My Makeup Collection Vol. 5 The Bronzers

Published May 29, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope.

I’m back with Vol. 5 of my Makeup Collection Series … the rest of the series can be found:

Vol 1. The Primers

Vol 2. The Foundations Part 1

Vol. 2 The Foundations Part 2

Vol. 3 The Concealers

Vol. 4 The Helpers (Correctors, Mixers, and Contour)

Today we’re diving into my bronzer collection … Let’s do this…

The Powder Bronzers

Tarte Amazonian Clay Matte Waterproof Bronzer $30 for .32 ounces of product at Ulta and comes in 2 shades Park Ave Princess (light to medium skin tones) and Hotel Heiress (medium to deep skin tones) I have it in the shade Park Ave Princess (also note the bronzer you see here was their limited edition larger compact).

This product is billed as a  universally flattering and can be used to add warmth, sculpt, or give skin an all-over radiant glow that is ultrablendable, pigmented, and never patchy (even after hours of wear) bronzer leaves skin hydrated, balanced and radiant with an Amazonian clay-infused formula.

This is my newest acquisition to my collection in terms of powder bronzer. I had been eyeballing this one for a few years but just never pulled the trigger on purchasing it.

I finally picked it up because it had been offered in the limited edition larger pan. I’m so glad that I did finally buy it!

It’s pretty, is not too orange based and has this amazing glow to it that just adds that extra something to the skin that isn’t quite visible .. it’s one of those things you just can’t put your finger on … shhh the secret is the glow to this product.

BH Cosmetics Brilliance Bronzer $10 on their website and comes in 3 shades: Golden Gal (light skin tone), Bronze Babe (medium skin tone), and Coco Cutie (deep skin) and I have it in the shade Bronze Babe.

This one is billed as a silky, blendable formula that offers lightweight, buildable coverage with a satin finish that gives a lit-from-within glow all year long.

While I do like this bronzer I don’t reach for it as much because it does have some micro glitter in it and I just don’t like glitter on the face as much. However with that being said it’s a pretty bronzer that pulls very warm and not at all orange based…. it gives a more slightly sun burned bronze to the skin.

NYX Matte Bronzer $10 for .33 ounces of product at Ulta and comes in 3 shades … Light, Medium, and Deep. I have it in the shade Deep.

This one is billed as being perfect for that desired honey glow all year long while bringing definition to your facial features and enhancing bone structure for a refined, natural glow.

I originally had this is the medium shade but purchased the deeper shade because I prefer a deeper bronze rather than a more subtle bronze.

I really enjoy this bronzer … it’s the perfect undertone and lasts all day and never goes on patchy.

Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer $30 for .28 ounces of product at Ulta and Sephora and it comes in 4 shades: Lite (light), Original (medium), Caramel (medium deep), and Toasted (deep) and I have it in Original… also this is a mini (which runs around $17).

This one is billed as being perfect for getting a natural-looking tan all year long.

I only have it in a mini because I also have it in a face trio so I didn’t want to purchase the full sized until I’ve used it up in both the mini (which was a gift) and the face trio … once I’ve used it up in the trio I will be purchasing the shade Caramel.

This is one of those hyped up products that actually surpasses the hype.

It’s got the perfect tone and gives you a natural looking tan to the skin.

ColourPop Pressed Powder Bronzer $8 for .25 ounces of product on their website: Part of the Coconut Collection and comes in 2 shades Coconut Beach (neutral golden bronze) and Talk to the Palm (neutral warm bronze) and I have it in the Talk to the Palm shade. There are also 4 other shades in their single pans.

This one is billed as having a formula that contains super velvety-soft powders which provide a natural tanned glow. it also contains spherical light-diffusing powders which roll over the skin and allow for even application, smooth blending, and prevents a dry or “cakey” look.

Like the Tarte Amazonian Clay Matte Waterproof Bronzer this one also gives that “Can’t place my finger on it” glow to the skin but much more subtlety.

This is another one that just has that perfect tone to it.

MAC Bronzing Powder $30 for .35 ounces of product on the MAC website and in MAC stores and comes in 4 shades : Bronze, Golden, Matte, and Refined Gold and I have it in the shade Matte.

This one is billed as a powder that gives skin sheer, natural color.

This is my most subtle bronzer ever. I typically have to build this one up 3 or 4 times to get strong color payoff, however I enjoy that it’s sheer… I can never over do it with this one and it lasts all day.

Malibu Glitz Face Powder in Toasted was $1 on the Shop Miss A website but is no longer sold.

This one is a face powder in a deeper shade than mine and is subtle and has a sheen to it.

I purchased it for my full face of shop miss a products post. It’s pretty decent and I do reach for it every now and again.

Makeup Geek Bronze Luster $9.99 on their website and comes in 6 shades ranging from light to deep skin tones. I have it in the shade called SunKissed.

This one is billed as a combination of silky mineral pigments with a delicate pearl powder to wrap your skin in a radiant, healthy Bronze Luster.

This on is super glowy but has the perfect contour colored bronze. This one was discontinued do to rebranding however has since been released.

This is another one that I can’t over do it with because it’s on the sheerer side.

Rimmel London Waterproof Natural Bronzer $3.99 for .49 ounces of product sold at Target in 2 shade Sunlight (deeper bronze) and Sun Shine (medium bronze) and I have it in the shade Sun Shine. It is sold in 2 deeper shades at other stores.

This one is billed as Natural bronzer with minerals for a sun kissed glow.

This is a pretty good bronzer for the price point and lasts all day

Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer $15.99 for .38 ounces of product at Ulta and comes in 6 shades ranging from lite bronze all the way to deep bronze and I have it in the original shade just called Bronze.

This one is billed as an ultra-luxurious bronzer infused with Murumuru Butter, delivering a radiant Brazilian goddess glow that features ultra-refined pearl and soft-focus pigments that smooth skin texture, brighten skin tone and deliver a gorgeous bronze finish.

I love the smell of this bronzer!!! I mean anyone who has this bronzer does but it just reminds me of the beach.

It’s got great pigmentation and tone and a sheen.

I do have to be careful with how much I apply of this one because it can get a bit muddy on me … if I were to repurchase this one I would pick it up in the shade Brazilian Glow as that one is a bit less orange based and is more red based.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Face Powder $36 for .35 ounces of product at Ulta and is sold in 14 shades however only 1 of those shades is a bronzer …. that is the famous Give Me Sun (a light summer peach tan).

This one is billed as a luxurious, slow-baked domed face powder with low-level pearlized pigments that provide a dimensional yet natural-satin finish.

I purchased this one because awhile ago I saw a video that Jaclyn Hill did where she used this one and it just looked so pretty I just had to have it.

It’s a tad orange based but in a way that works against my skin tone but it gives the prettiest lilt to the skin.

J Cat Beauty Golden Soleil Baked Bronzer $7.99 for .53 ounces of product at Ulta and comes in 4 shades: Coconut Island, Cyprus Clay, Cancun Golden Tan, and Bora Bora Beach and I have it in the shade Cancun Golden Tan.

This one is billed as being able to wake up the skin and provides flawless, natural color with a radiant, healthy glow. Infused with radiance-boosting minerals, these baked pigments sweep on weightless for natural-looking color with fine pigments are carefully blended and slowly cooked to achieve a unique, airy texture that effortlessly blends. Golden Soleil Baked Bronzer can be used wet or dry for light to heavy application of color.

This was the bronzer that sparked my love for bronzers with a sheen. This one is super glowy with there not being any glitter what so ever.

Milani Baked Bronzer $8.99 for .25 ounces of product at Ulta and comes in 3 shades: Dolce, Soleil, and Glow and I have it in the shade Dolce.

This one is billed as being crafted on Italian terracotta tiles for a warm, beautiful glow with a delicate shimmer finish.

This bronzer reminds me of their Luminoso blush in that it has that same type of satin glow to the product.

This bronzer is super pretty for any occasion.

Pixi Beauty Bronzer $18 for .36 ounces of product on their website at Target and also sold on Amazon and comes in 2 shades : a lighter shade called Subtly Sun Touched and a deeper shade called Summertime … I own Summertime (it also came with a kabuki brush …which sucked so I threw it away).

This one is billed as a silky, perfectly-pigmented bronzer that perks up skin tone while looking natural.

It’s a highly shimmery bronzer that has no glitter and has a wonderful slightly sunburned undertone to it.

On days that I wear this one I wear absolutely no highlighter because that would be way too much with this bronzer …. in fact on days that I wear this bronzer I also pair it with a matte foundation for the same reasons.

Makeup Bronzer Reloaded $7 for .53 ounces of product at Ulta and their website and comes in 3 shades : Long Weekend, Romantic Holiday, and Take a Vacation (only offered in 1 shade at Ulta) and I have the shade Take a Vacation.

It’s billed as a pearlized powder will enhance dark skin tones with a sun kissed appearance.

I’ve already reviewed this one so I wont go too far into it …. I’ll just say this is a super gorgeous bronzer!

Flower Beauty Heatwave Luminous Bronzer $9 on their website and comes in 2 shades: Sun Rise (lighter) and Sun Swept (darker) and I have Sun Swept.

This one is billed as blending effortlessly for a warm, luminous look with matte and shimmering powders swirled together for a lit-from-within ambient glow.

This one has the perfect shine! It’s a glow to the skin and not shimmer and it just seems to melt into the skin so perfectly.

The Cream Bronzers:

Tart SEA Breezy Cream Bronzer $29 for .56 ounces of product at Sephora and comes in 2 shades: Seychelles (light) and Grace Bay (deep) and I have it in the shade Grace Bay.

This one is billed as a vegan, waterproof, buildable cream bronzer that applies as a cream and dries down to a natural-looking, matte finish and applies effortlessly for the perfect just-back-from-the-beach glow.

For the longest time the only cream bronzer I ever used was the one from Chanel … I had tried other cream bronzers and never liked them, until this little baby came into my life!

The SEA Breezy Bronzer blew the Chanel bronzer out of the water for me! I had to force myself to put it away because I couldn’t stop using it.

It’s tone and texture are just pure heaven, the longevity is impeccable and the ease with which it applies is unparalleled.

If I could recommend 1 bronzer to you from my full collection … this would be the one I would! It’s very user friendly, perfect for all skin tones, and doesn’t disrupt the products underneath. It’s also a good product for even oily skin.

Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel (discontinued and replaced with Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream ) in the shade BRONZE UNIVERSEL.

This one is billed as a lightweight cream-gel face bronzer with a velvet-matte finish that enhances skin with a sun-kissed glow.

While I haven’t tried the 2.0 version of this product, I can imagine that it’s probably the same (as I have read many blog posts on the newer formula and the general consensus is that it’s pretty much the same just an update version).

I really love the original it’s creamy yet velvety all at the same time. The warmth of the tone of this one is sublime and it just looks perfected on the skin …. however, unlike the Tarte SEA Breezy Bronzer, it can disrupt the products underneath so I always recommend applying a little at a time with a small synthetic face brush and blending it in with a damp beauty sponge.

NYX Wonder Stick $12 for .28 ounces of product at Ulta and comes in 4 shades : Light, Medium, Deep, and Universal and I have it in the shade Medium. (On the NYX website there are 2 more deeper skin tone shade available)

This one is billed as a dual-ended highlighter and contouring stick. With its creamy finish, the Wonder Stick conceals, highlights and contours with ease for a naturally sculpted look.

When I first swatched this contour stick I knew there was no way this would work as a contour for me so I’ve been using it as a cream bronzer instead…. and I have purchased the deep shade to try it as a contour (currently in the mail).

It’s a great bronzer for when you don’t want full coverage bronzer but don’t want a subtle wash a bronze either. This one falls somewhere square in the middle and is pretty good for natural makeup days.

bareMinerals barePro Glow Bronzer $29 for .47 fluid ounces of product at Ulta and at Ulta comes in 2 shades: Faux Tan (sun-kissed bronze best for fair to medium skin tones) and Warmth (terracotta bronze best for medium to deep skin tones) and I have it in the shade Warmth.

This one is billed as a versatile liquid bronzer that provides sheer, natural-looking color that lasts up to 16 hours. A clean, bi-phase formula with light-reflecting mineral pearls provides sheer, natural-looking color that flatters any skin tone.

I haven’t tried this one yet. I was going to use it this week for the first time however I am still having a Fibro flare and haven’t been out of bed in 3 days so I will have to give it a go once I’m feeling better.

What I do know is that this one is super liquidity and super sheer. Now I did look it up on YouTube and that swatch video this product has a bit more body to it and is a bit more opaque than that I have.. so I am wondering if I need to shake it up a bit longer to get it mixed up or not…. I’ll have to update you when I’m able to play around with it a bit.

Juvia’s Place Shade Stick Foundation $16 for .34 ounces at Ulta and comes in  in 30 shades (10 for deeper skin, 10 for mid tone skin, and 10 for fair to light skin) and I have it in the shade Guinea (for dark skin with neutral cool undertones).

This one is billed as a full coverage natural, multipurpose long lasting foundation stick that is full coverage and a weightless multipurpose formula that glides on seamlessly to cover imperfections, while giving full definition to face

I know technically this is a foundation, however I did purchase a deeper shade so that I can use it as a cream bronzer.

I already reviewed this one in one of my last Face of the Day posts so I won’t bore you, I’ll just simply say I really do like this one and that I’m happy it’s part of my collection.

Well, that’s all for now dolls. Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned for the next installment in this series ….

I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits and health.

Remember dolls …. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO

My Makeup Collection Vol. 4 The Helpers (correctors, mixers, and contour)

Published May 28, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope.

I’m back with Vol. 4 of my Makeup Collection Series … the rest of the series can be found:

Vol 1. The Primers

Vol 2. The Foundations Part 1

Vol. 2 The Foundations Part 2

Vol. 3 The Concealers

Today we’re diving into my under eye correctors, foundation mixers, and the one and only cream contour I will every use …. collection … Let’s do this…

Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate $12 on their website and at Target.

It comes in 2 shades: Brightening Peach (for fair to light skin tones) and Awakening Apricot (for medium to deep skin tones). I have it in the Brightening Peach shade.

It’s billed as being able to instantly erases darkness, softens and blurs lines.

When I first bought this one I didn’t like it because it always made my concealer crease. I then realized I just need the very lightest of taps into the product to get it to work for me and now I love it.

It’s creamy and pigmented and leaves the under eye looking wide awake. This has just enough pigment to color correct the under eye but is sheer enough to allow for wearing it alone…. I can wear it on no makeup days.

Believe Beauty Brighten Up Color Correcting Concealer $4 only at Dollar General stores.

It’s offered in 2 shades light/medium and medium/deep and I have it in the shade light/medium.

It’s billed as being designed to enhance and brighten under eyes as a creamy blendable formula that camouflages discoloration.

This one is super creamy and is just a hint pinker than it is peach but it brightens the under eye beautifully.

Because it has that hint of pink in it I can’t wear this one on it’s own for no makeup days but it’s perfect enough for no makeup – makeup days with a light coverage concealer.

Tarte Colored Clay CC Undereye Corrector $25 at Ulta.

It comes in 2 shades Light/Medium and Medium/Tan (but this one is deep enough for deeper skin tones) and I have it in the shade Light/Medium.

This one is billed as being able to instantly masks undereye discolorations and dark circles while improving the appearance of skin tone and texture over time with a full coverage.

This one dethroned my Bobbi Brown Undereye Corrector. Ever since testing this one out a few years back I have never repurchased the Bobbi Brown one again. Out of the 3 correctors I own this is my favorite one.

It’s creamy and brightens the under eye beautifully, this one isn’t a no makeup day corrector because it’s high coverage.

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand $38 at Sephora and on the Beautylish website.

It’s offered in fair/light and medium/deep I chose the shade medium/deep.

It’s billed as a soft-focus, semi-matte contour that is  treated pigments with good adherence and color uniformity that create shadows and define features for a natural finish.

I always avoided cream contour and bronzers until I wanted to do a full face of Charlotte Tilbury and tried this cream contour and saw that it was easy to apply and blended out effortlessly.

This cream contour is beautiful. It’s made me venture into the world of all things cream … blushes, bronzers, and other contours .. I still haven’t found another cream contour that I like as much as this one.

Nyx Pro Foundation Mixer $10 (can be found on Amazon… this line has been discontinued).

The shades I have are (from left to right of the second picture) Warm, Olive, Dark, and White.

These mixers are easy to use… simply add a few drops into the foundation that needs to be adjusted.

These mixers do not change the formula of the foundations it’s just simply pure pigments.

Well dolls … that’s all for now … Hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits and health.

Remember dolls … Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

My Makeup Collection Vol. 3 The Concealers

Published May 28, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope.

I’m back with Vol. 3 of my Makeup Collection Series … the rest of the series can be found:

Vol 1. The Primers

Vol 2. The Foundations Part 1

Vol. 2 The Foundations Part 2

Today we’re diving into my concealer collection … Let’s do this ….

The Balm Time Balm Concealer $18 for .26 ounces of product on their website and is offered in 9 colors with 4 shades for deeper skin tones… I have the shade Light Medium.

This concealer is billed as a unique, anti-wrinkle concealer infused with vitamins A, C, E and Panthenol and has an ultra-smooth formula that works around the clock to reduce the look of fine lines, dark circles, puffiness, sunspots, redness.

This is a great little concealer pot! I just lightly tap my concealer brush into the pot and the little bit that I pick up is enough for both eyes.

It’s a smooth velvety texture that doesn’t crease and I can even get away without setting this one on days when all I’m wearing is a bit of bb cream.

This is a long wearing concealer that is matte but it’s got the look of a satin finished concealer.

Unlike most potted matte concealers this one isn’t too drying or thick. It just has the perfect constancy.

NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer $30 for .21 ounces of product at Sephora and comes in 16 shades with 6 shades for deeper skin tones and I have it in the shade Medium 1 Custard (for medium skin with neutral undertones).

It’s billed as a full-coverage, oil-free concealer that conceals and blurs imperfections with a soft-matte, natural-looking finish.

This really is a nice concealer but I can not use it on my under eyes, it’s too drying and also creases like crazy.

I actually use this one as an eyeshadow base and to carve out my brow line.

Joah Truly Yours Dark Circle Concealer $8.50 for .24 fluid ounces of product on their website and comes in 11 shades (none for deeper skin tones (K Beauty tends to be on the lighter end of the spectrum) and I have it in the Neutralizer shade.

This is billed as a lightweight and oil control formula instantly erases dark circles and fine lines with a buildable full coverage and an easy to blend matte finish.

This really doesn’t neutralize my under eyes but it does like good under the eyes.

It does crease if I don’t set it straight away.

It’s not the longest wearing concealer but it’s an OK concealer.

Revolution Conceal & Define Supersized Conceal and Define $10 for .45 fluid ounces of product on their website and is offered in 24 shades with 10 shades for deeper skin tones and I have it in the shade C 6.5 (light/medium skin tones with a yellow undertone).

It’s billed as a lightweight yet full coverage concealer  with a matte finish that wont settle or accentuate fine lines and pores.

This one reminds me of the Tarte Shape Tape (except it’s not as dry or as thick).

This one is super pigmented and I have to be careful that I don’t use more than 2 dots because a little goes a long long looooooooooooooooooooooong way.

It’s pretty good and lasts all day.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer $30 for .22 fluid ounces of product at Ulta and Sephora and is offered in 30 shades with 8 shades for deeper skin tones and I am in the shade Medium 1 Custard.

It’s billed as a multi-action, 16-hour formula that instantly masks imperfections, blurs the look of lines and wrinkles, and hides dark circles and signs of fatigue.

This is a creamy satin concealer that looks amazing on the under eye area, it does however crease if you do not set it right away.

ELF Hydrating Camo Concealer $6 .203 fluid ounces of product at Ulta and comes in 25 shades with 8 shades for deeper skin tones and I have it in the shade Light Sand.

It’s billed as a  full-coverage, hydrating, long wearing concealer featuring a large doe foot applicator to conceal, correct, contour and highlight for flawless skin. The highly pigmented formula is lightweight with a satin finish that won’t settle into fine lines or creases. Ideal for all skin types, but great for dry skin.

I enjoy this one better than the original Camo concealer.

It does oxidize a little and does crease just a tad so I wait until the end of my makeup application so that I can powder it straight away.

J Cat Beauty Staysurance Water-Sealed, Zero Smudge Concealer $7.99 for .33 ounces of product at Ulta and is offered in 16 shades with 6 shades for deeper skin tones and I have it in the shade Custard.

It’s billed as a medium to full coverage concealer that delivers buildable coverage without creasing or caking while creating a hydrated and flawless look. This light-weight, yet long lasting concealer combats dark circles, redness and any imperfection with 3 key ingredients. Peach leaf extract protects and repair skin while it contains anti-aging property. Tea tree leaf extract helps treat acne and reduce under-eye dark circles. Lastly, aloe vera leaf extract moisturize and prevent dark spots. Staysurance Concealer is an all-in-one concealer with skin benefits that is made in South Korea.

I really like this concealer. It never cakes up and as long as I go in with a light hand it doesn’t crease either. It’s super pigmented so a few dots is all that’s needed.

ColourPop No Filter Concealer $7 for .14 fluid ounces of product on their website and comes in 30 shades with 10 shade for light, medium, and dark shades and I am in the shade Medium 20 (mid toned cool neutral).

It’s billed as being able to instantly conceal, cover, correct and contour with this long wearing, full coverage natural matte concealer. the lightweight blendable formula applies smoothly and seamlessly covers dark circles, blemishes, redness and discoloration with one swipe.

I don’t get the hype surrounding this concealer…. for me it’s just an OK concealer.

This one does oxidize so I wish I would have purchased it in a lighter shade.

NYX Born to Glow Radiant Concealer $9 for .14 fluid ounces of product at Ulta and comes in 24 shades with 9 shades for deeper skin tones and I am in the shade Fair.

It’s billed as a micro pearl-infused illuminating concealer that blurs imperfections adding instant radiance and brightening the appearance of a dull complexion.

Dolls!!! I freaking love this concealer!! Love, love, love, love LOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEE!!!!

It leaves the under eye area looking dewy and radiant and perfected. It never gets cakey and does crease at first but once you bump the creases out and set it lightly with powder it stays perfect all day.

L’Oreal Infallible Full Wear Waterproof Concealer $13.49 for .33 fluid ounces of product at Ulta and comes in 24 shades with 7 shades for deeper skin tones and I am in the shade 360 Cashmere.

It’s billed as having full-on coverage and full-face wear for up to 24 hours with their highest coverage formula  providing full coverage with a flawless matte finish that’s waterproof, non-greasy formula won’t transfer, fade, or flake.

This concealer is the perfect concealer for the Florida heat! It stays put all day and only needs the lightest dusting of powder.

This one is another drug store dupe for the Tarte Shape Tape.

Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer $22 for .17 ounces of product at Ulta and Sephora and comes in 14 shades with 5 shades for deeper skin tones and I have it in the shade No. 3 (Light with Neutral Undertones).

It’s a multi-purpose full coverage liquid concealer that hides it all, from dark under eye circles to blemishes & discoloration that is lightweight & doesn’t cake, crack, or settle into fine lines.

I love this concealer!!! I have never not loved my under eyes when I’m wearing this concealer.

Tart Shape Tape Concealer $27 for .33 fluid ounces of product at Ulta and comes in 30 shades with 10 shades for light, medium, and deep skin tones and I have the shade Light Medium Honey.

This is billed as a full-coverage formula infused with tape technology instantly helps brighten, smooth & give the skin a firmer, more lifted look.

I really only ever use this one as an eyeshadow base. I never use it as a concealer…. it’s just too thick for my under eyes.

Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer $29 for .5 fluid ounces of product at Ulta and comes in 35 shades with 14 shades for deeper skin tones and I have it in the shade Vanilla.

It’s billed as a hydrating, full-coverage, weightless 4-in-1 concealer that conceals, contours, highlights, and retouches. Smooths and sculpts skin for natural-looking coverage. Infused with coconut water, alpine rose, and hyaluronic acid, these skin-loving ingredients come together for crease-free, weightless wear that’s so naturally flawless.

Like I’ve said countless time before I absolutely adore the Born This Way line….. this concealer is no surprise that I would love it.

It’s creamy and highly pigmented and full coverage and just heaven in a tube.

Believe Beauty You’re Covered Liquid Concealer $4 for .28 fluid ounces of product sold only at Dollar General stores and comes in 5 shades with only 1 shade that can match our light skinned ebony beauties …. (again … DO BETTER MAKEUP COMPANIES!!!! DO BETTER!) and I have it in the shade Light Beige.

It’s billed as a highly-pigmented concealer that visibly brightens under eye darkness and tired lines with natural coverage.

This one is a spot on dupe for the Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer (which makes me a happy camper because sad to say …. the Naturally Radiant Concealer has been discontinued.).

This one is creamy and a natural finish. Not overly pigmented but works well with a corrector under it.

Makeup Forever HD Invisible Cover Concealer (discontinued) I have it in the shade R22.

This is a full coverage demi-matte finish concealer with high pigment.

This is my favorite concealer and I’m so bummed that it was discontinued so I use this one sparingly … only when I really need my eyes to be flawless.

Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer (discontinued) I have it in the shade Light/Medium.

I can’t believe this one was discontinued! It is so radiant, so dewy, and so beautiful with medium coverage and a satin finish. This is my second favorite concealer out of my collection.

ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Creamy Concealer $9 for .30 fluid ounces of product at Ulta and comes in 27 shades with 7 for deeper skin tones and I have it in the shade 83C.

It’s billed as a creamy, cushiony, full coverage concealer that seamlessly blends into the skin leaving a natural, fresh finish.

Out of the 2 ColourPop concealers I own I prefer this one more but again …. it’s just an OK concealer… nothing special here and I find that even after powdering it it can crease at times.

Milani Retouch + Erase Light-Lifting Concealer $8.99 for .24 ounces of product at Ulta and it comes in 7 shades with 3 for deeper skin tones and I have it in the shade 03 medium light (the shades in this range run a bit yellow).

It’s billed as designed to instantly hide dark circles, spots, blemishes and imperfections with a brightening effect. Formulated with a weightless face perfecting light technology to achieve flawless color correction while leaving a smooth, undetectable finish.

I haven’t used this one long enough to know what I think about it but from the few times that I have used it I haven’t had any complaints.

It’s lightweight and blends easy but is a light coverage concealer.

Pixi by Petra Pat Away Concealing Base $16 for .13 fluid ounces on their website and comes in 6 shades with 2 shades for darker skin tones and I am in the shade Nude.

It’s billed as being elastic and long-wearing with powerful antioxidant protection and concentrated yet skin-like and buildable for full coverage.

I like this one a lot. It gives a fresh faced glow to the under eyes however …. there is no way this one can be full coverage.

BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Total Coverage Concealer $6 for .35 fluid ounces product on their website and comes in 21 shades with 6 shades for deeper skin tones and I have it in the shade 111 Medium with Neutral undertones.

It’s billed as an opaque liquid-creme that gives the appearance of perfect skin that also comes in 4 color correcting tones.

Every time I use this one it reminds me of another concealer that I have tried but I can never put my finger on it but I do like this concealer.

It’s a medium coverage satin finish concealer.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Breathable Concealer $4.97 for .23 fluid ounces of product at Target and Walmart and comes in 6 shades with 2 for deeper skin tones and I am in the shade 200 light.

It’s billed as a medium coverage concealer with 27 hours of coverage.

This was one of the concealers that was on the chopping block last week….I’ve used a few times and it doesn’t blow my socks off but it is an OK concealer.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer (discontinued) I have it in the shade Medium Light Neutral.

This is a serum based concealer that is full coverage and a satin finish. Here is another one that I truly wish was never discontinued. It’s my go to concealer for light makeup days.

Joah Wand Me Up Perfecting Concealer $6.50 for .26 fluid ounces of product on their website and it (again because it’s K beauty) does not come in deeper skin tones, there are 5 shades and I have the shade Ivory.

It’s billed as a natural coverage wand concealer hides imperfections and leaves skin looking flawless with buildable coverage that’s lightweight & breathable and easy to blend.

Out of all the Joah products I purchased for my review this is my favorite product from the collection. It’s a nice concealer, pretty pigmented and full coverage.

AOA Studio Paw Paw Liquid Concealer $1.55 for .34 fluid ounces of product on the Shop Miss A website and comes in 13 shades with 8 shades for deeper skin tones and I have it in 2 shades this one is light ivory.

It’s billed as a super creamy and medium to full coverage concealer. This concealer lasts all day without settling into fine lines.

I can’t believe this concealer is under $2!!! It’s a beautiful full coverage concealer and a very little goes a very long way.

Flower Beauty Light Illusion Full Coverage Concealer $9.99 for .22 fluid ounces of product at Ulta and it comes in 6 colors and only comes in 1 deep shade (which is no where deep enough for our deeper skin beauties). I have it in the shade L3-4 Light

It’s billed as a soft-focus blurring concealer with a high performance coverage, a weightless concealer that provides dark circle diffusing illumination with FLOWER Beauty’s exclusive blurring pigments, and is a high coverage concealer it imparts a subtle radiance as it conceals imperfections.

This is a beautiful concealer. I have loved the way my under eyes look every time I use it.

Catrice Beauty Liquid Camouflage Concealer $5.99 for .17 fluid ounces of product at Ulta and comes in 17 shades and 1 corrective shade with 5 deeper skin tones and I have it in the shade 005 Light Natural.

It’s billed as offering optimal coverage without drying out the skin that’s highly-pigmented, waterproof and lasts for hours.

This one is hit or miss for me …. most times I use this one it works out good but there have been a hand full of times that this one was a creasey mess.

AOA Studio Paw Paw Liquid Concealer $1.55 for .34 fluid ounces of product on the Shop Miss A website and comes in 13 shades with 8 shades for deeper skin tones and I have it in 2 shades this one is buff.

It’s billed as a super creamy and medium to full coverage concealer. This concealer lasts all day without settling into fine lines.

I can’t believe this concealer is under $2!!! It’s a beautiful full coverage concealer and a very little goes a very long way.

L’oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Concealer $9.99 for .21 fluid ounces of product at Ulta and it comes in 8 shades with 2 shades for deeper skin tones and I have it in the shade 01 Classic Ivory.

It’s billed as providing glowing coverage for up to 16 hours and as being a lightweight, ultra-blendable radiant formula with buildable coverage.

Like the foundation …. this concealer is high medium coverage and very radiant. It needs to be set because it really emollient.

Private Society Coveted Concealer $22 on their website and comes in 12 shades with 6 shades for deeper skin tones and I have it in the shade medium.

It’s billed as a silky, buildable concealer with light to medium coverage, and a platinum primer infused formula that is crease resistant and long-wearing.

This was one of the concealers on the chopping block last week. I’ve tried it out a few times and I guess I like it. It’s got good pigmentation and covers pretty good … there’s nothing special about it other than that.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Concealer $32 for .13 fluid ounces of product at Sephora and comes in 16 shades with 6 shades for deeper skin tones and I have it in 2 shades this one is 3 Fair (neutral beige for light skin with neutral undertones).

It’s billed as a full-coverage, long-lasting, dark-circle-diminishing, color-correcting concealer with a natural finish.

I love this concealer! It’s beautiful. I have never had a bad under eye day anytime I’ve worn it. I love the formula of this one so much I have it in my skin tone and my under eye tone.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Concealer $32 for .13 fluid ounces of product at Sephora and comes in 16 shades with 6 shades for deeper skin tones and I have it in 2 shades this one is 5.5 Medium.

Juvia’s Place I Am Magic Concealer $14 for .34 fluid ounces of product at Ulta and comes in 24 shades with 13 shades for deeper skin tones and I have it in the shade J23 (for fair skin with neutral undertones).

It’s billed as full coverage and bendable with just one application. Evens and blurs out skin imperfections. Infused with Amino Acid treated pigments, to help increase intensity of color without a heavy after feel.

This one is a very pigmented product that only needs the slightest amount for coverage. I used 1 dab and 1 tiny dot to completely cover my under eyes.

Their website claims this is weightless… It is to an extent. I don’t feel it under my eyes but it is super thick (thicker than the Tarte Shape Tape).

It’s just the right formula of creaminess. It doesn’t sink into the fine lines and it set beautifully.

Down side is it does emphasize some texture under my eyes.

Well dolls …. that’s it for my concealer collection …. stay tuned for the next installment of my Makeup Collection series.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits and health…

Remember dolls … save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

My Makeup Collection Vol. 2 The Foundations Part 2

Published May 28, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

Hey doll hey!!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope … I’m back with vol. 2 of my makeup collection (Vol. 1 of my makeup collection was my Primer Collection) … grab a snack and settle in this one is a long one … I have a ton of foundation …. So I will be doing this in 2 parts …. (Part 1 of the foundations is already live on the blog)

*Note: I apply all my foundations with a beauty sponge … I never use a foundation brush… however there are a few of these foundations I can get away with applying with my figures …. typically the bb cc and tinted moisturizers*

So let’s jump on in ….

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Foundation $39 for 1 fluid ounce at Sephora and on the Tarte website and it comes in 30 shades with 10 shades for deeper skin and I am in the shade 22 S Light Sand (light skin with yellow undertones) but I think if I ever purchase this one again I will go for the shade 22N Light Neutral.

It’s billed as a hypoallergenic, vegan foundation that delivers powerful pollution defense and weightless, buildable coverage that looks naturally flawless.

They claim this is a medium coverage with a naturally-radiant finish. This is actually a very light weight light to buidlable medium coverage. It does have this pretty radiance to it.

This is another one that I really love the way my skin looks in. So radiant and dewy.

This one is a must set foundation there is no way this foundation will last any length of time without a powder.

This one is also not for oil skinned people…. this one is too emollient for oily skin.

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation $50 for 1 fluid ounce at Sephora and is billed as a water-based, oil-free foundation that delivers undetectable coverage and a fresh, hydrated glow for the most natural skin-like finish.

It comes in 22 shades with 13 shades for deeper skin tones and I am in the shade Beige 3 (medium beige with neutral undertones; for light to medium skin) however I think the shade Sand 2 (light beige with neutral undertones; for fair to light skin) would suite me better.

I have a love/hate relationship with this foundation. There are days this foundation is amazing and then other days that it just doesn’t want to set down and slips all over the place. This is another one of those foundations that refuses to stick to the sides of nose.

I would love to try it in the Sand shade but this price tag is just not worth it for this foundation.

Armani Power Fabric Longwear High Cover Foundation $64 for 1 fluid ounce of product at Sephora and is billed as liquid foundation that delivers a natural velvet-matte finish and SPF 25 for up to 16 hours of full coverage and the anti-aging effects of daily sunscreen and is made with patented Micro–fil™ technology with pigments that lay flat for seamless blending and layering and a flawless, natural-matte finish.

This foundation comes in 30 shades with 10 shades for deeper skin tones and I have this is the shade 5.5 (medium skin with neutral undertone) but I wish I would have had it in the shade 3.5 (fair skin with neutral undertone) but I purchased at a time when I was super tan. It’s not way too deep for me but I do have to fuss with it a bit to get it to work for me now.

I love this foundation … because of the price tag I use it sparingly because I love it so much I don’t want to have repurchase it at this price tag.

It’s velvety and smoothing and full coverage and it’s a matte but it’s a comfortable matte that I can even get away with using in the winter time.

BH Cosmetics Naturally Flawless Foundation $9.50 for 1 fluid ounce of product on the BH website and comes in 20 shades with 9 shades for deeper skin tones I have it in the shade 208 medium beige (a perfect match for me).

This foundation is billed as having Hyaluronic Acid to lock moisture in giving a soft focus look with a medium to full undetectable coverage that leaves the skin with a luminous appearance with an ultra light weight coverage.

This foundation is pretty and lasts a very long time. I get tons of complements anytime I wear this foundation.

Believe Beauty Skin Finish Foundation $5 for .85 fluid ounces only at Dollar General Stores and comes in 11 shades with 4 shades for deeper skin tones and I am in the shade Nude.

It’s billed as a medium to full coverage foundation blends effortlessly for a flawless look. Its blendable formula blurs imperfections while smoothing your skin.

The claims on this one are true… every last one! This is a freaking amazing foundation!!! I can’t believe it’s only $5 because everything from the bottle to the product feels super lux.

This is another one that is one of my favorite foundations and it’s another one that does need to be set , however you do have some time with out there being any slip if you choose not to set this one ….. I’m able to get a good 4 hours before I have to bounce the foundation out with a sponge on days where I choose to not set it.

This one remains radiant even under a matte powder.

A beautiful …. beautiful foundation and if you are able to get your hands on it I highly recommend it.

J Cat Beauty HD Perfection Skinsealer Foundation $8.99 for .85 fluid ounces of product on their website and is billed as a flawless, full coverage foundation that gives the skin the most beautiful natural finish.

It comes in 10 shades with 4 shades for deeper skin … I chose the shade warm honey but I wish I would have Sweet Buff because the shade I have is way too orange I have to use my foundation mixers to get a shade that will work with my skin tone.

I also just don’t enjoy this one as much as I did the first time I tried it. It’s a tacky foundation that just doesn’t set down even with powder.

I’ll use this one up but I don’t see myself repurchasing this one.

L’Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear 24HR Foundation $14.99 for 1 fluid ounce of product at Ulta as is billed as a longwear foundation with breathable-skin medium-to-full buildable coverage that lasts all day and allows the skin to breathe.

It comes in 30 shades with 10 shades for deeper skin tones and I am in the shade 420 pure beige (which is a perfect match for me).

This is a freaking amazing foundation! It’s a satin full coverage foundation that never feels like you are wearing anything. It’s just the perfect drug store foundation. It does need to be set down but that doesn’t take away from the radiance that this foundation has.

Defiantly my favorite foundation find of this year.

Flower Beauty Light Illusion Liquid Foundation $13.99 for 1.01 fluid ounces of product at Ulta and is billed as the perfecting veil of buildable coverage that provides you with the coverage you desire to smooth and perfect, while imparting your skin with the most flattering soft luminosity imaginable. All with a weightless, nude skin feel. Imperfections and uneven skin tone are diminished. Only a flawless, smooth, and incredibly natural complexion is revealed.

It comes in 12 shades with 7 shades for deeper skin tones and I have it in the shade Natural Beige M1 which is a bit too yellow I wish I would have purchased it in the shade L3 Nude because that one seems more on the neutral side … although I can make M1 work with just a hint of my foundation mixers.

Pixi by Petra Flawless Beauty Fluid (discontinued) in the shade No. 3 Warm which is just a tad too warm for me.

This is a very liquidity foundation that has a high medium coverage and a satin finish.

I really don’t hate this one but I also don’t love it either. I could take it or leave it really.

It’s not a bad foundation but it’s also not an amazing one either.

ELF Flawless Finish Foundation .68 fluid ounce for $6 at Ulta and is billed as a lightweight, oil-free formula that is a semi-matte finish that lasts all day long.

It comes in 26 shades with 15 shades for deeper skin tones and I have it in the shade Sand (light/medium with neutral undertones).

This is a high light coverage which can be built up to a medium coverage.

It’s a pretty good foundation. I have no complaints but there isn’t really anything that stands out for this foundation either.

Il Makiage I Woke Up Like This Foundation $44 for 1 fluid ounce of product on their website. It comes in 50 shades with 23 for deeper skin tones and I have it in the shade 040.

It’s billed as a foundation that smooths and evens the skin with an advanced, innovative formula that instantly minimizes the appearance of shadows and pores, effortlessly enhances the complexion and generates a flawless natural matte finish.

This is one of those products that I found on a Tik Tok ad. I reall am glad I tried it out. It’s pretty darn good.

It’s full coverage and I think it’s more of a demi-matte finish.

It’s newer to my collection so I am still developing my final thought on it but so far I really do like it.

Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer $9.99 for 1 fluid ounce of product at Ulta. It comes in 45 shades with 18 shades for deeper skin tones and I have it in the shade 03 light beige which is an OK shade match for me however I have been thinking about getting it in the shade 01A Creamy Nude because the shade I have is a tad warmer than I like.

It’s billed as a foundation that combats under eye circles, redness and other skin imperfections with a medium to full coverage, water-resistant foundation plus concealer in one.

This is my second bottle of this foundation. It use to be my all time favorite foundation but when I tried it again when I did my Full Face of Milani Review I noticed it was a different formula that I still liked but not as much as I use to.

ColourPop No Filter Matte Foundation $12 for 1 fluid ounce of product on their website. It comes in 35 shades with 14 shades for deeper skin tones I have it in the shade Medium 100 (Neutral foundation with peachy undertones for medium skin tones) and is totally the wrong shade for me … I should have purchased it in the shade light 60.

This foundation is billed as  oil-free, buildable full coverage foundation was formulated with soft blurring pigments to give you a natural matte finish.

I don’t know I haven’t been blown away by this foundation. It;s just an OK foundation for me … now that could be because of the shade I have it in it’s really orange and just doesn’t flatter me at all.

I don’t know I may have to do another round of declutters to purge some of these foundations that aren’t wowing me and are just the wrong shade for me.

I think this one would be on that chopping block.

Wet n Wild Photo Focus Dewy Foundation $6.49 for .95 fluid ounces of product at Ulta and comes in 14 shades at Ulta and 19 on the Wet n Wild website. At Ulta there are no shades for our ebony goddesses and n the Wet n Wild website there are only 4 shades for deeper skin tones …. (come on Wet n Wild … do better!)

This foundation is billed as being a weightless, super-nourishing foundation that delivers natural, all-day wear. Silky and creamy, coverage is easily buildable from medium to full coverage.

This is a pretty foundation. It’s very liquidity but easy to blend in and has a amazing glow to the skin.

The only thing I don’t like about this foundation (other than the fact that it’s not a deep skin tone friendly brand) is the stupid paddle that it comes with. Every time I use this foundation I get it on my clothes because some will always drop off the paddle’s back end (even when I wipe the paddle on the bottle).

Other than that I do really like this one.

Catrice Cosmetics HD Liquid Coverage Foundation $10.99 for 1.5 fluid ounces of product at Ult and on the Catrice website. It comes in 23 shaded 8 for deeper skin tones and I have the shade 030 Soft Beige (a perfect match for me).

It’s billed as an ultra-lightweight, high coverage foundation for a natural looking finish with 24 hour coverage.

I was super impressed with this foundation and continue to impress me. I have loved this foundation every time I’ve worn it.

It’s a demi-matte foundation that doesn’t set down completely but sets down enough that you really don’t need to powder the face all over just really in the T zone. You also do not need very much of this foundation a few drops is all you really need.

The Balm Even Steven Whipped Foundation $22 for .45 ounces of product on their website.

This foundation comes in 8 shades with 3 for deeper skin tones and I have it in the shade light medium (it has a slight grey undertone that is oddly flattering on the skin).

It’s billed as a light, airy, soufflé-like texture for a natural matte finish. And the ultra- pigmented formula means a little goes a long way.

This foundation feels heavenly! It’s so velvety and doesn’t need to be set with powder.

I was a little taken back when I first received this purchase in the mail because it’s such a tiny little jar… but really it’s so pigmented and such an amazing texture that just a small scoop of this foundation is enough to cover the face , neck, and ears.

I so love this foundation.

ELF BB Cream $6 for 1 fluid ounce on their website. It comes in 7 shades 2 for deeper skin and I have it in the shade Nude (it’s just a hair warmer than I’d like but it’s a bb cream so I can make it work).

This BB Cream is billed as one that blends super easily, giving you a clean complexion with UVA/UVB SPF 20 protection. It’s also infused with cucumber, jojoba, aloe, and vitamin E so your skin stays healthy and hydrated all day long.

The only thing I don’t like about this one is the scent. It has a sort of lemon pledge scent to it.

This is also not a good BB cream for someone with oily skin as this one stays super dewy and I have noticed that on my oily days it breaks down fast even with powdering.

AOA Studios Perfect BB Cream $1 for 1.01 fluid ounces of product on the Shop Miss A website and it comes in 6 shades (2 for light, medium, and deep skin tones) and I have the shade medium.

It’s billed as a lightweight, skin-tone adapting formula, created for the perfect “No Makeup” makeup look. This cream effortlessly blends into the skin and creates a veil-like finish with light to medium coverage.

This is a truly amazing BB cream … in fact I might go as far as to say it’s one of my favorite bb creams.

NYX Born To Glow Naturally Radiant Foundation $10 for 1.01 fluid ounces of product at Ulta and comes in 45 shades with 16 shades for deep skin tones and I have it in the shade Nude (light with neutral undertones).

This foundation is billed as a buildable medium coverage and a naturally radiant finish that lasts.

This is the most beautiful radiant glowing foundation! I though I wasn’t going to like it because there was just too much hype surrounding it … but this is a case where the hype is valid.

This is so pretty on the skin but I did notice I would have to touch up a few times throughout the day.

L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation $12.99 for 1 fluid ounces of product at Ulta and it comes in 12 shades with only 3 shades for deeper skin tones and none of the deep shades are anywhere deep enough for our ebony kings and queens (UGH … Come on L’Oreal get it together!) and I am in the shade 202 Creamy Natural (a spot on shade match).

This foundation is billed as  having being up to 24 hour wear with a hydrating glow. Lightweight and creamy, this long lasting foundation goes on smooth with a glow finish that lasts. With medium coverage, it instantly hides imperfections for a clear complexion. The hydrating foundation with SPF is ideal for normal to dry skin.

I was in love with the original Infallible Pro-Matte Liquid Longwear Foundation but this new one is so much better!

It’s glowy and pretty and full coverage without looking or feeling heavy.

Benefit Hello Happy Flawless Brightening Foundation $30 for 1 fluid ounce of product at Ulta and Sephora and comes in 12 shades with 4 shades for light, medium, and deep shades and I am in the shade 4 (medium neutral).

Its’ billed as a medium-coverage satin finished liquid foundation with SPF 15 that feels lightweight, looks natural and is virtually undetectable on skin. Contains photochromic pigments that instantly adapt to brighten skin in any lighting, flower acids to help boost radiance and hyaluronic acid to attract moisture to the skin’s surface and help maintain hydration.

The picture is of a mini travel bottle but I have since purchased the full sized bottle.

This is probably my favorite item that Benefit makes. It’s such a pretty finish. It doesn’t set down at all and does need to be powdered but even with powder it’s radiant and feels like skin.

Joah Truly Yours Natural Finish Foundation Drops $9.50 for 1 fluid ounce of product on their website and it comes in 12 shades with 4 shades for light, medium, and deep skin tones and I have it in the shade Natural Ivory (its a great match for me).

It’s billed as a skin enhancing natural finish foundation perfects your complexion in every way…hydrating, brightening, smoothing, accentuating your youthful glow with a flawless finish that is lightweight with a natural finish.

I love the finish of this one but it is by no means lightweight. I can tell that I’m wearing foundation when I’m wearing this one. I just don’t even mind because it’s just so pretty.

Tarte Maracuja Tinted Moisturizer $29 for 1 fluid ounce of product at Ulta and comes in 20 shades with 5 shades for fair , light, medium, and deep skin tones and I am in the shade 20 N Light Neutral.

It’s billed as an ultra-lightweight & hydrating tinted moisturizer that delivers a sheer wash of color while infusing skin with maracuja superfruit for 12-hour hydration & wear.

I like this one but I have to remember to not use moisturizer when I use this one because I always end up greasy because I forget.

This one doesn’t have the best longevity, I typically get 4 hours of wear out of it before I have to powder the T Zone.

I like it for no makeup days but I don’t like it with makeup … it’s too sheer and almost always looks odd, even when I do a no makeup – makeup look.

Pixi by Petra Beauty Balm $22 for 1.7 fluid ounces of product on their website and it comes in 6 shades (2 for light, medium, and deep skin tones) and I have it in the shade No 2 Nude.

This edium to full coverage foundation is billed as a hydrating and long-lasting formula that contains Ceramides, Hyaluronic Acid, Adenosine and Chamomile extract to soothe & nourish.

I like this one but it’s nothing special. It doesn’t set down so you will need to powder it but it’s a nice just everyday makeup foundation.

Juvia’s Place I Am Magic Foundation $20 for 1 fluid ounce at Ulta and it comes in 42 shades on the Juvia’s Place website (half of the shades are for deeper skin and the other half are for mid to fair skin tones) and is offered in 35 shades at Ulta with half the shade beign for deeper skin and the other half for mid to fair skin tones. I am in the shade 650 Alexandria (light skin with neutral undertones) and is billed as a a smooth application with a natural and soft matte finish to give a flawless coverage.

This is my newest foundation in my collection.

I reviewed this one in Final Thoughts in my Amber Neutral Eye Face of the Day post but the break down is …. it’s highly pigmented, full coverage and doesn’t emphasize texture or pores. Basically I love this foundation.

Well That’s all for now dolls. Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoy the rest of yoru day/night and that you are in good health and spirits.

Remember dolls … Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

My Makeup Collection Vol. 2 The Foundations Part 1

Published May 27, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

Hey doll hey!!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope … I’m back with vol. 2 of my makeup collection (Vol 1 of my makeup collection was My Primer Collection ) … grab a snack and settle in this one is a long one … I have a ton of foundation …. So I will be doing this in 2 parts

*Note: I apply all my foundations with a beauty sponge … I never use a foundation brush… however there are a few of these foundations I can get away with applying with my figures …. typically the bb cc and tinted moisturizers*

So let’s jump on in ….

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Foundation $12 at Ulta for .7 fluid ounces. Comes in 16 shades with 3 for deep-ish skin tones (they could do better for our deep skin beauties). I’m in the shade F5.7 (this shade is only sold on the Revolution Beauty website .

This foundation is billed as being specially formulated to suit every skin type and tone but is particularly beneficial for dry skin formulated with hyaluronic acid, it offers all-day-long radiance and glow without settling into fine lines or clinging to dry patches.

This is a beautiful foundation, truly it is. I’ve never had a bad makeup day with this one ever. This one is in my top 5 favorite foundations.

NYX Bare With Me Tinted Skin Veil $13 for .9 fluid ounces at Ulta. Comes in 12 shades with 6 shades for deeper skin. I am in the shade Beige Camel however I think I could get away with True Beige Buff (a shade 1 step down from this one).

It’s billed as a lightweight tinted cream with a seamless, satiny finish to help you achieve the ultimate fresh faced no makeup makeup look with  light, breathable coverage that delivers up to 8 hours of hydration  that never feels heavy or cakey.

I don’t really know how I feel about this one. Some days it goes on well and looks pretty and other times it gives me trouble and just look splotchy … I think this might have something to do with the primer I’m using at the time.

It’s a very light coverage product that is great for a no makeup … makeup look. It doesn’t build past light coverage, in fact the few times I’ve tried to build this one up I’ve gotten nothing but a greasy mess.

Physicians Formula The Healthy Foundation (discontinued but can be found on Amazon for $10.77 for 1 fluid ounce) and is billed as a long-wearing, breathable foundation that provides lightweight, buildable coverage with a satin finish. It came in 12 shades with 5 shades for deeper skin. I am the shade LN 4.

I’m bummed they discontinued this one … it’s a really good foundation that preforms every bit as well as the claims say. It gives the face a beautiful healthy glow to the skin.

This is another foundation that is a spot on match for my skin tone.

I don’t use this one often just because I don’t want to run out of it… I’m so sad they discontinued this one, really I am … it’s an amazing formula.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear $47 for 1 fluid ounce at Ulta and Sephora. This one comes in 50 shades with 8 shades for deeper skin. I have it in the shade 270 Bisque Warm.

It’s billed as an oil-free, long-wearing, liquid foundation that velvety-smooth complexion for up to 24 hours with medium to full matte coverage.

This one is a medium foundation that can be built up to full coverage but it’s more of a demi-matte finish.

There are days that this one is finicky. I have to be careful what primer I pair it with. It gets so frustrating that at times I just skip the primer all together.

It’s leaves the face looking flawless and pretty.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup (discontinued). I have it in the shade 4.0 and that an OK shade for me during the summer months, which is typically when I reach for this one.

It’s super light weight… very serum like. I love this foundation… I prefer it more than I do it’s replacement the Stay Naked Weightless Liquid Foundation.

ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Acid Tinted Moisturizer $14 for 1.45 fluid ounces of product at Ulta (and on the ColourPop website) and is billed as a hydrating, oil-free tinted moisturizer with lightweight coverage that evens skintone and leaves your skin looking fresh and healthy. Formulated with hyaluronic acid (aka HA) and coconut water to support skin hydration without adding oil, this tinted moisturizer works for all skin types and makeup styles.

It comes in 21 shades with 8 shades for deeper skin tones. I’m in the shade Medium 10 N but it’s just maybe a 1/2 shade darker than me and Light 8 N is about 1/2 shade too light so I chose the deeper of the 2 since it’s a tinted moisturizer I can still make it work.

It’s a good no makeup – makeup product. It’s not the longest lasting formula but I tend to use it just to add a little something to my skin when I want to look put together but not done up so I don’t really mind that it’s longevity is mediocre.

This is another one of those products that you can not build up because it instantly looks greasy if you do.

Urban Decay Stay Naked Weightless Liquid Foundation $39 for 1 fluid ounce of product at Ulta and is billed as having 50 shades designed with 9 shade intensities, 3 mastertones, and 7 undertones in mind. This waterproof longwear foundation feels like a second skin, thanks to a breathable, flexible formula that moves with you (all day and all night, up to 24 hours). There are 17 shades for deeper skin and I have the shade 40 NN … I should have gone for 30 NN because this one is just a bit too orange on me… but I had already exchanged it 2 times and didn’t feel like going back to Ulta for attempt # 3 so I just make it work.

I don’t know about these claims but what I do know is that it feels like you aren’t wearing anything. It’s at best low medium coverage that builds to almost high medium coverage.

I don’t buy that this one really is a 24-HR wear foundation … I tend to need to touch up about every 2 hours when I’m wearing this one.

It’s a pretty decent product … I just really like the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup better.

Tarte Babassu Foundcealer Skincare Foundation $39 for 1 fluid ounce of product at Ulta and is billed as a vegan, skincare foundation, AKA your total complexion solution. This vegan makeup & skincare hybrid delivers an ultra-comfortable, natural radiant finish & medium customizable coverage while it hydrates & gives the appearance of plumper skin while minimizing the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles and it can be applied with the fingers for a light application or with a sponge for a medium coverage.

It comes in 30 shades with 8 shades for deeper skin tones. I am in the shade 27 N light medium neutral which is a great match for me.

I do like this foundation but I have to touch up a heap when I wear it … I keep meaning to try it without using a moisturizer underneath to see if I can get it to last longer between touch ups but I always forget.

I purchased the mini to test it out to see if I would like it and the verdict is … I do actually like it and in the future I think I may purchase the full sized bottle.

It has a pretty glow to the skin that shows through even with a matte powder over the top (and this is definitely a foundation that needs to be set with power … this is not one of those foundations you can just leave dewy because it will break down on you.

Private Society Drops of Perfection Foundation $30 for 1 fluid ounce on their website and is billed as a unique, platinum primer infused foundation that is ideal for buildable coverage.  Water based formula provides intense hydration for any skin type.

It claims to be hydrating, transfer-resistant, skin balancing, color correcting, and long-wearing… part of those claims is true.

It is a hydrating formula that does wear long, however it does not color correct, and I don’t find that it balances my skin at all (in fact I often breakout while wearing this foundation) and as for being transfer-resistant … I can’t tell you how many of hubby’s shirts I’ve ruined hugging him with this foundation on …

All in all it’s a decent product… I wish I would have purchased it in perhaps warm (1 shade lighter) or light (2 shades lighter) the shade I have is medium and it’s noticeably darker than my body.

It comes in 18 shades with 6 for deeper skin and I purchased the shade Medium.

I think it’s an OK foundation … I like how I look in it (once I fuss with powders and bronzers to balance out the deepness of this shade) but it’s by far not one of my faves.

Makeup Forever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation $43 for 1.01 fluid ounce of product at Sephora and is billed as an undetectable medium coverage and a blurred, second-skin finish for up to 24 hours. Comes in 50 shades with 11 for deeper skin and I am in the shade Y235  Ivory Beige – for light skin with neutral undertones and it is a great shade match for me.

This is a beautiful foundation! I truly love how my makeup looks every time I wear this foundation. It truly is an undetectable medium coverage foundation and it never feels like I’m wearing foundation, in fact there have been a few times that I went to bed with my makeup on because I’d forgotten that I was wear it … hubby had to remind me to remove it or I would have slept in my makeup (eek).

This is one of my top 5 favorite foundations of all time.

NARS Natural Radiant Long-wear Foundation $49 for 1 fluid ounce of product at Ulta and Sephora and is billed as the first 16-hour, fade-resistant foundation that improves skin by the hour and stays true. Skin Recognition Pigments match your skin tone, delivering your most authentic coverage yet, while NARS’ Skin Optimizing Complex refines skin from the inside, out. Its full coverage never masks skin, but stays breathable, and unstoppably natural-looking. It comes in 30 shades with only 6 shades for deeper skin. I am in the shade Light 5 Fiji and it is a spot on match for me.

This is another one in my favorites! I love my skin in this foundation every single time I wear it!!!

It’s got this dewiness to it that just looks natural and a glow that never looks fabricated.

This one will always have a spot in my collection for as long as they continue to make it.

Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick $46 for .25 ounces of product at Sephora and is billed as a  weightless, waterproof foundation with an up to 12 hours og long-wearing, concentrated coverage in a custom, triangular component for fast and easy full coverage on-the-go and contains double the amount of pigment versus traditional foundations, and adjusts to your body temperature to effortlessly blend into the skin.

This stick foundation come in 32 shades with only 8 shades for deeper skin. I am in the shade Buff (light with warm undertones). At the time I purchased this foundation I was tan so this worked for me … it’s just perhaps 2 shades deeper than I would like now… I would prefer the shade Shell (light with neutral undertones).

This is a demi-matte foundation with full coverage. The demi-matte formula makes the skin look like skin and not makeup.

This was my favorite foundation, my go to foundation anytime I needed my skin to be absolutely perfect. I just don’t reach for it as much as I once did. I don’t know if that’s because I never remember I have it (it’s in this weird triangle shaped tune that gets lost behind other foundation bottles) or if I just prefer other foundations to this one … I may have to move it to my vanity in my line of sight to force me to use it more.

This one is one of few foundations that I own that I never need to set. It’s demi-matte so it does stay the slightest of tacky but nothing so serious that it slips or transfers. I wear this one mainly in the spring and fall. It’s too heavy for the summer and doesn’t last long in the Florida heat and it’s too matte for the winter when my skin craves a more dewy foundation.

I’ll be attempting to use this one more over the next few months and if I still am not reaching for it I just might declutter it from my collections as it’s my oldest foundation in my collection.

Rimmel London LASTING FINISH BREATHABLE FOUNDATION (not sure if this is being discontinued or not) I’m in the shade 102 light nude and I can’t find it anywhere to link it… the short of it is … I hate this foundation! I have no clue why I keep it around.

I hate the scent, I hate the undertone, I hate how it looks on my skin and I always break out from it.

I think in posting this I have decided that I will try and use it over then next 3 months and then if I haven’t liked it … I will declutter it.

A+: AOA Drop Liquid Foundation $1.88 for .64 fluid ounces of product on the Shop Miss A website and is billed as a  lightweight, natural formula that leaves a gorgeous satin finish. It comes in 15 shades with 5 shades for light, medium, and deep skin tones.

This is such an amazing little gem!! I can’t believe it’s only $1.88 for this foundation … it out performs a lot of my drug store foundations.

I have loved my makeup every time I’ve worn this one.

Boots No. 7 Protect & Perfect Advanced All in One Foundation $15.99 for 1 fluid ounce on their website and is billed as a revolutionary multi-tasking all in one foundation that instantly perfects the appearance of skin, concealing blemishes and blurring the appearance of lines, wrinkles and pores while providing 24 hour hydration.

It comes in 12 shades with 4 for deeper skin. I am in the shade Calico.

I wish this one came in more shades for deeper skin! This is a freaking AMAZING foundation and is one of my top 5 faves.

It’s skin like and leaves the face perfected in a skin like way. I do not wear moisturizer with this one because it will go greasy if I do.

It is just such a beautiful medium coverage foundation.

Too Faced Born This Way Undetectable Medium-to-Full Coverage Foundation $39 for 1 fluid ounce of product at Ulta and Sephora and is billed as an oil-free foundation that masterfully diffuses the line between makeup and skin with coverage so undetectable, they’ll think you were born this way. It comes in 35 shades with 15 shades for deeper skin tones and I am in the shade Warm Nude (very light with neutral undertones) and is a good shade match but I think the next time I want to try the shade Vanilla.

This use to be my every special occasion foundation because it just leaves the skin looking flawlessly beautiful.

I have since started using it more because I just simple adore how my skin looks in it. To be honest I just simple love the entire Born This Way collection … Too Faced knocked it out of the park with this collection and I just love how cohesive the collection is.

This is one of those foundations that I will always have as part of my collection.

I never have a bad makeup day anytime I’m wearing this foundation and even on no makeup – makeup days I use this foundation.

It’s a high medium coverage that is buildable to full coverage.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation $44 for 1 fluid ounce of product at Sephora, on the Beautylish website, and the Charlotte Tilbury website and is billed as a long lasting, medium-buildable coverage foundation with a demi-matte finish.

It comes in 20 shades with 7 shades for deeper skin but with no shades that someone with deeply rich skin tones can use. I am in the shade 4.5 (golden yellow shade for light to medium skin tones with warm undertones). It’s just a smidgen warmer than I typically like for my foundations but Charlotte doesn’t make shades in neutral undertones for this product … it’s either cool or warm and cool shades are too blue on my skin.

This is a pretty foundation that is lovely but finicky. This is one of those foundations that once you have it blended into the skin you can not touch until you set it or it will slip. For some reason it also doesn’t grab onto the sides of my nose … like around the nostril area. I almost always have to go in with a layer of concealer to hide the fact that this foundation is patchy in that area. (there are a few foundations this happens with but with this foundation the slip is more prominent).

I do like how pretty this foundation looks but I prefer the other Tilbury foundation I own better, mainly because I love a dewier/ satin foundation as a posed to a matter foundation these days.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Longwear Foundation $44 for 1 fluid ounce of product at Sephora, the Beautylish website, and the Charlotte Tilbury website and is billed as a long-lasting, weightless, hybrid skincare-foundation that’s a secret to a flawless, poreless-looking, confident complexion. It comes in 44 shades with 16 shades for deeper skin tones and I am in the shade 3 Neutral (for fair skin with neutral undertones).

Charlotte says this is a full coverage matte formula, however I don’t get matte coverage from this foundation at all. I get a beautiful satin coverage from this one. It is however full coverage and a very little goes a very long way.

This one doesn’t set down so you do need a face powder but even with my matte loose powders the natural radiance of this foundation comes through.

This foundation is newer to my collection and is by far my favorite of all time.

DermaBlend Flawless Creator Liquid Foundation Drops $40 for 1 fluid ounce of product at Ulta and comes in 22 shades with 6 shades for deeper skin tones and I am in the shade 30 N (light skin with neutral undertones)

This 2018 Allure Best of Beauty winner is billed as a water-free, oil-free liquid foundation has a unique, silky texture that provides weightless, full coverage and a natural finish and is formulated with only 10 ingredients so that you get pigments at their purest: a little goes a long way and developed in true-to-tone, fade-proof shades. Never cakey or masky for an even and natural look providing 16 hours of comfortable wear that is smudge-and transfer-resistant.

Most of these claims are in fact true … it does in fact only have 10 ingredients in it, a little drop of this product goes a seriously long way, it’s a spot on shade match for me, it doesn’t fade even on a long day, never feels mask like and does not smudge. Now … with that said it can get cakey if you are not careful with it and I have gotten this foundation on a few of my shirts neck lines.

You can use this product alone or mix drops with your skincare products, and just like with the Cover FX Customer Cover Drops use can customize your coverage: for lighter coverage use 1 drop, for maximum coverage use up to 4 drops.

This is a super full coverage demi-matte foundation that doesn’t dry down all the way so it does need to be set with powder.

I purchased this one because I saw Marlena Stell of Makeup Geek use it mixed with a few drops of face oil on her YouTube video and it looked so amazingly beautiful that I just needed to try it out …. granted I haven’t tried it with a face oil yet but I have tried it on it’s own and I really do like it (provided I go in with a light hand … I have over done it and it felt thick and heavy on the face…. what I do is go in with 1 drop of product and stretch that as far as I can go and then I go in with little tiny drops as I go).

Cover FX Custom Cover Drops $29 for .25 fluid ounces of product on their website and comes in 30 shades with 10 shades for deeper skin tones and I am in the shade G Medium 1 for medium skin with warm undertones. (this shade is a bit deep for me and I think I want to pick up N Light 1 for fair to light skin with neutral undertones) I can make the shade I have work but I truly want the N Light 1 shade.

This foundation is billed as a pure liquid pigments that weightlessly blend with your favorite products to give you endless possibilities. Mix with cream or oil to tint a moisturizer, mix with primer to create a custom foundation, or mix with a foundation or concealer to lighten or deepen a shade and is says that 1 Drop = Sheer Coverage, 2 Drops = Medium Coverage, and 3 Drops = Full Coverage.

I love playing around with these drops. I have even been known to mix them into my lightest bb creams for added coverage.

Well that’s it for this part of the post … stay tuned tomorrow for the next installment of Vol 2 of the foundations.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good health and spirits.

Remember dolls … Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

Amber Neutral Eye Face of the Day

Published May 26, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

Hey doll hey!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I slept in until around 10:45 AM. I’m still in some pain and my energy is pretty low today but I was able to do my makeup, blog a few posts, and cook an amazing dinner … tonight on the menu is Pollo Guisado (stewed chicken over white rice).

Today’s perfume is Marc Jacob’s Daisy Twinkle …. I will be reviewing several of the my new Juvia’s Place items in Final Thoughts….Let’s jump into today’s Face of the Day ….

Base:

I first primed my problematic pore areas with ELF Poreless Putty Primer ($8 at Ulta) and then primed the full face using Dr Brandt Pores No More Pore Refiner Primer ($45 at Ulta). I then used the MAC Strobe Cream ($35 for the regular sized bottle at Ulta) in the shade pinklite. My foundation today is Juvia’s Place I Am Magic Foundation $20 for 1 fluid ounce (but on sale for $14 at Ulta and on the Juvia’s Place website) in the shade 650 Alexandria (light skin with neutral undertones). I skipped corrector today to see how the concealer performed …. I concealed with 2 dots of Juvia’s Place I Am Magic Concealer $14 for .34 fluid ounces (but on sale for $8.90 at Ulta and on the Juvia’s Place website for $11) in the shade 23. I contoured using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand ($38 at Sephora, on the Beautylish website, and on the Charlotte Tilbury website) in the shade Medium Dark to contour the perimeter of my face and down the bridge of my nose. I highlighted the tops of my cheek bones, bridge of the nose, center of the chin, and high points of my forehead using Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand  ($38 on the Beautylish website, The Charlotte Tilbury website and at Sehora) in the shade Spot Light and then I went in with just a touch of Juvia’s Place The Tribe Highlighter Vol. 3 $12 for .31 ounces of product (on sale at Ulta for $8.40). I bronzed the perimeter of the face using Juvia’s Place Shade Stick Foundation $16 for .34 ounces (on sale at Ulta for $11.20 and Juvia’s Place website for $12) in the shade Guinea (for dark skin with neutral cool undertones). I set my under eyes using Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder for Under Eyes ($28 at Ulta) in the shade 1 and then set the rest of my face using the Believe Beauty Matte Blur Loose Powder ($5 only at Dollar General Stores) in translucent. I chose the Wet n Wild Photofocus Pressed Powder ($5.47 on their website but on sale now for $3.57) in the shade Neutral Beige as my touch up powder for the day.

Eyes:

I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 at Dollar General) in clear and then filled in my brows using Joah Brow Down To Me Precision Brow Pencil ($9.50 on their website) in the shade Brunette. I carved out the brow line using BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and then I primed my lids using P.Louise Base ($10 pound sterling/ $12.08 USD on their website… can also be found on the Morphie website for $15) in the shade Rumour 0.5. For today’s eye look I used mostly Juvia’s Place The Warrior II palette. I also use a single shadow for the mobile lid. I started by using the Zaz (eggshell white matte) to set my brow line and then went into the shade Kana (rosey dove grey matte) from lash line to brow line. I then went into the shade Yodit (dark mustard brown matte) on the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid and the outer v of the crease. For the remaining 2/3 of the mobile lid I used L’Oreal Infallible 24-HR Eyesahdow ($6.46 at Walmart) in the shade Amber Rush (bright rose gold amber metallic). I then went into the shade Kufuru (syrup brown matte) and used it on the very outer part of the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid and the very outer of the outer v (making sure not to take this shade into the crease at all). I then went into the shade Daura (salmon coral matte) and buffed in into the middle 1/3 of both mobile lid and the upper crease and then took whatever was left on the brush that I used the shade Kana on and buffed out the edges of the middle 1/3 of the lid. For the lower lash line I first went in with more of the shade Yodit and created a drop shadow that I further intensified with more of the shade Daura and buffed that 1/2 way down the drop shadow and intensified the lash line using more of the shade Yodit. I highlighted my inner corners using more of Juvia’s Place The Tribe Highlighter Vol. 3. I tight lined my upper waterline using  Pixi by Petra Endless Silky Eye Pen ($9 at Ulta) in the shade Black Cocoa (a deep brown) and my lower waterline using ColourPop BFF Creme Gel Liner ($6 on their website) in the shade Get Paid (rose gold metallic). I coated my upper and lower lashes in 1 layer of NYX On The Rise Volume Liftscara ($11 at Ulta).

Cheeks and Lips:

For my blush today I am wearing Tarte Amazonian Clay 24-HR Blush ($29 at Ulta) in the shade B-Day Bae (a rosey pink matte). I highlighted the highest points of my cheek bones, center of the chin, Cupid’s bow, bridge of the nose, and brow bone area using more of Juvia’s Place The Tribe Highlighter Vol. 3. I lined my lips and filled them in using NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner ($4 at Ulta) in the shade Whipped Caviar (rosey mauve nude) and topped my lips off using Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Lip Cream ($8.49 at Ulta) Guava Mama (coral).

Final Thoughts: Product Reviews….

I Am Magic Foundation in the shade 650 Alexandria (light skin with neutral undertones). I grade this one an A+:

It’s very pigmented and very little is all that you need. I did 1 1/2 squirts for my face, neck, and ears and still had product left on my palette.

This is an extremely thick foundation but doesn’t feel heavy on the face whatsoever. In fact I don’t feel like I’m wearing anything at all.

Their website says that this is a velvety matte long wear foundation. I agree that it’s matte but I don’t understand why they say it’s velvety… it really isn’t. It’s a true matte foundation and not at all demi-matte as I thought it would be based on my swatch from yesterday’s Ulta Haul .

Like most matte foundations this is a very full coverage one but unlike most matte foundations on me … this one did not emphasize any texture and did not grab at my fine lines.

The shade is a perfect match for me and did not oxidize.

There is no scent to this foundation (a welcomed bonus) and it sets down almost all the way (I did have to powder lightly as there was a slight … very slight tack to the skin after application).

Juvia’s Place continues to surprise me with both their quality and performance of their products.

This is a welcomed addition to my ever growing foundation collection.

I Am Magic Concealer in the shade J23 (for fair skin with neutral undertones) I grade this one an A- :

This one, again, is a very pigmented product that only needs the slightest amount for coverage.

The reason that I only gave it an A- is because this one does emphasize some texture under my eyes (now this could be the combo of this concealer with the powder that I used, that is plausible).

This concealer did not oxidize at all and is very long lasting. I did not need to touch up at all and I’ve been wearing it for 8 hours now.

This is a pretty good concealer.

Shade Stick Foundation in the color Guinea (dark skin with warm undertones) I grade with one A++:

This one is billed as full coverage …. I find it to be high medium coverage.

This is a creamy formula with little to no slip that does not set down on it’s own.

I purchased this deep shade because I thought it would make a great bronzer …. and it did not disappoint me.

It’s easy to apply and does not disturb the products underneath it and I used a touch more after I powdered my face and it went on beautifully without getting splotchy or patchy.

I don’t have much to say about it because I am only using it as a bronzer so I don’t know what the performance would be as face product but as a bronzer this one is stunning!

I am thinking of picking up shade Tokyo to use as a cream highlight for glam makeup.

The Tribe Highlighter Vol. 3 for light skin. I grade this one an A+++!!!!

This is such a gorgeous highlighter, very reflective.

I didn’t want a full on powerful highlighter so I used a very light hand and dusted it over the high points of my face in circular motions and that made my face glow beautifully!!

This is a finely milled, low kick back, firm pressed powder highlighter.

I already know I more than likely will be reaching for this one a ton… and I will have to force myself to put it away and give some love to my other highlighters …. it’s just the way it works with me when I find a highlighter this amazing.

The Warrior II Palette I grade this one an A+++!!!!

This is an all matte palette.

The shadows are firm pressed in the pans but the they are still buttery.

There was no kickback in the pan… and I mean ZIP!!! There is just something about Juvia’s Place shadows that is magical …. I very seldom come across a shade in their collection that has any kickback whatsoever.

There was also NO FALLOUT on the face either.

The shadows are highly pigmented and buff out effortlessly without skipping or being patchy and they buff into one another without going muddy.

Each shade layers over the top of the others wonderfully.

They do not crease or fade throughout the day … Again I’ve been in my makeup for going on 9 hours now and my eyes are still as vibrant as they were at the start of my makeup application.

This is a great palette to have in my collection and I can get all types of looks form just this one palette and maybe a few single metallic shades for those days that I want a bit of shine.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits and health.

Remember dolls …. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

New JKissa and ELF Collaboration Haul

Published May 26, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

Hey doll hey!!! Just popping in with a quick haul update.

I just purchased 2 of the 3 things from the Jkissa x ELF limited edition collection!!! (Available for ELF Squad members as of May 25th and for everyone else as of May 27th 2020).

I was going to wait until it arrived but I so excited that I just had to share with you what I just purchased… swatches to come upon arrival of my purchase.

This palette is my spirit animal!!! I can’t wait to start playing with this little baby!!!!

This 6 piece brush set is vegan and cruelty free. ELF brushes are one of my favorite affordable brushes on the market and it doesn’t hurt that they are so stinking cute!!!

There is a Gold dual ended gold eye glitter thing as the 3rd component to this collection, but I really do not like glitter so I opted not to purchase it.

Well that’s it for now dolls. Hope you have a great rest of your day/night.

Remember…. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick 💄.
