My Newest Art Pieces

Hey doll hey!!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope… I had to step away from blogging and makeup for a bit… I was having a hard time mentally and I turned to art to help pull me out… and then I ended with a mega flair and had to take time away from makeup for that as well… but the one constant for me was art…. it allowed me to get my creativity going and kept me from falling into another depression, which is typically the case when I had large flairs.

Let’s take a look at what I created…

This painting I was trying to do a chaos style dutch pour… I did like it but I felt it didn’t have the right movement, I was going for a sort of bloom of jellyfish and though it’s a stunning painting it wasn’t what I had in my head… and so I used my palette knife and created tendrils and ended up liking it much more.

I then saw a few Youtube videos by Rinske Douna from her Dutch Bloom series and that inspired a whole group of blooms… the turquoise one with the 3 flowers was a commissioned piece that a friend from high school commissioned.

I wanted to create a few more rainbows but in all metallic paints. In pictures they don’t look at all special but the metallics on top of that deep blue base are stunning in real life.

Here I was still playing around with metallic and pearl paints and these 2 on a mars black base just seem to glow. I was going for sort of a star going supernova type of look. Out of the 2 my favorite is the one on the right.

I then decided I wanted to create a whole series of paintings in the colors of my home that I could proudly display… and I truly love the depth that these ones have in person.

And… now we are back to more jellyfish inspired aft… all 3 pieces my mama bear has claimed. She loves them all so much.

My niece’s bestie moved into her first apartment and the colors she chose are sand beige and several greens… and although on camera they look yellow and neon green they truly are sandy beige and several greens…she really loved them and had proudly displayed them over her sofa.

I wanted to do a few minimal dutch pour paintings and this is what I came up with… I loved the first 3 and the last one was meant to be a sort of forest fairy inspired painting that just got a bit muddy in the middle but there is still something pretty about it…

I did a series of paintings that had this otherworldly bioluminescence to them… I truly love the purple ones and the green one the best bit they are turned out exactly the way I had them envisioned in my mind.

I then created 2 more paintings for the mama bear… she loves blue and there is something so pretty about prussian blue and grey together… and those 2 paintings inspired a prussian blue and purple themed painting.

These 2 I was playing with bright shades and loads of white to get these beautiful pops of highlight sort of shining through the murkiness of the deep deep sea green. I absolutely love these 2

The last 3 were just free formed. the one in the middle was inspired by Olga Soby‘s Breaking Through the Limits series. The ring in the center was wonky and unfortunately the painting got messed up by a falling pillow whilst it was drying on the mat that I use to let my paintings dry.

Well dolls… that’s it for this post. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.

Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO, Nita
