzing Powder, an Orgasm Blush, and a brush.

First Impressions: The famed orgasm blush isn’t as pigmented as I thought it was…. at least not in a swatch. the Laguna bronzer reminds me of Tart’s Park Ave Princess just a bit less orange based. I think this blush is meant to be a topper? We shall see.

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint ($29.50 for 1.08 oz/ 32 mL at Sephora) is billed as lightweight, buildable light-to-medium coverage, natural finish skin tint that leaves skin looking blurred and smoothed – in 25 flexible shades .

The shade I really wanted was sold out (shade 2  light with neutral undertones so I settled for shade 1 light with cool neutral undertones, since this is a skin tint the plus or minus has some wiggle room with shades and tones… a little bronzer and it will be fine.

First Impressions: The scent is a bit like yeast bread blooming but dissipates. The formula is somewhere between liquid and gel and is truly lightweight. It blended out so easily on the back of my hand and didn’t seem to stick to the lines of my hands. I’m very much looking forward to testing this one out.

Huda Beauty Power Bullet Cream Glow Hydrating Lipstick Sweet Nudes Collection ($25 for 0.1 oz/ 3 g at Sephora) is billed as an ultra-hydrating, ultra-comfortable lipstick that gives lips a natural, fuller-looking pout with a dewy finish and comes in 14 all new shades… I chose the shade Honey Bun medium pink nude.

Fist Impressions: IT has a very faint caramel scent to it. The formula as the perfect creamy formula… not too creamy where it will travel outside the lip line… not too dry where it defines the little lines of the lips…. just simply perfect.

As I explained in my haul where I talked about purchasing the Huda Tantour… I had shied away from the brand because everyone always talked about how over powering the fragrance in her products was…. but there wasn’t any fragrance in the Tantour so I thought I’d try some more things, so I purchased this lippie and a small eyeshadow palette.

Huda Beauty Brown Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette ($29 for 7.5 g/ 0.26oz of product making each shade around 0.03 oz/ 0.83g and $3.22 at Sephora) is billed as a  highly pigmented mini eyeshadow palette featuring nine velvety hues in four delectable finishes that look ravishing on every skin tone to take you from daytime soft and sweet to after-dark rich and smoky.

It comes in 2 color stories: Chocolate (a modern edit of milk and dark chocolate mattes blended with decadent fudge metallics, sprinkles of brown sugar, and berry shimmers), Toffee (a silky smooth blend of caramel, buttercream and golden toffee mattes paired with shimmering honey and sugared almond metallics), and Caramel (a spicy combination of burnt caramel, hazelnut and maple mattes accompanied by molten copper apricot and rhubarb shimmers). I chose Chocolate.

From left to right the shades (which do not have names) are: #1 a muted dusty brown with a slight rosy undertone – matte, #2 medium brown with a rosy flip – metallic, #3 dusty medium deep brown with a slight hint of coppery red – speckled metallic, #4 light copper with a slight berry or plum based brown flip to it – metallic, #5 a pale tan with a coral hint to it – matte, #6 medium reddish brown – matte, #7 medium bright peach – matte, #8 light rose gold with a slight peach flip – metallic and #9 deep dark plum based brown – matte.

First Impressions: First of all I know get the hype behind her shadow formula. It is true perfection! The metallics are creamy and super pigmented and the mattes are buttery, pigmented and smooth. There was no kick back in the pans (a first for me when swatching a palette). These shades are superb… I have no other shades like these.

Well dolls… that’s it for today’s haul.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.

Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick….

XOXO, Nita
