Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing OK today…I feel a bit queasy today but I was still able to play around in my makeup and I received another birthday gift in the mail 😜.
Let’s take a look at what I received for my birthday.
Benefit Cosmetics POWmade Waterproof Brow Pomade ($20 for 0.17 oz / 5 g of product at Ulta) in the shade #5 (warm black/brown) is billed as a full-pigment brow pomade with a creamy, waterproof, non-drying formula allows you to fill, sculpt & define brows with natural-looking depth & dimension. It claims to be 36-hour wear, waterproof and smudge proof with a built in brush wiper.
First Impressions: This pomade is super pigmented and super creamy, it would appear that very little product will go a very long way.
Benefit Cosmetics Dual-ended Angled Eyebrow Brush ($18 at Ulta) is billed as featuring a brush made of silky synthetic fibers that form short, stiff bristles at a steep angle for precise, controlled application and a custom spoolie for smooth, seamless blending.
First Impressions: It’s a standard eye brow brush… no bells or whistles but it’s a welcome addition to my collection.
Estee Lauder Beautiful Bell Perfume ($75 for 1 fl oz / 30 mL, $95 for 1.7 fl oz / 50.28 mL, and $128 for 3.4 fl oz / 100.55 mL of product at Ulta) was released in 2018 and has a warm floral scent. It’s billed as romantic, carefree and irreverent with scent notes of:
Top Notes: Mimosa, Litchi and Rose.
Heart Notes: Tuberose, Gardenia and Orange Blossom.
Base Notes: Marzipan, Musk, Ambroxan, Orris and Suede.
Tarte Shape Tape Ultra Creamy Concealer ($29 for 0.33 fl oz / 10 mL of product – there is a mini offered for $10 for 0.034 fl oz / 1 mL of product at Ulta), comes in 35 shades and this one is in the shade #12N (fair neutral) is billed as the iconic Shape Tape Concealer, now in an EVEN CREAMIER cushiony formula that delivers 24-HR moisturization.
First Impressions: I have already tested this concealer out it’s amazing, creamy, full coverage and doesn’t crease. I didn’t open this to swatch it because I have the mini open. I’ve placed this one in my backup bin.

Tarte Travel Size Maneater Mascara ($12 for 0.15 oz / 4.25 g of product, the full size is $23 for 0.3 oz / 8.51 g of product at Ulta) is billed as dress your lashes like you style your hair with this lengthening, curling and volumizing mascara. With a soft-flex brush and lightweight triple-black formula, it lifts lashes at the root, styles and fans them out to create amped-up fluttery fullness with no flaking or clumping. The custom molded brush features hundreds of flexible bristles to curl and coat lashes with even, intense pigment powered by lash-strengthening jojoba and carnauba wax.
First Impressions: I’ve tried this mascara before and didn’t like it so I gifted this one to my niece.
Tarte Shape Tape Eye Cream ($35 for 0.33 oz / 9.36 g of product at Ulta) is billed as a multitasking priming & perfecting eye cream that visibly improves the look of crow’s feet, fine lines & wrinkles for a rested, youthful look.
First Impressions: I wont be using this eye cream since I have a skin care routine and am happy with the routine I have. I gave this to my niece as well.
Tarte Travel Size Shape Tape Glow Wand ($10 for 0.0338 fl oz / 1 ml of product, the full size is $27 for 0.2 fl oz / 5.91 mL of product at Ulta), comes in 8 shades and I have it in the shade A Light (opal glow) and it’s billed as an instant eye lift in a bottle formulated with a proprietary diamond complex to diffuse light, giving it a blurred, soft-focus filtered finish to turn back the clock on tired-looking under eyes.
First Impressions: I haven’t tried this out yet, I’m going to test it out tomorrow. I kept this item because I want to see how similar to the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter it is.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Face Palette ($58 for 0.28 oz / 8 g for the bronzer, 0.17 oz / 4.8 g for the highlighter and 0.17 oz / 4.8 g for the blush at Ulta) it comes in 3 color ways… I was gifted the Italian Summer color story and it is billed as a 3-well palette featuring bronzer, highlight, and blush that delivers a lightweight, buttery feel and seamless blend, illuminating skin for a long-lasting, natural radiance.
The shades from left to right are: Bronzer in the shade Pompia (light golden honey), Highlighter in the shade Sardania (light pale gold) and Blush in the shade Camellia (soft coral with gold pearl).
First Impressions: The powders are finely milled and have just the right amount of pigment to them. I am excited to have this as part of my collection, I’m even keen to purchase the color story Off to Costa Rica: Bronzer in the shade Tamarindo (amber brown), Highlighter in the shade Sunset Beach (shimmering bronze gold) and Blush in the shade Hibiscus (bright coral).

First Impressions: I’ve seen this mascara all over social media, I haven’t opened it just yet because I’m trying to work through the heap of mascaras I have open already.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick ($18 for 0.12 oz / 3.4 g of product in the full size, this mini has 0.045 oz / 1.3 g at Ulta) in the shade Dead Roses (rosy lilac) is billed as full pigment lip color with a smooth, ultra-matte finish. This lipstick formula comes in 24 shades.
First Impressions: This is such a stunning shade… perfect for fall and winter. It’s a matte but it’s a comfortable matte lipstick that lasted a very long time when I wore it today. I will be purchasing the full size of this shade.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss ($16 for 0.16 oz / 4.54 g of product in the full size, this mini has 0.07 oz / 2 g of product at Ulta) in the shade St Tropez (iridescent rose gold) is billed as a smooth, creamy formula that delivers high-shine lip color. Wear alone or layer with lipstick for lustrous color and high shine and boosts having an ultra-smooth, weightless formula that leaves lips with a mirror-like shine with a flat, sponge-tip applicator delivers multidimensional pigment neatly and precisely. This formula comes in 16 shades.
First Impressions: I already own one of their lip glosses and I love the formula, not to sticky, perfect pigmentation and lasts longer than most lip glosses. This shade is so pretty I am definitely getting the full size.
