Simply Smokey Eye Face of the Day

Hey doll hey! How’s your Monday day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing OK. In some pain… we are having a huge storm here in Florida today… because of Hurricane Elsa… but nothing too heavy.

My Tiny Decisions app chose a smokey eye for today’s look.

For this look I used 2 of my stash palettes… my stash post can be found 👉🏽 HERE.

Today’s scent is:

Armani Code For Women ($50 for 1 fl oz / 29.57 mL and $72 for 1.7 fl oz / 50.28 mL at Ulta) was released in 2006 and is a woody floral scent.

Top Notes: Italian Orange, Sambac Jasmine and Bitter Orange.

Heart Notes: Jasmine, Orange Blossom and Ginger.

Base Notes: Vanilla, Sandalwood and Honey

What I think about this scent: This is a warm inviting scent that I wear when ever I’m feeling cozy. It’s like being wrapped up in your favorite warm cardigan. This is a scent that pairs great with business causal, playtime causal and boardwalk dressy.

Now… on to the walk through of today’s Face of the Day…..

FYI: I’ve been keeping my curly hair routine religiously so much so that I didn’t feel that I needed to wash my hair this Saturday, I’m going to try and maintain it so that I can last until Saturday of this week.

Eyes and Brows:

I set my brows using got2b glued styling spiking hair glue by Schwarzkopf ($14.91 for 3, 6 oz tubes on Amazon, it’s also sold at most drug and big box stores). I brushed the gel through my brows and used the handle of my spoolie brush to flatten my brows out and once they dried I feathered my brows with L.A. Girl Brow Pomade ($5.99 for 0.27 oz / 7.65 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Dark Brown. I carved out my brows using P.Louise Base ($13.88, £10 for 0.504 fl oz / 15 mL on their website) in the shade Rumour 05. For today’s eye look I used the Nabla Secret Palette ($39 for 0.46 oz / 13.1 g of total product at Ulta making it 0.036 oz / 0.873 g and $2.6 per shade) and the BH Cosmetics Smitten in Switzerland 16 Pan Palette ($17 but on sale for $6.80 for 0.56 oz / 16 g of total product at Ulta making it 0.035 oz / 1 g and $1.06 per shade and $0.43 per shade on sale). I started by applying P.Louise Base ($13.88, £10 for 0.504 fl oz / 15 mL on their website) in the shade Rumour 11 (dark brown) all over the mobile lids and then I used a fluffy crease brush to buff it into my lids and up into the crease, butting up against the brow line. I then set my brow line using the shade Snowcap (soft cream – matte) from the Smitten palette. I then used the shade Ghibli (salted caramel – super matte) from the Nabla palette for my transition. From the same palette I used the shade Mea Culpa (deep warm brown – super matte) from lid to crease and then I took a combo of the shades Chocolate (deep brown – matte) and Slope (soft grey – matte) and deepened the crease some more. I then took the shade Romeo (brown w/ pink undertone and copper-red shimmer – satin) and tapped that with my finger all over the mobile lids to give more dimension to the lids. I created a winged eyeliner using KVD Beauty Tattoo Eyeliner ($21 for 0.019 oz/ 0.55 mL of product at Sephora) in the shade Mad Max (brown). For the lower lash line I created a deep drop shadow using the more of the shade Ghibli (salted caramel – super matte). I then took more of the shade Mea Culpa (deep warm brown – super matte) along the lower lash lines. I then lined my lower waterlines using ColourPop BFF Crème Gel Liner ($6 but on sale for $4.20 on their website) in the shade Lattice (warm champagne – metallic). I highlighted the inner corners of my eyes using a combo of the shades Play Hard (aqua green duochrome w/ lime and jade reflects – crystal) and I Promise (light pink champagne – satin) from the Smitten palette.

I contoured using Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Stick ($25 for 0.35 oz / 9.92 g of product at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Mink (toasted almond) and bronzed using Juvia’s Place Shade Stick Foundation ($16 but on sale for $6 for 0.34 oz / 9.7 g of product on their website) in the shade Guinea (dark with neutral undertones). I applied a coat of ColourPop BFF Mascara ($9 for 0.24 oz / 6.80 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Black on Black and popped on a pair of Beauty Creations 3D SILK LASHES ($4.99 on their website) in the style Reyna. I set my face using ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Acid Setting Mist ($12 for 3.72 oz of product at Ulta). For touch ups I am using Milani Conceal + Perfect Shine-Proof Powder ($10.99 for 0.43 oz / 12.3 g of product on their website) in the shade 02 Nude .

Final Thoughts:

I never do a smokey eye the same way twice. I don’t know why I just can’t seem to reduplicate my smokey eyes, however I really love the way this eye came out. It’s smokey yet has a small pop of light to it.

Well that’s all dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.

🥄 Remember, Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick 🥄
