Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing well.

I let hubby choose the makeup look for today’s date. We were celebrating our 21st anniversary today.

I’m typically not one who likes cool toned neutrals but this look has made me rethink that.

I just love a pop of teal but the cool toned neutrals just elevated the look.

For today’s look I used 2 palettes and a ColourPop Super Shock Shadow:

Juvia’s Place The Candy Shop Eyeshadow Palette ($$25 for 1.128 oz / 32 g total product making it 0.071 oz / 2 g and $1.38 per pan). I will refer to this palette as the JPCAN.

ColourPop of Quartz ($14 for 0.3 oz / 9 g of product making it $1.55 and 0.033 oz / 1 g of product per shade on their website). I will refer to this palette as the CPOQ.

ColourPop Super Shock Shadow in the shade A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes.

Let’s take a look at today’s walkthrough and pictorial:
*remember as always, all hyperlinks provided are simply for fast location of the products used and not affiliate links… I just did the research so you didn’t have to. all swatched pictures are done on clean bare skin with no primer and in 1 pass to show the true pigmentation of the product*
Eyes and Brows:

I started by setting my brows in place using Got 2 B Glued Spiking Glue ($7.99 at Ulta) and then I filled in my brows using the Makeup Revolution Brow Pomade ($9 for 0.08 oz / 2.27 g of product at Ulta) in the shade dark brown. I then cleaned up the top part of my brows using the L’oreal Age Perfect Radiant Concealer ($13.99 for 0.23 fl oz / 6.8 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade ivory and cleaned up the lower part of the brow, as well as primed the lids, using the Beauty Creations Color Base Primer ($ for 0.5 fl oz / 15 ml of product on their website) in the shade White Out.

For my transition I chose the shade sio (pale grey – matte) from the CPOQ with a fluffy crease brush.

Using a smaller fluffy crease brush I defined my crease and the outer 1/3 of the mobile lids with the shade granite access (taupe – matte) from the CPOQ.

I used what was left on the flat shadder brush that I used to prime my lids to clean the inner 2/3 of my mobile lids and then applied some NYX Long Lasting Glitter Primer ($6.50 for 0.33 fl oz / 10 ml of product at Ulta) using a tiny detail brush to the newly cleaned 2/3.

I then applied Shade #12 (turquoise blue – metallic) from the JPCAN using a short shadder brush.

Using a tiny concealer brush and the ColourPop Super Shock Shadow in the shade A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes I apply it to the inner 1/3 of the mobile lid.

Using a pencil brush and the shade magmatic (chocolate taupe – metallic) from the CPOQ to blend the line of delineation between the outer and middle 1/3 of the mobile lids.

For the lower lashline I used a dome brush and more of the shade granite access (taupe – matte) from the CPOQ to create a mid sized drop shadow.

Using a tiny pencil brush and the shade opaque (charcoal – matte) from CPOQ I defined the lashline and the outer v of the crease.

I lined my lower water lines with the NYX Slide On Glide On eyeliner (discontinued) in the shade Azure (pale teal) and then created a long straight wing using the Uoma Beauty Afro.Dis.Iac Cleopatra Ink Liquid Eyeliner ($18 for 0.01 fl oz / 0.30 ml of product at Ulta).
Complexion:

I primed my face using the AOA Aqua Hydrating Face Primer ($1 for 0.67 fl oz / 19.81 ml of product on the Shop Miss A website) and then tested out the L’Oreal Prime Lab Up to 24H Pore Minimizer ($16.99 for 1 fl oz / 30 ml of product at Ulta) over my pores and around my nose. I contoured using the Makeup Revolution Eye Bright Concealer ($10 for 0.10 fl oz / 2.96 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade warm chestnut (dark skin tones with neutral undertones). For foundation today I tested out the Revlon Illuminance Skin-Caring Foundation ($17.99 1 fl oz / 30 ml of product) in the shade #117 light beige. For cream bronzer I used the Hank and Henry Contour Stick ($25 on their website) in the shade Embrosa and for cream blush I tested out the Plouise The Cheek of it – Liquid Blush ($19 for 0.88 fl oz / 25 ml of product on their website) in the shade Strawberry sunrise (bright strawberry coral pink). I color corrected my under eyes using the Smashbox X BECCA Under Eye Brightening Corrector ($33 for 0.15 oz / 4.25 g of product at ulta) in the shade fair/light and then tested the Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Light Illuminating Smoothing Concealer ($26 for 0.16 fl oz / 5 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade vanilla wafer (fair golden). I lightly set my under eyes using the Makeup Revolution Loose Baking Powder ($8 for 1.12 oz / 32 g of product at Ulta) in the shade translucent and the rest of my face lightly using the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Loose Setting Powder ($6.49 for 0.7 oz / 19.84 g of product at Ulta) in the shade translucent. I touched up my bronzer with the NARS Matte Bronzer ($38 for 0.28 oz / 8 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Samoa (deep golden brown) and for my blush i tested out the Revlon Powder Blush ($12.89 for 0.17 oz / 5 g of product) in the shade ravishing rose. I then to highlighted the high points of my face I tested out the Revlon SkinLights Prismatic Highlighter ($13.99 for 0.28 oz / 8 g of product) in the shade #210 daybreak glimmer.
Lips, Lashes and Finishings:

I lined my lips using the NYX Suede Matte Velvet Vegan Lip Liner ($4 for 0.03 oz / 0.85 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Stockholm (mid-tone beige pink) and then filled my lips in with MAC Matte Lipstick ($21 for 0.1 oz / 2.83 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Velvet Teddy (deep-tone beige). I coated my lashes with Flower Beauty Lash Warrior Mascara ($11.99 for 0.35 oz / 9.92 g of product at Ulta) and popped on a pair of Faux Mink Lashes from Alamar in the shade Salvaje ($14 per pair on their website). I set my face using the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray ($36 for the 3.3 fl oz / 100 ml size and $21 for the 1.1 fl oz / 34 ml size at Sephora). I did not touch up my face today so that I could properly test the foundation I was wearing.
Final Thoughts:

I did not think I was going to like the Of Quartz palette because it’s a cool toned palette but after using it I think I just may have to purchase a few more… I love the smokiness of the taupes.
Well, that’s all dolls. Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.

Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick…

I still need to try the candy shop palette . It’s so pretty
