Soft Fall Look Face of the Day

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m starting to feel so much better.

I wanted to do a soft look with a bold lip today. It’s getting hard to come up with fall looks with the palettes that the Tiny Decisions App chose for me this week. But I really did like how my makeup came out today.

For today’s look I used all 4 palettes: I used 1 shade from the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Snap Shadow Mix & Match Palette ($25 for 0.21 oz / 6 g of total product on their website making it 0.035 oz / 1 g and $4.17 per shade) in the limited edition color story #10 Money, 3 shades from the BH Cosmetics Trendy in Tokyo 16 Pan Palette ($17 for 0.56 oz / 16 g of total product on their website making it 0.0175 oz / 1 g and $1.06 per shade), 2 shades from the L.A.Girl Desert Dream Eyeshadow Palette – Mainstage ($15.99 for 35 g/ 1.23 oz of total product, making it $0.99 a shade at Ulta) and 4 shades from the LA Girl 16 Color Mastery Eyeshadow Palette ($15.99 for 1.23 total ounces of product at Ulta making it $0.99 and 0.077 ounces per shade ).

Today’s scent is…

Elizabeth Arden Red Door Revealed ($35.61 for 3.4 fl oz / 100.55 mL at Walmart) was released and is a powdery crisp floral with scent notes of:

Top Notes: Green Coral Orchid, Pink Peony and Pear.

Heart Notes: Bulgarian Rose, Lily, Mackay Orchid, Plum, Tiare Flower, Yellow Champaca and Orange Blossom.

Base Notes: Musk, Guaiac Wood, Black Amber and Oakmoss.

Let’s get into the walkthrough and eye pictorial for today’s Face of the Day….

Eyes and Brows:

I combed the slightest amount of Got 2 B Glued Spiking Glue ($6.49 for 6 oz / 170 g of product at Ulta) through my brows, I did not laminate them up I simply brushed the gel through to keep the hairs all going in the same direction. I filled in my brows using the Makeup Revolution Brow Pomade ($9 for 0.08 oz / 2.28 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Dark Brown. I craved out my brows and primed my lids using the Juvia’s Place I Prep I Prime Eye Primer ($12 for 0.41 fl oz / 12 mL of product at Ulta) in the shade #1 (Milky White Sands). I then put a piece of tape at the edges of my eyes to create a crisp look on the outside edges. For today’s look I used 1 shade from the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Snap Shadow Mix & Match Palette ($25 for 0.21 oz / 6 g of total product on their website making it 0.035 oz / 1 g and $4.17 per shade) in the limited edition color story #10 Money, 3 shades from the BH Cosmetics Trendy in Tokyo 16 Pan Palette ($17 for 0.56 oz / 16 g of total product on their website making it 0.0175 oz / 1 g and $1.06 per shade), 2 shades from the L.A.Girl Desert Dream Eyeshadow Palette – Mainstage ($15.99 for 35 g/ 1.23 oz of total product, making it $0.99 a shade at Ulta) and 4 shades from the LA Girl 16 Color Mastery Eyeshadow Palette ($15.99 for 1.23 total ounces of product at Ulta making it $0.99 and 0.077 ounces per shade ). I started with a medium sized fully crease brush and the shade Devotee (warm brown – matte) from the LA Girl Mastery palette and fluffed that shade through the crease and up to the edge of the brow line

I then took a fluffy stout crease brush and the shade RubbaBandz (warm toned slight red based brown – matte) from the Fenty palette to deepen the crease up to the middle of the transition shade

Then using a tapered crease brush and the shade Dapper (aubergine – matte) from the LA Girl Mastery palette I deepened the outer 1/3 of the mobile lids and the outer v of the crease fluffing the shade up to the tails of my brows to give a more elongated shadow to the eyes

I then combined the shade Black Out (dusty black – matte) from the LA Girl Mainstage palette with the shade Dapper (aubergine – matte) from the LA Girl Mastery palette and a fluffy crease brush to deepened just the outer v of the crease keeping the shade tight to the crease and only fluffing the shadow up past the crease line about 1/2 way

I then took a bit more of the shade RubbaBandz (warm toned slight red based brown – matte) from the Fenty palette on my finger and buffed the inner part of the outer v of the crease to remove any harsh lines

I then took a small detailer brush and some micellar water and cleaned up the inner 2/3 of the mobile lids and then using the same brush I applied my eye primer to the cleaned area

On a short shadder brush I took the shade Viral (true coral – metallic) from the LA Girl Mainstage palette and patted that over the inner 2/3 of the mobile lids

on a medium thick shadder brush I combined the shades Sushi (hot orange – matte), Fashion (striking red – matte) and Trendsetter (coral – matte) from the BH Cosmetics palette with the shades Skills (light nude – matte), Conquer (peachy pink – matte) and a hint of Devotee (warm brown – matte) from the LA Girl Mastery palette and patted that over the middle 1/3 of the mobile lids

I then took a small flat shadder brush and the shade Black Out (dusty black – matte) from the LA Girl Mainstage palette and deepened the outer v of the crease some more keeping it tight to the crease line and no further up

I then removed the tape at the edge of my eyes and cleaned up all the fall out

I then took the ColourPop BFF Liquid Liner ($8 for 0.019 fl oz / 0.56 mL of product at Ulta) in the shade Grande (brown) and created wings that reached to the tails of the brows and then taking a tiny detail brush and some foundation I perfected the outer edges of the winged liner

For the lower lash lines I used more of the shade RubbaBandz (warm toned slight red based brown – matte) from the Fenty palette to create a subtle drop shadow and I liner the lower water lines using the ColourPop BFF Crème Gel Liner (this shade discontinued was limited edition) in the shade Woodsy (muted mid toned brown) and then highlighted the inner corners of my using the Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder ($5.99 for 0.19 oz / 5.9 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Blossom Glow (pearly pink)

Complexion:

I primed my face using E.L.F. Jelly Pop Dew Primer ($10 for 1.01 fl oz / 29.87 mL of product at Ulta). I contoured the sides of my forehead, cheek bones, bridge of my nose and jaw line using Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Match Stix Matte Contour Skinstick ($26 for 0.25 oz / 7.10 g at Sephora) in the shade Amber (cool undertone contour). For foundation today I chose L’Oréal Infallible Fresh Wear 24HR Foundation ($14.99 for 1 fl oz / 30 mL of product at Ulta) in the shade #420 True Beige. I bronzed the perimeter of my face and the bridge of my nose using the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer ($32 for 0.22 oz / 6.23 g of product at Sephora) in the shade #05 Teddy (tan skin tones). I highlighted the high points of my face using the E.L.F. Liquid Highlighter ($4 on their website). I concealed the sides of my nose to clean up my contour using the Juvia’s Place I Am Magic Concealer ($14 for 0.34 oz / 9.64 g of product at Ulta) in the shade #23 (fair skin neutral undertones) and then patted what ever was left on my sponge under my eyes to conceal them.

Cheeks, Lips, Lashes and Touch Ups:

For cream blush I used the NYX Sweet Cheeks Soft Cheek Tint Blush ($9 for 0.40 fl oz / 12 mL of product at Ulta) in the shade Coralicious (coral). I set my under eyes using a little RMCA No Color Powder ($14 for 3 oz / 85.05 g of product on the Beautylish website. I set my bronzer using the MAC Bronzing Powder ($30 for 0.3 oz / 10 g of product on their website) in the shade Matte Bronze (bare shoulders bronze), my blush using Makeup Revolution Blusher Reloaded ($7 for 0.26 oz / 7.5 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Pink Lady (classic true pink) and then the rest of my face using Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder ($32 for 0.98 oz / 28 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Butter (fair to medium skin tones). I touched up my highlighter using Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder ($5.99 for 0.19 oz / 5.9 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Blossom Glow (pearly pink). I lined my lips using the ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 for 0.035 oz / 1 g of product on their website) in the shade Bossy (classic red) and then topped my lips off using the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color ($25 for 0.13 oz/ 4 mL of product at Sephora) in the shade Uncensored (perfect universal red). I used 1 coat of the Flower Beauty Lash Warrior Mascara ($10.49 for 0.35 oz / 9.92 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Fiercest Black and popped on a pair of the Vintage Vanity Cosmetics Lashes ($9 per pair on their website) in the style Diahann.  I set my face using the Beauty Bakerie Spray Your Grace Setting Spray ($18 for 3.4 fl oz / 100.55 mL of product at Ulta). I did not need a touch up powder today.

Final Thoughts:

It’s been a long time since I did this dramatic of an eye liner… but I think it pairs beautifully with this red lippie… the eyes have a subtle contour to them that I am just simply in love with.

ColourPop BFF Liquid Liner ($8 for 0.019 fl oz / 0.56 mL of product at Ulta) in the shade Grande (brown) is billed as an ultra-fine felt tip liquid eyeliner that delivers intense pigmentation in one easy swipe.

I grade this liner a solid O+++!!! The shade for this brown liner is perfect… not too dark, not to light. It went on smooth with no skipping and no bleeding. Lasted all day and did not fade at all.

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color ($25 for 0.13 oz/ 4 mL of product at Sephora) in the shade Uncensored (perfect universal red).

I give this lipstick a solid O+++!!! This shade is perfectly yummy. There was no bleeding (I typically have bleeding whenever I use a red lipstick), it remained comfortable for hours with no pilling up, no cracking and very little fading.

And with that today’s walkthrough and pictorial is over….

I hope you have a great rest of your day/night 🌞🌜 and that you’re in great spirits and health 😄🩺.

👄Remember, Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.👄
