THE DREAM PALETTE CHALLENGE DAY 5 : DREAM FACE PALETTE

Published July 9, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag
This is a challenge that was created by newlipstickclub1 , shimmershanny , and pan.o.ramics on Instagram.

Day 5: Dream Face Palette: Pick 4 shades from any of your palettes that could be turned into your dream face palette (blush, bronzer, highlight, etc

  • As always the picture on the left will be the picture with no flash and the one on the right will be the one with flash …. All swatches are done on bare skin with no primer and in 1 pass.

The shades that I chose for this dream face palette from left to right are :

Contour : Matte Hung (a grey based deep taupe – matte) from the Balm Meet Matt(e) Nude Palette was $42 but is no longer available on their site …. it can be found on other sites such as Bridgette’s Boutique. I have often used this shade whilst traveling, to save space in my makeup bag, as a contour. What I like most about it is that it’s not overly pigmented so you don’t really have to worry that you’ll go over board and end up with a grey muddy mess. It blends out perfectly and never goes patchy.

Bronzer: Kufuru (syrup brown – matte) from the Warrior II Palette by Juvia’s Place $20 on their website. This shadow is my perfect bronzer shade! It’s got just enough red undertone in it to be a pretty bronzer. It’s super pigmented so you have to go in with a light hand and just a touch of product at a time. This shadow, as a bronzer, lasts all day… even thought the Florida humidity.

Blush: Spiced (a red based mid-toned coral – matte) from the ELF Retro Paradise Palette $14 on their website. I love me a good coral blush … and even though I’ve used eyeshadows as contour and bronzer and highlighter and even lipstick toppers from time to time, I never thought to use one as a blush! This shade when I swatched it for a blush contender was just so beautiful! It’s got the right amount of red to it to make the cheeks look sun kissed and the right saturation of coral to give you pop of color to the cheeks. I plan to use this shade for my next Face of the Day look.

and finally Highlighter: Moremi (white gold – metallic) from the Warrior Palette by Juvia’s Place $20 on their website. I’ve used this shadow as highlighter a few times now. It’s a super beaming highlight so I go in with a fluffy highlighter brush and a super light hand so as to not go over board. But the undertone of this gold shadow is perfect for that everyday sort of highlight.

Well dolls, there you have it … my 4 pan dream face palette. What shades would you pick for your dream face palette?

Hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits and health.

Remember …. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO, Nita

Today we’re diving into my face palettes collection

Benefit Babe on Board *$30 Limited Edition-still available through QVC*

I purchased mine off the Beautylish website.

This is a palette of mini products and you get :

  • Hoola Matte Bronzer (.14 oz): original medium tan with a matte finish
  • Rockabye Powder Blush (.08 oz): warm rose with a natural finish
  • Dandelion Twinkle Powder Highlighter (.05 oz): nude pink with a shimmer finish

This is a super cute palette. Great for travel since it’s a blush, bronzer, and highlight all in one.

Believe Beauty Get Glowing Highlight And Contour Palette $5 only at Dollar General Stores.

This one is in the Light/Medium.

This one reminds me of the Babe on Board Palette… the blushes in both palettes are almost the same tone and the highlights have the same texture.

Again this is a great travel palette and it’s pretty good qaulity.

Rimmel London Kate Sculpting Palette *Discontinued but can be found on Amazon* I have it in the color way Coral Glow.

I purchased this one when I did my full face of Rimmel post.

It’s an OK palette I guess… I’m not wowed by it but I don’t mind using it either. The coral blush is supper pretty, the bronzer and highlighter are a bit lack luster.

California In A Box Bronzer & Blush Palette $14.99 for .5 ounces of product at Ulta.

You get 2 Matte Bronzers , 1 satin and 1 matte blush is a pretty coral shade and 1 champagne highlighter.

This is a pretty good palette.

Makeup Geek Palette I put together The 3 blushes are the same color Spellbound (a salmon coral matte) and the blush is Sunkissed (warm light brown)

these colors are available in the re-brand in square pans.

BH Cosmetics Glowing in Greece 6 Color Blush and Highlighter Palette $16 on their website.

You get 3 blushes and 3 highlighters (all 3 blushes are satin).

This is a great palette!!! I truly enjoy reaching for this one.

Tarte Treasures Collector Set *Was limited edition* This is a complete face palette… has blush bronzer highlighter and eyeshadows.

This palette just doesn’t impress me that much. It’s a pretty color scheme but this is just a lack luster palette … great for a beginner but not my favorite palette of the moment.

Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look in a Palette Gorgeous, Glowing Beauty $75 on the Beautylish website.

While this palette is pretty and I love Charlotte Tilbury … this palette just isn’t worth $75. I have other lower price point palettes that I can get more versatility out of.

Profusion Eye & Cheek The Artistry Palette $10 on their website.

This Palette has both warm and cool tones and the qaulity is freaking amazing.

This one might be a little on the big side but it’s thin and so still travel friendly.

Well that’s all dolls. Hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits and health.

Remember … Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO
