Hey doll hey!!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing pretty good today… small sinus headache but my fatigue is in check today, I haven’t had a full on high energy day in literally years. I’m not going to over do it today, I don’t want to trigger a poor fatigue response, but I have plans to get my bedroom cleaned up… I have 5 loads of wash to put away. My pain level is stable… around a 5 today.
Today I wanted to wear this super pretty copper graphic tee and so I did a copper cut crease to match but I got hair oil all over it… so I had to change shirts.
Today’s Scent Is:

Top Notes: Bergamot, Pineapple and Raspberry.
Heart Notes: Damask Rose, Violet, Orris (the roots of the Iris flower) and Ylang-ylang.
Base Notes: Musk, Cedar and Amber.
Now on to the walk through for today’s face of the day……
Eyes and Brows:

I started with my brows first. I used Beauty by Rihanna Brow MVP Ultra Fine Brow Pencil & Styler ($20 for 0.0024 oz / 0.07 g at Sephora) in the shade Black Brown. I topped that off with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo ($23 for 0.03 oz at Ulta) in the shade Dark Brown (dark hair with warm undertones) I then carved out my brow line and primed my lids using the Beckysue Eyeshadow Primer ($7.49 on Amazon) in the shade Medium (flesh shade). For today’s classic smokey look I used the Huda Beauty Brown Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette ($29 for 7.5 g/ 0.26oz of product making each shade around 0.03 oz/ 0.83g and $3.22 at Sephora) along with the white shade of the The Handaiyan Matte Eyeshadow Cream Set 6 Colors by BELLESKY ($16.89 for 15 mL/0.34 fl oz each tube on Amazon) in the color way A. I started with the 1st shade, a muted dusty brown with a slight rosy undertone – matte, throughout the crease. I then used the 9th shade, a deep dark plum based brown – matte, on an angled brush throughout the outer v of the crease and them using what was left on the crease brush I buffed the harsh edges of the outer crease. I created a 1/2 cut crease using the white cream shadow. Over the middle 1/3 of the mobile lids I used the 4th shade, a light copper with a slight berry or plum based brown flip to it – metallic, and I made sure to take it only to the crease. For the inner 1/3 of the mobile lid and the swoop of the cut crease I used the 8th shade, a light rose gold with a slight peach flip – metallic, and also used what was left after color placement to blend the line of delineation between the middle and inner 1/3 of the mobile lid. I then set my brow line using L’Oréal Infallible 24 HR Eyeshadow ($6.99 for 0.12 oz at Walmart) in the shade #899 Endless Pearl (vanilla matte). For my lower lash lines I kept it simple by just doing a down shadow with the 1st shade, a muted dusty brown with a slight rosy undertone – matte, and then I tight lined my upper and lower waterlines using LA Girl Shockwave Eyeliner ($4.49 1.18 mL/ 0.04 oz at Ulta) in the shade Dragon (a deep teal on a black base). I highlighter the inner corners of my eyes using Hikari Cream Pigment Eyeshadow ($19 but on sale for $5 on their website) in the shade Fairytale (Icey white shimmer). I coated my lashes in L.A. Girl Jetsetter Mascara ($6.99 for 0.32 oz at Ulta) and popped on a pair of KoKo Lashes ($7.99 on the Lady Moss website) in the style Chloe.
Complexion:

I primed my face using Beauty Bakerie The Butter Hydra Silk Primer ($24 for 7.6 g/ 0.26 oz at Ulta). For my foundation today I chose Beauty Bakerie InstaBake Aqua Glass Foundation ($34 for 28 mL/ 0.9 fl oz at Ulta) in the shade 351 N. I then contoured my face using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand ($38 for 0.40 oz/ 12mL at Sephora) in the shade Medium Dark and then bronzed using NARS Limited Edition Sunkissed Bronzer Cream ($38 0.67 oz/ 19 mL at Sephora) in the shade Casino (medium brown). I highlighted the high points of my face using NARS The Multiple ($39 for 0.50 oz/ 14 g at Sephora) in the shade Copacabana (glistening pearl). For blush today I am using NARS Air Matte Sheer Cream Blush ($30 for 0.21 oz/ 6.0 g at Sephora ) in the limited edition shade Torch (coral red). I then color corrected my under eyes using L.A. Girl HD Pro Corrector Concealer ($4.99 for 8g /0.28 fl oz at Ulta) in the shade Peach and concealed them using L.A. Girl HD Pro Concealer ($4.99 for 8g /0.28 fl oz at Ulta) in the shade Light Ivory.
Cheeks, Lips, Lashes and Touch Ups:

I set my under eyes using Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder for Under Eyes ($28 for 0.14 oz at Ulta). I set the rest of my face using Flower Beauty Miracle Matte Translucent Finishing Powder ($10.99 for 0.28 oz at Ulta). I touched up my blush and bronzer using the NARS Limited Edition Mini Bronzer and Blush Set ($39 at Sephora) and my highlighter using the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter ($36 for 2 x 0.12 oz/ 3.5 g at Sephora) in the shade Mean Money (soft champagne sheen). I lined my lips using Flower Beauty Petal Pout Lip Liner ($6.99 for 0.01 oz at Ulta)) in the shade Rose (coral pink) and topped the lips off using Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick ($8.49 for 0.15 oz at Ulta) in the shade Soft Silver Red (muted medium coral with a metallic finish). I set my face using ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Acid Setting Mist ($12 for 3.72 oz/ 110 mL at Ulta). For face touch-ups I chose to use J. Cat Aquasurance Compact Foundation ($11.99 at Ulta) in the shade Natural.
Final Thoughts:

The shades I picked for the cut crease today paired so well together.

NARS Limited Edition Mini Bronzer and Blush Set ($39 at Sephora) is billed as a travel-size set that includes a Laguna Bronzing Powder, an Orgasm Blush, and a brush.
I give the blush (Orgasm) a solid C- : Honestly I don’t understand the hype behind this blush… truly I don’t. It’s got way too much shimmer in it to be able to give a good color payout. The amount of shimmer in this blush clashes with any highlighter you chose to use with it. At best this is a nice blush topper and not a true blush.

bareMinerals WELL RESTED UNDER EYE BRIGHTENER ($23 for 0.07 of product on their website) is billed as an under eye brightener that diminishes the signs of fatigue and eases the appearance of puffiness and dark circles for a wide-awake look.
I give this powder concealer a solid A++ : I think this product is pretty cool, but I tried it on it’s own and left my under eyes looking cakey as hell. So I removed it and reapplied the corrector, did my concealer and then used this product to set the under eyes… I found that this is best way to use it. It looked pretty over the concealer.

LA Girl Jetsetter Mascara – Black ($6.99 for 0.32 ounces of product at Ulta) is billed as being able to create long full lashes worthy of a jetsetter lifestyle. The wand holds full bodied bristles that coat lashes from root to tip for sky high length and lift. Buildable and smudge-proof, this formula is long wearing enough to outlast even your red-eye flights. Lash & Go, you’ve got places to be. Pair it with Jetsetter Liquid Liner for lined and defined eyes! It claims to have Sky High Lift and Length and to be Water & Flake Resistant.
Yesterday I gave this mascara a solid A++ but I would like to change that score to a solid A+++!!! : Just as I expected yesterday…. I tested this mascara without using a darker shade next to the lash line and it gave my lashes such a boost, they looked longer and thicker. There was no flaking or transfer. I love this mascara!!!

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna BROW MVP ULTRA FINE BROW PENCIL & STYLER ($20 for 0.0024 ounces of product on their website) is billed as an ultra fine, retractable brow pencil made for hair-like precision, born in a groundbreaking range of 14 longwear, waterproof, smudge-resistant shades—plus a built-in paddle brush for effortless blending and styling. This pencil comes in 14 shades and I purchased the shade Black-Brown (for dark brown hair neutral undertones)
Yesterday I gave this brow pencil as solid B+ but I would like to lower that score to a solid C- : Yea I just can’t get this pencil to work good for me. I’ve used it 2 days in a row and both times I had to touch up my browns 3 times and today that happened even after setting with brow powder. I want so bad to love this product, the packaging and brush are amazing but the product is just not waxy enough to stick on the bare spots of my brows.

Beauty Bakerie InstaBake Aqua Glass Foundation ($34 for 0.9 fluid ounces on their website) is billed as being inspired by the elegance and minimalistic approach to beauty that Japan is known for, InstaBake Aqua Glass Foundation delivers extraordinary performance and applies like frosting. Rightfully named “InstaBake”, this full-coverage, poreless, vegan formula covers anything left in its wake from uneven tone to scars and blemishes. InstaBake Aqua Glass Foundation serves a comfortable wear and is best applied with a damp blending egg sponge or your favorite foundation brush. It is best paired with InstaBake 3-in-1 Hydrating Concealer for an overall Insta-worthy finish – you certainly won’t need a filter. It comes in 30 shades (10 for fair/light, 10 for medium and 10 for deep skin tones). I purchased 351 N.
I give this foundation a solid A+++!!! : This foundation is so gorgeous on the skin! I used 1 pump for my full face and neck and it was full coverage. It did not set down but also didn’t take much powder to set. This one did not oxidize and also did not accentuate any fine lines. This foundation is STUNNING!!!

Beauty Bakerie The Butter Hydrasilk Primer + Antioxidants ($24 for 0.26 ounces of product on their website) is billed as a lightweight, hydrating primer that provides your skin with a smooth canvas and extends the wear of your makeup. It applies just like warm, creamy butter and leaves your skin feeling like silk. This alone calls for a toast.
I give this primer a solid A+++ : This primer is pretty good. It left my skin velvety smooth and not a pore in sight. The reason I haven’t given it a higher grade is because of the packaging…. I don’t like to use face products out of the tube…. typically that’s not an issue…. with foundation I just use a foundation brush, contour I use a small duo fiber brush, and blushes and highlighters I use either a sponge or a duo fiber brush…. with this primer non of my brushes worked to apply the primer to my face, I ended up having to swipe the tube across my face and then disinfect the primer with alcohol before putting it away. Honestly there is nothing wrong with the primer itself…. it’s just inconvenient packaging that keeps me from grading this one higher.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick ($8.49 for 0.15 oz at Ulta) is billed as the cult-classic lipstick with the perfect combination of high-impact Lipcolour in a super-moisturizing formula. Super vibrant. Super lush. Super creamy lip color and comes in 44 shades.
I give this lipstick a solid A+++!!! : Damn it!! I wish I had a higher grade scale! This lippie is PERFECTION!!!! So much so that I purchased 2 more in this shade (soft silver red – coral). I hope Revlon near stops making this shade!!! It’s stunning!!!!

NARS Air Matte Sheer Cream Blush ($30 for 0.21 ounces of product at Sephora) is billed as a unique mousse blush that transforms into a velvety powder for a weightless, cloud-like wash of color. A perfectly diffused, soft-touch matte blush with a rush of color. Formulated with NARS’s blending and blurring Color Diffusion Complex, smoothing jojoba gel, and antioxidant-rich passion-fruit oil, this lightweight, creamy mousse transforms into a velvety powder for a skin-like finish. This blush comes in 8 shades and this is the 2nd one I purchased, it’s in the shade Torch (coral red) *limited edition shade* .
I give this blush a solid A++ : I would grade this one higher if it weren’t for the fact that the only way I can get this potted blush to work is by using it with the Morphe M449 brush – the detailed powder brush. I tried this blush with a duo fiber brush, that was a disaster. I tried this blush with a beauty sponge, all that seemed to accomplish was lifting foundation around the cheeks. The Morphe M449 applied the blush expertly. So that is the way I will continue to use this blush… for that I could not grade this blush higher.

Well dolls that’s the end of today’s walk through….
I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits and health….
Don’t forget to save a spoon for a bit of lipstick….
XOXO, Nita
