Rose Gold and Berry Glam

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing pretty darn good today. The look I’m posting is from December 18, 2022 and I really wanted to play with my new palette.

The palettes I used for this look are:

1. Uoma Beaut Make It Black Freedom Palette ($44 for 0.42 oz / 12 g of total product making it $4.40 and 0.042 oz / 1.2 g of product each pan). It will be referred to as UB for this post

2. Anastasia Beverly Hills x Jackie Aina Palette ($45 for 0.392 oz / 11.11 g of total product making it $3.21, 0.028 oz, and 0.79 g of product per pan * currently out of stock * on their website). It will be referred to as ABH for this post.

3. Juvia’s Place The Nubian Earth Palette ($20 for 4.8 oz / 136.1 g of total product making it $1.66, 0.4 oz / 11.34 g of product per pan at Ulta). It will be referred to as JP for this post.

I was going for a springtime soft glam monochrome type look for this one….

I will not be reviewing the new items I used for this look… I’ll be doing a separate post reviewing everything from my December Beauty Buys post.

Ok enough intro… let’s get to the walkthrough….

Eyes and Brows:

I started by setting my brows in place using Got 2 B Glued Spiking Glue ($7.99 at Ulta). I then used the Juvia’s Place I Sculpt, I Shade Brow Pencil ($12 for 0.32 oz / 9.07 g of product at Ulta) in the shade ebony. I cleaned up the top part of the brow using the Milk Makeup Flex Concealer ($28 on their website) in the shade Creme (Very fair with warm peach undertones) and the bottom of the brows using my P Louise Base ($12 on their website and on the Morphe website) in the shade Rumour 05, I also primed my lids with this primer.

Starting with the transition I used the shade Supreme (rosy pink – pressed pigment) from ABH with a large fully crease brush. I also buffed this one into the outer 1/3 of the mobile lids.

On a smaller fluffy crease brush using the ABH I buffed the shade Pinker (mid toned cool plum – pressed pigment) into the crease and the very outer edge of the outer 1/3 of the mobile lids.

On a flat packer brush I took a combo of the shade Lewis (mid toned taupe – matte) and Nelson (light neutral peach – matte) and packed that on the outer 2/3 of the mobile lids. * I left the inner 1/3 of the mobile lid plain because I wanted to get a lighter touch of the shade I’ll be placing all over the mobile lid *.

With my finger I used the shade Zamn (rose gold – metallic) from ABH over the inner 2/3 of the mobile lid and then went back over the outer 1/3 of the lid with more Pinker (mid toned cool plum – pressed pigment) to punchy out the over v of the crease.

For the lower lash line I used more of Pinker (mid toned cool plum – pressed pigment) from ABH and then lined the water lines using ColourPop x Avatar the Last Airbender BFF Creme Gel Liner (was $5.00 for 0.01 oz / 0.28 g of product on their website… was limited edition and is no longer available) in the shade Fiery Fierce (metallic warm red). I used Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift Mascara ($11.99 for 0.32 oz / 9.07 g of product at Ulta) in the shade blackest black.

Complexion:

My primer today is Eaze Drop’lit All-Over Glow Enhancer ($34 for 1.22 fl oz / 36 mL of product at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Taffy Topaz (champagne glow for light medium-to-medium skin tones). I contoured using the LA Girl HD Pro Concealer ($4.99 for 0.28 oz / 8.28 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade truffle. Today I tested out the GloWish Multidew Vegan Skin Tint Foundation ($37 for 1.35 fl oz / 40 ml of product on their website) in the shade 01 fair (fair skin tones with neutral undertones) as my foundation… review to come soon… and it wasn’t enough coverage for me so I ended up layering it with the Makeup Revolution IRL Filter Longwear Foundation ($13 for 0.7 fl oz / 23 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade F2 (fair skin tones with a pink undertone). Next I bronzed using the E.L.F. Electric Mood x Pitizion De La Soul Cream Face Quad (limited edition no longer available)… I used the shade Golden Hour and then MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural ($31 for 10g/0.35oz at MAC) in the shade Give Me Sun (light summer peach tan). For blush today I used Thrive Causemetics Triple Threat Color Stick ($36 for 0.28 oz / 8 g of product on their website) in the shade Olivia (peachy pink with shimmer) and I topped it with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush ($43 for 0.15 oz/ 4.25 g of product at Sephora) in the shade  Luminous Flush (champagne rose blush fused with Luminous Light to evoke a candlelit glimmer). Highlight today is Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick ($28 for .25 oz / 7.1 g of product on their website) in the shade champagne heist (glittering champagne) and I Heart Revolution x Disney Fairytale Highlighter Tangled ($8 for 0.24 oz . 6.9 g of product on their website). I color corrected using NARS Radiant Creamy Liquid Color Corrector ($30 for 0.20 oz/ 6 mL of product at Ulta) in the shade Light (light peach to color correct light to medium skin tones) and then concealed the under eyes using  L’oréal Age Perfect Radiant Concealer ($13.99 for 0.23 oz / 6.5 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Ivory. I set my under eyes using Uoma’s Trippin Smooth Powder ($29.50 for 0.35 oz / 10 g of product on their website) in translucent and my face using Cover FX Perfect Setting Powder ($35 for 0.35 oz / 10 g of powder on their website) in the shade (light).

Lips, Lashes, and Finishing:

I lined my lips using NYX Suede Matte Lip Line ($4 for 0.13 oz / 3.68 g of product at Ulta) in the shade STFU (magenta), filled in my lips using MAC Satin Lipstick ($21 for 0.1 oz / 3 g of product on their website) in the shade Captive (pinkish plum) and then topped the lip off with Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss ($16 for 0.16 oz / 45 ml of product at Sephora) in the shade St Tropez (duochrome plum/coral – metallic). I then popped on a pair of Ardell Mega Volume lashes and a gem in the middle of the under eye.

Final Thoughts:

This week’s scent is:

Estée Lauder Beautiful Belle Eau de Parfum ($78 for the 1 fl oz / 30 ml size and $99 for the 1.7 fl oz / 50.28 size at Ulta)… it has scent notes of: Top notes are Mimosa, Litchi and Rose. Middle notes are Gardenia, Tuberose and Orange Blossom and Base notes are Marzipan, Suede, Musk, Orris and Ambroxan.

I really love this eye look. I think there is something so stunning about pairing plums and pinks with rose gold.

My eyebrows are hella wrong. It’s been a while since I’ve done my makeup so I’m out of practice.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.

Remember… Save yourself a spoon for a bit of lipstick…
