Sultry Green Eye Face of the Day

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing great today.

I was wearing this super cute green shirt so I decided to do a green makeup look, but I got perfume oil on my shirt and had to change but the look came out stunning.

For today’s eye look I used the Earth & Ocean Eyeshadow Palette  ($14 for this 18 pan palette) and the MIKAYLA X GLAMLITE 30 PAN PALETTE ($42 for 1.26 oz / 36 g of product on their website making it 0.042 oz / 1.2 g and $1.40 per shade).

Today’s scent is…

Liz Claiborne Bora Bora Exotic ($26.22 for 3.4 fl oz / 100 mL at Walmart) was released in 2002 and is a aquatic powdery floral scent with notes of:

Top Notes: Mandarin Orange, Iris and Water Lily.

Heart Notes: Jasmine, Orange Blossom, Tuberose and Orchid.

Base Notes: Ginger and Sandalwood.

Let’s get into the walkthrough for today’s Face of the Day….

Eyes and Brows:

I set my brows using I set my brows using got2b glued styling spiking hair glue by Schwarzkopf ($14.91 for 3, 6 oz tubes on Amazon, it’s also sold at most drug and big box stores) which I applied with a disposable lip gloss wand and combed through with a disposable mascara wand and once they dried I outlined and then filled in my whole brows using the Milani Stay Put Brow Color ($8.99 for 0.09 oz / 2.55 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Dark Chocolate (the deepest shade). I craved out my brow line and primed my lids using the P.Louise Base ($14 for 0.54 fl oz / 15 mL of product on their website) in Rumor 0.5. For today’s eye look I used 2 palettes: the Earth & Ocean Eyeshadow Palette  ($14 for this 18 pan palette) and the MIKAYLA X GLAMLITE 30 PAN PALETTE ($42 for 1.26 oz / 36 g of product on their website making it 0.042 oz / 1.2 g and $1.40 per shade). I started by setting my brow line with a bit of translucent setting powder. Then starting with the E.L.F. palette I patted the shade Spruced Up (deep olive green – matte) all through my crease. I did not blend this shade. I kept it tight packed into the crease and then opened my eyes to make sure I could see this shade with my eyes open and adjusted the crease to achieve this. I then took the shade Loop (yellow green – matte) from the Glamlite palette and using the 50/50% technique, where you place your new shade’s brush 50% on the shade before and 50% on the bare skin above the pervious shade, and using small circle motions I buffed the harsh edge of the crease out whilst simultaneously creating a beautiful blend for the transition. I then went into the shade Can’t Kelp It –(dusty brown green – matte) from the E.L.F. palette as my outer v of the crease shade and the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid. I then went into the Glamlite palette and using the shade Stunnin’ (bright yellow gold – metallic) over the inner 2/3 of the mobile lids. I then went into the shade Bonehead (true green with slight gold shift – metallic) from the same palette and placed that shade over the middle 1/3 for added dimension. For the lower lash line I used more of the shade Loop (yellow green – matte) to create a deep drop shadow and then using more of the shade Can’t Kelp It –(dusty brown green – matte) to deepen the lash line and than more of the shade Spruced Up (deep olive green – matte) to buff the previous shade out. I lined my lower water lines using the ColourPop Crème Gel Liner (part of the Colour Me Pretty Gel Liner Vault $77 for fifteen 0.11 oz / 3 g gel pots) in the shade Teaspoon (intense emerald green). I highlighted the inner corners of my eyes I used the shade Sun Yourself (yellow – metallic) from the E.L.F palette.

Complexion:

I primed my face using the Urban Decay All Nighter Ultra Glow Makeup Primer ($36 for 1 fl oz / 30 mL of product at Ulta). I contoured my nose, sides of the forehead, cheek bones and lips using NYX Wonder Stick ($12 for 0.28 oz / 7.94 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Medium. For foundation today I used Makeup Forever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation ($43 for 1.01 oz / 30 mL of product at Sephora) in the shade Y235 Ivory Beige (light skin with neutral undertones). I highlighted the high points of my face using the Tarte Shape Tape Glow Wand ($27 for 0.2 fl oz / 59.15 mL of product at Ulta) in the shade A Light (opal glow). I concealed the sides of my nose to clean up my contour using the BECCA Cosmetics Ultimate Coverage Longwear Concealer (No Longer Available – has 0.21 oz/ 6 g of product) in the shade Linen. and then patted what ever was left on my sponge under my eyes to conceal them. I bronzed the perimeter of my face using the bareMinerals Bare Pro Glow ($29 for 0.47 fl oz / 14 mL of product on their website) in the shade Warmth.

Cheeks, Lips, Lashes and Touch Ups:

As my cream blush I used Wet n Wild MegaGlo Makeup Stick Blush ($4.49 for 0.21 oz / 5.95 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Peach Bums (coral). I set my under eyes using E.L.F. HD Under Eye Setting Powder (no longer available) and the rest of my face using Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder ($34 for 0.253 oz / 7.17 g of product on their website) in the shade Translucent. I touched up my bronzer using the Tarte Amazonian Clay Matte Waterproof Bronzer ($30 for 0.32 oz / 9.07 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Park Ave Princess, my blush using the Benefit Cosmetics Babe on Board 3 Pan Palette (was limited edition, has 0.14 oz / 4 g of the Hoola bronzer, 0.08 oz / 2.5 g of the blush and 0.05 oz / 1.5 g of the highlighter) in the shade Rockabye (warm rose) and my highlighter using the NARS Highlighting Powder ($38 for 0.49 oz / 13.89 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Fort de France (champagne). I lined my lips using the ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade BFF (warm nude) and topped my lips off using the ColourPop x Animal Crossing Lip Tint Mini ($12 for 2 mini lippies but sold out) in the shade Incom-pear-able (warm yellow peach). I coated my lashes in 1 coat of Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes Mascara ($29 for 0.27 oz / 7.65 g of product at Sephora) and popped on a pair of  KoKo Lashes ($7.99 on the Lady Moss website) in the style Queen B. I then feathered hair strokes through my brows using Juvia’s Place i Sculpt, I Shade Brow Pen ($14 for 0.017 fl oz / 0.5 mL of product at Ulta and the Juvia’s Place website) in the shade Ebony (the deepest shade). I set my face using Beauty Bakerie Spray Your Grace Setting Spray ($18 for 3.4 fl oz / 100 mL of product at Ulta) and for touch ups I am using Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder ($3.17 for 0.49 oz / 13.89 g of product at Walmart) in the shade Creamy Natural.

Final Thoughts:

I remember saying I hated the way green eyeshadow looks on me. But this look is so darn pretty that I’m keen to recreate it again sometime. I feel like it brings out the caramel under tones of my eyes

I have come to understand that shades that I use to not like are suddenly super awesome to work with… I’ll have to keep playing around with shades like green and orange and yellow more. I might be able to find some super cute looks that way.

Just like that, this walkthrough is done…

I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night 🌞🌜and that you are in good spirits and health 😄🩺.

👄Remember, Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick 👄.
