Hey doll hey!! How’s your Saturday day/night going? Great I hope. I’m Ok. Some pain after going to the food shops with the rain storm but I was able to play with makeup so that’s good.
I wanted to do a look using the BH Cosmetics Party in Puerto Rico 16 Color Shadow Palette ($17 for 0.56 oz / 16 g of product on their website making it 0.035 oz/ 1 g and $1.06 per shade) and since it’s orange heavy in color story I decided to jump right in with those shades.

I’ve already told you how I feel about this scent…. It’s stunning. This is the one I’ll be wearing on our wedding renewal day.
Now… on to the walk through for today’s Face of the Day….

Eyes and Brows:

I set my brows using got2b glued styling spiking hair glue by Schwarzkopf ($14.91 for 3, 6 oz tubes on Amazon, it’s also sold at most drug and big box stores). I brushed the gel through my brows and used the handle of my spoolie brush to flatten my brows out and once they dried I feathered my brows with ELF Cosmetics Lock on Liner and Brow Cream ($4 for 0.19 oz /5.39 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Medium Brown. I carved out my brows and primed the lids using P.Louise Base ($13.88, £10 for 0.504 fl oz / 15 mL on their website) in the shade Rumour 0 (white base). For today’s look I used the BH Cosmetics Party in Puerto Rico 16 Color Shadow Palette ($17 for 0.56 oz / 16 g of product on their website making it 0.035 oz/ 1 g and $1.06 per shade). I started by setting my brow line using the shade La Rambla (a neutral beige – matte) from BH Cosmetics Beautiful in Barcelona 16 pan palette ($17 Regular price 25% OFF on their website making the palette $12.75 for 0.56 oz/ 16 g making it 0.035 oz/ 1 g and $1.06 per shade or $0.80 with the sale). For my transition shade I used a combo of the shades Laguna Grande (deep dusty taupe) and El Yunque (pastel pale peach – matte) and took the transition all the way to the brow line. For the inner and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid I used the shade Culebrita (bright red based orange – matte). Once there was barely any product on the brush I connected the inner and outer 1/3 of the mobile lids at the crease with the residual on the fluffy crease brush. I then moved in 1/2 way on both the inner and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid and used the shade Cayo Icacos (deep true orange – matte) and once again using the residual from the brush to connect the inner and outer 1/3 at the crease line. I then dipped into the BH Cosmetics Passion in Paris 16 Color Shadow Palette ($17 for 0.56 oz / 16 g of product on their website making it 0.035 oz/ 1 g and $1.06 per shade) and took the shade Muse D’orsay (dusty black – matte) and combined it with the shades Culebrita (bright red based orange – matte) and Cayo Icacos (deep true orange – matte) from the Puerto Rico palette and deepened just the outer most part of the inner and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid. I did not connect this shade at the crease line. I then took the shade El Morro (true orange – metallic) and tapped a very light amount onto the middle between the inner and middle 1/3 and the middle and outer 1/3 of the mobile lids. I did not connect this in the crease either. I then took the shade San Juan (burnished gold – metallic) and tapped that over the middle 1/3 of the mobile lids. I then popped into the BH Cosmetics Passion in Paris 16 Color Shadow Palette ($17 for 0.56 oz / 16 g of product on their website making it 0.035 oz/ 1 g and $1.06 per shade) and took the shade Eiffel Tower (soft peach with a strong champagne flash – metallic) and tapped that over the very middle of the middle 1/3 of the mobile lids to add just a hint more light to the halo. I then took more of the shade Culebrita (bright red based orange – matte) and swept it over the whole crease and up to the brow line. For the bottom lash lines I used the residual of all the brushes to create a soft drop shadow and highlighted the inner corners of my eyes using the shade Louvre (icy white with a strong white flash – metallic) from the Paris palette. I lined my lower waterlines with L.A. Girl Shockwave Lip Liner ($4.49 for 0.04 oz / 1.13 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Outrage (neon orange).
Complexion:

I primed my face with ELF Cosmetics Jelly Pop Primer ($10 for 1.01 fl oz / 29.87 mL of product at Ulta). For foundation today I chose Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H Long Wear Matte Foundation ($47 for 1 oz/ 30 mL of product at Sephora) in the shade 270 Bisque W (light to medium skin with warm/yellow undertones). I contoured using Uoma Beauty Double Take Contour Stick ($40 for 0.38 oz / 10.77 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Brown Sugar (for brown skin). I bronzed using Tarte SEA Breezy Cream Bronzer ($29 for 0.56 oz/ 16 g at Sephora) in the shade Grace Bay (shade no longer available but is available on the Tarte website). I color corrected my under eyes using BECCA Under Eye Brightening Corrector ($32 for 0.16 oz/ 4.5 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Light to Medium (pearlized, peachy-pink). I concealed using Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Concealer ($30 for 0.5 oz/ 15 mL of product at Sephora) in the shade Vanilla (very light with neutral undertones). I highlighted the high points of the face using the Uoma Beauty Double Take Contour Stick ($40 for 0.38 oz / 10.77 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Brown Sugar (for brown skin).
Cheeks, Lips, Lashes and Touch Ups:

For my cheeks today I used bareMinerals BOUNCE & BLUR Blush ($29 for 0.19 oz / 5.9 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Coral Cloud (fresh peach). I set my under eyes using Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder ($28 for 0.14 oz/ 4.2 g of product at Sephora) in the shade #1 (fair to medium skin tones) and the rest of my face using Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Loose Setting Powder ($34 for 0.56 oz of product at Ulta) in the shade Translucent. I topped my highlighter off using the shade Sun Kissed (true gold highlight) from the BH Cosmetics Blushing in Bali 6 Color Blush and Highlighter Palette ($17, but on sale for $6.80 for 0.75 oz/ 21.5 g off total product making it 0.13 oz / 3.58 g and $2.83 per shade, $1.13 per shade on sale). I also used the shade Coral (soft coral – satin blush) from the same palette to top off my blush. I touched up my bronzer using BECCA Cosmetics Sunlit Bronzer ($38 for 0.25 oz/ 7.1 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Ipanema Sun (rich auburn brown). I lined and filled in my lips with ColourPop Lippie Pencil (shade no longer available on their website) in the shade Oh Sis (terracotta). I topped the lips with Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick ($20 but on sale for $12 on their website) in the shade Wild Child (true coral matte). I then topped the whole lip off with Tarte SEA Quench Lip Rescue Balm ($19 for 0.10 oz/ 2.8 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Coral. I coated my lashes in Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Curling & Lifting Mascara ($26 for 0.30 oz / 8.5 g and $13 for 0.14 oz/ 4 g of product at Sephora) and then popped on a pair of Beauty Creations 3D SILK LASHES ($4.99 on their website) in the style Reyna. I set my face using ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Acid Setting Mist ($12 for 3.72 oz of product at Ulta). For touch ups I am using Wet n Wild Photo Focus Pressed Powder ($5.99 for 0.26 oz / 7.5 g of product on their website and at Walgreens) in the shade Neutral Beige.
Final Thoughts:

I’ve never really played around with orange shadows. I think it’s super stunning and gives me a sense of being a bronzed goddess. I really don’t know why I haven’t really played around with orange shades, after all my favorite color is coral and orange is close to that shade.

bareMinerals Bounce and Blur Powder Blush $29 for 0.19 ounces of product on their website. This blush is billed as irresistibly touchable bouncy powder blush in 4 shades that build and blend effortlessly for a naturally healthy-looking flush. I chose the shade Coral Cloud (fresh peach).
I give this blush a solid A+++!!! : This blush has quickly become my hands down favorite blush ever. I wasn’t sure if I’ve already reviewed it or not, but it deserves to be so here it is. This is a cream to powder blush that is just STUNNING! It’s easy to apply, doesn’t disrupt other products and lasts all day. It blends out perfectly and is the perfect coral shade.

BH Cosmetics Party in Puerto Rico 16 Color Shadow Palette ($17 for 0.56 oz / 16 g of product on their website making it 0.035 oz/ 1 g and $1.06 per shade) is billed as an array of vibrant oranges and pinks plus smoky hits with intense pigment payoff can keep up with beach and rainforest hopping, wild nightlife and everything in between.
I give this palette a solid A+++!!! : I used almost 1/2 the palette today and I have a few thoughts. First of all… the orange shades are super messy. The kickback is intense and the fallout on the face is wild. I always do my eyes first so this isn’t an issue for me, however if you do your base first I would suggest using shadow shields to catch the fallout… there is will be loads of it. Second of all… these orange shads are super pigmented, I really didn’t need a white base, I could have used my Rumour 05 and the look would still have been vibrant. Even with all the fallout and kickback this palette is a 100% winner.
Well that’s all dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.
🥄 Remember, Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick 🥄
