Pride Look #4 June 2021 Face of the Day

Hey doll hey!! Hope you are having a great Thursday (Friday when this posts). How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m having an amazing day. High energy, low pain… only a small tension headache because of the storm….

I wanted to create a subtle but powerful Pride look… something that you can wear to work that is paired down and still feel like a glitter queen or king….

In case you missed the other looks in my Pride series you can find them 👉 Pride Look 1, Pride Look 2 and Pride Look 3.

Let’s jump into today’s Face of the Day walk through….

Today’s scent is:

Ralph Lauren Romance was released in 1998 an retails for $58 for 1 fl oz, $78 for 1.7 fl oz and $98 for 3.4 fl oz of product at Ulta and Sephora and has a classic musky floral scent.

Top Notes: Sun Goddess Rose, Chamomile, Lychee, Lemon, Marigold, Ginger and Yellow Freesia.

Heart Notes: Mandarin, Pink Pepper, Lily, Lotus, White Violet, Jasmine, and Carnation.

Base Notes: White Musk, Patchouli, Oakmoss and Exotic Woods.

What I think of this scent: This is a classic scent, very timeless and one of my favorite warm weather scents. It pairs nicely with jeans and a cold shoulder top with flip flops, a cute little sundress with sandals, and even a cute little date night number… it’s an all around go to scent for spring/summer.

Eyes and Brows:

I set my brows using got2b glued styling spiking hair glue by Schwarzkopf ($14.91 for 3, 6 oz tubes on Amazon, it’s also sold at most drug and big box stores). I brushed the gel through my brows and used the handle of my spoolie brush to flatten my brows out and once they dried I feathered my brows with Milani Stay Put Brow Color ($8.49 for 0.09 oz of product at Ulta) in the shade Dark Brown 05. I carved out my brows and primed my lids using Juvia’s Place I Prep, I Prime ($12 for 12 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade #1 (milky white). For today’s eyeshadow look I used the ColourPop x Kathleen Lights So Jaded 30 pan Palette (No Longer Available, was limited edition). I started my setting my brow line using the shade My Precious (pale peach – matte). As my transition color I used the shade Rose Quartz (soft neutral mauve – matte). For the outer v and outer 1/3 of my mobile lids I used the shade Jasper (red brown – sequin mate). I used a clean fluffy brush to blend the inner and outer 1/2 of the upper crease seamlessly. For the inner 2/3 of my mobile lids I used the shade Diamond (icy champagne with blue reflects – metallic). I then used a cotton bud and micellar water to cut the wing line at the lash line. I added more primer to the wing line and then filled he primer with Alora Cosmetics Glitter Liner ($6.99 but on sale for $3.99 each on her website) starting with the inner corner and working my way to the tail. I lined my lower waterlines using L.A. Girl Shockwave Eyeliner ($4.49 at Ulta) in the shade Screamin (neon yellow). For the lower lash line I used more of the shade Jasper (red brown – sequin mate) and then buffed that out with more of Rose Quartz (soft neutral mauve – matte). I highlighted the inner corners of my eyes using a combo of the shades Smoky Quartz (icy taupe – metallic),Smoky Quartz (icy taupe – metallic) and Diamond (icy champagne with blue reflects – metallic).

Complexion:

I primed my face using Fenty by Rihanna Pro Filt’r Hydrating Primer ($32 for 1.0 oz/ 30 mL of product at Sephora). I then used a bit of Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter ($44 for 1.0 oz/ 30 mL at Sephora) in the shade 3 (neutral peach for light to medium skin). I color corrected my under eyes using L.A. Girl HD Pro Corrector Concealer ($4.99 for 0.28 fl oz at Ulta) in the shade Peach Corrector. I concealed using Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Concealer ($26 for 0.27 fl oz at Sephora) in the shade 110 (for very fair skin w/ cool pink undertones). For foundation today I used Fenty by Rihanna Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint ($29.50 for 1.08 oz/ 32 mL of product at Sephora) in the shade 1 (light with cool neutral undertones). For contour I used Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Stick ($25 for 0.35 oz of product at Ulta) in the shade Mink (toasted almond). I bronzed using NARS Sunkissed Bronzing Cream ($38 for 0.67 oz of product on their website) in the shade Casino (medium brown). I highlighted the high point of my face using Flower Beauty Day Glow Highlighting Glaze ($10.99 for  0.12 oz of product at Ulta) in the shade Stunner (pale champagne).

Cheeks, Lips, Lashes and Touch Ups:

For blush I used Hourglass Vanish Blush Stick ($46 for 0.2 oz/ 6 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Sacred (coral peach).  I set my under eyes using Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder ($28 for 0.14 oz/ 4.2 g of product at Sephora) in the shade #1 (fair to medium skin tones) and the rest of my face using Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Loose Setting Powder ($34 for 0.56 oz of product at Ulta) in the shade Translucent. I topped my highlighter off using Makeup Revolution Highlighter Reloaded ($7 for 0.35 oz of product at Ulta) in the shade Raise the Bar (yellow gold). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Sow Happy (mid toned peachy nude) and filled in my lips using Natasha Denona I Need A Nude Lipstick ($25 for .0.14 oz / 4 g of product on the Beautylish website) in the shade 21 P Sava (Soft pink with a luminous finish) . For mascara I used the LA Girl Jetsetter Mascara ($6.99 for 0.32 oz of product at Ulta) and popped on a pair of Alora Cosmetics 3D Mink Lashes in the style Hollywood ($9.99 but on sale for $6.99 on her website). I set my face using ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Acid Setting Mist ($12 for 3.72 oz of product at Ulta).  For touch ups I am using Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder – shade Creamy Natural (0.49 oz for $3.17 at Walmart).

Final Thoughts:

I really love a neutral eye with a pop of color and I love a good rainbow eyeliner moment. This is probably my favorite rainbow liner I’ve ever done.

Alora Cosmetics 3D Mink Lashes in the style Hollywood ($9.99 but on sale for $6.99 on her website).

I give these lashes a solid A+++!!! and a standing ovation: These lashes are STUNNING! They have a thick band that is virtually weightless. The lashes are fluffy (25 mm) but they aren’t over the top Muppet lashes. I am so in love with this style that I will be ordering these lashes for my wedding renewal.

Alora Cosmetics Glitter Liner ($6.99 but on sale for $3.99 each on her website).

I give these liners a solid A+++!!! : These liners were such a joy to work with. They are super saturated with colored glitter and once they dry they do not budge.. they lasted all day with no cracking and stayed vibrant all day. They were easy to remove… just a bit of makeup balm and warm water.

Natasha Denona I Need A Nude Lipstick ($25 for .0.14 oz / 4 g of product on the Beautylish website) in the shade 21 P Sava (Soft pink with a luminous finish).

I give this lipstick a solid A+++!!! : This lipstick shade is my perfect nude and was so creamy and lasted a long time without touch up. I need more of her lipstick formula… it’s just amazing.

Fenty by Rihanna Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint ($29.50 for 1.08 oz/ 32 mL of product at Sephora) in the shade 1 (light with cool neutral undertones).

I give this skin tint a solid A : This skin tint was a bit fiddley to work with. I tried with a sponge and it was too light so I tried with HER brush and it was too streaky, so I applied it with an flat eyeshadow brush and buffed it in with HER brush and than bounced my Juno and Co sponge over the streaks and that seamed to work. This is a light to medium coverage product that once worked in was so pretty but because it was such a pain to work in I can’t justify grading it higher.

Well dolls that’s all for today’s Face of the Day…. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.

Remember… Save a 🥄 spoon for a little lipstick 🥄
