Pride Look #2 June 2021 Face of the Day

Hey doll hey!!! How’s your Thursday going? Great I hope. I’m doing pretty good today. Small headache but other than that, plenty of spoons and low pain levels makeup for a happy Nita.

Today’s pride look is inspired by the flag that pertains to me… The Bisexual flag…. Pink, Purple and Blue… It didn’t come out the way I had envisioned it in my mind but I still think it’s kind of cute.

In case you missed the look I did on Wednesday you can find that Pride look 👉HERE.

Today’s scent is:

Versace Red Jeans (can be found online at Fragrance .NET and Amazon for under $20) was release in 1994 and is a spicy fresh scent with a hint of floral back notes.

Top Notes: Freesia, Peach, Black Currant and Apricot

Heart Notes: Water Lily, Rose, Lily of the Valley, Violet and Ylang-Ylang

Base Notes: Sandalwood, Musk and Vanilla

What I think about this scent: This is a fresh floral that is spicy and pairs well with jeans and a cute little top or with a fun little sundress. This one doesn’t have great staying power but is such a pretty scent that I don’t even mind. I just keep a travel perfume decanter with me to touch up on the go.

On to the walk through for today’s Face of the Day….

Eyes and Brows:

I did my brows using Uoma BROW-FRO Baby Hair ($22 for 0.002 oz of product at Ulta) in the shade #6 (deep brown). I carved out the brow using Beauty Creations Color Base Primer ($4 for 0.5 fl oz of product on their website) in the shade Ballerina (nude cream). I then set the brow line with the shade Snow Cap (vanilla white – matte) from the BH Cosmetics Smitten in Switzerland 16 pan palette (Currently on sale for $8.50 at Ulta but reg price is $17 for 0.56 oz making it 0.035 and $1.06 per shade with the sale it’s $0.53 per shade). I started the look off by using the Beauty Creations Color Base Primers ($4 for 0.5 fl oz of product on their website) in the shades: Barbie Pink (pink with a deeper hint of red), Blue My Mind (bright light blue) and Purple Cream (soft true purple) to created an Ombre look from lash line to just under the brow line. I then went in with the BH Cosmetics Trendy in Tokyo 16 pan palette ( $17 for 0.56 oz making it 0.035 and $1.06 per shade at Ulta), I applied shadows with the corresponding shades :  for pink I mixed 2 shades: Anime (bright pink – shimmer) and Emoji (vibrant neon pink – matte), for the purple I mixed 2 shades: Sake (dusty true purple – shimmer) and Kyoto (deep true purple – matte) and for the blue I mixed 3 shades: Lively (icy pastel blue – shimmer)Electric (deep true blue – shimmer) and Fortune (light powder blue – matte). I then took a cotton bud dipped in micellar water and carved out a winged out space at the crease line and than I used Beauty Creations Color Base Primer ($4 for 0.5 fl oz of product on their website) in the shade White Out (pure bright white) to brighten that wing and to give a bit of tackiness to lay glitter down. For the glitter I used the Flower Beauty Jungle Lights Palette ($17.99 for 0.7 oz / 21 g total product making it 0.116 oz / 3.5 g and $2.99 per shade at Ulta) and used the shade Paradise (champagne with a pale gold flip). I then created a heavy drop shadow using the 3 shadows I used for the lids on the lash line….  for pink I mixed 2 shades: Anime (bright pink – shimmer) and Emoji (vibrant neon pink – matte), for the purple I mixed 2 shades: Sake (dusty true purple – shimmer) and Kyoto (deep true purple – matte) and for the blue I mixed 3 shades: Lively (icy pastel blue – shimmer)Electric (deep true blue – shimmer) and Fortune (light powder blue – matte). I used the shade Blossom (a pale cherry pink – matte) to buff out the harsh line from the drop shadow. I lined my lower water lines using E.L.F No Budge Shadow Stick ($5 for 0.056 oz of product at Ulta) in the shade Champagne Crystal (very light champagne shimmer) and then topped that with a little of the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter ($22 for 0.085 oz/ 2.4 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Opal (golden opal pearl).

I contoured and bronzed using the ColourPop/SOL Face and Body Bronzing Balm ($15 for 1.1 oz / 31 g of product on their website) for contour I used Deep Dark and for bronzer I used Deep. I color corrected using L.A. Girl HD Pro Corrector Concealer ($4.99 for 0.28 oz at Ulta) in the shade Peach Corrector. For foundation today I’m using my No7 Protect & Perfect Advanced All in One Foundation SPF 50 ($15.99 for 1 fl oz of product at Target) in the shade Calico. Cheeks, Lips, Lashes and Touch Ups:

I used the Flower Beauty Day Glow Highlighting Glaze ($10.99 for  0.12 oz of product at Ulta) in the shade Stunner (pale champagne). For cream blush today I used Makeup Revolution Superdewy Liquid Blush ($7 for  0.5 fl oz pf product at Ulta) in the shade Flushing for You (bright coral rose). I set my under eyes using Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder ($28 for 0.14 oz/ 4.2 g of product at Sephora) in the shade #1 (fair to medium skin tones) and the rest of my face using Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Loose Setting Powder ($34 for 0.56 oz of product at Ulta) in the shade Translucent. I touched up the blush using L.A. I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their site but no longer available) in the shade Dial Up (vibrant hot pink) and topped my lips off with MAC (this shade is no longer available) Show Orchid (cool-toned, medium-dark fuchsia with a frost finish). For mascara I used the LA Girl Jetsetter Mascara ($6.99 for 0.32 oz of product at Ulta) and popped on a pair of ColourPop Falsies ($8 on their website) in the style Mami. I set my face using ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Acid Setting Mist ($12 for 3.72 oz of product at Ulta).  For touch ups I am using Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder – shade Creamy Natural (0.49 oz for $3.17 at Walmart). I added a touch of the Kylie Highlighter to the inner corners of my eyes with a bit more of the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter ($22 for 0.085 oz/ 2.4 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Opal (golden opal pearl).

Final Thoughts:

I think I would have liked this look a bit more if I had added more glitter to the wing and added blue to the water line. I’ll have to try this look out again with a few changes.

Flower Beauty Day Glow Highlighting Glaze ($10.99 for  0.12 oz of product at Ulta) in the shade Stunner (pale champagne) is billed as a lightweight, cream highlighter that diffuses light for a natural-looking, lit-from-within glow. It comes in 2 shades Ablaze is the other shade and it’s sort of a bronze glow.

I give this cream highlighter a solid A+++!!! : When I first hauled this highlighter I though this would be like the RMS Beauty Highlighter Balm, very subtle but nope it’s AMAZING!!! I had glow even after setting my face. It’s the perfect light from within glow.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.

🥄 Don’t forget to save a spoon for a bit of lipstick 🥄
