January Week #4 Collective Haul #2

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing pretty darn well today.

I got a few more items in the mail today and thought I’d swatch and haul them before I dig into them.

I have some stuff from Ulta, ColourPop and a palette that I purchased through Glambot.

*remember as always, all hyperlinks provided are simply for fast location of the products used and not affiliate links… I just did the research so you didn’t have to. all swatched pictures are done on clean bare skin with no primer and in 1 pass to show the true pigmentation of the product*

The Item I Purchased Through Glambot:

For those of you who don’t know what Glambot is, it’s sort of like a Mercari or Poshmark… where you can buy gently used makeup at a discounted price. Glambot takes the item and sanitizes and then sells it at a discounted price. Sometimes there may be a palette that has a shade that the seller has hit pan on or that has cracked and Glambot will clean that pan up and sell the remaining palette at a great price. I have purchased a few odds and ends from them in the past and even though they do sanitize the items I will naturally still sanitize the item when I receive it.

Juvia’s Place The Tribe Palette ($13 for 8 of the 9 shades Glambot) I was really upset that I missed the boat on this palette. I really wanted it but thought I’d just get it at a later time when this one first launched in 2021. I spent the better part of 2 years trying to get my hands on this palette. It has 5 matte shades and 4 metallic shades (the missing shade is a champagne metallic with a slight green flip).

The shades from left to right are: Maasai (yellow green – matte), Oromo (tangerine orange – matte), Tutsi (bright granny smith green – matte) MISSING SHADE IS CALLED KORO (champagne with a slight green flip – metallic) and Changa (bronze – metallic).

The shades from left to right are: Kuba (deep green – metallic), Ashanti (yellow based khaki tan – matte), Kurla (bright copper – metallic) and San (blue based evergreen – matte).

First Impression: I am so happy to have this palette as part of my collection. It has some of the most unique greens that I’ve ever seen. The mattes are creamy as are the metallics and there was no kick back in the pans.

The Items I Purchased Through ColourPop:

ColourPop Colour Stixxx Kit ($14 for 2 pens that have 0.048 oz / 1.35 g each) in the color story Werk It. The first shade is called Clownin’ (bright silver – metallic) and the second one is called Donut Break (teal – metallic).

They are billed as a super creamy, multi-tasking eyeshadow in a stick! Ultra pigmented for high impact color in one swipe and a long wearing, water-resistant formula that lasts all day.

No first impression here… I have already tried this formula and it’s a 10 out of 10 winner for me. So much so that I just placed an order for the remaining colors.

* These pencils come with a build in pencil sharpener… don’t sharpen these with a separate sharpener… it ruins the pencil. *

ColourPop Colour Stix ($7 for 0.021 oz / 0.60 g of product) in the shade Happy Days (rose with a blue and silver flip – metallic).

ColourPop Colour Stix ($7 for 0.021 oz / 0.60 g of product) in the shade Citrus Squeeze (tangerine – metallic).

ColourPop Colour Stix ($7 for 0.021 oz / 0.60 g of product) in the shade Cool Breeze (antique gold – metallic).

The Items I Purchased Through Ulta:

Essence Hello, Good Stuff! Glow Serum Primer ($5.99 for 1.01 fl oz / 30 ml of product at Ulta) is billed as a hydrating serum primer with a lightweight, quick absorbing gel texture for a healthy, natural glow and claims to be packed with skin-loving ingredients.

First Impression: This is definitely a hydrating primer!!! and it does have a glow to it. It has a watermelon scent, but not that sickly sweet fake watermelon, it’s got a true real watermelon scent. (now drink every time you read the word watermelon ha ha).

Essence Keep Me Covered Long-Lasting Foundation ($6.99 for 1.01 fl oz / 30 ml of product at Ulta) comes in 15 shades, I purchased the shade #20 porcelain (the 2nd lightest shade) and is billed as natural-looking and long-lasting coverage. It claims to be medium to high coverage and 16 hour wear.

First Impression: This is a true medium coverage foundation with a satin finish. The shade I chose is a neutral light shade and I think I erred on the side of caution a little too much… this one might be a hair too light for me but bronzer covers a multitude of sins. I did leave the swatch on for 5 minutes, it did not oxidize and it did dry down somewhat, but will still need a light powdering to lock it in place.

Essence Keep Me Covered Concealer ($4.99 for 0.11 fl oz / 3.5 ml of product at Ulta) comes in 10 shades, I purchased the shade #30 Alabaster (the 3rd lightest shade) and is billed as a lightweight medium to high coverage.

First Impression: This is a satin concealer and the glow and smoothness of this swatch is amazing! I cannot wait to test this one out!!! I left the swatch for 5 minutes and it did not oxidize, it did not set down either so setting with powder will be a must.

Essence The Blush ($3.99 for 0.17 oz / 5 g of product at Ulta) comes in 4 shades, I purchased the shade #40 Beloved (pinky coral – matte) and is billed as a beautifully natural flush of color to the cheeks, creating a sun-kissed look.

First Impressions: This shade is so pretty! It’s the perfect marriage of pink and coral, it’s satin (which is my favorite powder blush formula) and it’s not overly pigmented.

Ulta Beauty Collection Under Eye Brightener ($10 for 0.07 oz / 2.1 g of product at Ulta) comes in 2 shades, I purchased the shade Light/Medium. It’s billed as a fresh, wide-awake feeling and claims to be able to smooth and brighten in one swipe.

First Impressions: I have never tried anything for the Ulta brand but this is a creamy and super bright corrector! I can’t wait to use this one and I’m thinking I might just have to purchase a full face of Ulta Brand items to do a dedicated post on the brand as a whole.

Pixi by Petra Endless Silky Eye Pen ($12 for 0.04 oz / 1.2 g of product at Ulta) comes in 7 shades, I purchased the shade Matte Nude. It’s billed as an award-winning liner that glides onto lids like seamless silk and claims to be a stay-put gel formula made to last all day or night! Waterproof and smudgeproof.

No first impressions here… it’s my favorite waterline formula and I purchase these over and over again.

Pixi by Petra Endless Silky Eye Pen ($12 for 0.04 oz / 1.2 g of product at Ulta) comes in 7 shades, I purchased the shade Black Noir.

Pixi by Petra Endless Silky Eye Pen ($12 for 0.04 oz / 1.2 g of product at Ulta) comes in 7 shades, I purchased the shade Rose Glow. (this one is a back up to the one I haul on 1/20/23… I go through this shade so quickly).
