Soft Glam Look

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing OK I guess… I’m in some pain but my energy level is doing great. I was able to do my makeup Saturday and this is the look I came up with.

For this look I used 2 palettes…

Pat McGrath Mothership VI – Midnight Sun Palette ($128 at Sephora for  0.68 oz of total product)

and the

ColourPop Feelin’ Bubbly Palette ($14 On their website for 0.32oz of total product)

Gather around for the walk-through and pictorial for this look….

Eyes and Brows:

I started by setting my brows in place using Got 2 B Glued Spiking Glue ($7.99 at Ulta). I then used the Marc Jacobs Beauty Brow Wow Duo Brow (discontinued as the company is now defunct but this product can still be found on sites like Walmart and Posh Mark). I cleaned up the top part of the brow using the Milk Makeup Flex Concealer ($28 on their website) in the shade Creme (Very fair with warm peach undertones) and the bottom of the brows using my P Louise Base ($12 on their website and on the Morphe website) in the shade Rumour 05, I also primed my lids with this primer.

I started off using the ColourPop palette….

I used a fluffy crease brush and the shade Bubbly Up (matte camel) all through the crease and transition and then using a pointed pencil brush and the shade So Complex (matte ivory) I highlighted the brow bone.

For my crease I took a smaller fluffy crease brush and the shade Blanc Slate (matte pinky nude) making sure to keep it light and fluffed out and low to the crease.

I then switched to the Pat McGrath palette. On a small bullet brush and the shade Vermillion Venom (burnished crimson matte) I darkened the outer v of the crease.

Taking a medium sized packer brush I tapped on the shade Blood Moon 005 (metallic copper rose) over the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid.

With my pinky finger I tapped on the shade Astral Solstice (glittering platinum) over the inner 1/2 of the mobile lid.

Now we work on the lower lash line… I used a pencil brush and the shade Xtreme Dusk  (charcoal brown matte) from the Pat McGrath palette to deepen the lash line. On a medium sized pencil brush I used Blanc Slate (matte pinky nude) to buff the lash line out and then Get a Grape (matte chocolate brown) to deepen the lash line further and to deepen the outer v of the crease further (all from the ColourPop palette).

With a q-tip and the shade Pop Off (metallic ivory with silver pearl) I brightened the tear duct. I then lined my water lines with the E.L.F. No Budge Shadow Stick ($5 for 0.056 oz / 1.59 g of product at Ulta and on the E.L.F. website) in the shade Copper Chic.

Complexion:

I primed my face using Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Pore Diffusing Primer ($26 for 0.94 oz/ 28 mL of product and $14 for 0.50 oz./15 mL of product at Sephora). Today’s foundation is Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturizing Foundation ($50 for 1.2 fl oz/ 35 mL of product at Sephora and Ulta) in the shade 1N2 Ecru (light with neutral rosy undertones). I color corrected using the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Match Stix Corrector Skinstick ($28 for .25 oz / 7.1 g) in the shade Rose Quartz (cool pink for light skin tones) and concealed the under eyes using Tarte Shape Tape Ultra Creamy Concealer ($30 for 0.3381 fl. oz / 10 mL of product at Ulta) in the shade 12N Fair Neutral. I contoured using Makeup Revolution Eye Bright Concealer ($10 for 0.1 fl oz / 2.96 mL of product at Ulta) in the shade Warm Chestnuts (dark skin tones w/ neutral undertone). I bronzed using the Hank & Henry Contour Stick ($25 on their website) in the shade Embrosa. For cream blush I used ColourPop Blush Stix ($10 for 0.28oz /8 g of product on their website.) in the shade Under Pressure (peach). I then locked my bronzer and blush using Kim Chi Chic Thailor Bronzer Duo in the shade 04 Coco Cocoa (deepest shade) and Alamar Cosmetics Encanto Colorete Powder Blush ($17 on their website) in the shade Hermosa Rosa (coral). For highlighter today I skipped the cream highlighter and went straight in with the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Highlight Face Powder ($40 at Ulta) in the shade Soft and Gentle (gilded peach bronze).

Lips, Lashes, and Finishing:

I popped on 3 pearl gems on both eyes in the outer v of my eyes. I lined my lips with the mauve lip liner from the MIKAYLA PAHT TWO X GLAMLITE GOLDEN DREAMS LIP SET ($20 for a lip liner, lipstick and lipgloss on their website) and then filled in my lips using the Maybelline Super Stay Vinyl Ink Liquid Lipcolor ($12.99 for 0.14 fl oz / 4.14 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade Peachy (peachy nude) and then topped that off with the Fenty Gloss Bomb ($20 for 0.3 oz/ 9 mL of product at Ulta and Sephora) in Sweet Mouth (shimmering soft pink). For mascara I used and then popped on a pair of Juvia’s Place Nubian Lashes ($13 for 16.5 mm lashes at Ulta and on the Juvia’s Place website ) in the style Nefertiti. I set the under eyes using Maybelline Lasting Fix Banana Setting Powder ($11.99 for 0.21 oz / 6 g of product at Ulta) and the rest of the face using the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Loose Setting Powder ($6.49 for 3.2 oz / 90.71 g of product at Ulta, also sold at most drugstores) in the shade translucent. I then set my makeup with Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray ($21 for the 1.1 oz/ 34 ml size and $36 for the 3.3 oz / 100 ml size as Sephora and the Charlotte Tilbury website).

Final Thoughts:

This look was super simple and soft glam and I really loved the way it came out.

Today’s scent was Estee Lauder Beautiful Belle Eau de Parfum ($78 for the 1 fl oz / 30 ml size and $99 for the 1.7 fl oz / 50 ml size as Ulta).

The scent notes are:

Top notes are Mimosa, Litchi and Rose.

Middle notes are Gardenia, Tuberose and Orange Blossom

Base notes are Marzipan, Suede, Musk, Orris and Ambroxan.

It’s a fun and floral scent that pairs nicely with jeans and a cute top… It’s the perfect scent for brunch with the crew and yet subtle enough to be acceptable for the office or doctor’s.

Well… that’s it… I hope you enjoy the rest of your day night and that you are in great spirits and health.

Remember dolls… save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO, Nita
