Chop and Haul March Neutral Cut Crease Face of the Day

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going, great I hope. I’m doing well today. I had to take a few days to myself, I was battling a migraine and also low energy.

I’m back at it with my chop and haul series with episode #6 (episode #1 was a smokey purple eye look, episode #2 was a super glam blue eye look, episode #3 was a super cute mermaid inspired eye look, episode #4 was a very smokey cool toned eye look and episode #5 was a super pretty airy neutral eye look).

I’m still working with the Natasha Denona Glam Eyeshadow Palette ($69 for 0.67 oz / 18.99 g of total product making it 0.045 oz/ 1.27 g and $4.60 per shade at Ulta) and this will be the 2nd of 4 looks I’ll create with it, so far I’ve graded this palette a total of 21.4 points having used 4 shades. For today’s look I used 2 shades that I’ve already used and 2 shades that are new to me to test.

Time for the walk-through, pictorial and review for today’s face of the day….

Eyes and Brows:

I set my brows using Got 2 B Glued Spiking Glue ($7.99 at Ulta) and then filled them in using the Loreal Brow Stylist Definer ($9.49 for 0.003 oz / 0.085 g of product at Ulta) in the shade dark brunette. I cleaned my brows (arch side) using Maybelline Fit Me Concealer ($7.49 for 0.23 oz at Ulta) in the shade sand. I also cleaned the brows (brow bone side) and primed my whole eyelid space using the P.Louise Base ($13 for 0.5 fl oz on their website) in Rumour 0 (white).

WIth a fluffy crease brush I defined my crease and outer 1/3 of the mobile lids using the shade Blend – 326CM (cool sienna – matte).

using a short bullet crease brush I defined the lower part of my crease and the outer 1/2 of the outer 1/3 of the mobile lids with the shade Crease – 323CM (medium cool taupe – matte).

With a narrow crease brush I deepened the outer v of the crease with the shade Smoke – 325CM (medium cool brown – matte).

With a flat round nail brush and more of the P.Louise Base ($13 for 0.5 fl oz on their website) in Rumour 0 (white) I cut a new crease.

I then took a shader brush and the shade ur a faux (muted pale pink – matte) from the ColourPop Gone Matte Palette ($35 on their website) to set down the new crease.

I then applied the shade Inner Corner – 322K (peachy champagne – metallic) with a flat shader brush to the cut crease.

Over the lower lash line with a pencil brush I created a small drop shadow with the shade Blend – 326CM (cool sienna – matte).

I then darkened the lash line with a stiff pencil brush and the shade Smoke – 325CM (medium cool brown – matte).

I then went back in with the shade Blend – 326CM (cool sienna – matte) on the same pencil brush and buffed the lash line out and brought the drop shadow lower down.

Complexion:

I primed my face using the Maybelline FaceStudio Master Prime Hydrate + Smooth Primer ($10.99 for 1 fl oz / 30 ml of product at Ulta).  I contoured using the Milani Conceal & Perfect Face Lift Collection Liquid Contour ($10.99 for 0.2 fl oz / 8 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade Cocoa (deep brown). For foundations I tested out the Makeup Forever HD Skin Undetectable Longwear Foundation ($45 for 1.01 fl oz / 30 ml of product at Sephora) in the shade 1N06 Porcelain (for fair skin tones with neutral undertones). For cream bronzer I used the the Milani Conceal & Perfect Face Lift Collection Liquid Contour ($10.99 for 0.2 fl oz / 8 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade Ginger (warm taupe for light to medium), for cream highlighter I used the Milani Conceal & Perfect Face Lift Collection Liquid Highlighter ($10.99 for 0.21 fl oz / 8 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade Lunar (light champagne gold) and for my cream blush I tested out the Natasha Denona Rose Cheek Duo – Cream Blush and Highlighter ($20 for 0.141 oz / 3.99 g of product at Ulta). I skipped color correcting today and just concealed using the Essence Keep Me Covered Concealer ($4.99 for 0.11 fl oz / 3.5 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade #30 Alabaster (the 3rd lightest shade). I lightly set the undereyes with the Charlotte Tilbury Refillable Airbrush Flawless Finish Brightening Powder ($48 for 0.31 oz / 9 g of product at Sephora) in the shade fair/medium. For the rest of the face I set the bronzer using the Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzer ($35 for 0.28 oz / 8 g of product at Ulta and Sephora), the blush using the shade Akua (plum based deep berry – matte) from the Vanessa Eyeshadow Palette ($16 for 0.047 oz / 13.2 g of product making it 0.0078 oz, 2.2 g and $2.67 per shade) from Juvia’s Place and the highlighter using the  Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter ($25 for 0.098 oz / 2.8 g of product at Sephora) in the shade Exhilarate  (champagne gold). Once all of my cream complexion product s were set with their corresponding powder products I set the rest of the face using the Juvia’s Place Juvia’s Place I am Magic Powder Foundation ($18 for 0.31 oz / 9 g of product at Ulta) in  the shade Madrid (very light).

Lips, Lashes and Finishings:

I lined my lips using the NYX Suede Matte Velvet Vegan Lip Liner ($4 for 0.03 oz / 0.85 g of product at Ulta) in the shade Clinger (hot pink) I filled in the lips using the KVD Beauty Everlasting Hyperlight Vegan Transfer-Proof Liquid Lipstick ($23 for 0.23 fl oz / 7 ml of product at Sephora) in the shade Baneberry  (bright berry) and topped the lip off using the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer ($21 for 0.3 fl oz / 9 ml of product at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Sweet Mouth (shimmering soft pink). I coated my lashes in 2 coats of the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara ($12.99 for 0.24 oz at Ulta) in the shade blackest black and popped on a pair of the Ardell Lash Faux Mink Wispies ($17.99 for a 4 pack at Ulta).  I set my whole face using the LA Girl HD Pro Setting Finish Spray ($5.99 for 1 fl oz / 30 ml of product at Ulta).

Final Thoughts:

I just love how this palette gives all the glam with subtle shades. This look is soft and refined. I am very happy with the way it turned out.

Makeup Forever HD Skin Undetectable Longwear Foundation ($45 for 1.01 fl oz / 30 ml of product at Sephora) in the shade 1N06 Porcelain (for fair skin tones with neutral undertones).

This foundation is PERFECTION! The shade, the texture, the way it melts into the skin, I don’t feel like I have makeup on my face. It’s just so pretty. I can now feel ok letting go of the original formula (and let’s face it… it is most definitely time to pull an Elsa and let it go… way past the expiration date.) so I will be decluttering the original to make a spot available for newer foundations. I give this foundation a solid (but wish the scores went higher) O+++!!!.

Natasha Denona Rose Cheek Duo – Cream Blush and Highlighter ($20 for 0.141 oz / 3.99 g of product at Ulta).

I think this duo may have dried out a bit. It took some work to get the blush to appear on my brush. I did have to go in with a second layer and after I believe this one is best applied with a finger than a brush. I give this blush a solid A.

KVD Beauty Everlasting Hyperlight Vegan Transfer-Proof Liquid Lipstick ($23 for 0.23 fl oz / 7 ml of product at Sephora) in the shade Baneberry  (bright berry).

Another hit from the line! I love the way this one felt on my lips, not to dry or brittle and even though I topped it with a gloss, when the gloss wore out I applied more lipstick and there was no pilling, no cracking and did not feel heavy with the second layer. I give this lipstick a solid O+++!!!

Natasha Denona Glam Eyeshadow Palette ($69 for 0.67 oz / 18.99 g of total product making it 0.045 oz/ 1.27 g and $4.60 per shade at Ulta). I already scored the shades Inner Corner – 322K  with a 6.67 and Blend – 326CM (cool sienna – matte) with a 6.67

Inner Corner – 322K (peachy champagne – metallic) – already scored.

Blend – 326CM (cool sienna – matte) – already scored.

Crease – 323CM (medium cool taupe – matte) has just enough deepness to look amazing in the crease but is cool toned enough that you can use it for the outer v (with a pale nude wash of color all over the lids), or as liner or even to deepen the lower lashline. It was creamy and not at all hard to buff out. There was a bit of kick back in the pan but very little fallout on the face. I give Crease – 323CM a score of 6.67.

Smoke – 325CM (medium cool brown – matte) is such a pretty defining shade and it’s a cool toned shade! I never use cool tones to define my outer v because they almost always look ashen on me. This one was not at all ashy. It didn’t have fallout or kick back and buffed effortlessly. I give Smoke – 325CM a score of 6.67.

We started the day with this palette having a score of 21.14 and it earned 13.34 points today giving the palette a total score of 34.48.

Juvia’s Place Juvia’s Place I am Magic Powder Foundation ($18 for 0.31 oz / 9 g of product at Ulta) in  the shade Madrid (very light). I’ve already graded this powder foundation. But today was the first time I used it as not only a touch up powder (for the sides of my nose) but also to set my base. It worked so well that I am thinking this may be my new go to setting powder. Just a stunning, fine milled powder.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.

Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
