Simple Sultry Glam Face of the Day

Hey doll hey!!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. As I explained in my last post I am in a flair right but I did my makeup so I could do a thank you post on my TikTok for reaching 1,000 followers…. shameless plug… please follow me on TikTok → GrumpyPixie.

I used some of the items from this week’s Makeup Stash Box but I didn’t use all the items.

Today’s scent is:

Marc Jacobs Daisy Twinkle ($66.50 for 1.7 fl oz / 50.28 mL of perfume at Walmart) was released in 2017 and is an aquatic woody floral scent.

Top Notes Are: Violet Leaf and Red Berries.

Heart Notes Are: Violet and White Flowers.

Base Notes Are: White Woods and Musk.

What I think of this scent: It’s a great lazy weekend scent. This is a scent that I use when my tummy is a bit upset because it’s unassuming.

Now… onto the walkthrough for today’s Face of the Day….

Eyes and Brows:

I set my brows using got2b glued styling spiking hair glue by Schwarzkopf ($14.91 for 3, 6 oz tubes on Amazon, it’s also sold at most drug and big box stores). I brushed the gel through my brows and used the handle of my spoolie brush to flatten my brows out and once they dried I feathered my brows with Makeup Revolution Brow Pomade ($9 for 0.08 oz / 2.27 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Dark Brown is billed as being completely smudge-proof, Revolution’s Brow Pomade is perfect for coloring and defining flawless brows. I carved out my brow line and primed my lids using P.Louise Eye Base ($15 for 0.54 fl oz / 15 mL of product on her website) in the shade Rumour 0 (white). For today’s eye look I used the ColourPop Sandstone 18 Pan Palette ($22 for 0.48 oz / 13.61 g of total product at Ulta and on the ColourPop website making it 0.27 oz / 0.756 g and $1.22 per shade) and the Flower Beauty Jungle Lights Shadow Palette ($19 for 0.7 oz / 21 g of total product making it 0.12 oz / 3.5 g and $3.17 per shade on their website, also sold at Walmart, Target and Ulta). I started with the Sandstorm palette. For my transition I chose the shade Vortex (warm taupe – matte). For the Outer 1/2 of my mobile lid and the outer 1/2 of the crease I used the shade Grounded (deep cinnamon – matte). I then deepened the outer v of the crease using the shade Templeton (deep mahogany – matte). For the lower lash lines I used more of the shade Grounded (deep cinnamon – matte) to create a drop shadow and then I lined my lower water lines using ColourPop BFF Crème Gel Liner (part of the Like a Charm Liner Vault) in the shade Show Me (vivid true copper). I then patted NYX Long Lasting Glitter Primer ($6.50 for 0.33 oz 9.36 g of product at Ulta) over the inner 2/3 of my mobile lids and then I switched to the Jungle palette. On the middle 1/3 of the mobile lids I used the shade Amazon (rich gold – shimmer) and on the inner 1/3 of the mobile lid wrapping around the tear ducts I used the shade Paradise (sparkling champagne – shimmer). I then set the brow line using a bit of face powder.

I then topped my lips using BECCA Cosmetics Ultimate Lipstick Love (no longer in circulation due to them closing their doors in September.) in the shade Scarlet (warm deep red). I set my face using ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Acid Setting Mist ($12 for 3.72 fl oz / 100.02 mL of product at Ulta). For touch ups I’m using Wet N Wild Photo Focus Pressed Powder ($8.49 for 0.26 oz / 7.5 g of product at Walmart and on their website) in the shade Natural Beige.

Final Thoughts:

I really like the way this look came out. I do love a good red lip with a sultry eye and I feel like this is the best my brows have been is a while.

Well dolls… I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.

👄 Remember, Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick 👄
