Purple Cut Crease With Graphic Liner Face of the Day

Hey doll hey how’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing pretty good. Today’s Saturday and we are having a little get together with my hubby’s cousin and family. I’m excited because I’ve been so isolated and I haven’t seen my hubby’s cousin and family in over 4 years so it will be nice to catch up.

Since it’s the weekend I thought I would practice graphic liners again…. and this was the look I came up with.

Today’s Scent Is:

Gucci Bamboo ($70 for 1 fl oz, $95 fir 1.6 fl oz and $119 for 2.5 fl oz of perfume at Ulta ) was released in 2015 and is a Floral/Woody scent perfect for any occasion.

Top Notes: Casablanca Lily.

Heart Notes: Bergamot and Ylang Ylang.

Base Notes: Sandalwood, Tahitian Vanilla and Maber Accords.

My thoughts on this scent: This is a super sexy scent. I have loved this scent for years now. I typically wear it with jeans and a nice top but I have also worn it on my anniversary as well.

On to the walk-through of today’s Face of the Day….

Eyes and Brows:

I started with my brows using  bareMinerals Brow Master Sculpting Pencil ($22 for 0.007 oz of brow pencil at Ulta) in the shade Coffee (darkest brown) and then I carved out the base and top of my brow using Beckysue Matte Eyeshadow Primer ($7.99 for 15mL on Amazon) in the shade White for the base (as well as primed my lids with it) and Revolution Pro Ultimate Radiant Under Eye Concealer ($12 for L/0.16 fl oz of concealer on their website), in the shade C1 (Fair to light, neutral undertone) for the top. I used my setting powder to set my lids. For today’s look I used all 3 of the Makeup Revolution palettes that I hauled May 16, 2021. I started with the I Heart Revolution X Disney Fairytale Palette ($20 for 18 x 0.03 oz/0.9g of eyeshadow, 3 x 0.2oz/5.8g of highlighter and 3 X 0.2 oz/5.8g of blush) the Ariel palette. For the transition I used the shade Ursula (deep red based purple – matte). I then buffed the edge of the transition with Ariel (pale pastel purple). I deepened the outer v of the crease and the outer 1/3 of my mobile lid using the shade Spooky (dusty purple – matte) from the Jack Palette. I then used a combo of The Handaiyan Matte Eyeshadow Cream Set 6 Colors by BELLESKY ($16.89 for 15 mL/0.34 fl oz each tube on Amazon) in the shade #4 (pure white) and #2 (neon pink) to cut my crease and sketch in the graphic liner. I then patted the shade Alana (mid toned blue based purple with a slight silver flip – metallic) over the middle 1/3 of the cut crease and  Gus (pale sea blue with a strong silver flip – metallic) from the I Heart Revolution X Disney Fairytale Palette ($20 for 18 x 0.03 oz/0.9g of eyeshadow, 3 x 0.2oz/5.8g of highlighter and 3 X 0.2 oz/5.8g of blush) The Cinderella palette over the inner 1/3 of the cut crease. I then took more of the shade Spooky (dusty purple – matte) from the Jack Palette to buff the line of demarcation from the cut crease edge. I then took that same shade and mixed it with Lucifer (deep black – metallic) from the Cinderella palette to deepen the outer 1/3 of the outer v and the very edge of the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid. From the Cinderella palette I took the shade Glass Slipper (slight taupe with a strong silver flip – metallic) to highlight the graphic liner. For the lower lash line I used the residual shadow from all of the brushes I used for my lids. I used the NYX Epic Wear Liner Stick Long Lasting Eyeliner Pencil in the shade Graphic Purple (pure purple) super tight against my lash line and smudges it out and then lined my lower water lines using The Handaiyan Eyeliner Set was $19.99 but I found another seller that has them for $17.50 right now (that is the link I posted). Each liner is 0.2g/0.01 oz of product in the shade #09 (muted pastel purple). I coated my lashes in Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara ($11.49 at Ulta) in the shade Blackest Black and popped on a pair of KoKo Lashes ($7.99 on the Lady Moss website) in the style Marilyn.

Complexion:

I primer my face using L’Oréal Infallible Glow-Lock Illuminating Primer ($12.99 for 1 fl oz of primer at Ulta) and then contoured using the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Pro Filt’r Hydrating Longwear Foundation ($36 for 1.08 fl oz at Sephora) in the shade #120 ( for fair skin with neutral undertones). I used Fenty by Rihanna Match Stix Matte Contour Skinstick ($25 for 0.25 oz of contour at Sephora) in the shade Amber (contour, cool undertones) to contour my face and then I highlighted the high points of my face using L.A. Girl Luminous Glow Skin Illuminating Cream ($3.49 for 0.18 oz of cream highlighter) in the shade Afterglow. I added Tarte SEA Breezy Cream Blush ($27 for 0.17 oz of cream blush at Sephora) in the shade Peach Sunset (peachy pink) to my cheeks. . I color corrected my under eyes using Makeup Revolution Conceal & Corrector Concealers ($7 for 4g/ 0.15 fl oz on their website) in the shade peach and then concealed using NudeStix NudeFix Concealer ($28 for 0.10 ounces of concealer on their website) in the shade Nude 3.

Cheeks, Lips, Lashes and Touch Ups:

I set my under eyes using some RCMA No Color Powder ($12 on Beautylish) because I’ve run out of the under eye setting powder I was using this week.  I set the rest of my face using bareMinerals Mineral Veil Finishing Powder ($27 for 0.30 oz of powder at Ulta). I touched up my bronzer using MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Face Powder ($36 for 0.35 oz of powder at Ulta) in the shade Give Me Sun (light summer peach tan) and my blush using Total Catch (rose – matte) for blush touch up and The Heart of the Sea ( champagne silver – shimmer) for highlighter touch up (as well as using this shade to highlight my inner corners of my eyes) from the Ariel Palette. I lined my lips with NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner ($4 at Ulta) in the shade Whipped Caviar (muted plum) and topped my lips off with bareMinerals Mineralist Hydra Smooth Lipstick ($20 for 0.12 ounces of product on their website) in the shade Abundance (soft coral). I then used ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Acid Setting Mist ($12 for 3.72 oz/ 110 mL at Ulta) to set my face. For touch ups I am using BH Studio Pro Matte Finish Pressed Powder ($3.50 on their website) in the shade 205.

Final Thoughts:

When I first attempted this look on May 18th 2021 for the Blue Cut Crease With Glitter Graphic Liner I really thought I would never get this look down pat. To be honest when I first started to create today’s look I must have said I hated the way this eye was coming together… But, as with all new makeup techniques, sometimes you just have to trust the process and trust that it will come together in the end. Once I have cleaned up the edges and popped on lashes I fell in love with this look. So much so that I have added this look to my Tiny Decisions app for looks to try.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.

Don’t forget to save a spoon for a bit of lipstick👄 .

XOXO, Nita
