Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing better… still in some pain but am able to sit up for a longer time today so that’s progress.

I didn’t want to over do myself so I decided to go for an ethereal makeup look since those are typically super fast and easy for me.
For todays’ look I used the LA Girl 16 Color Mastery Eyeshadow Palette ($15.99 for 1.23 total ounces of product at Ulta making it $0.99 and 0.077 ounces per shade).
Today’s scent is…

Top Notes: Italian Line, Crisp Green Almond and Pear.
Heart Notes: Candied Almond and Peony.
Base Notes: Mahogany, Amber, Vanilla and Tonka Bean.

Let’s get into the walkthrough and eye pictorial for today’s Face of the Day….

Eyes and Brows:

I chose not to set my brows with gel today because I tried to use a new pomade and it kept peeling off the gel so I cleaned my brows off and just went straight in with pomade. I applied Benefit Cosmetics POWmade Waterproof Brow Pomade ($20 for 0.17 oz / 4.82 g of product at Ulta) in the shade #5 (warm black brown) to my brows and then cut the brow line and primed my lids with the P.Louise Base ($14 for 0.54 fl oz / 15 mL of product on their website) in Rumour 0 (white). I then put a piece of tape at the edges of my eyes to create a crisp look on the outside edges. For today’s look I used the LA Girl 16 Color Mastery Eyeshadow Palette ($15.99 for 1.23 total ounces of product at Ulta making it $0.99 and 0.077 ounces per shade). I started by using the shade Conquer (peachy pink – matte) on a large fluffy crease brush for my transition ↓

I then went in with a combo of the shades Lovely (dark rose – matte), Devotee (warm brown – matte) and Pretty (berry purple – matte) on a slightly smaller fully crease brush to add depth into the crease before I added the crease shade ↓

I then went into the shade Maven (dark mauve – matte) and the same brush I just used in the crease to add more depth into the crease as well as the outer 1/3 of the mobile lids ↓

I then went into the shade Dapper (aubergine – matte) and a medium sized fluffy pencil brush to deepen the outer v of the crease.

I then took some micellar water and a cotton bud and cleaned up the inner 2/3 of the mobile lids to prep them for the metallic shadows ↓

I then took what was left on the flat nail brush that I used to apply my shadow primer to lightly add primer to the inner 2/3 of the mobile lids ↓

I then used a small flat shadder brush and the shade Fan Girl rose gold – metallic) and applied it to the full inner 2/3 of the mobile lids ↓

Then using my finger I tapped the shade Aces (berry purple – metallic) over the middle 1/3 of the mobile lids to add a soft dimension to the lids ↓

I then created a medium sized wing on each eye using the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Flyliner Longwear Liquid Eyeliner ($22, on sale for $16.50 for 0.019 fl oz / 0.55 mL of product on their website) in the shade Cuz I’m Black (satin true black) using the tape on the outside edges of my eyes as a guide ↓

I then took the tape off and cleaned up the fall out along my under eyes and using a small c shadder brush with a hint of foundation I perfected the outer edges of the liner wings ↓

From there I just created a deep drop shadow using more of the shade Pretty (berry purple – matte) and then I deepened the lower lash lines using a combo of the shades Maven (dark mauve – matte) and Dapper (aubergine – matte). I then highlighted the inner corners of my eyes using the shade Viral (true coral – metallic) from the L.A.Girl Desert Dream Eyeshadow Palette – Mainstage ($15.99 for 35 g/ 1.23 oz of total product, making it $0.99 a shade at Ulta). I lined my lower water lines using the ColourPop Crème Gel Pencil ($7 for 0.04 oz / 1.25 g of product on their website) in the shade Lost Girl (cool bronze with silver pin points – metallic).
Complexion:

I primed my face using the BECCA Backlight Priming Filter (no longer in production). I contoured the sides of the forehead, my cheek bones, under my chin and my nose using the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Match Stix Matte Contour Skinstick ($26 for 0.25 oz / 7.10 g at Sephora) in the shade Amber (cool undertone contour). For foundation I tested out the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Liquid Foundation ($36 for 1.08 fl oz / 32 mL of product at Sephora) in the shade #120 (fair skin with neutral undertones). I bronzed the perimeter of the face using Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer ($32 for 0.22 oz / 6.23 g of product at Sephora) in the shade #05 Teddy (tan skin tones). I added a touch of the LA Girl HD Pro Corrector Concealer ($4.99 for 0.28 oz / 7.94 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Peach to the inner and outer corners of my under eyes. I concealed the sides of my nose to clean up my contour using the Uoma Stay Woke Luminous Brightening Concealer ($25 for 0.17 oz / 4.82 g of product at Ulta) in the shade White Pearl T2 (very fair skin) and then patted what ever was left on my sponge under my eyes to conceal them.
Cheeks, Lips, Lashes and Touch Ups:

My cream blush today is NYX Sweet Cheeks Soft Cheek Tint Blush ($9 for 0.40 fl oz / 12 mL of product at Ulta) in the shade Coralicious (coral). I then applied the Tarte Shape Tape Glow Wand ($27 for 0.2 oz / 5.67 g of product at Ulta) in the shade A Light (opal glow) to the high points of the face. I set my under eyes using a little RMCA No Color Powder ($14 for 3 oz / 85.05 g of product on the Beautylish website. I set my bronzer using the MAC Bronzing Powder ($30 for 0.3 oz / 10 g of product on their website) in the shade Matte Bronze (bare shoulders bronze), my blush using the Makeup Revolution Blusher Reloaded ($7 for 0.26 oz / 7.5 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Pink Lady (classic true pink) and the rest of my face using Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder ($32 for 0.98 oz / 28 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Butter (fair to medium skin tones). I then touched up the highlighter using the Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder ($5.99 for 0.19 oz / 5.9 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Blossom Glow (pearly pink). I also popped a hint of this highlighter to the tip and bridge of my nose and the cupid’s bow. I used 1 coat of the Flower Beauty Lash Warrior Mascara ($10.49 for 0.35 oz / 9.92 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Fiercest Black on both the upper and lower lashes and then popped on a pair of the Vintage Vanity Cosmetics Lashes ($9 per pair on their website) in the style Diahann. I then created hair like strokes at the front of my brows using the NYX Lift & Snatch Brow Tint Pen Waterproof Eyebrow Pen ($11 for 0.03 fl oz / 0.89 mL of product at Ulta) in the shade Espresso. I lined my lips using the ColourPop Lippie Pencil (discontinued) in the shade 951 (mid toned deep peachy brown) and topped it off with Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color ($25, on sale right now for $18.75 for 0.13 fl oz / 4 mL of product on their website) in the shade Unattached (bright coral). I topped that off with the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer ($19, on sale right now for $14.25 for 0.3 fl / 9 ml of product on their website) in the shade Fenty Glow (shimmering rose nude). I set my face using the Beauty Bakerie Spray Your Grace Setting Spray ($18 for 3.4 fl oz / 100.55 mL of product at Ulta). I did not need a touch up powder today.
Final Thoughts:

I was so excited that I finally got my liner wings even… first time in a long time. I really loved the way this look came out. It’s light and airy and ethereal and has glow in all the right places.

LA Girl 16 Color Mastery Eyeshadow Palette ($15.99 for 1.23 total ounces of product at Ulta making it $0.99 and 0.077 ounces per shade )is billed as 16 highly pigmented & blendable shades. From vibrant shimmers to bold mattes. Including nude & vibrant shades, create endless & versatile artistry & everyday looks. Mirror included.
I give this palette a solid A+++!!! This color story is so romantic, so ethereal and so sweet. There is a heap of fall out to deal with, this is why I didn’t grade it higher… it had MAJOR fall out on my face, the kick back in the pans was equally intense. I had shadow all over my vanity today. The mattes blended out beautifully, the metallics melted into the lids seamlessly and the shadows married together perfectly. The only problems I encountered were the fall out, the kick back and the fact that there wasn’t enough gradient between the light and dark shades. This palette would have served me better if it had one or two mid toned shades to take me from transition to outer v of the crease. Even with that said, I was still able to create subtle depth to the look which came out looking sweet and airy… I love those types of looks… but again, this palette is not a good travel companion for there is not enough gradient in shades to take a look from day to night.

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Flyliner Longwear Liquid Eyeliner ($22, on sale for $16.50 for 0.019 fl oz / 0.55 mL of product on their website) in the shade Cuz I’m Black (satin true black) is billed as a hyper-saturated, fade proof, water-resistant liquid eyeliner with an innovative flex tip and easy-grip triangle shape for effortless no-limit lining that lasts.
I give this liquid liner a solid A+++!!! This liner was super easy to use, super pigmented, and dried down quickly. I really love it, however the claims that is it water-resistant are bogus. The area at the first of my lash line kept bleeding into my tear duct darn near the whole day, I had to tap a but of Inglot Duraline in the inner corners of the wings to keep the wing from bleeding. For that I can not give it a higher grade, though I would love to because this liner is increadable.

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color ($25, on sale right now for $18.75 for 0.13 fl oz / 4 mL of product on their website) in the shade Unattached (bright coral) is billed as one stroke intensity with a long wear matte finish and an unrivaled precision wand.
I give this lipstick a tentative A+++!!! I so love this lip formula… It’s comfortable, easy to apply and (as long as you don’t eat anything greasy) long lasting. However, with that said, this color went on a bit patchy. Now, coral in a liquid matte formula is a bitch to create… it’s the purple of the lipstick world… but I don’t know if it’s my lips needed to be exfoliated or if this shade is just streaky… but I had to apply several layers of this one, when I didn’t have to do that with the nude and the pink ones… now I don’t want to give it a finale grade just yet, I want to exfoliate my lips and test it again, because this formula is so amazing that I want to give it it’s best chance to shine… stay tuned for my final grading of it later this week.

Benefit Cosmetics POWmade Waterproof Brow Pomade ($20 for 0.17 oz / 4.82 g of product at Ulta) in the shade #5 (warm black brown) is billed as a full-pigment brow pomade. This pomade comes in 8 shades. It has claims that it is waterproof and smudge proof.
I give this pomade a solid A+++ I wanted to be head over heels for this pomade, I love Benefit so much, but alas… I am not. This is a great pomade, unless you have brow gel, hair gel, hair spray, or any other item you use to hold your hairs in place… this product made the hair gel pill up and slide off my brows… now, after I cleaned up my brows and attempted my brows again this pomade worked beautifully. I wanted to grade this one higher so bad… The pigment is there, the shade is perfect, it truly is smudge proof (I tried to rub the tails off whilst doing my eyes and it would not budge) and truly is waterproof (I tried using a little rose water to remove the tails whilst doing my eyes and still the brows wouldn’t budge) the only way I was able to remove the tails was by using makeup remover with a hint of face oil. However, this product does not work well over top of a set brow… and for this I gave it a grade 10 points under my top grading… I still say it’s amazing and worth the purchase… just don’t go into it thinking you can spike your brows before hand.

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Liquid Foundation ($36 for 1.08 fl oz / 32 mL of product at Sephora) in the shade #120 (fair skin with neutral undertones) is billed as a soft matte, long-wear foundation with buildable, medium-to-full coverage. This foundation comes in 50 shades.
I give this foundation a solid O+++!!! This has got to be the most STUNNING matte foundation I have ever tested!!! It dries down completely, is full coverage but still allowed my glowy primer to shine through and my contour to still be present, it did not emphasize any texture on my face at all and once buffed in melted into the skin so seamlessly that is just made my face look perfected, no makeuped. If there was a higher grade I would totally be giving this little gem that grade point.

Tarte Shape Tape Glow Wand ($27 for 0.2 oz / 5.67 g of product at Ulta) in the shade A Light (opal glow) is billed as a candle-lit glow with Tarte’s award-winning Shape Tape Glow Wand. It claims to have Porcelain flower: Helps soothe & illuminate Mango butter: Moisturizes, conditions & protects against free radical damage Shea butter: Moisturizes & nourishes Licorice root: Helps brighten the appearance of dark circles & color corrects Mineral pigments: Soothe & soften skin Diamond powder: Helps blur imperfections. This highlighter comes in 8 shades.
I give this glow wand a solid O+++!!! The glow you get from this product is lit from within, ethereal, fresh faced. You only need a few dots to get the glow going and it dries all the way down, so you could use it on a no makeup day and still have a pretty lit look.

Vintage Vanity Cosmetics Starlet Eye Lashes ($9 per style on their website) is billed as take your look up a notch. From Natural to Dramatic we have something to fit your needs. With Lashes inspired by Vintage Beauties; you will feel classic and gorgeous. This style is called Diahann (natural flirty) and has a medium thickness band with very soft hairs.
I give these lashes a solid O+++!!! These lashes are so fluffy and yet sparse enough to let the master piece that is your eye look shine through. They are comfortable and I only needed to snip a small little piece off to get a perfect fit. I can see I will be buying these over and over.
And with that today’s walkthrough is over….
I hope you have a great rest of your day/night 🌞🌜 and that you’re in great spirits and health 😄🩺.
👄Remember, Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick👄.
