Hey doll hey!!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing pretty well today. Not too much pain, not as fatigued and mentally I feel strong today.
I was going to do just a basic neutral eye but I swatched the gold shades of the palette I chose and couldn’t help myself!!
Well on to today’s walk through of this romantic face of the day…..
Today’s Scent Is:

Top Notes: Pistachio and Almond
Heart Notes: Heliotrope and Jasmine
Base Notes: Vanilla, Sandalwood and Salted Caramel
Now on to the walk through for today’s face of the day……
Eyes and Brows:

I started with my brows first. I used Beauty by Rihanna Brow MVP Ultra Fine Brow Pencil & Styler ($20 for 0.0024 oz / 0.07 g at Sephora) in the shade Black Brown. I then carved out my brow line and primed my lids using the Beckysue Eyeshadow Primer ($7.49 on Amazon) in the shade Medium (flesh shade). For today’s soft romantic gold moment I used the L.A.Girl Under The Palm 16 Color Eyeshadow Palette ($15.99 for 35 g/ 1.23 oz of total product, making it $0.99 a shade at Ulta). I started by laying down the shade Naked (peachy beige – matte) from lash to brow line. As my transition I chose the shade R+R (muted orange based coral – matte). I then used the shade Explore (grey based mid-toned brown – matte) over the outer 1/3 and outer v of the crease. I then deepened the outer 1/2 of the outer v of the crease using the shade Unplugged (dusty deep brown – matte). On the middle 1/3 of the mobile lids I used the shade Scenic Route (burnished gold – metallic). For the inner 1/3 of the mobile lids I used the shade Bucket List (pale coral with a peach flip – metallic). I then went over the line between the middle and outer 1/3 of the mobile lids with the shade Summer (mid toned orange based coral – matte). For the lower lash line I used the shade Summer (mid toned orange based coral – matte), then deepened the lash lines with the shade Unplugged (dusty deep brown – matte) and then buffed the whole under eye with the shade R+R (muted orange based coral – matte). I lined my lower water lines with the ColourPop BFF Crème Gel Liner ($7 on their website) in the shade Red Rock (burnt terracotta). I then highlighted the inner corners of my eyes with the shade No Regrets (champagne beige – metallic). I coated my lashes in L.A. Girl Jetsetter Mascara ($6.99 for 0.32 oz at Ulta) and popped on a pair of KoKo Lashes ($7.99 on the Lady Moss website) in the style Chloe.
Complexion:

I primed my face using bareMinerals Prime Time Foundation Primer ($26 for 1 fl oz at Ulta). For my foundation today I chose L’Oréal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation ($12.99 for 30 mL/ 1 fl oz at Ulta) in the shade 202 Creamy Natural. I then contoured my face using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand ($38 for 0.40 oz/ 12mL at Sephora) in the shade Medium Dark and then bronzed using NARS Limited Edition Sunkissed Bronzer Cream ($38 0.67 oz/ 19 mL at Sephora) in the shade Casino (medium brown). I highlighted the high points of my face using NARS The Multiple ($39 for 0.50 oz/ 14 g at Sephora) in the shade Copacabana (glistening pearl). For blush today I am using NARS Air Matte Sheer Cream Blush ($30 for 0.21 oz/ 6.0 g at Sephora ) in the limited edition shade Torch (coral red). I then color corrected my under eyes using L.A. Girl HD Pro Corrector Concealer ($4.99 for 8g /0.28 fl oz at Ulta) in the shade Peach and concealed them using L.A. Girl HD Pro Concealer ($4.99 for 8g /0.28 fl oz at Ulta) in the shade Light Ivory.
Cheeks, Lips, Lashes and Touch Ups:

I set my under eyes using Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder for Under Eyes ($28 for 0.14 oz at Ulta). I set the rest of my face using Flower Beauty Miracle Matte Translucent Finishing Powder ($10.99 for 0.28 oz at Ulta). I touched up my blush and highlighter using the ColourPop 4 Pan Blush Palette ($12 for 8.6 g/ 0.30oz making each shade $3) in the color story Cookie Cluster (for the highlighter I used butterscotch: pearlized warm metallic gold and for the blush I used oh gingersnap!: matte bright pinky coral) and my bronzer using the NARS Limited Edition Mini Bronzer and Blush Set ($39 at Sephora) in the shade Laguna. I lined my lips using the ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade BFF (warm nude) and filled in my lips with the Juvia’s Place The Nude Velvety Matte Lipstick ($14 at Ulta) in the shade A Mauve Moment (mauve rose nude). I set my face using ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Acid Setting Mist ($12 for 3.72 oz/ 110 mL at Ulta). For face touch-ups I chose to use J. Cat Aquasurance Compact Foundation ($11.99 at Ulta) in the shade Natural.
Final Thoughts:

I really love the way this look came together. This eye look really pops with my eye color and I felt very romantic in it.

Juvia’s Place The Nude Velvety Matte Lipstick ($14 at Ulta) in the shade A Mauve Moment (mauve rose nude) is billed as providing a highly pigmented creamy and smooth long wear. A soft matte formula infused with hyaluronic acid and comes in 7 shades.
I give this lipstick a solid A+++!!! and a Chef’s Kiss: This lip formula is amazing! It’s the first matte lipstick I’ve tried that did not feel drying on my lips. It’s not transfer proof (to be fair, they don’t claim it to be) but it is pretty long lasting. I enjoy this formula so much that I’m keen to try other shades.

L.A.Girl Under The Palm 16 Color Eyeshadow Palette ($15.99 for 35 g/ 1.23 oz of total product, making it $0.99 a shade at Ulta) is billed as a limited-edition Hey Hey Vacay Eyeshadow Palettes from L.A. Girl. Each soft, pigmented shadow gives major vacay vibes in the Under The Palm 16 Color Eyeshadow Palette.
I give this palette a solid A+++!!! : I did a really simple eye today but even so this palette was a dream to work with. The mattes are super pigmented and the metallics are super creamy. There was kickback in the pan but no fallout on the face. Each shade buffed into the next seamlessly and blended out effortlessly.

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna BROW MVP ULTRA FINE BROW PENCIL & STYLER ($20 for 0.0024 ounces of product on their website) is billed as an ultra fine, retractable brow pencil made for hair-like precision, born in a groundbreaking range of 14 longwear, waterproof, smudge-resistant shades—plus a built-in paddle brush for effortless blending and styling. This pencil comes in 14 shades and I purchased the shade Black-Brown (for dark brown hair neutral undertones).
Yesterday I lowered my grade of this brow pencil to a solid C- however I would now like to raise the grade to a solid A : I really wanted to love this pencil and was having a world of trouble working with it however, I first used a tad bit of alcohol to clean my brows of any skin care and oils. I let that dry completely and then did my brows and waited until I set my face to add a bit of brow gel and this seems to be the trick to working with this pencil. It went on perfectly and did not vanish so I did not have to touch up my brows when I was done with my makeup this time. It’s a really nice pencil.

ColourPop BFF Crème Gel Liner ($7 for 0.01 of product on their website) is billed as the same pigmentation and long-lasting, transfer-proof wear of our Crème Gel Colour Eyeliner in a pencil! It claims that color glides on smoothly for comfortable application in the waterline. creamy formula makes blending super easy and formula dries down for long-lasting wear. I purchased the shade Red Rock (burnt terracotta).
I give this eyeliner a solid A+++!!! : This liner went on so smoothly and pigmented. It stayed in my waterlines all day and is such a beautiful shade… it really did frame my eye color nicely.

bareMinerals PRIME TIME BRIGHTENING FOUNDATION PRIMER ($26 for 1 fluid ounce of product on their website) is billed as being formulated without preservatives or skin irritants, our brightening foundation primer is infused with nourishing natural ingredients including vitamins C and E, plant extracts and powerful antioxidants. Suitable for all skin types, it glides on like silk with no stickiness and helps to smooth out your complexion instantly, a stellar solution for reducing the appearance of fine lines, excess oil and enlarged pores, Prime Time Brightening Foundation Primer is also great for combatting rough, dry patches and flaky skin. Not only does our lightweight face primer extend the wear of your mineral foundation or face makeup, it immediately brightens your complexion for a luminous, healthy-looking glow.
I give this primer a solid A+++ : This primer really made my face look dewy and radiant. It did pick up some texture on my face but once I finish all my base makeup that didn’t matter. I used only 1 pump for my face and neck and it kept my face feeling hydrated.
Well dolls… that’s it for today’s Face of the Day… I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health….

Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick
XOXO, Nita
