Anniversary Meal.

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing well. Yesterday was our 21st anniversary and hubby had to work so we decided to celebrate today instead (Saturday 21st).

We went to a brazilian restaurant for a late lunch and then spent the rest of the night watching movies. This is the restaurant we went to…

The food was amazing!

For an appetizer we chose the Polenta Frita Com Rabada Defriada (fried cornmeal with shredded oxtail). Oh man when I say that was a perfect union of light crispy and creamy saltiness…. I truly mean it. The polenta was perfectly seared and the oxtail was beautifully braised.

I chose 2 more appetizers as my main… the Coxinha de Galinha (it’s a traditional brazilian starter that is minced chicken covered in dough and deep fried, a kin to puerto rican croquetas). The chicken was creamy and perfectly seasoned and the outer fried dough was crispy yet soft… so yummy. The second one I ordered was the Rabada Pastel a Brasileira (brazilian fried oxtail empanadas). I swear those little pockets of oxtail goodness are super addictive. I was so into my meal I forgot to take a picture of the plate before I ate everything.

Hubby chose the Bobo de Camarao (a brazilian stew made from a yucca cream, coconut milk, dende palm oil and shrimp, served with white rice).

For dessert we shared the restaurant’s take on the classic brazilian truffle style dessert called Brigadeiro (theirs was more of a pudding but still equally yummy, it was creamy and decadent and not overly chocolatey).

It was an amazing night and we have plans to go back in a few weeks for another date night.

Well… Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.

Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
