Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m still reeling from the pain of this latest flare. It’s been a week now but thankfully I am keeping food down now. I know I always close every post by saying “save a spoon for a bit of lipstick”… I of course do not mean this literally. I just mean to remind my fellow spoonies to save a little of their daily supply of energy to do something, anything for themselves too. When there are spoons a plenty we tend to try and cram as much as possible into taking care of everyone else and making sure we get as much of the daily chores done as possible… before you know it… we are out of spoons and have done zip for ourselves. I try to do at least 1 or 2 things for just me… be that a facial, or a mani/pedi, or color my hair… something just for my benefit…. Well… this week has been hell and I haven’t been able to play in makeup, hell, I haven’t even been able to wash my hair, but I did take some time for myself. I couldn’t do a full mani/pedi but I did soak in my foot bath and that felt wonderful. I also set myself up with some pretty awesome sewing patterns for a few hats, bags and maxi dresses. I have the patterns all cut out… just waiting for the flare to end so that I can cut out the fabric to create the blanks (the test garment that you make before you cut into the good fabric).
Ok… Ok… enough with the rambling… I know you’re really here to see my new makeup babies… so let’s dive in.
One more thing… please forgive these swatches… I know my arms are hairy again… I just haven’t had the will to shave them whilst recovering.

KVD Beauty Everlasting Hyperlight Vegan Transfer-Proof Liquid Lipstick ($22 for 0.23 fl oz / 6.8 ml of product at Ulta) comes in 21 shades, I purchased the shade Queen of Potions (chestnut rose – formerly Lolita) and claims to be an all-day, transfer-proof wear in an evolved formula for hyper-lightweight comfort that is non-drying, feather-resistant, ultra-thin and flexible with an 8 hour wear.
I already purchased this formula and so there isn’t a first impression for this entry, however there will be a review coming soon.

Milani Make It Dewy Setting Spray Hydrate + Illuminate + Set ($10.99 for 2.03 fl oz / 60 ml of product at Ulta) is billed as a spray that primes, sets and hydrates skin while giving brightness a boost for up to 16 hours. It claims to deliver just the right dose of dewy and helps to prevent creasing, smudging or fading.
First Impression: The nozzle is perfect. There is no glitter or shimmer in this setting spray, nor is there any harsh scent. I tested it on the back of my hand and it did look more radiant. I’m excited to try this one, I have been trying to get my hands on it for a while now.

Milani No Pore Zone Mattifying Face Primer ($11.99 for 1 fl oz / 30 ml of product at Ulta) is billed as a lightweight, ultra-blurring and pore minimizing primer that preps skin for flawless makeup application and claims to be a silky formula for all skin tones.
First Impression: This primer is a silicone primer so a little goes a long way. It’s best to use too little than too much as this one will pill up on you. It did blur the texture on the back of my hand and it felt slippy so I’m excited to try this one.

Milani Conceal & Perfect Face Lift Collection Liquid Highlighter ($10.99 for 0.2 fl oz / 8 ml of product at Ulta) is billed as an instant luminous finish with finely milled pearl for an effortless candlelight glow. It comes in 4 shades, I purchased the shade 01 Lunar (light champagne gold). It claims to be buildable luminous finish dries evenly for easy layering.
First Impression: I hate the wand… it’s so messy, but… the product is stunning. It’s not glittery it just shines. It also dries dry completely so work in small batches to avoid harsh lines.

Milani Conceal & Perfect Face Lift Collection Undereye Brightener ($10.99 for 0.2 fl oz / 8 ml of product at Ulta) is billed as instantly brightens & illuminates with color correction pigments & micro-fine pearls. It comes in 4 shades this shade is 01 Rose (pink).
First Impression: There is a slight sparkle like glitter in this but it’s very fine and almost untraceable. It’s very creamy but as you can see from the product shot, hella messy. It also doesn’t set down so under eye powder is a must.

Milani Conceal & Perfect Face Lift Collection Undereye Brightener ($10.99 for 0.2 fl oz / 8 ml of product at Ulta) is billed as instantly brightens & illuminates with color correction pigments & micro-fine pearls. It comes in 4 shades this shade is 02 Melon (peach).
First Impression: same as the above, this one is creamy, doesn’t set down and is messy however this one seems to have less sparkle in it.

Milani Conceal & Perfect Face Lift Collection Liquid Contour ($10.99 for 0.2 fl oz / 8 ml of product at Ulta) is billed as sculpt, define & contour the face with the effortlessly buildable and blendable formula. It comes in 4 shades and I purchased the shade 02 Ginger (warm taupe for light to medium skin tones). It claims to be a streak free application.
First Impression: Again, this is a messy product. With that said, this is the perfect bronzing tone. Not too red not too orange, somewhere in between. It dried down completely so be careful and go in small batches.

Milani Conceal & Perfect Face Lift Collection Liquid Contour ($10.99 for 0.2 fl oz / 8 ml of product at Ulta) is billed as sculpt, define & contour the face with the effortlessly buildable and blendable formula. It comes in 4 shades and I purchased the shade 04 Cocoa (deep brown for medium deep to dark deep skin tones). It claims to be a streak free application.
First Impression: all the same as above, I purchased this shade as my contour shade, I tend to love deeper more neutral browns as my contour and this one is even prettier than my beloved Charlotte TIlbury Hollywood Contour Wand.
To say goodbye, for now dolls… I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.

Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

As a fellow spoonie, finding the energy for self-care is the hardest thing! I have the hardest time finding a good contour for how pale I am, so I might have to check this one out; I liked the Milani eyeshadow primer!

YES!!! It truly can be a struggle to just simply shower …. it’s why I always try to remind my spoonies to hold back a tiny bit of energy for just themselves because we tend to neglect ourselves in favor of making sure everyone else is taken care of. SheGlam has a really great cool toned contour stick for pale skin that might work for you. I always tell fair skinned beauties to try a cool toned contour with a slight grey base … it looks the most natural. I don’t believe I’ve ever tried the milani eye primer… I’ll have to add it to next month’s makeup purchases to try. I myself am a P.Louise Eye Primer lover.
