Collective Haul March 2022

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing ok… low pain and pertty good energy, but I am having a really hard time with my dysphasia (when the brain disconnects a bit and you end up having a hard time recalling words from your memory bank… I end up saying um or ah or thingamajig a bunch because I cant find the word I’m trying to say.

I do have a collective haul to share with you today….

And let’s take a look…. *remember as always, all hyperlinks provided are simply for fast location of the products used and not affiliate links… I just did the research so you didn’t have to. The hyperlinks are no longer in color since WordPress took that feature away, they will be in bold print*

Wander Beauty Nude Illusion Liquid Foundation ($40 for 1.01 fl oz / 30 ml of product on the Dermstore website, also found at Sephora in limited shades) is offered in 12 shades (I chose the shade fair light) and is billed as a flawless, medium to full coverage foundation with natural finish that lasts all day and a lightweight foundation that offers buildable coverage to help conceal blemishes, redness and discoloration while a sodium hyaluronate infused formula hydrates your skin and encourages a more youthful-looking appearance.

I have used this foundation a few times now and can honestly give a review on it…

This one has a large doe foot applicator that disperses the perfect amount of product.

I give this foundation a solid O+++!!! and I wish I could give it a higher grade! This foundation is STUNNING! It just melds seamlessly with the skin. It gives a natural healthy glow with perfect coverage, doesn’t oxidize and doesn’t emphasize skin texture. This foundation looked as so stunning that I didn’t want to set it at all…. I just wanted to let the beauty of this one be front and center. The only thing I didn’t like about this one is the large doe foot applicator and the size of the opening of the tube, neither of which is a deal breaker for me. I really don’t like sponge tip or doe foot applicators in liquid products because they touch your face and then go back into the product which contaminates the product…. I also and I do mean ALWAYS just spread the product from the applicator to a makeup mixing palette, this way if I don’t like the product I can safely pass it off to a friend or family member. The opening of the tube is big enough that if you tilt it upside down the product leaks out, again neither of which are a deal breaker for me since this is such an amazing product.

Wet n Wild Bare Focus Tinted Hydrator Tinted Skin Veil ($6.49 for 0.91 fl oz / 27 ml of product at Ulta) is offered in 7 shades (I chose the shade fair) and is billed as an oil-free tinted hydrator with hyaluronic acid and vegan squalane with buildable, sheer-to-medium coverage with a semi-matte finish for a naturally flawless and nourished glow.

This is a repurchase for me… I absolutely love this BB cream. It has just enough coverage to give you that perfected but not made up finish to your skin. I’ve already reviewed this one but it’s still a solid O+++!!! for me.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Eyeshadow Pot ($7.99 for 0.14 oz / 4 g of product at Ulta) is offered in 7 shades (I chose the shade Chill Girl icy white with a silver flip – metallic) and is billed as a 24hr longwear cream that is waterproof and claims to be crease and fade resistant.

I have 3 other shades. This is a very longwearing, smudge proof product.

Cover FX Perfect Setting Powder ($35 for 0.35 oz / 9.92 g of product at Ulta, no longer available at Ulta but can be found on the Dermstore or Cover FX website) is offered in 2 shades (I chose the shade light) and is billed as loose powder keeps your makeup smooth while imparting a natural, soft-focus finish. Green tea leaves and vitamins C, E and F help soothe and protect the skin against free radicals.

Huda Beauty Rose Quartz Eyeshadow Palette ($67 for 0.61 oz / 17.35 g of total product making it 0.03 oz, 0.69 g and $3.72 per shade at Sephora) is billed as 18 rosy tints and earthy shades across five different textures.

The shades from left to right and up and down are:

Quartz (shimmery copper cream marble), Aura (earth-brown matte), Gratitude (latte-brown matte), Cosmic Love (shimmery plum, pink, and blue cream marble), Empowered (dark gunmetal powder metallic), Joy (rose-glow powder metallic), Precious (deep cool-brown matte), Energized (cream gold metallic), Love Stone (white holographic and pink-hybrid gloss), Cherished (cold-pink matte), Blissful (silver-green creamy metallic), Happiness (bright-pink matte), Mantra (carbon-gray matte), Serenity (soft-pink matte), Abundance (dusty-purple powder metallic), Moon Magic (blue and pink holographic cream), Radiate (taupe-brown matte) and Juicy (white and pink shimmery cream marble).

Huda Beauty Matte & Metal Melted Double Ended Liquid Eyeshadows ($25 for 0.068 fl oz / 2 ml per side at Sephora) is offered in 15 shades and I purchased 11 plus the matte black and white one and is billed as a dual-ended liquid shadow combining a velvety matte formula on one side and a highly reflective metallic on the other that is designed to be layered or used on their own, the dual-ended Matte & Metal shadows deliver rich pigmentation, intense shimmer, blendability and longevity – the shadows stay in place for up to 12 hours!

The shades I purchased are:

Huda Beauty Matte Basics Melted Shadows ($25 for 0.068 fl oz / 2 ml per side on their website) is billed as  two must-have velvety matte formulas – rich black and bright white – that provide the ultimate canvas to create ANY eye look, apply under your fave eyeshadows for max intensity and a killer look that lasts all day the black formula gives your metallic shadows a sparkly boost for next-level dimension, while the white formula creates the ultimate base (on all skin tones!) to help your look POP! The white side really boosts the matte shade applied over top of it and the metallic to really soften and the black side really made the same shade deep and grungy and the metallic really pop. In the above pictures I used the ColourPop 4 pan palette called Cream Soda, the 2 shades I used are called Float (warm champagne – metallic) and Milkshake (true peach – matte). I used these 2 shades for both the black and white shadow to show the differences the shades can make. The black shadow deepens matte shades and in the case of a more pastel type shade makes the shade more dusty, it also punches up metallic shades. The white shadow brightens matte shades and softens metallic shades.

Huda Beauty Matte & Metal Melted Double Ended Liquid Eyeshadow ($25 for 0.068 fl oz / 2 ml per side at Sephora) in the shade French Lacy (lilac – matte) and Diamond Drip (icy lilac – metallic).

It covers blemishes, blurs imperfections & boosts radiance.

I’ve been using this concealer in my correct shade for a year now, I absolutely love it and feel that this was their best concealer to date… I decided to pick up a contour shade since I’m out of my Charlotte Tilbury contour wand.
