My empties for the months of January and February 2020

Hey doll hey!!! Hope you are having a great day/night. I have a short empties post for you tonight (it’s currently 11:40 pm here) So let’s jump into it…

The only thing I use to cleanse my face in the morning and to take off my makeup at night. I purchase the 3 pack off the Beautylish website for $44.70 and typically go through 1 bottle a month.

My favorite facial cotton. Doesn’t shed or tear. Is super soft. I purchase these at Ulta and Sephora for $12 for the 165 pack….. *Side Note* I have ordered 2 packs of reusable bamboo facial disks so I may not be repurchasing these in the future… It’s better for the environment and saves me heaps of money.

I really enjoyed this setting spray. I purchase it at Ulta for $8.50 for 2.02 fluid ounces and have purchased a replacement for this empty.

It took me forever to use this up. I just didn’t really care for it as much as I do with some of my drug store setting sprays. I purchased mine through MAC for $28 for 3.04 fluid ounces. I will not be repurchasing this one as I have so many backup setting sprays and I truly didn’t see what the hype was about for this one.

I purchase this at Sephora for $45 for 1 fluid ounce. It was a nice primer, very hydrating. I really didn’t notice a Coconut scent, even though they bill this as having  five types of coconut in it. I may repurchase this at some point, I’m just in no hurry to purchase it right now.

As always (I have done a full review of my skin care) I purchase this through Amazon for $16 for .5 fluid ounces. This is the only eye cream I have ever used for 2 years now. I have purchased a replacement for this one and will be purchasing a back up coming next week.

I purchased this at Ulta for $8.99 for .003 ounces of product. This is a perfect brow pencil and I have purchased a replacement and have plans to purchase a back up next week.

Well that’s it dolls… told ya it was a short empties post … stay tuned for my makeup haul and I hope you have a great rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits. Remember …. save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

Let’s Talk Trash… Dec 2019 and Jan 2020

Published February 15, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

Hey doll hey!!! How you doing? Great I hope. So I held on to my empties to share with you. I didn’t use up a ton of stuff in the last 2 months so this should be a short post….Let’s get started …..

Bioderma 500 ML bottles. I purchase them on the Beautylish website for $14.90 a bottle, but I purchase them in the 3 pack for $44.70.

This is my all time favorite Micelle Solution. I use it to cleanse my face and to take off makeup and also to clean up fallout and mistakes whilst doing my makeup. It’s gentle on the skin, has no scent, and gets all the makeup off in 1 go. I have already purchased another 3 bottles.

Shiseido Facial Cotton 165 sheet packs. I purchase them through Sephora’s website for $12 a pack.

This is my favorite cotton to use on my face. I’ve already done a review on this item, you can read that review here , I normally go through a pack a month. I have already repurchased 3 packs.

My skin care products that I’ve used up for Dec and Jan. You can read about my skin care routine here . I typically go through 1 tube of eye cream and eye serum each month the other products in my skin care routine typically takes me 2 1/2 months to go through.

BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter. I get this pencil on the BH Cosmetics website for $5 a pencil.

I have tried several brow highlighters over the years, and I always come back to this one. Not only is it inexpensive, it is the creamiest brow pencil I have ever tried. It typically takes me around 2 1/2 months to go through 1 pencil. I have repurchased this pencil currently have 4 back ups.

Benefit Precisely, My Brow Pencil in the shade 4.5, I get this pencil at Ulta for $24, however you can also purchase it through Sephora or the Benefit website for the same price.

I always thought this pencil and this brand was uppity. I never wanted to try it because it just seemed too high brow (no pun intended). I then decided one day to do a full face of Benefit Cosmetics products and fell instantly in love with this pencil!! In fact I fell in love with several things in there line. I have repurchased this pencil and have ordered a back up today.

I purchased both these setting sprays at Ulta … the Milani Make It Last Setting Spray was  $9.99 and the NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray was $8.50.

I had decided to test out a bunch of setting sprays ever since I ran out of my Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray ($33 at Ulta, however you can purchase a 2 pack at Ulta for $42 making each bottle $21). I tested the Milani one in December and the NYX one in January. I liked them both about the same, however when I went to reorder setting sprays, the Milani one was out of stock. I did, however, repurchase the NYX one… I am currently using it this month, and I have a back up of it. I have 9 setting sprays in my backup crate so I don’t need setting spray for a while. I will however repurchase the Milani one as soon as I have gone through more of my backups.

Burberry Brit Perfume. I purchased this at Ulta for $85.

This is such an amazing scent! I get compliments every time I wear this perfume. The top notes of this perfume are  pear, lime and lemongrass. The mid notes are almond and peony and the scent is rounded out with the bottom notes of vanilla, amber, and tonka bean. This is the type of scent that lingers and stays around all day. I can put this perfume on at 7 in the morning and I can still smell it at 9 at night. I have so much perfume that I try not to purchase any more…. however, this scent is so nice that I had to replace it. I have repurchased this perfume.

Well, that’s all for now dolls. Stay tuned for a nice sized makeup haul coming up next.

I hope you are having a good day/night and that you are in good spirits. Remember, Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

December Empties

Published January 16, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

Hey doll hey. Let’s talk trash. I saved my empties last month to show you what I used up for the month. I’ll give a small review and tell you if I would repurchase the items again or not… so let’s jump into it…..

Bioderma Micelle Solution ($14.90 on the Beautylish website for 16.7 fluid ounces): A+++ This product is billed as a French skincare brand whose products are known for being highly effective but gentle enough to use on even the most sensitive skin. I use this everyday twice a day. 1 Bottle normally lasts me about a month 1/2. I use it to remove my makeup and then to cleanse my face daily. I use it in the morning to cleanse my face of my moisturizers and prep my skin for makeup application. I’ve been using it for about 2 years and my skin has never looked better. I always have 2 bottles as back ups just in case I run out a bit faster than I typically do.

Marc Joacobs Daisy Dream Kiss ($54.97 at Nordstorm Rack and on the PerfumeNet website): A+++!!!!                                                                                                                            This perfume’s top notes are Pineapple, Blackcurrant, and Grapefruit. It’s middle notes are Rhubarb, White Freesia, and Jasmine, and it’s bottom notes are Cedar wood, Musk, and Ambrox.  I loved this perfume so much that I went out and purchased the full Daisy line. I have so much perfume that it took me almost a year 1/2 to finish this bottle and even though I have so much perfume I repurchased it. I wore it everyday in the month of December. It’s a very playful scent that is perfect for any occasion.

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray ($33 for 4 fluid ounces at Ulta and Sephora): A+++ This is billed as being a patented Temperature Control Technology, this weightless setting and finishing mist actually lowers the temperature of your makeup and delivers up to 16 hours of fade-proof, flawless makeup. This was the first setting spray I ever purchased and I keep coming back to it. Out of all the setting sprays that I own this is my favorite one. I have already repurchased this one and also purchased a back up because I went 3 2 weeks already without it. It just melts all the powders into your skin so perfectly and it truly makes your makeup last all day.

Shiseido Facial Cotton ($12 for 165 sheets): A+++!!!! This is the only cotton product I use on my face. I love it so much that I already did a dedicated review to it…. you can read that here ->Shiseido Cotton Review  . I feel like this bag lasts for such a long time. I have already repurchased and have a few back ups so I never run out.

Tarte Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara ($23 for .24 fluid ounces at Ulta): C+                              This mascara is billed as being a jet-black, vegan mascara that comes with a molded brush that grabs & coats even the tiniest lashes and has a patented silicone wand with multi-length bristles coat every lash for a longer & thicker look with one stroke. Intense patent black pigments make it easy to get a pro-look with one stroke. Triple-black mineral pigments & more good-for-you ingredients strengthen, condition & give high-impact volume & definition. I don’t know, it was just an OK mascara for me. Sometimes my lashes looked great other times they were clumpy and flaky and other times they were short and stubby. I just used this mascara so that I wouldn’t waste the money but I truly wanted to just chuck it in the bin… I will never repurchase this one.

No 7 Youthful Eye Serum ($16.90 for .5 fluid ounces and I get it on Amazon but you can find it at Ulta): A+++!!!                                                                                                                    This is a very nice eye serum that sinks into the delicate area of the eyes so fast and just leaves the eyes feeling refreshed and hydrated. I use it twice a day (morning and night). It soothes my under eyes after taking off my makeup. This serum isn’t too heavy and really preps the eyes for eye cream. I find that I go through a tube a month. You only need a pea sized amount. I have repurchased this serum.

No 7 Protect and Perfect Intense Advanced Serum ($29.99 for 1 fluid ounce I get it on Amazon but you can find it at Ulta): A+++!!!                                                                                   I use it twice a day every day. Ever since I started using this serum my skin has had a very healthy glow to it. It sinks into the face quickly and leaves the face feeling velvety smooth. I have already repurchased this one and can’t live without it.

No 7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Eye Cream ($21.99 for .5 fluid ounces and I get it from Amazon but you can get it at Ulta): A++                                                                                 I haven’t noticed any smoothing of my fine lines but I have noticed that my normally dry eye area is more supple since using this product. I noticed that my eyeshadow goes on so much easier and less patchy since starting to use this eye cream. I use it twice a day every day and have already repurchased it.

Well that’s all dolls…. see ya tomorrow when I review some more products from Shop Miss A. Until then remember save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
