Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing so much better. Great energy and low pain (around a 4 today). I’ll be doing a post on my updated health issues.
Today I deviated from my weekly makeup stash box so that I can play with some of my new Juvia’s Place palettes that I haul yesterday… it was an early birthday present and you can check out that post here →HERE←.

I love browns and teals in combination… it’s such a pretty look. I used shadows from 4 palettes today : ColourPop Stone Cold Fox ($34 at Ulta and on the ColourPop website), Juvia’s Place Saharan Palette ($20 at Ulta and on the ColourPop website), Juvia’s Place Nomad Palette ($15 but on sale for $9.75 on their website) and Juvia’s Place Saharan II Palette ($20 but on sale for $13 on their website). For the sake of not having to type in the names of the palettes over and over I will refer to them as Stone Cold Fox = SCF, Saharan = S, Nomad = N and Saharan II = SII.
I chose not to wear any perfume today because I used my Sol De Janeiro body wash and didn’t want to take away that wonder scent.
Now on to today walkthrough of today’s Face of the Day.

Eyes and Brows:

I set my brows using I set my brows using got2b glued styling spiking hair glue by Schwarzkopf ($14.91 for 3, 6 oz tubes on Amazon, it’s also sold at most drug and big box stores) and the Makeup Revolution Soap Styler Brow Brush ($6 on their website) . I brushed the gel through my brows and used the handle of my spoolie brush to flatten my brows out and once they dried I outlined and then filled in the tails of my brows using ELF Lock on Liner and Brow Cream ($4 for 0.19 oz / 5.11 g at Ulta) in the shade Espresso. I did the rest of my face and then came back and filled in the front of my brows using the Anastasia Beverly Bills Micro-Stroking Detailing Brow Pen ($22 for 0.017 fl oz / 0.50 mL at Ulta) in the shade Ebony (for black hair with neutral undertones). I carved out my brows and primed my lids using the Juvia’s Place i Prep i Prime Eye Primer ($12 for 0.406 fl oz / 12 mL on their website) in the shade 1. For today’s eye look I used the ColourPop Stone Cold Fox ($34 at Ulta and on the ColourPop website), Juvia’s Place Saharan Palette ($20 at Ulta and on the ColourPop website), Juvia’s Place Nomad Palette ($15 but on sale for $9.75 on their website) and Juvia’s Place Saharan II Palette ($20 but on sale for $13 on their website). For the sake of not having to type in the names of the palettes over and over I will refer to them as Stone Cold Fox = SCF, Saharan = S, Nomad = N and Saharan II = SII. I first set my brow line using the shade Trip (pale beigey taupe – matte) from the SCF palette. I then went in with the 3rd shade of the last row (dark olive green – matte) of the N palette as my transition shade from just touching the mobile lid to just touching the brow line. I then went into the S palette and used the shade Katsina (sepia – matte) in the crease buffing it into the upper transition area. I then went into the SII palette and used the shade Fez (deep terracotta brown – mate) on the outer 1/3 of the mobile lids and the outer v of the crease… taking this shade just a little into the crease to add depth. I then went back in to N palette and 2nd shade of the last row (deep dusty brown – matte) and I used it to define the outer 1/2 of the outer v of the crease. I then took more of the Juvia’s Place i Prep i Prime Eye Primer ($12 for 0.406 fl oz / 12 mL on their website) in the shade 1 and cut a low laying cut crease (only over the inner 2/3 of the mobile lid… taking it right up to the crease but not over the crease. I then took the shade Berber (bright turquoise – metallic) from the SII palette and patted that over the middle 1/3 of the cut crease. I then took the shade Chefchaouen (icy powder blue with a light gold reflect – metallic) and patted it over the inner 1/3 of the cut crease. For the lower lash line I started by creating a deep drop shadow using the S palette and the shade Katsina (sepia – matte). I then used the SCF palette. I then went in with the 3rd shade of the last row (dark olive green – matte) of the N palette along the lower lash line. I then deepened the drop shadow more by using the SII palette and used the shade Fez (deep terracotta brown – mate). I then deepened the outer 1/3 of the lower lash line and connecting it to the outer v of the cease using the N palette and 2nd shade of the last row (deep dusty brown – matte). To high light the inner corners of my eyes I used SII and the shade Aziza (pale gold with a green yellow duochrome) which I layered over with SCF and the shade dreamful (pearly true white with silver pearl – sequin matte) and the shade Iman (pearl white – shimmer) from the S palette. I lined my lower water lines using NYX Slide On Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliner ($8 for 0.04 oz / 1.13 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Azure (bright light blue). I then added just the shade Berber (bright turquoise – metallic) from the SII palette to the center of my lower lash line for added dimension.
Complexion:

I primed my face using Milani Bright Side Illuminating Face Primer ($10.99 for 1 fl oz / 30 mL at Ulta). I contoured using Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Stick ($25 for 0.35 oz / 9.92 g at Ulta) in the shade Mink (contour toasted almond). I also highlighted the high points of my face using Believe Beauty All Over Glow ($5 for 0.85 fl oz / 25 mL only at Dollar General). I color corrected my under eyes using Wet n Wild MegaCushion Color Corrector -Peach ($5.99 for 0.28 fl oz / 8.28 mL on their website and at Walmart). For my foundation today I used a new one that I never hauled – Physicians Formula Butter Believe It! Foundation + Concealer ($11.99 for 1 fl oz / 30 mL of product at Ulta) in the shade Fair. I then concealed using Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Concealer ($29 for 0.23 fl oz / 6.80 mL at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade N1 (fair with neutral undertones). I bronzed using ELF Putty Bronzer ($6 for 0.35 oz / 9.92 g at Ulta and on the ELF website) in the shade Sun Kissed.
Cheeks, Lips, Lashes and Touch Ups:

I started with cream blush using Tarte SEA Breezy Cream Blush ($27 for 0.17 oz / 5 g at Sephora) in the shade Peach Sunset (peachy pink). I then baked my T-Zone and set my under eyes using RCMA No Color Powder ($14 for 3 oz / 85.05 g on the Beautylish website and at Camera Ready Cosmetics). I had to brighten the center of my face a bit because the foundation was just a tad darker than I am. I set the rest of my face using Milani Make It Last Setting Powder ($10.99 for 0.14 oz / 3.97 g at Ulta) in the shade 01 Translucent Light to Medium. I then touched up my bronzer using BH Cosmetics Tanned in Tulum – 6 Color Bronzer & Highlighter Palette ($17 for a total of 0.84 oz / 23.81 g at Ulta and on their website, making it 0.14 oz / 3.97 g and $2.83 per shade) in the shade El Castillo, my blush using Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush ($29 for 0.2 oz / 5.67 g at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Captivating (bright peach). I added a bit more highlight using Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder ($5.99 for 0.19 oz / 5.37 g at Ulta) in the shade Blossom Glow. I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in BFF 2 (mid toned nude) and then topped my lips with Huda Beauty Power Bullet Cream Glow Hydrating Lipstick ($25 for 0.1 oz/ 3 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Sweet Cheeks (medium nude mauve). I then filled in the front of my brows and created hair like flicks throughout the whole brow using the Anastasia Beverly Bills Micro-Stroking Detailing Brow Pen ($22 for 0.017 fl oz / 0.50 mL at Ulta) in the shade Ebony (for black hair with neutral undertones). I added a coat of Flower Beauty Lash Warrior Mascara ($10.49 for 0.35 oz / 9.92 g of product at Ulta) and then popped on a pair of Eylure Vegas Nay Grand Glamour False Lashes ($12.99 for a 3 pack at Ulta). I set my face using ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Acid Setting Mist ($12 for 3.72 fl oz / 100.01 mL of product at Ulta). I used my setting spray at several points in my makeup application so I did not need a touch up powder today.
Final Thoughts:

I truly love a good teal and brown moment. It’s one of my favorite color combinations. I really like my makeup today… all save the brows… today the bros are a divorced couple instead of sisters.

Physicians Formula Butter Believe It! Foundation + Concealer ($11.99 for 1 fl oz / 30 mL of product at Ulta) is billed as ultra-luxurious, foundation + concealer, infused with a powerful blend of Murumuru Butter, Cupuaçu Butter and Tucuma Butter, from the lush, nutrient-rich Amazon. The Physicians Formula Butter Believe It! Foundation + Concealer has an incredibly creamy texture that melts onto skin leaving a natural radiant glow, while the long-wearing, weightless formula provides buildable coverage. It comes in only 5 shades (none for deeper skin) at Ulta and 12 shades (5 for deeper skin) on their website. I purchased the shade Fair (the lightest shade they offer).
I give this foundation a solid A++! : This foundation is SUPER full coverage. So much so that it completely covered my contour and I had to apply a light layer over the foundation to get the definition back. This foundation is stunning on the face I also did not have to touch up my face at all today between the many layers of setting spray and the setting powder this foundation stayed nicely all day. There was no oxidation, no foundation breakup and even though it is a super full coverage foundation it looked like skin… no cakeiness, no patchiness and virtually no feeling of mask face… it felt very light weight. I wish I could have given this foundation a O grade but the tone range is so abysmal that I just couldn’t justify that high of a rating.

Juvia’s Place The Saharan 12 Pan Palette (retail price $20 but on sale for $13 for 0.63 oz / 18 g of total product on their website making it 0.053 oz / 1.5 g and $1.66 at retail price $1.08 at sale price per shade) is billed as being inspired by the vibrancy and vivaciousness of the Fulani culture, The Saharan Palette features 12 stunning shades of carefully-considered and beautifully coordinated colors that intensify every makeup look with transformative style.
I give this palette a solid O+ : I only used 2 shades in this palette but after swatching it and using the 2 shades that I did use I can honestly say this palette is amazing. There was no kick back in the pan, no fallout on my face and the matte shade is super buttery and the metallic shade was super creamy and went on like liquid. Juvia’s Place has grown to be my top favorite shadow formula. It’s always consistent, the color stories are always breath taking and the price is incredible for the amount of product you get in each pan. The shadows are highly pigmented, work well with other brand’s shadows and never go patchy or crease and crack.

Juvia’s Place The Nomad 9 Pan Palette (retail price $15 but on sale for $9.75 for 0.67 oz / 18.9 g of total product on their website making it 0.074 oz / 2.1 g and $1.68 at retail price and $1.08 per shade) is billed as the iconic eyeshadow palette featuring Fall’s perfect color spectrum. From striking marigold to shimmering honey to deep merlot and more, you’ll experience bold, empowered, flawless finishes from the colorful eyeshadow that complements every nude, brown and yellow eyeshadow look.
I give this palette a solid A+++!!! : There isn’t anything wrong with this palette I just couldn’t give it an O rating because out of all their color stories this is my least favorite… I don’t hate it at all I just like the other palette colors more. I only used 2 shades in this palette (both matte) but there was no kick back in the pans, no fall out on the face and these shadows buffed out so fast and easy.

Juvia’s Place The Saharan II 9 Pan Palette (retail price $20 but on sale for $13 for 1.14 oz / 32.4 g of total product on their website making it 0.13 oz / 3.6 g and $2.22 at retail price and $1.44 at sale price per shade) is billed as the highly pigmented, hot and spicy vibe, The Saharan II Eyeshadow Palette consists of 9 highly pigmented metallic shades, duo chromes and matte shades that will transform you into a regal goddess. Inspired by the rich colors in Moroccan spices, herbs, cities and rich patterns. A one of a kind journey through in the beauty realm.
I give this palette a solid O+++!!! : This is by far my favorite Juvia’s Place color story!!! It’s gorgeous. There was no kick back in the pans, no fall out on the face and these shades blended like a dream. I only used 3 shades but the metallics were smooth and liquid like and the matte shade was finely milled and buttery smooth. The pigmentation of these metallics is insane. I’m going to find it hard to put this palette done.
And that concludes today’s Face of the Day walkthrough…
I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.
👄Remember, Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick👄
