June 2021 Haul #4 Ulta Haul

Hey doll hey!!! How are you this Saturday morning/night? Great I hope. I’m ok today… headache is back in full force but pain levels and energy are pretty good.

I have a super quick Ulta Haul for you… I only have 3 more big box brand orders left and then I want to concentrate on indie brands for a bit… I did put myself on a low buy so the next few hauls will probably be quick hauls.

I have a Glamlite, ColourPop and BH Cosmetics order that is still be processed… The Glamlite order wont be here until August (pre-order).

and…. on to the haul, swatches and first impressions:

*As always… All products listed I purchased myself, all links provided are purely for convenience purposes to help you find the product quickly and are in no way affiliate links. The swatches are done on clean bare skin with no primer and are done in 1 swipe, pictures to the left/top are taking without flash and the right/bottom with flash*

#1. Makeup Revolution Eye Bright Concealer ($10 for 0.01 fl oz / 2.96 mL at Ulta) comes in 8 shades and is billed as being specially formulated to target under eye circles. It claims to instantly brighten, conceal redness and blemishes seamlessly and have a smooth creamy formula that is both cruelty free and vegan.

First Impressions: I purchased this concealer after I saw it floating around TikTok as a “dupe” for the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand ($38 for 0.40 oz/ 12mL of product at Sephora). This is a dupe in formula and shade but will not save you any money as the Charlotte Tilbury one has 4 times as much product at the Makeup Revolution one for around the same price point but in a pinch when you’re low on funds the Eye Bright Concealer is a perfect dupe.

I still love my Charlotte Tilbury Contour Wand more… but I ran out and wanted to see just how comparable the two really were…

The eye bright concealer is nice, I’ll reach for it and I may even repurchase. It’s creamy and super pigmented and has a reasonable price point.

Elizabeth Arden White Tea ($42 for 1.7 fl oz / 50.28 mL of product at Ulta) was released in 2017 and is billed as Woody Floral inspired by the simple pleasure that accompanies the first sip of tea.

Top Notes: Italian Mandarin, Clary Sage, Japanese White Fern and Sea Breeze Accord.

Heart Notes: White Tea, White Iris, Mate Absolute (a dark green solid requiring heating to dissolve. It has a Matcha-Green-Tea odor. Useful in herbal, fougere, forest and tobacco type fragrances or wherever a natural Green Tea effect is required.), Turkish Rose and Sapucaya Atmospheric (Brazilian Monkey Pot Fruit).

Base Notes: Ambrette Seed Absolute (musk mallow), Tonka Bean, Amber, and Madras Wood.

What I think about this scent: This is a well rounded scent for me. I only just tried it for the first time last week and enjoyed the scent so much that I purchased the big bottle (side note this is the scent I will be wearing for my wedding renewal). It’s a woody floral that pairs well for any occasion. It’s crisp and inviting and envelops you in a sense of sipping tea by the fire whilst reading your favorite book.

Elizabeth Arden White Tea Vanilla Orchid ($42 for 1.7 fl oz / 50.28 mL of product at Ulta) was released in 2019 and is billed as an invitation to warmth and comfort that is an opulent, innocent, alluring floral fragrance that brings you to a place of warm tranquility.

Top Notes: Lemon, Bergamot Elemi Oil (same family as Frankincense and Myrrh) and Quince.

Heart Notes: Vanilla Orchid, Dewy Jasmine, White Tea and Gardenia.

Base Notes: Ambrette (Musk Mallow), Orris, Vanilla, Amber and Musk

What I think of this scent: This is such a beautiful scent. It’s a warm floral that finishes a bit spicy. It’s perfect for sun dresses and flip flops.

KVD Beauty Dazzle Vegan Eyeshadow Stick ($22 for 0.12 oz / 3.55 mL of product at Ulta) is billed as  a vegan, long-wear eyeshadow stick loaded with brilliant flecks of multidimensional pearls to deliver prismatic eyeshadow in a flash. Featuring a 36% water base with a cool, refreshing feel, the vegan formula dries down to a smooth and lustrous finish, locking prismatic pearl color onto lids. Don’t let the water fool you, these pigment-packed, vegan eyeshadow sticks deliver rich, opaque color for ultra-dazzling dimension.

It comes in 6 shades:

Flash Storm (described as a dreamy sterling but is actually a plum base with silver metallic finish)

First Impression: I patted the shade out and it took on a taupe like shade to it. It blends out so easily but sets quick and sets down almost completely budge proof. I did have a slight amount of glitter transfer to my finger when I tested how budge proof it was but it was so faint so I can honestly say this is budge proof.

Force Field (fiery ruby)

Same first impression but here is a swatch after I patted the product out.

Hail Surge (described as a soft pearl but is actually a champagne base with a peachy metallic finish)

First Impression: I love this shade blended out… It turns into an ethereal scatter shadow that is going to look stunning as a wash of color over the mobile lid for my wedding renewal.

Electro Bolt (fierce copper)

Same first impression but here is a swatch after I patted the product out.

Lightning Strike (bold bronze)

Same first impression but here is a swatch after I patted the product out.

Thunder Cloud (cool silver)

First Impression: Again this shade blends out into this beautiful ethereal scatter shadow that is stunning.

And with that this haul post is done…. I hope you have a great rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.

🥄 Remember… Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick 🥄
