July 2021 Haul #6 – Wet n Wild

Hey doll hey!!! How’s your Sunday morning/day/night going? Great I hope. I’m still suffering from a shortage of spoons but I’m hanging in there….

I received my Wet n Wild order so I thought I’d haul it.

Before I do the Wet n Wild order I wanted to share a quick haul of the nails I purchased for my wedding renewal… I am so happy with this purchase I literally cried.

I placed an order with a small Latina owned business called Pressed by Melissa. I found her from her TikTok account and then traced her back to your Instagram. She has plenty of styles to choose from but also takes custom orders… as was the case with me… I wanted a look that I had seen on Pinterest and she did such and amazing job.

I started by ordering her sizing kit (it’s a card with every size nail she sells that has a space to size each finger for both the left and right hand…. you just simply pick the sizes that fit your nail bed and when you place your order you just plug in the size of each finger… presto a press-on nail set to fit you perfectly).

I then contacted her on Instagram and asked how best I could place my custom order along with give her the sizes I need. She messaged me back and said she would send me an invoice via email and so I paid via the invoice and then she messaged me that she would text me so that we could better communicate because we kept missing each other’s Instagram messages. (she’s in California and I’m in Florida so there is a 3 hour time difference). I sent her the picture bellow and asked that there only be 1 accent nail (the ring fingers) and that the rest of the fingers be plain coral nails. I loved the henna look to the flowered accent nails and I think she did a darn great job! I am super happy to wear these for my wedding renewal and I cried when I opened the box… like ugly cried I was so happy.

The left is the inspiration picture and the right it was Melissa was able to do for me…

Ok now… on to my Wet n Wild haul…..

*As always… All products listed I purchased myself, all links provided are purely for convenience purposes to help you find the product quickly and are in no way affiliate links. The swatches are done on clean bare skin with no primer and are done in 1 swipe, pictures to the left/top are taking without flash and the right/bottom with flash*

I have been a long time fan of Wet n Wild, I love the Photo Focus Dewy Foundation but had previously decluttered all of my Wet n Wild items because they were too old to keep in my collection. So it was high time to collect some new products.

1. Photo Focus Dewy Face Primer ($5.99 for 0.84 fl oz / 25 mL of product on their website and at most drug stores and big box stores like Walmart) is billed as afresh face starts with photo-prepping primer. Infused with Vitamin E, this lightweight formula helps smooth your skin for an even makeup application. The primer is infused with pearl pigments to add dimension for that glow-from-within look.

I’ve used this primer before, this is a repurchase for me. It leaves this ethereal glow to the skin that I just loved so much, I’ve been known use just the primer on days where I wasn’t even wearing makeup. It doesn’t blur but it does give this angelic lit from with in glow to the skin.

2. Bare Focus Tinted Hydrator Tinted Skin Veil (5.99 for 0.91 fl oz / 27 mL of product on their website and at most drug stores and big box stores like Walmart) is billed as a tinted hydrator with hyaluronic acid and vegan squalene is a one-way ticket to quenched perfection! Our new Bare Focus Tinted Hydrator features buildable, sheer-to-medium coverage with a semi-matte finish for a naturally flawless and nourished glow. Transforms a multi-step routine into a one-step regimen, so you’ll be ready in a splash with this lightweight, multipurpose and super convenient formula. If that’s not a beauty dream destination, we don’t know what is! Simply tap, blend and build to your preferred coverage for hydrated, radiant, instant perfection. Select from our versatile range of shades to transport yourself to complexion paradise!

This tinted moisturizer comes in 12 shades (it’s missing maybe 2 more shades on the deeper spectrum in my opinion) and I chose the shade Fair (the 2nd lightest shade).

First Impressions: This is a super hydrating product. I left the product on for 5 minutes and there was no oxidation and it did not set down so a light setting powder is best. It’s a pretty good shade match for me and there is no scent to this product (thank goodness, I was afraid there might be since the Photo Focus foundation smells like paint thinner).

3. Photo Focus Natural Finish Setting Spray ($5.99 for 1.52 fl oz / 45 mL of product on their website and at most drug stores and big box stores like Walmart) is billed as an exclusive formula that extends makeup wear by preventing cracking, smudging, fading, or creasing. Works with any makeup and all skin types, plus it has aloe to hydrate your skin. One step, perfect!

I did not open this one as I still am working through the setting spray I opened a few months ago… I do not like to have more than 1 setting spray open at a time.

4. Mega Last Incognito All-Day Full Coverage Concealer ($4.99 0.18 fl oz / 5.5 mL of product on their website and at most drug stores and big box stores like Walmart) is billed as all-day wear with buildable, matte, medium-to-full coverage, so you can get sly on the fly without them ever knowing. This formula is your new undercover agent, fully concealing imperfections without detection under sunlight or spotlight. Even better, Incognito Concealer brings skin crimes to justice with nourishing and hydrating ingredients like Shea Butter, Licorice Root Extract and Mango Seed Butter. Lightweight, ultra-long lasting and luxurious in application, our concealer has you completely covered whether you choose all work or all play. Seamlessly blendable, richly pigmented and also perfect for highlighting and contouring, they’ll simply never crack the endless secrets of the Incognito code.

It comes in 21 shades and I chose the shade Fair Beige (the second lightest shade).

First Impressions: This is a super pigmented concealer that reminds me of Tarte Shape Tape (if Shape Tape were more hydrating and thinner). I left it on for 5 minutes and it did not oxidize yet does set down almost completely. I gentle pat of powder would keep this one locked in.

5. MegaCushion Color Corrector ($5.99 for 0.28 oz / 8 g of product on their website and at most drug stores and big box stores like Walmart) is billed as an innovative color corrector in a cushion compact—the latest innovation in beauty. Just tap the cushion then bounce the skin-perfecting formula onto any areas that need a little attention. The cushion compact gives a lightweight application for a more natural look, allowing you to layer on for more coverage.

This corrector comes in Green (neutralizes redness), Yellow(neutralizes dullness), Peach (neutralizes dark circles) and Purple (neutralizes sallowness). I chose the shade Peach.

First Impressions: I really didn’t think this was going to be a good product. I had seen the review of the cushion products done by YouTuber Coffee Brake with Dani or Jessica Braun I can’t really remember which one did the review but they loved the products so much that I had to put it on my drug store wish list… I just kept pushing it further down the list because I really didn’t expect these products to work well… I am pleased to say I WAS WRONG! Not only is there total pigmentation of theses products there is also this pretty satin finish to them. I’m excited to test this one out.

6. MegaCushion Contour ($5.99 for 0.28 oz / 8 g of product on their website and at most drug stores and big box stores like Walmart) is billed as a soft and bouncy cushion compact is a dream to use. Build your own coverage with the no mess, no-fuss application.

This comes only in the shade Café au Slay (they could use a deeper shade as this will only work on light to light medium skin tones).

First Impressions: Same as I felt about the cushion color correct. Seems to be a really great product. The only down side is the undertone is no where correct for contour… this at best is a cream bronzer.

7. Photo Focus Loose Setting Powder ($5.99 for 0.70 oz / 20 g of product on their website and at most drug stores and big box stores like Walmart) is billed as a silky weightless setting powder that can be used to set, mattify, absorb oil or bake. Complete your foundation application with our setting powder to create a soft-focus effect and subtly blur the look of fine lines and imperfections.

It’s available in Translucent- recommended for fair to medium and tan skin tones; Banana- suitable for all skin tones; and Deep- recommended for medium-deep to deep skin tones.

First Impressions: This powder is very light weight. I did the levitation test (where you put some powder in the palm of your hand and then lightly blow across the palm to see how the powder will disburse if it goes up and out it’s a great powder for under the eyes, if it goes straight out and down it’s too heavy for setting or baking the under eyes) and this powder is so finely milled that it tested as perfect for the under eyes (even more so than my beloved Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Power).

8. Ultimate Brow Micro Brow Pencil ($4.49 for 0.002 oz / 0.06 g on their website and at most drug stores and big box stores like Walmart) is billed as easily achieve those bold statement or near perfect natural brows hyped by beauty influencers with this unique pencil featuring a 1.5 mm micro tip for expertly-drawn, tiny, hair-like strokes that are almost impossible to detect.  Amplified by the dual-ended design- use the spoolie end to groom and comb brows into shape and the retractable, smooth-applying tip to fill in sparse patches. Apply lightly for a natural feel or build those brows to an old Hollywood thickness, it’s purely your decision with this buildable and flexible brow pencil. Available in four colors to compliment a range of skin tones.

This pencil comes in 4 shades and I chose the shade Deep Brown.

I have not opened this one because I have several brow pencils open at present so I didn’t need a new one just yet.

9. MegaGlo Makeup Stick ($4.49 for 0.21 oz / 6 g of product on their website and at most drug stores and big box stores like Walmart) is billed as with one swipe of a stick, you can get catwalk-ready cheekbones, naturally flushed cheeks or an insanely glowy complexion. Toss one of these portable makeup sticks in your purse or pocket and you’ll be camera-ready in less time it takes to double tap. Available in: Strobe, Contour, Conceal and Blush.

This stick comes in 3 shades (none deep enough for darker skinned beauties) and I chose the deepest shade Where’s Walnut.

First Impressions: First of all the this is no way is a contour… it’s too orange based making it great for bronzing but no where ideal for contouring… still creamy, perfect pigmentation, and dries down almost all the way.

10. MegaGlo Makeup Stick ($4.49 for 0.21 oz / 6 g of product on their website and at most drug stores and big box stores like Walmart) is billed as In one swipe of a stick, you can get catwalk-ready cheekbones, naturally flushed cheeks or an insanely glowy complexion. Toss one of these portable makeup sticks in your purse or pocket and you’ll be camera-ready in less time it takes to double tap. Available in: Strobe, Contour, Conceal and Blush.

This shade is called Peach Bums (peach shimmery blush).

First Impressions: Same formula as the contour stick. This one is probably best for a blush topper as it’s not as pigmented, at least not in this swatch.

This shade is called Floral Majority (coral based pink).

First Impressions: This one is super pretty. I can’t wait to try this one out. It’s a subtle pigmentation that’s great for low maintenance days.

12. MegaGlo Liquid Highlighter ($5.99 for 0.5 fl oz / 15 mL of product on their website and at most drug stores and big box stores like Walmart) is billed as buildable liquid highlighter that delivers a multi-shimmer glow thanks to its shimmering pearl pigments. The hydrating formula is infused with powerhouses like Murumuru Seed Butter, Grapeseed Oil, and Vitamin E to help smooth out the skin’s texture. You’ll look radiant–even after a sleepless night.

This highlighter comes in 3 shades and this shade is called Halo Goodbye.

First Impressions: This is what I wanted when I purchased the Benefit Cosmetics WATTS UP highlighter. This shade is a spot on dupe for the Benefit one, however it is a million times better then it’s higher priced counterpart. It’s creamy and does dry completely down.

13. MegaGlo Highlighting Powder ($5.99 but on sale for $3.89 for 0.19 oz / 5.4 g of product on their website and at most drug stores and big box stores like Walmart) is billed as beautiful highlighters will guarantee your makeup look is always Mega Glo-rious! Infused with ultra-reflective and micro-fine pearl pigments, this baked powder is everything you need to shine radiantly from the inside out. The creamy formula is infused with nylon for a silky-smooth texture that allows for seamless blending.

This highlighter comes in 7 shades and I chose the shade Blossom Glow (champagne with a slight pink shift).

This is a repurchase for me. I simply love the tones of this highlighter. I have gone through 2 of this shade already. It’s so pretty.

14. MegaLast Liquid Catsuit High-Shine Lipstick ($5.49 0.20 oz / 5.7 g of product on their website and at most drug stores and big box stores like Walmart) is billed as inspired by the best-selling MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick, this MegaLast Catsuit High-Shine Lipstick combines all the comfort and shine of a gloss with the high-pigment of a lipstick. It provides brilliant, high-shine and ultra-pigmented lip lacquer to deliver a mirror-like gloss finish. This product is long-wearing and has a creamy texture for easy application. MegaLast Catsuit High-Shine Lipsticks are infused with a blend of vitamins, plant-based oils & butters to provide superior moisture and improve overall lip texture.

It comes in 13 shades, I chose 3… This shade is called Caught You Bare Naked (pale nude).

First Impressions: I wasn’t sure if I would like this or not. I seriously hated the original matte version. It was dry and felt like sand on the lips, not to mention always felt like it was pulling my lip skin off. So I am extreamly impressed with how perfect this formula is.

15. Snowmelt Lip Powder ($7.49 0.07 oz / 2 g of product on their website and at most drug stores and big box stores like Walmart) is billed as the newest lip formula that transforms from a snow-like powder to a cream texture upon application. The Snowmelt Lip Powder will leave a fresh, lasting tint available in 7 wearable shades. Its’ buildable, matte formula is flattering for all skin types.

This shade is called Snowball Fight (peach).

First Impressions: This has got to be the coolest formula I have ever tested out! It’s totally a powder (I should know because I got lip powder all over my vanity when I opened it) and yet as you wipe it across the lips it melts into the perfect formula of cream. I enjoyed the novelty of this product so much that I am keen to purchase the rest of the shades.

16. Cloud Pout Marshmallow Lip Mousse ($4.99 for 0.10 oz / 3 mL of product on their website and at most drug stores and big box stores like Walmart) is billed as an angelic color and comfort for your lips! This light-as-a-cloud, soft-matte, buildable and blendable formula contains Argan Oil, Avocado Oil, and Vitamin E to help nourish and moisturize, as well as bouncy Marshmallow Powder and sweet marshmallow scent! Blend for naturally diffused color, or build for fully saturated color and definition using the comfortably curved and tapered applicator. Formulated with Sodium Hyaluronate to help hydrate and smooth the appearance of fine lines, for a blurred and soft-focus finish. Luxuriously lightweight for a dreamy application, this lip mousse allows you to customize your look for any precious occasion.

It comes in 13 shades and I chose the shade Fluffernutter (tan nude).

First Impressions: First of all this lipstick smells super yummy… like caramel, even though they say it’s marshmallow scented. It’s not overly pigmented but it felt comfortable and has enough pigment that if you’re wearing a full face of makeup it wont look out of place.

This shade is called Peach Stole My Look ( peachy coral) and has to be by far my favorite shade of all the lippies I purchased from Wet n Wild.

This shade is called Taffy Tantrum (blue based hot pink)… This shade reminds me of Barbie for some odd reason. It’s going to be fantastic with the dress I’m wearing for my niece’s wedding.

19. The Metallic Palette ($14.99 for 0.85 oz / 24 g of total product making it 0.056 oz / 1.6 g and $0.99 per shade on their website and at most drug stores and big box stores like Walmart) is billed as having opened their vault to celebrate our 40th Anniversary with you! This limited-edition Metallic Palette features 15 of our most iconic shades. These ultra-pigmented metallic shades deliver high color payoff and buildable coverage. The ultra-smooth, long-lasting, creamy shadows let you create all the eye looks you want – from classic, neutral looks to bold and brilliant.

There are no names for these shades…. from left to right we have: Icey White, Champagne, Antiqued Gold, Bronze, Copper, Taupe, Rosy Mauve, Coral, Pink, Chocolate Brown and Silver.

from left to right we have: True Purple, Black with Purple Shimmer, Black with Teal Shimmer and Turquoise.

First Impressions: For the most part this palette is a hidden little gem… I mean a 15 pan palette of nothing but metallics? Sign me up, However, the total reason I was excited was for those to black shades…. the shimmer just doesn’t translate to swatches very well. I’m hoping the shades will translate better to the eyes… they are stunning in the pans.

And just like that… this haul is done.

👄 Remember, Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick 👄
