Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope.

I’m doing pretty well today. Not too high of a pain level and somewhat decent energy.

Last night I did a full facial to try and help my skin bounce back. I exfoliated, did a wet heated towel, all of my serums, a rescue hyaluronic acid sheet mask, upper and lower eye patches and then my sleep mask. It’s not an instant fix but it helped a lot.

For today’s look I used the following palettes…

Juvia’s Place The Candy Shop Eyeshadow Palette ($$25 for 1.128 oz / 32 g total product making it 0.071 oz / 2 g and $1.38 per pan). I’ll refer to this palette as Candy. I used 2 shades from this palette.

Morphe 9M Melon Pop Artistry Palette ($12 for 0.35 oz / 10.1 g of total product making it 0.039 oz / 1.12 g and $1.33 per shade). I’ll refer to this palette as Melon. I used 4 shades from this palette.

Blend Bunny The Blends 30 Pan Palette ($39 on their website). I’ll refer to this palette as Blends. I only used 1 shade from this palette.

Let’s take a look at the walk-through and pictorial for this Valentine’s day look….

Eyes and Brows:

Today I started by setting my brows in place using Got 2 B Glued Spiking Glue ($7.99 at Ulta) and then to fill in my brows I tested the P.Louise Eyebrow Paint ($19 for 0.53 oz / 15 g of product on their website) in the shade espresso. I then cleaned up the top part of my brows using the L’oreal Age Perfect Radiant Concealer ($13.99 for 0.23 fl oz / 6.8 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade ivory and cleaned up the lower part of the brow, as well as primed the lids, using the Beauty Creations Color Base Primer ($ for 0.5 fl oz / 15 ml of product on their website) in the shade White Out.

I set my brow line using a short crease brush and the shade Melon Frozé (pale vanilla – matte) from Melon.

I set down my transition using a fluffy crease brush and Shade #7 baby pink – matte pressed pigment from Candy.

I defined my crease and the outer 1/3 of the mobile lids with another fluffy crease brush and the shade What a Melon! (pure rose pink – matte) from Melon.

Taking a bullet brush and the shade Con Chile (bright red – matte) from Melon I defined the lower part of the crease and deepened the outer 1/3 of the mobile lids.

To define the outer v of the crease I combined Con Chile (bright red – matte) and Too Juiced (mid toned reddish brown – matte from Melon on a fluffy crease brush.

Using another bullet brush and the shade Vixed (deep bright red) from Blends I softened the outer v of the crease.

Taking a bit more of the Beauty Creations Color Base Primer ($ for 0.5 fl oz / 15 ml of product on their website) in the shade White Out I lightened the inner 2/3 of my mobile lids. I then applied some NYX Long Lasting Glitter Primer ($6.50 for 0.33 fl oz / 10 ml of product at Ulta).

With a flat shadder brush and Shade #1 pink/coral duochrome pressed pigment from Candy I applied it to the inner 2/3 mobile lids.

For the middle 1/3 of the mobile lids I used the Huda Beauty Matte & Metal Melted Double Ended Liquid Eyeshadows ($25 for 0.068 fl oz / 2.01 ml per side at Sephora) in the shade Million Dollar Deals (dusty mauve – metallic side).

For the lower lash line I created a small drop shadow with a pencil brush and the shade Con Chile (bright red – matte) from Melon.

Using the same brush I deeped the drop shadow with the shade Vixed (deep bright red) from Blends.

Using the Benefit Highlighter Box ($35 for 0.28 oz / 8 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Tickle (golden pink) and a stiff pencil brush I highlighted the inner corners.

I lined my lower water lines using the ColourPop BFF Creme Gel Liner (this shade no longer avaiable was limited edition) in the shade Cherry Pie (bright true red).

I created a thin wing using the ColourPop Creme Gel Colour (from the colour me pretty collection – out of stock on their website) in the shade venus (vibrant red).

I then added 3 crystals to the tail of the wings with some lash glue.
Complexion:

I primed my cheeks and chin using the L’Oreal Prime Lab Up to 24H Pore Minimizer ($16.99 for 1 fl oz / 30 ml of product at Ulta) and the rest of my face using the AOA Aqua Hydrating Face Primer ($1 for 0.67 fl oz / 19.81 ml of product on the Shop Miss A website). I then added the L’oreal True Match Lumi Glotion Natural Glow Enhancer ($15.99 for 1.35 fl oz / 40 ml of product) in the shade fair for a little glow. I contoured using the Makeup Revolution Eye Bright Concealer ($10 for 0.10 fl oz / 2.96 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade warm chestnut (dark skin tones with neutral undertones). For foundation today I used the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Longwear Foundation ($46 for 1 fl oz / 30 ml of product at Sephora) in the shade 3 Neutral (for fair skin with neutral undertones). From cream bronzer I used the Hank and Henry Contour Stick ($25 on their website) in the shade Embrosa. For cream blush I used Hourglass Vanish Blush Stick ($46 for 0.2 oz / 6 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Sacred (coral peach). For cream highlighter I used the NARS The Multiple Cream Blush, Lip and Eye Stick ($39 for 0.50 oz / 14 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Copacabana (opalescent pink pearl highlight). I tested out the ELF Camo Color Corrector ($4 for 0.09 fl oz / 2.8 ml of product at Ulta) in peach and then concealed the under eyes using the Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer ($22 for 0.25 fl oz / 7.5 ml of product at Sephora) in the shade #310 N (light with neutral beige undertones). I lightly set my under eyes using the Makeup Revolution Loose Baking Powder ($8 for 1.12 oz / 32 g of product at Ulta) in the shade translucent and my face using the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Loose Setting Powder ($6.49 for 0.7 oz / 19.84 g of product at Ulta) in the shade translucent. I touched up my bronzer using the NARS Matte Bronzer ($38 for 0.28 oz / 8 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Samoa (deep golden brown), my blush using the Nabla Skin Glazing ($24 for 0.23 oz / 6.52 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Truth (peachy rose) and my highlighter using the Benefit Highlighter Box ($35 for 0.28 oz / 8 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Tickle (golden pink).
Lips, Lashes and Finishings:

I lined my lips with Suede Matte Velvet Vegan Lip Liner ($4 for 0.03 oz / 0.85 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Kitten Heels (bright red) and topped my lips using Maybelline Super Stay Vinyl Ink Liquid Lipcolor ($12.99 for 0.14 fl oz / 4.14 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade Wicked (classic blue toned red). I did 1 coat of Flower Beauty Lash Warrior Mascara ($11.99 for 0.35 oz / 9.92 g of product at Ulta) and popped on a pair of Ardell Lash Faux Mink Wispies ($17.99 for a 4 pack at Ulta). I set my face using the MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ Primer and Setting Spray ($31 for the 3.4 fl oz / 100 ml size and $16 for the 1 fl oz / 30 ml size at Ulta) in Creamy Coconut. I did not touch up my face today as I was testing a new foundation and concealer.
Final Thoughts:

I really love red eyeshadow. It can be fun and flirty, gothic and even glam with the right layers. I really loved this look. There’s just enough pink to make the look soft and yet the red makes it powerful.

Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.

Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
