Red and Pink Cut Crease Face of the Day

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing OK. My fibromyalgia and RA are settling down but now that I’m not on meds for my PCOS I am having a seriously rough PMS cycle.

I took yesterday off because I just couldn’t cope with the amount of pain my woman bits were in.

I wanted to play around with pinks and reds today and I think I came up with a super cute look.

For today’s look I used the ColourPop 5 Pan Palette in Swak ($10 for 0.15 oz / 4.25 total product on their website making it 0.03 oz / 0.85 g and $2 per shade) and the L.A. Girl Good Times And Tan Lines 16 Color Eyeshadow Palette ($15.99 for 1.23 oz / 34.87 g of total product making it 0.08 oz / 2.18 g and $1 per shade).

Today’s scent is…

Versace Red Jeans ($25.10 for 2.5 fl oz / 73.93 mL of perfume at Walmart) was released in 1994 and is a woody sweet floral with notes of:

Top Notes: Peach, Apricot, Freesia and Black Currant.

Heart Notes: Rose, Violet, Lily-of-the-Valley, Water Lily and Ylang-Ylang.

Base Notes: Musk, Vanilla and Sandalwood.

Now, let’s take a closer look and today’s walkthrough…

Eyes and Brows:

I set my brows using I set my brows using got2b glued styling spiking hair glue by Schwarzkopf ($14.91 for 3, 6 oz tubes on Amazon, it’s also sold at most drug and big box stores) which I applied with a disposable lip gloss wand and combed through with a disposable mascara wand and once they dried I outlined and then filled in my whole brows using the Uoma BROW-FRO Baby Hair ($22 for 0.002 oz / 0.057 g of product at Ulta) in the shade 06 (deep drown). I craved out my brow line and primed my lids using Beauty Creations Color Base ($4 for 0.5 fl oz / 15 mL of product on their website) in the shade White Out (pure white). I started by setting the brow line using the shade SPF(vanilla beige – matte) from the LA Girl palette. I combined the shades SPF(vanilla beige – matte) and Tan Lines (tan – matte) from the same palette as my transition shade. For my second transition I used the shade Sandals (soft coral – matte) from the same palette. I then switched to the ColourPop palette. As my crease shade I used the shade Canoodle (deep rose matte) and then tight into the crease I used the shade Mack (deep red – matte). I then cut the crease (over the inner 2/3 of the lids) using micellar water and a flat concealer brush and then applied more of the primer to the newly cut crease. I applied the ColourPop Super Shock Shadow ($7 but on sale right now for $4.90 for 0.074 oz / 2.1 g of product on their website) in the shade Ounce Upon a Dream (rose and coral duochrome with gold pin points) on the whole cut crease. I then took more of the shade Canoodle (deep rose matte) and buffed out the harsh line left between the middle and the outer 1/3 of the lids. I then took the shade Mack (deep red – matte) and created a long wing over the outer v of the crease. I then popped on 4 face gems in the space between the outer v and the outer 1/3 of the lids. For the lower lash lines I created a deep drop shadow using more of the shade Sandals (soft coral – matte) from the LA Girl palette. I then buffed in the shade Canoodle (deep rose matte) from the ColourPop palette. I deepened the lash lines with more of the shade Mack (deep red – matte) from the same palette and then lined my lower water lines using NYX Epic Wear Liner Stick Long Lasting Eyeliner Pencil ($8 for 0.043 oz / 1.22 g of product on the Ulta website) in the shade Pink Spirit (bright berry pink). I then feathered the front of my brows using Anastasia Beverly Bills Micro-Stroking Detailing Brow Pen ($22 for 0.017 fl oz / 0.503 mL of product at Ulta) in the shade Ebony (black hair with neutral undertones). I highlighted the inner corners of the eyes using the shade Besos (pale gold with pink pinpoints – metallic).

Complexion:

I primed my face using E.L.F. Mint Melt Cooling Primer ($8 for 1.01 fl oz / 30 mL of product on their website). I contoured using the  SOL Body Face & Body Bronzing Balm ($15 for 1 .1 oz / 31 g of product on the ColourPop website) in the shade Deep Dark. For foundation today I used the No. 7 Protect & Perfect ADVANCED All in One Foundation ($15.99 for 1 fl oz / 30 mL of product on their website) in the shade Calico (the second lightest shade). I bronzed using the Flower Beauty Pore Perfect Stick Foundation (discontinued) in the shade Mocha #50. I highlighted the high points of my face using the Flower Beauty Day Glow Highlighting Glaze ($10.99 for 0.12 oz / 3.4 g at Ulta) in the shade Stunner. I concealed the sides of my nose to clean up my contour using the BECCA Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealer (discontinued but there is 0.18 fl oz / 5.32 mL) in the shade Porcelain and then patted what ever was left on my sponge under my eyes to conceal them.

Cheeks, Lips, Lashes and Touch Ups:

For the cream blush I used the E.L.F. Putty Blush ($6 for 0.35 oz / 9.92 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Tahiti. I set my under eyes using the BECCA Undereye Brightening Setting Powder (discontinued but has 0.95 oz / 2.7 g of product) and the rest of my face using the Makeup Revolution Loose Baking Powder ($8 for 1.12 oz / 32 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Translucent (for all skin tones).  I touched up my bronzer using BH Cosmetics Tanned in Tulum – 6 Color Bronzer & Highlighter Palette ($17 for 0.84 oz / 23.8 g of total product at Ulta making it 0.14 oz / 3.97 g and $2.83 per shade) in the shade Ruinas and my blush using Makeup Revolution Blusher Reloaded ($7 for 0.26 oz / 7.5 g on their website) in the shade Lovestruck (candy pop pink) and my highlighter using Makeup Revolution Highlighter Reloaded ($7 for 0.35 oz / 9.92 g at Ulta) in the shade Dare to Divulge (rose gold). I lined my lips using the ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 for  0.035 oz / 0.99 g of product on their website) in the shade Oh Snap (muted pinky nude) and filled in my lips using the ColourPop Just a Tint ($8 for 0.07 oz / 2.10 g of product on their website) in the shade Rosé Way (sheer pinky coral) and then I topped the whole lip off with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss ($16 for 0.16 oz / 4.54 g of product in the full size, this mini has 0.07 oz / 2 g of product at Ulta) in the shade St Tropez (iridescent rose gold). I did a coat of the Makeup Revolution The Mascara Revolution ($10 for 0.5 fl oz / 14.79 g of product on their website) and popped on a pair of ColourPop Falsies Faux Mink Lashes ($8 per style at Ulta and on the ColourPop website) in the style Bae. I set my full face using Beauty Bakerie Spray Your Grace Setting Spray ($18 for 3.4 fl oz / 100 mL of product at Ulta).

Final Thoughts:

I truly love the way this look came out. This would be perfect for Valentine’s Day!! There wasn’t much I could do with the ColourPop palette story other than a Valentine’s Day look… but I truly loved everything… the eyes and that lip tint is stunning.

Just like that… the walkthrough for today’s Face of the Day is over.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night 🌞🌜 and that you are in great spirits and health 😄🩺.

👄Remember, Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick👄.
