Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing ok today, a little more achy than yesterday, but still much better than I have been.

I couldn’t find my pink hat so I decided to rock a headscarf instead, albeit I look like a very fabulous pirate, and by mid day I just twisted the tails of the scarf into a braided bun at the nape of my neck. I also changed my lip color about 2 hours after taking pictures for the blog.

For today’s look I used the full blue row of shadows from the Blend Bunny Lure 24 Pan Palette ($46 for 0.81 oz / 2.3 g of total product making it 0.0338 oz / 0.96 g and $1.92 per shade) as well as 2 of the shades from the teal row and the shade Booty (midtone magenta – matte) from the pink row.

Ok… now let’s get into today’s walkthrough and pictorial of episode 2 of the chop and haul…as I said in yesterday’s episode… grab a drink, perhaps a snack and buckle in … it may be a bit longer than you are used to with my posts.
As a reminder… I will be wearing head coverings this week, in preparation for bleaching my hair Saturday…

Eyes and Brows:

I started by setting my brows in place using Got 2 B Glued Spiking Glue ($7.99 at Ulta) and then to fill in my brows using the Juvia’s Place i Sculpt, i Shade Brow Palette ($11 for 0.28 oz / 8 g of total product making it 0.07 oz, 2 g and $2.75 per shade) in the 1st shade of the 2nd row. I cleaned my brows (arch side) using Maybelline Fit Me Concealer ($7.49 for 0.23 oz at Ulta) in the shade sand. I also cleaned the brows (brow bone side) and primed my whole eyelid space using the P.Louise Base ($13 for 0.5 fl oz on their website) in Rumour 0 (white).

Using a fluffy paddle shader brush I laid down the shade Catch Me (pastel blue – matte) all throughout my transition.

Using the shade Explore (dusty true blue – matte) on a fluffy crease brush I defined my crease and the outer 2/3 of the mobile lids.

I then defined the outer v of the crease using a large pencil brush and the shade The Deep (deep true blue – matte).

With a small detail brush and the shade Lost at Sea (very white heavy pastel teal – matte) I highlighted the inner 1/3 of the mobile lids.

I applied some shadow shields to keep for having any glitter fall out and using a large silicone applicator and NYX Long Lasting Glitter Primer ($6.50 for 0.22 fl oz at Ulta) to prep the area for the shimmer. I then used a silicone pigment applicator to apply the shade Bioluminescent (true blue with a teal flip – metallic) to the inner 1/3 of the mobile lid.

For the lower lashline I used a pencil brush and more of the shade Explore (dusty true blue – matte) to create a medium sized drop shadow.

Next using a stiff pencil brush and the shade The Deep (deep true blue – matte) I defined the outer 1/3 of the lower lashline.

First using a pencil brush and the shade Catch Me (pastel blue – matte) I buffed out the whole lower lashline and then using a clean fluffy crease brush I bought the drop shadow line lower down.

On a small shader brush I highlighted the inner corners of the eyes using the shade Folklore (sage with a teal and silver flip – metallic.

I then lined my water lines using a sapphire blue eyeliner from nyx that is no longer sold.
Complexion:

I primed my face using Makeup Forever Step 1 Primer Pore Minimizer ($39 for 1 fl oz / 30 ml of product at Sephora) for the cheeks and nose area and Laura Mercier Pure Canvas Primer – Illuminating ($47 for 1.7 fl oz / 50 ml at Sephora). I contoured using Milani Conceal & Perfect Face Lift Collection Liquid Contour ($10.99 for 0.2 fl oz / 8 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade Cocoa (deep brown). For foundation I tested out the KVD Beauty Good Apple Full-Coverage Transfer-Proof Vegan Serum Foundation ($42 for 1.01 fl oz / 30 ml of product at Sephora) in the shade light 008 (for fair skin with neutral undertones). For bronzer I used the Makeup by Mario SoftSculpt Shaping Stick ($30 for 0.37 oz / 10.5 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Medium (natural matte finish for light-medium to medium skin tones -warm golden). For cream blush today I tested out the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Beauty Blush Wand ($42 for 0.4 oz / 12 ml of product at Sephora) in the shade Pink Pop (matte pink). For cream highlighter I used Milani Conceal & Perfect Face Lift Collection Liquid Highlighter ($10.99 for 0.21 fl oz / 8 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade Lunar (light champagne gold). I color corrected using the Milani Conceal & Perfect Face Lift Collection Undereye Brightener ($10.99 for 0.21 fl oz / 8 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade melon (peach) and then concealed using the KVD Beauty Good Apple Lightweight Full-Coverage Concealer ($30 for 0.33 fl oz / 10 ml of product at Sephora) in the shade Light 103 (fair skin with cool pink undertones). I set the under eyes using the Charlotte Tilbury Refillable Airbrush Flawless Finish Brightening Powder ($48 for 0.31 oz / 9 g of product at Sephora) in the shade fair/medium and the rest of my face using the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder ($36 for 0.98 oz / 28 g of product at Sephora) in the shade butter (fair/medium). I touched up the bronzer using Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzer ($35 for 0.28 oz / 8 g of product at Ulta and Sephora), my blush using the shade Booty (midtone magenta – matte) from the same eyeshadow palette I used to create this look, and my highlighter using Nabla Skin Glazing ($24 for 0.23 oz / 6.5 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Amnesia (golden champagne).
Booty (midtone magenta – matte)

I coated my upper lashes with 1 coat of Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara ($12.99 for 0.24 oz at Ulta) in the shade blackest black and the lower lashes in 2 coats of MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash Mascara ($26 for 0.19 oz of product at Ulta) in the shade intense black and then popped on a pair of Ardell Lash Faux Mink Wispies ($17.99 for a 4 pack at Ulta). For lipstick today I tested out the KVD Beauty Everlasting Hyperlight Vegan Transfer-Proof Liquid Lipstick in the shade Scorpiris (indigo blue)… I later swapped this for another shade… see final thoughts for the info. . I set my whole face using the LA Girl HD Pro Setting Finish Spray ($5.99 for 1 fl oz / 30 ml of product at Ulta).

This eye look is super flirty and punchy with color. I really loved the way the lipstick looked but it was just way too dry and pilled up like crazy so I did end up swapping it out.

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Beauty Blush Wands ($42 for 0.4 fl oz / 12 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade Pink Pop.
I give this blush a solid O+++!!! This blush is super pretty. It goes on light and builds up to full coverage without any problems. It doesn’t skip or move the other makeup products around and it doesn’t disappear when I powder my face. It’s that school girl crush flush of pink that is super adorable. This is a definite keeper.

KVD Good Apple Full-Coverage Transfer-Proof Vegan Serum Foundation ($42 for 1 fl oz / 30 ml of product at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Light 008 (fair skin with neutral undertones).
This foundation gets a solid O+++!!! and a stand ovation from me! I’ve been wearing it for 9 hours and I haven’t had to touch up once. It’s a demi matte that looks so natural I forgot I put it on and ended up putting on a second layer. The first layer was a decent medium coverage, the second was a high medium coverage and did not look cakey or heavy at all. Out of the 2 Good Apple foundations I prefer this one the best. Though both formulas have a 008 light, the one in this formula is a bit more neutral than the balm version… which had a slight peachy hue to it. This is one that if KVD should ever decide to discontinue it, I would surely stock up on it. Dare I say this might be the foundation I wear for my 50th birthday party.

KVD Good Apple Lightweight Full-Coverage Concealer ($30 for 0.33 fl oz / 10 ml of product at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Light 103 (fair skin with cool pink undertones).
I give this concealer a solid O-. This is a demi matte concealer with medium coverage buildable to high medium, however… if I apply a second coat I get creasing, with just 1 coat it covers what I need covered and doesn’t crease. It’s pretty but I prefer my concealers to be full coverage without having creasing. Still, I am happy to have this one in my collection and would repurchase should I run out.

Blend Bunny Lure 24 Pan Palette ($46 for 0.81 oz / 2.3 g of total product making it 0.0338 oz / 0.96 g and $1.92 per shade)… the blue row and the shades: folklore and lost at sea are being reviewed:
I give the blue row a solid O+++!!! – This row worked up beautifully. Each shade buffed out nicely and blended together with no skipping, fallout or patchiness. I also really enjoyed the shades Folklore (sage with a teal and silver flip – metallic) and Lost at Sea (very white heavy pastel teal – matte). So let’s talk about points…. Starting with the 1 off shades: since there are 24 shades in this palette in order for the palette to get a 100% score each shade must score 4.167 points in other words each shade row must has a 16.688 score to have the palette score 100%…
Folklore (sage with a teal and silver flip – metallic) is the metallic shade of the green row – it scored 4.167… the tones in this shade are delectable, the formula is smooth and easy to apply with minimal fallout and the longevity is perfection. Lost at Sea (very white heavy pastel teal – matte) is the lightest matte in the teal row – it’s a pastel and I assumed it would be dusty and have major fallout, nothing could be further from the truth…. this pastel teal was smooth, did not get patchy and played well with the other shades I give this one a score of 4.167 as well. Now on to the blue row….
Bioluminescent (true blue with a teal flip – metallic) has this unique shift to it where it goes on and at first it’s a mid-toned blue but in certain lighting it is lighter in shade and when looking straight on it has this sort of a wave of light through dark shimmer. It’s creamy and not flaky and really catches the light… I give this shade a score of 4.167. Catch Me (pastel blue – matte) is a shade that I thought would just be meh… it’s a pastel and I thought it would be a nightmare to blend out. It wasn’t it did stick to the primer a bit so I did need to work hard at first but once the primer wasn’t as sticky the blend was seamless, there was no kick back in the pan and it has just enough white pigment to be a pastel without being overly powdery blue…. I give this shade a score of 4.167. Explore (dusty true blue – matte) is a stunning shade in person. It’s sort of like seeing a true blue but like it was in the shade… it’s a little dusty in shade but not so much that it takes away from the fact that it’s a true blue, there was no kick back or fall out with this shade and it gave consistent color even after building up the shade… I give this color a score of 4.167. The Deep (deep true blue – matte) is smooth, there was some kick back but no fall out… this is to be expected with a deeper shade, if Explore is like seeing true blue in the shade, The Deep is like seeing true blue under direct sunlight. It’s vibrant, pigmented and rich in hue…. if I could give this a higher score I would… it earns a score of 4.167.
Today’s eyeshadow score total is 25.002, adding it to yesterday’s total score of 21.335, this palette so far has a total score of 46.337… 16 shades remain, I have decided to do a bonus look with the green row so that I can give a complete score to this palette… so far I am loving it and just want to make sure that I don’t short the palette any points.

KVD Beauty Everlasting Hyperlight Vegan Transfer-Proof Liquid Lipstick ($22 for 0.23 fl oz / 6.8 ml of product) in the shade Scorpiris (Indigo Blue – matte).
I give this shade a solid A-. I love this formula but in this shade it’s just not quite the same formula as the pink was. The pigmentation was a bit thinner so I had to add a second layer and then a little more to the middle of the lip. This made my lips feel drier than the air in Yuma Arizona. Then I tried to just top it with lip gloss, this was a mistake… the blue pigment bleed past the lip line, there were gaps on the lips where the blue pigment wouldn’t stay because of the gloss, and once the gloss wore off there was this horrible pilling that happened that just made it feel like I had cat litter on my lips… I ended up removing the lip and trying just 1 thin layer and then just lightly tapping a bit where the pigment was opaque… this still didn’t help so I took the lip color off and opted to use the Mouth Cloud Lipstick from Half Magic Cosmetics in the shade Excuse Me Sir (mid toned true blue) .

At the end of the day I think I can still make the KVD lipstick once I’m able to find a good blue lip or eye liner to use under it and for this reason I didn’t score it lower.

KVD Beauty Tattoo Pencil Liner Waterproof Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner ($23 for 0.0176 oz / 5 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Azurite Blue (vibrant cobalt).
I give this eyeliner a solid F-. I tried this liner on both my eyes and lips… this is the stiffest most uncomfortable liner I have ever owned. On the lips it felt like I had lined my lips with glue that had hardened and it actually tug at my water line so bad that I had to did a qtip in ice water and apply it to the area for relief, and it didn’t even lay pigment down. I have decluttered this line from my collection.

Well dolls.. that’s it for today’s walkthrough, pictorial and rapid fire review is done… thank’s for hanging out with me….

I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health. Remember… You are a force to be reckoned with and no one has the right, or power to take that from you, so hold your head high and know you are the type of badass that shakes all of hell to the core just knowing you are awake! 💋

Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
