Bright Pink January Week #1 Shop My Stash Look #2

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m having a pretty good day. I had an appointment with my new primary doctor today, it was a bit chaotic in the office, it is the first day back after the holiday so I’m still hopeful that this doctor’s office will be better than the one I had last year.

Today’s look is super bright and bubbly… much brighter than I thought it would be based off the face chart…

It’s hard to get a good blend and true pigmentation on paper… but I still liked the look I was able to create.

For today’s look I used 3 palettes:

1. ColourPop Smoke & Roses 30 Pan Palette ($34 for 1.16 oz / 33g of product making it 0.039 oz / 1.1 g and $1.13 per pan on their website). I will refer to this palette as the CPSR.

2. Huda Beauty The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette ($65 for 19.7 G / 0.69 OZ total product making it $3.72 and 1.09 g / 0.038 oz per pan at Sephora). I will refer to this palette as the HNN.

3. Juvia’s Place The Berries 6 Pan Palette (retail price $14 for 0.47 oz/ 13.2 g of product on their website making it 0.078 oz /2.2 g and $2.33 per pan on their website). I will refer to this palette as the JPB.

Now on to the walk-through and pictorial of today’s look….

Eyes and Brows:

I started by setting my brows in place using Got 2 B Glued Spiking Glue ($7.99 at Ulta) and then I outlined and filled the brows in using the Anastasia Beverly HIlls DIPBROW® Waterproof, Smudge Proof Brow Pomade ($21 for 0.14 oz / 4 g of product on their website as well as at Sephora and Ulta) in the shade Ebony. I cleaned up the top part of the brow using the Milk Makeup Flex Concealer ($28 on their website) in the shade Creme (Very fair with warm peach undertones) and the bottom of the brows using the  Beauty Creations Color Base Primer ($4 for 0.5 fl oz / 15 ml of product on their website) in the shade White Out, I also primed my lids with this primer.

Using a fluffy crease brush and the shade alone (cool pink – matte) from the CPSR I blended it over the entire lid space, from lash line to brow bone.

I then applied some NYX Long Lasting Glitter Primer ($6.50 for 0.22 fl oz / 10 ml of product at Ulta) and then using my finger I applied the ColourPop Super Shock Shadow ($7 for 0.074 oz / 2.1 g of product on their website) in the shade Sweet Tea (warm baby pink with silver, gold, and pink pinpoints).

Using a crease brush and the 5th shade (deep pink – matte ) from the JPB I defined the outer 1/3 of the mobile lids and the crease.

Using a fluffy paddle brush and the shade Love Bite (dusty plum – matte) from the HNN I defined the outer v of my crease.

Using a fluffy shader brush and shade 1 (deep berry – matte) from the JPB I deepen the outer v.

For the lower lash lines I created a mid sized drop shadow using a pencil brush and the 2nd shade (mid tone rose pink) from the JPB.

ON a small stiff pencil brush I defined the lashline with the 6th shade (deep plum – matte) from the JPB. I then lined the water lines using ColourPop x Last Airbender BFF Creme Gel Liner (limited edition no longer available) in the shade fiery fierce (warm toned pearl red).

I created mid sized wings using the Benefit Cosmetics Roller Liner Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner ($22 for the 0.03 fl oz / 0.89 ml size and $12 for 0.01 fl oz / 0.30 ml size at Ulta) in the shade brown. I popped on 4 gems at the tail of the wings.

Complexion:

My primer today is the ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Primer ($12 for 1 fl oz / 30 ml of product on their website and at Ulta). I contoured using the Juvia’s Place I Am Magic Concealer ($14 for the 0.34 fl oz / 10.05 ml size and $10 for the 0.11 fl oz / 3.25 ml size at Ulta) in the shade #2 (for deepest dark skin w/ neutral warm undertone). For foundation I used the Milani Glow Hydrating Skin Tint ($12.99 for 1 fl oz / 30 ml of product at Ulta) in shade #110 (fair to light). I color corrected using the Pixi By Petra Correction Concentrate ($12 for 0.10 oz / 2.83 g of product at Target and most drug stores) in the shade Brightening Peach and then concealed using the Beauty Bakerie Instabake 3 in 1 Concealer ($20 for 0.19 fl oz / 5.62 ml of product on their website and at Ulta) in the shade #017 Frappe Hour (2nd lightest shade). I set my under eyes using the RCMA No Color Powder (14 for 3 oz / 85.4 g of product sold several places I purchase it on the Beautylish website) and the rest of my face using the Uoma Beauty Trippin Smooth Powder ($29.50 for 0.35 oz / 10 g of product on their website). My touch up powder for this week is Benefit Cosmetics Hello Happy Velvet Powder Foundation ($30 for 0.25 oz / 7.08 g of product at Ulta) in the shade #4 (medium neutral), however I did not need to touch up today. I touched up my bronzer using the BECCA Sunlit Bronzer (no longer available due to company closing down) in the shade Ipanema Sun and my blush using the Makeup Revolution Blusher Reloaded ($7 for 0.26 oz / 7.5 g of product on their website and at Ulta) in the shade Peach Bliss (light true peach). I coated my lashes in 1 coat of Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Full Frontal Volume, Lift & Curl Mascara (24 for the 0.42 fl oz / 12.5 ml size and $13 for the 0.15 foz / 4.7 go size on their website and at Sephora and Ulta) in the shade Cuz I’m Black (true black) and popped on a pair of  of ColourPop Falsies Faux Lashes ($8 per pair on their website) in the style Chica (lengthening and volumizing everyday lash). I set my whole face using the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray ($36 for the 3.3 oz / 100 ml size and $21 for the 1.1 oz/ 34 ml size at Sephora).

Final Thoughts:

Although this look came out brighter than I had planned I still love the overall look. It was fun and flirty and hey who doesn’t like to have their makeup match their fashion hair color?

As was the case yesterday, today’s scent is Versace Yellow Diamond Eau de Toilette ($65 for the 1 fl oz / 30 ml size. $85 for the 1.7 fl oz / 50.28 ml size. $105 for the 3 fl oz / 88.72 ml size. Sold at Ulta).

Well dolls… thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.

Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
