Hey doll hey!!! How’s your Wednesday day/night going? Great I hope. I’ve feeling good today.
Sadly my lighted vanity mirror died this morning so I couldn’t really see to do my best job at my makeup today. I’ll be ordering a new one this weekend.
Today’s makeup look is a no makeup – makeup look. Warning.. I am having a bad hair day… My hair never acts right the week that I dye it… it’s either too loose or too tight and today… it’s too tightly coiled.

Today’s scent is

Top Notes: Apricot, Black Currant, Freesia and Peach.
Heart Notes: Violet, Lily of the Valley, Rose, Water Lily and Ylang Ylang.
Base Notes: Sandalwood, Musk and Vanilla.
What I think about this perfume: I really adore this scent it just doesn’t last very long 3/4 hours tops. I keep a travel atomizer with me so that I can refresh the scent. It’s a little powerful at first so not the best choice for an office or clinical setting but it is a great date night or girls night out scent.
Now on to the walkthrough of today’s Face of the Day….

Eyes and Brows:

I set my brows using got2b glued styling spiking hair glue by Schwarzkopf ($14.91 for 3, 6 oz tubes on Amazon, it’s also sold at most drug and big box stores). I brushed the gel through my brows and used the handle of my spoolie brush to flatten my brows out and once they dried I feathered my brows with ELF Ultra Precise Brow Pencil ($5 for 0.002 oz / 0.566 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Deep Brown. Instead of going full filled brows I did very light strokes on the pencil to create a softer more natural looking brow. I very lightly primed my full lids using using P.Louise Base ($13.88, £10 for 0.504 fl oz / 15 mL on their website) in the shade Rumour 05. I used the tiniest amount of product to first clean up the brow line and then to lightly prime the lids. For today’s eye look I used the 4rd deepest bronzer shade in the BH Cosmetics Tanned in Tulum – 6 Color Bronzer & Highlighter Palette ($17 for 0.84 oz / 23.82 g of total product at Ulta making it 0.14 oz / 3.97 g and $2.83 per shade). I used a big fluffy crease brush to lightly buff the shade into the crease and up to the brow line. I then took a second big fluffy crease brush and my Catrice Prime & Fine Waterproof Mattifying Powder ($8 for 0.32 oz / 9.07 g of product at Ulta) and I buffed that all over the eye from lash to brow… this creates the most natural of shadow in the crease. I then used the residual of both crease brushes to add a hint of color to the lower lash line and then I highlighted my inner corners of the eyes using Hikari Cream Pigment Shadow ($19 on their website) in the shade Fairytale (icy white – metallic). I lined the lower waterlines using ColourPop BGG Crème Gel Liner ($6 on their website) in the shade Lattice (warm champagne – metallic).
Complexion:

For no makeup – makeup days I skip my second priming step (I prime with Good molecules Silicone-Free Priming Moisturizer as part of my skin care prep). The key to a good no makeup look is to not skip or skimp on your skin care routine. When doing a no makeup look I skip out on contouring, cream highlighter, primer, powder bronzer, powder blush, lipstick, lip liner and lashes. So for today I started the complexion using using Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer ($32 for 0.22 oz/ 6.23 g of product at Sephora) in the shade 05 Teddy (tan skin tones) very lightly at the tops of my cheeks, nose, temples and above my upper lip. (I do my upper lip on days when I’m just wearing gloss or a tint to give definition to the upper lip.) I then color corrected my under eyes using Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate ($12 for 0.10 oz / 2.835 g of product at Target, Walmart and the Pixi website) in the shade Brightening Peach. Very lightly I concealed then my under eyes using NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop 24HR Full Coverage Matte Concealer ($8.50 for 0.11 oz / 3.112 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Vanilla (vanilla with neutral undertones).
Cheeks, Lips, Lashes and Touch Ups:

My blush today is Hourglass Vanish Blush Stick ($46 for 0.2 oz/ 6 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Sacred (Coral Peach). I lightly set my under eyes using Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder for Under Eyes ($28 for 0.14 oz / 3.97 g of product at Ulta) and very VERY lightly set the rest of the face (concentrating mostly in the t zone) using Flower Beauty Miracle Matte Translucent Finishing Powder ($13.99 for 0.28 oz 7.94 g of product at Ulta). I lightly highlighted the high points of my face and my cupid’s bow using Milani Strobelight Instant Glow Powder ($9.99 for 0.30 oz / 8.5 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Afterglow (champagne). I used 1 coat of Flower Beauty Lash Warrior Mascara ($10.49 for 0.35 oz / 9.92 g of product at Ulta) in Fiercest Black. I applied a coat of ColourPop Lux Gloss ($8 on their website) in the shade Peace Lilly (pinky terracotta with pinpoints of gold and silver pearl). I set my face using ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Acid Setting Mist ($12 for 3.72 oz of product at Ulta). For touch ups I am using Catrice Prime & Fine Waterproof Mattifying Powder ($8 for 0.32 oz / 9.07 g of product at Ulta).
Final Thoughts:

Normally my no makeup looks are blended better and I look less ill, however I didn’t have my vanity light to help me see my blends and to help me see where I needed to adjust color so I didn’t look washes out… I think I could have probably used some falsies and it might have looked better too. The next time the Tiny Decisions app choses no makeup – makeup I’ll be better prepared to execute the look better.
Well that’s all dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.
👄 Remember, Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick 👄
