Shop My Stash Selections for January 2023 Week #5

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m hanging in there… trying not to dwell on my flare, trying hard to just look for the positive.

It’s a new Saturday so that means a whole new basket of makeup stash selections to share with you….. If you are new to my Makeup Stash Selection post, I have a vast collection of makeup, I labeled all my makeup 1- however many I have of each item. I have a random generator app that I downloaded from the playstore called the Tiny Decisions app. I created a list for each category of makeup items and plugged in the numbers for each category. Every Saturday I use the app to select the items I will be using for the upcoming week. The purpose for this is so that I can cycle through my makeup. This helps me use up makeup but also helps me weed through makeup that I either don’t like, doesn’t work well for me, or has gotten too old for use.

This has made planning makeup content so much easier for me.

Also There are a few symbols that I use to identify items that are:

Discontinued: For the items that were either limited edition or otherwise discontinued (also items of defunct brands).

Chopping Block: Items that I want to test one more time before deciding if I will keep them or declutter them.

Recycled: Items that I didn’t get to use the previous week that I wanted to rollover into this week’s selections.

Testing: Items that are newer to my collection that I want to test out for a review.

Let’s take a look at what the Tiny Decisions app chose for me today.

*remember as always, all hyperlinks provided are simply for fast location of the products used and not affiliate links… I just did the research so you didn’t have to. All swatches and done on clean bear skin, in one pass and with no primer*

Non Makeup Items:

OPI Nail Lacquer (this one was part of a limited edition collection but I’ve included the link for the Infinite Shine Long-Wear Nail Polish with the same name, just a tad lighter) in the shade OPI Grabs the Unicorn by the Horns.

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Eau de Toilette ($31 for the 0.33 fl oz / 10 ml size, $70 for the 0.8 fl oz / 24 ml size, $92 for the 1.6 fl oz / 50 ml size, $116 for the 3.3 fl oz / 100 ml size and $150 for the 6.7 fl oz / 200 ml size at Sephora) was launched in 2001.

The scent notes are:

Top Notes: Sicilian Lemon, Apple, Cedar and Bellflower.

Heart Notes: Bamboo, Jasmine and White Rose.

Base Notes:

Cedar, Musk and Amber.

Primers:

Urban Decay All Nighter Ultra Glow Makeup Primer ($38 for 1 fl oz / 30 ml at Ulta).

Revolution Pro (Makeup Revolution) CC Perfecting Skin Tint ($12 for 0.87 fl oz / 26 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade light.

Huda Beauty Glowish Blur Jam Silicone Free Smoothing Primer ($33 for 0.87 fl oz / 26 ml of product at Sephora) .

I have tried to make this primer work, really I have. I’ll attempt it 1 more time if it doesn’t work out it will be decluttered this month.

Milani Tinted Undereye Brightener ($4.5 at Walgreens for 0.51 fl oz / 15 ml of product) in the shade peach.

Glamlite Eye-cing Eyeshadow Base ($10 for 0.52 fl oz / 15.38 ml of product on their website) in the shade classic vanilla (2nd lightest shade).

Foundations and Concealers:

Morphe Filter Effect Soft-Focus Foundation ($20 for 0.94 fl oz / 22.80 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade Filter Light 6 (light with neutral undertones).

It’s on the chopping black because the last 2 times I used it my base looked cakey and clung to everything… now I was testing a new primer and that could have been the reason, so I want to test it out with a tried and true primer to see how it wears.

Dior BACKSTAGE Face & Body Foundation ($40 for 1.6 fl oz / 50 ml of product at Sephora) in the shade Neutral 1.

BECCA Ultimate Coverage 24 Hour Foundation (BECCA now defunct but this shade can be found on the Walmart and the Amazon website) in the shade cashmere.

Pat McGrath Labs Sublime Perfection Foundation ($68 for 1.18 fl oz / 35 ml of product at Sephora) in the shade Light 3 (light with neutral undertones).

This item was chosen by the app, however I have yet to try this one so this will double as a week 5 item and a testing for future review item.

Makeup Revolution IRL Filter Finish Concealer ($7 for 0.21 oz / 6 g of product at Ulta) in the shade c1.

Milk Makeup Future Fluid All Over Medium Coverage Hydrating Concealer ($29 for 0.28 fl oz / 8.5 ml of product at Sephora) in the shade 3N (very fair with neutral undertones).

Plouise The Cheek of it – Liquid Blush ($19 for 0.88 fl oz / 25 ml of product on their website) in the shade in the shade Melon Mood (melon coral).

BH Cosmetics (going through bankruptcy so items are not being restocked as of now) Blushing in Bali in the shade Lychee (soft pinkish peach – matte) -> this is the shade on the chopping block… I never reach for it ever and every time it’s been selected I end up reaching for something else. I will use the shade Coral (true coral – satin) if I can’t get the selected shade to work.

Highlighters:

Physicians Formula Organic Wear Dewy Highlighter Stick ($12.49 for 0.3 oz / 8.8 g of product on their website) Dewy Frost (the lighter shade).

It’s a stiffer formula and I just never want to reach for it… so I’m giving it one last shot.
