Juvia’s Place Haul June 2022

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I have another haul for you today. I have 1 more order in the mail and then I will be going on a low buy until next year. My birthday is coming up and I will be getting a few new tattoos, we have a few high ticket date nights planned and the holidays are right around the corner so I need to take a step back from purchases. Plus I want to have some time to play with all the goodies I’ve purchased recently.

Onto the haul….

*remember as always, all hyperlinks provided are simply for fast location of the products used and not affiliate links… I just did the research so you didn’t have to. The hyperlinks will be in bold print and any swatch photos are done on clean bear skin, with no primer and in 1 pass to show the true pigmentation of the product*

Juvia’s Place Wahala Palette ($37 for 1.25 oz / 35.4 g of total product… making it 0.063 oz / 1.77 g and $1.85 per shade) is billed as an expansive array of 20 bold and intense shades. Wa- ha- la is a Nigerian Pidgin word meaning drama, trouble and intensity. We were heavily inspired by the craftsmanship of African Masks, which embody traditional culture and are used in ceremonial activities. A mask must come to life by the wearer of the masks to symbolize a mood. We played around with very symbolic colors which represent unity, love, excitement, fruitfulness, boldness, authority, and lastly growth and healing. All of which can be dramatic depending on the wearer of the mask.

First Impressions: I have been trying to get my hands on this stunning palette for the better part of a year and ½!!! I am so happy to have it as part of my Juvia’s Place collection! This palette swatched beautifully. These pictures do not do the duochrome shades justice and the mattes as super buttery. The glitters in this palette are insane.

The shades from left to right are: BE YOU (dark berry burgundy – matte), STANDUP ( champagne – metallic), FIGHTER (vibrant light medium green- metallic), FIRE (fiery intense red – matte) and POWER (mermaid blue-green duochrome).

The shades from left to right are: UNAFRAID (medium toned purple with a frosty finish – metallic), PRIDE (mauve-y nude – matte), GOSSIP (intense buttery gold with a green undertone – metallic), RUMORS (coppery rose – metallic) and YANGA (deep aqua green – glitter).

The shades from left to right are: ENVY (pink-violet duochrome with light blue pearl – metallic), SIS (cool toned dark brown – matte), OVER SABI (dark yellow mustard brown – matte), UNSILENCED coral red – matte) and LOVE (Crayola blue – matte).

The shades from left to right are: WOKE (lavender violet – matte), UNSHOOK ( a taupey pewter – metallic), PEPPER BODI (champagne gold – glitter), BUSY BODY (bright magenta pink – matte) and CLOUT (shades of blue – glitter).

This style is Egypt Flair (a super wispy, fluffy, lightweight and three dimensional lash).

First Impressions: This lash reminds me a lot of the Bae lashes from ColourPop but flashier and more dramatic. These are the first ones I’m going to use.

First Impressions: Not sure how these are gonna look on me… I’m afraid that these might be too blunt for my eye shape. They are spikey and not very full but I’m keen to try them.

We’ve come to the end of this haul… I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.

Remember spoonies dolls… save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
