Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing pretty good today. Minimal pain and more energy than I’ve had all week.

I was craving a vampy lip today and although I think the lip and eye don’t pair well but separately they are both beautiful. For today’s look I used all 4 shades from the Juvia’s Place The Rebel Army 4 Pan Palette ($10 for 0.28 oz / 8 g of total product making it 0.07 oz / 2 g and $2.5 per shade on their website), 2 shades from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Jackie Aina Palette ($45, on sale for $31.50 for 0.28 oz / 9.8 g of total product making it 0.02 oz / 0.7 g of product and $3.21 at retail price / $2.25 at sale price per shade on their website) and 2 shades from the Natasha Denona Mini Star Eyeshadow Palette ($25 for 0.14 oz / 4 g of total product at Sephora making it 0.028 oz / 0.8 g and $5 per shade).

Today’s scent is…

Top Notes: Watermelon, Passionfruit, Hyacinth, Green Apple, Marigold, Green Leaves and Mandarin Orange.
Heart Notes: Tuberose, Lily and Rose Hip.
Base Notes: Crème Brulee, Caramel, Vanilla, Patchouli and Precious Woods.

Let’s get into the walkthrough and eye pictorial for today’s Face of the Day….

Eyes and Brows:

I set my brows with a tiny amount of Got 2B Glued Spiking Glue ($6.49 for 6 oz / 170 g of product at Ulta) on a disposable spoolie and filled in my brows using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade ($21 for 0.14 oz / 3.97 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Ebony (black hair/warm under tones). I carved out my brows and primed my lids using the P. Louise Primer & Base ($14 for 0.507 fl oz / 15 mL of product on their website) in the shade Rumour 0.5 (pale nude). I applied a piece of tape to the edges of my eyes to help get a crisp edge. I started with a fluffy crease brush and the shade Atik (sandy beige – matte) from the Natasha Denona palette as my transition shade, taking almost all the way up the brow line ↓

Over the outer 2/3 of the mobile lids and the full crease I used a medium sized fluffy crease brush and the shade Ginger (Matte caramel brown) from the ABH palette ↓

Over the outer 1/3 of the mobile lids and the out v of the crease I used a stout crease brush and the deep forest green shade from the Juvia’s Arm palette blowing the shade up and to the tails of the brows ↓

On a small fluffy pencil brush I used the blackened green shade from the Juvia’s Army palette I deepened the outer v of the crease buffing the shade just a tad past the crease but keeping it low to the crease ↓

I then took the first brush I used (the fluffy crease brush I used for the transition shade) and buffed the edges of the shadows to soften the blends ↓

Using my finger I went into the metallic jade green with a gold flip shade from the Juvia’s Army palette and applied it to the full mobile lid, leaving just the very outer part of the mobile lids free ↓

Using my finger and the shade Orion (deep blue/brown – duo chrome) from the Natasha Denona palette I buffed the shade over the ball of the eye (the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid) going 1/2 way into the inner 1/3 of the mobile lids ↓

I went back in with my finger and the metallic jade green with a gold flip shade from the Juvia’s Army palette and intensifying the inner 1/3 of the mobile lid and buffing it over a bit of the middle 1/3’s shade ↓

With my finger and the metallic deep forest green with a silver flip from the Juvia’s Army palette I buffed it over the outer 1/3 of the mobile lids ↓

I went back into the shade Orion (deep blue/brown – duo chrome) from the Natasha Denona palette to marry the middle and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid together and to intensify the shade over the ball of the eyes ↓

Again, I went into the metallic jade green with a gold flip shade from the Juvia’s Army palette to make sure that the inner and middle 1/3 of the mobile lids were married together seamlessly ↓

I removed the tape and cleaned up the fall out of my under eyes and cleaned the edges of the shadow up so that it was seamless ↓

I then applied some primer to my under eye area to get ready for the complexion products ↓

For the lower lash lines I started with a mid sized fluffy crease brush and the shade Atik (sandy beige – matte) to create a deep drop shadow ↓

To intensify the drop shadow I took a tabarded crease brush and the shade Ginger (Matte caramel brown) from the ABH palette ↓

I then took a stout pencil brush and the deep forest green shade from the Juvia’s Army palette and deepened the lash lines ↓

Taking a small shadder brush and the blackened green shade from the Juvia’s Army palette I deepened the outer 1/3 of the lower lash line connecting it to the outer v of the crease ↓

I lined the lower water lines using the ColourPop BFF Crème Gel Liner (this shade is no longer available) in the shade Aglow (warm toned lime green – metallic) and then I highlighted the inner corners of my eyes using the shade Trust Issues (Sparkling white gold) from the ABH palette ↓

I then took the Milani Weekend Brow Pen ($8.99 for 0.03 fl oz / 0.89 mL of product at Ulta) in the shade Espresso (the deepest shade) and feathered in some hair like strokes to the front of my brows and used a fluffy shadder brush to help blend them into my brows better ↓

I also took the KVD Beauty Tattoo Liner ($22 for 0.019 fl oz / 0.56 mL of product at Ulta) in the shade Trooper (satin black) and lined very close to the lashes to help camouflage the faux lashes.
Complexion:

I primed the face using the Makeup Forever Step 1 Primer Pore Minimizer ($37 for 1 fl oz / 30 mL of product at Sephora). I contoured my jaw line, cheek bones, bridge of the nose and sides of my forehead using NYX Wonder Stick ($12 for 0.28 oz / 7.94 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Deep. For foundation I used the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Pro Filt’r Hydrating Longwear Foundation ($36 for 1.08 fl oz / 32 mL of product at Sephora) in the shade #120 (light with neutral undertones). I bronzed the perimeter of my face using the E.L.F. Putty Bronzer ($6 for 0.35 oz / 9.92 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Sun Kissed (the 3rd shade). I color corrected my under eyes using the Tarte Colored Clay CC Undereye Corrector ($25 for 0.08 oz / 2.26 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Light Medium and then concealed the sides of my nose to clean up my contour using the Wet n Wild MegaLast Incognito All-Day Full Coverage Concealer ($4.99 for 0.18 fl oz / 5.32 mL of product at Ulta) in the shade Fair Beige (the lightest shade) and then patted what ever was left on my sponge under my eyes to conceal them. I highlighted the high points of my face using the Merit Day Glow Highlighting Balm ($30 for 0.14 oz / 4 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Bounce (rose gold). I sprayed the Huda Beauty Glow Coco Hydrating Mist ($35 for 3.38 fl oz / 100 mL of product at Sephora) all over the face to help melt all the products together.
Cheeks, Lips, Lashes and Touch Ups:

For cream blush I used the NARS Liquid Blush ($30 for 0.5 fl oz / 15 mL of product at Sephora) in the shade Torrid (warm coral with golden shimmer). I set my bronzer using the bronzer from the Beauty Bakerie Neapolitan Bar ($18 for 0.39 oz / 11.07 g of total product at Ulta making it $6 and 0.13 oz / 3.69 per shade), my blush using the Makeup Revolution Blusher Reloaded ($7 for 0.26 oz / 7.37 g of product on their website) in the shade Peaches & Cream (pale peach), my highlighter using the Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder ($5.99 for 0.19 oz / 5.39 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Precious Petals (peachy champagne), my under eyes using the BECCA Under Eye Brightening Setting Powder (no longer available 0.09 oz / 2.55 g of product) and the rest of my face using the L’Oréal Infallible Tinted Loose Setting Powder ($6.49 for 0.28 oz / 7.94 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Translucent Light. I lined my lips using the ColourPop Lippie Pencil (shade discontinued) in the shade Ellaire (cranberry red) and topped the lips off using the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color ($25 for 0.13 fl oz / 4 mL of product at Sephora) in the shade Underdawg (deep burgundy). I did 1 coat of ColourPop BFF Mascara ($9 for 0.24 oz / 7 g of product on their website) in the shade Black on Black and popped on a pair of Mikayla x Glamlite 3D Faux Lashes ($12 per pair on their website) in the style Brand New. I set my face using the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Setting Spray ($5.99 for 1.52 fl oz / 45 mL of product at Ulta).
Final Thoughts:

This eye look is so pretty. Very fallesque. I love the lipstick too but I’m not sure how I feel about the lip and eye together… I think perhaps Velvet Teddy from MAC would have been a better lip to pair with this eye… but I wanted a super vampy lip and so this is the combo I chose.

Wet n Wild Photo Focus Setting Spray ($5.99 for 152 fl oz / 45 mL of product at Ulta) is billed as is billed as an exclusive formula that extends makeup wear by preventing cracking, smudging, fading, or creasing. Works with any makeup and all skin types, plus it has aloe to hydrate your skin. One step, perfect!
I give this setting spray a solid A+++!!! This setting spray lasted all day, I didn’t have any separation of the foundation around my nose, I didn’t even need to powder touch up at all today. The only reason I didn’t grade this higher is because of the scent. It was strong enough that I had a small headache for a little bit today.

Huda Beauty Glow Coco Hydrating Mist ($35 for 3.38 fl oz / 100 mL of product at Sephora) is billed as a three-in-one hydrating mist, infused with coconut water, coconut milk, and a hint of coconut oil to prime, set, and refresh skin.
I give this spray a solid A++ It says to use it before makeup to prime skin with hydration, after makeup to set your look, or throughout the day to keep skin refreshed. However, I used it after my cream complexion products were on my face and it made everything separate, I ended up having to apply a thin layer of all the cream products again just to correct this. It’s very hydrating and smells amazing… I think this is best suited for no makeup days or very light makeup days BEFORE applying any products.

Merit Day Glow Highlighting Balm ($30 for 0.14 oz / 4 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Bounce (rose gold) is billed as a translucent, moisturizing highlighter—made for daytime wear—that illuminates your skin, imparting a dewy, balmy sheen with zero sparkle.
I give this highlighting balm a solid F- This thing reeks! It smells like rot and it just slips and slides all over the face… it’s horrible… I’m not even waiting till the end of the week to declutter this one – it SUCKS in every way shape and form.

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color ($25 for 0.13 fl oz / 4 mL of product at Sephora) in the shade Underdawg (deep burgundy) comes in 9 shades and is billed as a weightless, longwear liquid lipstick with a soft matte finish with one stroke intensity and an unrivaled precision wand.
I give this lipstick a solid O+++!!! Everything about this lippie is STUNNING! The color, the pigmentation, the finish, how well it lasted, the fact that it didn’t bleed or feather outside the lip line, it wasn’t drying… it’s the perfect vampy lippie.
And with that today’s walkthrough and pictorial is over….
I hope you have a great rest of your day/night 🌞🌜 and that you’re in great spirits and health 😄🩺.
👄Remember, Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.👄
