Cool Toned Smokey Eye Face of the Day

Published February 10, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

Hey doll hey!!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m having an OK day. I’m in a ton of pain and have very low energy today, but I got up…showered…and did my makeup before having to rest today. Today I have 5 more products to test out to see if they will remain part of my makeup collection or not. Those items are… CoverGirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir Foundation, Loreal True Match Lumi Glow Nude Highlighter Palette, The Balm Meet Matt(e) Nude Palette, Makeup Geek Fair Skin Bronzer, and ELF Sheer Tint Finishing Powder. As per the norm I will discuss these items in Final Thoughts. So let’s jump into the Face of the Day ….

20200210_131838

Base: I primed my face using Marc Jacobs Under(Cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer ($45 at Sephora). I color corrected using Tarte CC Undereye Corrector ($25 on the Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Light-Medium. My foundation today is CoverGirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir Foundation (discontinued but still available at Walmart for $10.99) in the shade 740 Natural Beige. To conceal my under eyes I used Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer ($22 at Ulta) in the shade No. 5. I set the face using ELF Sheer Tint Finishing Powder ($6 on their website) in the shade Light-Medium. The foundation and powder combo made my skin look so dark that I ended up baking most of my face …. I set my under eyes, baked my jaw line, tops of the cheeks, bridge of the nose, and center of the forehead using RCMA No Color Powder ($15 on the Beautylish website). After I dusted off the bake I lightly bronzed the perimeter of my face and nose using Makeup Geek Fair Skin Bronzer (discontinued do to the rebranding) in the shade Sunkissed.

Eyes: I primed my lids using NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer ($30 at Sephora) in the shade Medium 1 Custard and set that using Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder ($39 at Sephora) in the shade Translucent. I used The Balm Meet Matt(e) Nude Palette ($42 still available at Camera Ready’s website) for most of my eye look today. For my 1st transition color I chose the shade Matt Singh (a dusty mauve matte). For my 2nd transition color I used the shade Matt Rosen (a cool toned chocolate brown matte). To deepen the crease I used the shade Matt Garcia (a cool toned mid-tone brown matte). I moved to my mobile lid and took the shade Matt Malloy (a bright flat white matte) all over the mobile lid. I then took the AOA Studio Velour Eyeshadow ($1 on the Shop Miss A website) in the shade Virgin (an icy pink cream to powder) all over the inner 2/3 of my mobile lid. I then took the shade Matt Wood (a cool toned deep brown matte) to the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid and to also deepen the outer v. I then took more of Matt Garcia and patted it over the middle 1/3 to help blend the outer and inner 1/3 of the mobile lid. On the lower lash line I created a soft drop shadow using the shade Matt Singh and then using Matt Garcia I lined the lower lash line. I highlighted the inner corners using Urban Decay Single Eyeshadow () in the shade Urban Cowboy. I set my brows using Pixi by Petra Brow Tamer ($10 at Target) in clear and then filled in my brows using ELF Ultra Precise Brow Pencil ($5 at Ulta and on the ELF website) in the shade Dark Brown. I carved out my brow line using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and set that using more of the shade Matt Malloy. I lined my lower waterlines using ColourPop BFF Gel Liner ($6 on their website) in the shade Get Paid (rose gold metallic). For mascara I used The Balm What’s Your Type? in the shade Black.

Cheeks and Lips: For blush today I chose Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-HR Blush ($29 at Ulta and Sephora) in the color Blissful (a rose pink matte). I highlighted the tops of my cheeks, bridge of the nose, Cupid’s Bow, and center of the forehead using Loreal True Match Lumi Glow Nude Highlighter Palette ($11.99 at Target) in the color Sun Soleil. I lined my lips using Loreal 6-HR Infallible Never Fail Lip Liner ($8.99 at Target) in the shade Coral. I then filled in my lips using The Balm Meet Matt(e) Hughes ($17 on their website) in the shade Doting (a coral based peach). I then topped the lips off with Physicians Formula Butter Lip Cream ($8.49 on their website) in the shade Guava Mama (a bright coral peach).

Final Thoughs:

CoverGirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir Foundation:                                                                                  I really love this foundation so much. It looks beautiful on the face. However, the shade I have is way too dark for me now. I didn’t really even need to bronze my face, that’s how dark this foundation is. You can still find this foundation on Amazon and at Walmart, but the shade I need is 725 Buff Beige and it’s $20 on Amazon only…. I refuse to pay $20 for a drug store foundation! As much as I love this foundation I have decluttered it from my collection since I can’t get the shade I need.

Loreal True Match Lumi Glow Nude Highlighter Palette:                                                      When I purchased this palette from Ulta 2 of the shades were completely smashed and I never got around to calling them for a replacement. The 2 shades that survived are a bit too dark for me, and then there is the fact that this highlighter is glittery. I just don’t enjoy this highlighter. I have decluttered it from my collection.

The Balm Meet Matt(e) Nude Palette:                                                                                                I purchased my palette on the Brigettes Boutique website for $40, this can also be found on the Camera Ready website. I don’t reach for this palette a ton, mainly because I have a ton of eyeshadow. I really love the looks I can create with this palette. There is barely any kick back in the pans and no fall out on the face. The shades blend out so easily and the shades buff into each other with out going muddy. The shadows are a tad bit drier of a formula but there doesn’t seem to be any skipping or patchiness.  I will not be decluttering this palette from my collection.

Makeup Geek Fair Skin Bronzer:                                                                                                       I am so hoping that with this rebrand that Makeup Geek comes out with bronzers and blushes in the same shade family that I already have. I truly love this bronzer. It’s a great everyday tone. It never goes on patchy and it buffs into the skin wonderfully. I will not be decluttering this from my collection.

ELF Sheer Tint Finishing Powder:                                                                                               This shade range is so bizarre. For being a light-medium shade this shade is so orange. It’s a nice powder but the shade just doesn’t do it for me. I may at some point pick up the fair-light shade, but for now I have decluttered this one from my collection.

Well there you have it …. out of the 5 products on the chopping block, I chose to declutter 3 and keep 2. My makeup collection is starting to come together nicely and tomorrow I will be testing another handful of products to see if I will declutter them. In the meantime, I hope you have a great rest of your day/night, and that you are with as low pain as possible (for those of you with auto-immune illnesses) and that you are with plenty of spoons. Remember save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO

Loreal Full Face Product Review

Published January 11, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

IMG_20200109_141141_605

Hey doll hey. Today I review a full face of Loreal cosmetics. The only thing I didn’t purchase was a bronzer because the 2 that Loreal has are a bit too shimmery for me. I also thought I had the Loreal Makeup Setting Spray but I didn’t so I used a different setting spray. So lets get started….

BASE PRODUCTS:

Loreal Infallible Glow-Lock Illuminating Primer ($10.99 at Target): A+                              You get 1 fluid ounce of product in the tube. It’s billed that it primes for makeup, perfects and illuminates while it hydrates skin for a better makeup application. This primer does not have any glitter in it but it has a shimmer to it. It felt hydrating and left my bare skin looking radiant and healthy. It does emphasize pores so you will need to go in with a pore blurring primer but foundation went on over this primer beautifully. I like this primer more than I liked the Loreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer. It’s a great dupe for the BECCA Backlight Priming Filter, it’s not as shimmery as the BECCA one is but the effect under foundation comes out being almost identical.

Loreal Infallible 24-HR Fresh Wear Foundation ($11.99 at Target): A++!!                           You get 1 fluid ounce in this pumped bottle. It comes in 40 shades with 10 shades for deeper skin tones. This foundation is billed as being a medium-to-full buildable coverage that lasts all day and allows the skin to breathe. The formula’s three oil absorbers resist sweat, water, and transfer. The ultra-thin liquid goes on smoothly to give a fresh, healthy-looking complexion that lasts. This formula is very thin and more on the watery side of the foundation spectrum. This is a dewy foundation that blends out like a dream! It does not set down so you do need to set it with powder, but you do not need a lot of powder to lock this foundation in place. I tested this foundation on the back of my hand and i can honestly say this is not a water resistant foundation… other then that claim being debunked this foundation is amazing!! It doesn’t emphasize texture on the skin, it melts into the skin flawlessly, and it did not take a lot to blend it in. I am so going to love using this foundation. If it works this well every time I use it I will definitely be repurchasing this one.

Loreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer ($5.99 at Target): A-                                                      You get .33 fluid ounces of product with a big sized doe-foot applicator. The shade I chose was way too dark for me so I used a bit of foundation mixer to lighten it …. see the picture above for before and after with the mixer. It’s offered in 25 shades with 13 shades for deeper skin tones. It’s billed as being  full coverage with a flawless matte finish and as being a multi-use formula doubling as a contour/highlight product. This formula does set down and does not settle into my fine lines, however without setting this one it did crease on me … I just patted it out and set it down with a powder and it hasn’t creased the rest of the day. This is a thick concealer and a little goes a long way. It doesn’t completely cover dark circles under the eyes so a little color correcting is needed, but it was a very pretty concealer. I may try to do some cream contouring with the shade I have since their claims are that it can be used to contour… I need a bit more time with this product to see if I will repurchase it but it seems to be a great concealer.

20200111_155944

For reference this is the Foundation Mixer I use to lighten my face products.

I used my Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte 16-HR Powder to set my face … I already have graded this powder and have done several reviews on it so I will not be including it here… spoiler … I love this powder very much.

EYE PRODUCTS:

Loreal Paradise Enchanted Palette ($11.99 at Target): A                                                                 You get .25 ounces of product in this palette. This palette is scented… it’s suppose to smell like peaches but it just smells like peach candies and is not heavenly scented so if you are sensitive to scents you should be OK with this one. The shadows are very pigmented but a tiny bit chalky. The formula is finely milled. The shadows blend out easily and layer on each other well… there is no muddling or patchiness when blending one shade into another one. This is a ton of kick back with this palette and some fallout with the matte shades and tons of fallout with the shimmer shades. I always do my eyes first so that doesn’t really bother me too much as I can just clean it up with a bit of Bioderma on a cotton pad. This palette is amazing, however I scored it lower because there is glitter in the shimmers and there is a moderate amount of glitter fallout. Other then that it’s a great palette to own. I’ll continue to use it, but I think I may have to use the shimmers with a glitter glue to prevent the glitter fallout.

Loreal Infallible Longwear Eye Pencil ($7.99 at Target): A+++!!!                                           You get .042 ounces of product in this pencil. It comes in 15 shades. This is billed as a long lasting waterproof creamy eyeliner…. and it’s a true claim. I purchased 2 shades, black and nude. Both colors gave me a hard time removing the swatches, I had to scrub pretty hard to get them off. This pencil doesn’t smudge, doesn’t bleed, doesn’t transfer, and doesn’t fade. They are so long lasting, in fact, that I haven’t even needed to reapply the nude to my waterline all day. They both went on smoothly, without skipping over the delicate skin of my lids and without tugging at the delicate skin of my waterline. I can tell this two pencils are going to be staples in my makeup routine and I will most certainly be repurchasing them when I use out.

20200111_152328

Loreal Voluminous Base ($6.79 at Target) and Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara ($6.79 at Target): Both these items I have reviewed and mentioned numerous times so I won’t bore you …. I just will say they are A+++!!!! items for me and ones that I can not live without.

Loreal 24-HR Infallible Eye Shadow ($6.99 at Walmart): A+                                                   You get .12 ounces of product in each pot. I have two … in the picture above I have the one on the left is Endless pearl and the one on the right is Amber Rush. This shadow comes in 21 shades. It’s billed as being a revolutionary formula that fuses the ease of a powder with the velvety caress of a cream to create a unique hybrid that glides on effortlessly. This eye shadow is a spot on dupe for the Hikari Cream Pigments. They are buttery and blend on to the lids smoothly, with a high color payoff. I really enjoyed using this product and am planing to purchase more shades.

Loreal Colour Riche Monos Eye Shadow ($2.99 at Target): A+++ You get .12 ounces of product  in each compact. It comes in 20 shades. It is billed as having  gel-to-powder technology. I can honestly say it is a gel to powder finish as the one I purchased came broken and all I had to do was push the product down into the pan and it healed the break. In the picture above it is the one in the middle. The shadow is highly pigmented and has no kick back or fallout. It blends and buffs in so perfectly. I am wanting more shades and I normally pass on single shadows. Great little find.

Loreal Brow Stylist Definer Ultra Fine Tip Shaping Pencil ($7.99 at Target): C+                You get .003 ounces of product in this self sharpened pencil. It comes in 7 shades. I liked the shade of this pencil, but it’s a bit of a let down. It blocked my brows perfectly but when it came time to fill in the brows it got crumbly and beaded up on the areas when my hair is sparse. The more I tried to make this pencil work the more crumbly it got. The more I tried to get it to adhere to the bald areas the more it beaded up. There were lots of gaps in the brow line, I just couldn’t get this to work for me. It made a good blocking pencil and that is the way I will use this pencil, I just wont be using it to fill in my brows anymore. I really wanted this one to work out…. it’s a pass for me after I use it up.

Loreal Brow Stylist Boost & Set Volumizing Brow Mascara ($5.29 at Target): B-                You get .10 ounces of product. It comes in 4 shades. The wand on this product is bizarre. It was difficult to use but once I got going it became easier to use. The product globed up on my brow hairs and I had to use a spooly to distribute the product into the brows… it skips over the bare areas and so I used a brush to apply product there. It holds the brows in place without being too crunchy or too flaky. It was better than the pencil, but I have other brow gels that work better than this one. I’ll use it up but I wont repurchase.

CHEEK and LIP PRODUCTS:

Loreal True Match Super-Blendable Blush ($7.99 at Taget): A-                                              You get .21 ounces of product in the compact. It comes in 10 shades. This was a beautiful blush however it has glitter in it. I guess it’s meant to be a satin but the glitter is too big to pass as a satin. It blended in beautifully and buffed on to the skin without being patchy but the glow is a bit to off putting for me. I really love the shade I chose and will continue to use it, however I will forgo highlighter on the days that I use this blush. I don’t see me purchasing other shades because of the glitter in it but I definitely will use up the blush that I purchased because it is a nice blush, I just prefer matte or demi matte blushes.

Loreal True Match Lumi Glow Nude Highlighter Palette ($11.99 at Target): B+++ You get .26 ounces of product in this palette … mine had a mishap in the mail and the two lightest shades arrived shattered so I was only able to use the top right shade as the bottom right shade is too dark as a highlighter for me. They offer 2 color stories for this product. It’s a good highlighter but it has a ton of glitter in it… this melts into the skin once you set your face with setting spray but when you wipe it off a ton of glitter is left behind …. I’ll use this once in a while but I don’t see me reaching for it often because of the glitter it leaves behind…. see the next picture for what I mean….

20200111_152316

After washing off the highlighter swatches there was a ton of glitter left behind.

Loreal Colour Riche Lipstick ($5.99 at Target): A+++                                                                You get .13 ounce of product in the bullet. They 42 shades. This lipstick is super creamy for being a matte lipstick. The color payoff is amazing. It has that classic Loreal Lipstick scent to it that dissipates as time goes on. I did notice it’s not the longest wearing lip color I’ve tried from the Loreal line, but it did last a descent amount of time. It wears down evenly and does not feather. I forgot how much I like the Loreal lipstick line and may have to purchase a few more shades.

Loreal Colour Riche Shine Lipstick ($7.99 at Target): A-                                                          You get .12 ounces of product in the bullet. It comes in 16 shades. This lipstick feels like a lip balm. It’s so creamy and so slick that alone it would not wear well, but it does layer over lipstick very well. It’s not long lasting I had to reapply at least 7 times today, but the feel of this lipstick is so good that I didn’t really mind reapplying it. It’s pretty pigmented for being as emollient as it is. Even though it’s not long lasting I am definitely purchasing other shades …. I will use them sort of the same way I use lip gloss, as a lip topper.

Well That’s all for now dolls. Stay tuned tomorrow, I’ll be doing a full face of Revolution Pro (Makeup Revolution) makeup and review. Hope your night or day is going good and remember, save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO

Full Face of Loreal Cosmetics Face of the Day

Published January 11, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

20200111_130735

Hello dolls. I hope you are having a great Saturday. I had a hard time falling asleep last night due to the pain. Because of that i over slept again today. It’s raining here in Florida and that’s causing more pain. I feel out of sorts today between over sleeping, being in pain, and not really feeling like doing my makeup. But I pushed through and here is the results. Today I am reviewing Loreal Cosmetics full face of makeup. This post will be the Face of the Day post with no Final Thoughts, and the next post will be a full on review of all the products I tried…. so let’s get started.

20200111_130555

Base: I primed my face using the Loreal Infallible Glow-Lock Illuminating Primer ($12.99 at Ulta). I used a bit of ELF Poreless Putty Primer ($8 on their website) to blur my pores and the space between my brows. For foundation I am using Loreal Infallible 24-HR Fresh Wear Foundation ($14.99 at Ulta) in the color 420 True Beige. As my concealer I am using Loreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer ($13.49 at Ulta) …. I chose the shade 370 Biscuit which ended up being way to dark for me so I lightened it using NYX Pro Foundation Mixer ($10 on the NYX website) in the color White to mix into the concealer and that worked perfectly. I set my full face using Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte 16-HR Powder ($12.99 at Ulta) in the color 200 Natural Beige. I didn’t like either choice of bronzer that Loreal offers so to warm up my face I am using Benefit Hoola Bronzer ($30 at Ulta).

20200111_130608

Eyes: I primed my lids using Tarte Shape Tape ($27 at Ulta) in the color Light-medium Honey. For most of my eye look today I am using the Loreal Paradise Enchanted Scented Eye Shadow Palette ($14.99 at Ulta). I used the 2nd shade on the 1st row (a cream colored matte) to set the Shape Tape. For my transition shade I used the 3rd color of the 3rd row (a deep terra cotta matte). I also took this color to the outer 1/2 of my mobile lid. I blended the edges of both shades using the 1st shade of the 2nd row (a pale peach matte). I deepened the outer 1/2 of my crease and outer 1/3 of my lid with the 2nd shade of the 4th row (a deep reddish brown matte). I then used the Loreal 24-HR Infallible Eye Shadow ($5.94 at Walmart ) in the color Amber Rush (an Amber shimmer) on the inner 1/2 of my mobile lid. I then used the Loreal 24-HR Infallible Eye Shadow ($5.94 at Walmart) in the color Endless Pearl (a cream colored satin) on the inner 1/3 of the lid. I then went back into the palette and put the 3rd color of the 2nd row (a peachy bronze shimmer) on the inner middle 3rd of the lid i used  the 3rd color of the 1st row (a peach with silver reflect shimmer). I also used this shade to highlight the inner corners. I then used the Loreal Colour Riche Eyeshadow Single ($2.99 at Target) in the color 308 Matte-ison Avenue (a deep true brown matte) to deepen up the utter v. I used the same reddish brown matte shade that I used in my crease to create a drop shadow on my lower lash line. To line my upper lash line I used Loreal Infallible Longwear Eye Pencil ($8.99 at Ulta) in the color Black and for my waterline I used the Loreal Infallible Longwear Eye Pencil ($8.99 at Ulta) in the color Nude Beige. For my brows I am using Loreal Brow Stylist Definer Ultra-Fine Tip Shaping Pencil ($8.99 at Ulta) in the color Dark Brunette and followed that up using Loreal Brow Stylist Boot & Set Volumizing  Brow Mascara ($10.99 at Ulta) in the color Dark Brunette. I carved out my brow line with the BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and set that with the 1st shade of the 1st row (a white satin) of the palette. I primed my lashes using the Loreal Voluminous Base ($6.79 at Target) and followed that with the Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara ($6.79 at Target).

20200111_130637

Cheeks and Lips: I used Loreal True Match Super Blendable Blush ($11.99 at Ulta) in the color Barely Blushing (a warm deep peach satin). To highlight the tops of my cheeks, center of my forehead, nose, and Cupid’s Bow I used the Loreal True Match Lumi Glow Nude Highlighter Palette ($11.99 at Target) in the color Sun (a golden shade). I forgot I had a Loreal Lip Liner so I used NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner ($4 at Ulta) in the color Whipped Caviar to line my lips. I filled in my lips using Loreal Colour Riche Lipstick ($10.99 at Ulta) in the color 802 MATTE-sterpiece (a soft coral nude matte) and I topped the center of my lips using Loreal Colour Riche Shine Lipstick ($10.99 at Ulta) in the color 910 Shining Peach.

Well that’s all for now dolls… see ya in my next post to review the products I used.

Remember save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO

Bronzey Smokey Eye Face of the Day

Published December 7, 2019 by aspooniesmakeupbag

Good morning dolls. We made it to the weekend!! I hope the day finds you with plenty of spoons. I woke up stiff and my Rheumatoid Arthritis is acting up, which is common for cold weather days. I had an abundance of spoons today so I tackled a bronzey smokey eye.

I used the ColourPop Brown Sugar eye shadow palette again today. I have really been enjoying the ColourPop shadows. They go on so buttery and blend like a dream.

20191207_090752 Well let’s get started.

Base: For primer I used the Tarte Poreless Mattifying Primer ($32 at Ulta, Sephora, and Tarte’s website) again; I’m trying to use it up since I don’t like the smell, and will not be repurchasing it. Today’s foundation is NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation ($49 at Sephora and NARS’s website) in the color Fiji. For the 3rd day in a row I have woken up with dark circles do to not being able to sleep because of pain, so I used my Tarte CC undereye corrector ($25 at Ulta Sephora and Tarte’s website) in the color light medium. I used Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Concealer (was $25 is now discontinued) in the color medium 22. To bronze my skin I used The Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel ($50 on the Chanel website) in the color Bronze Universal. I set my whole face, including undereyes, with the Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder ($39 at Sephora and on the Laura Mercier website) in the color Translucent.

20191207_090827

Eyes: I primed my eyes with the Tarte Shape Tape ($19 at Ulta) in the color Light Medium Honey. I chose the ColourPop Brown Sugar Eye Shadow Palette ($15 on the ColourPop website ) and set my lids with the color Chai. As my transition color I chose Jamocha. My crease color is Choc, I also used Choc on the outer 1/3 of my lid. For the outer v I picks a combination of Sorrel and Henna. To line my lower lash line I used a combination of Henna and Choc and then used what was left of Jamocha on my brush to defuse the hard line of eye shadow. On my lids I used Auburn, which I applied with my finger for for maximum payoff. For the inner corner highlight I used Ginger. I then switched to the Going Coconuts palette from ColourPop ($12 on the ColourPop website) and used Shredded for my brow bone highlight. My brows I used the combination of the Ultra Precise Brow Pencil ($5 on the ELF website) and Wow Brow ($4 on the ELF website) from ELF. My liner today is the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner ($20 at Sephora) in Mad Max Brown. For my lashes I used the Loreal Voluminous Base ($5.99 at Target) and paired it with the Balm Whats Your Type? mascara ($19 on The Blam website). On my water line I used The Balm Mr. Write eyeliner ($13 on Balm’s website) in the color Seymour Datenights.

20191207_090857

Cheeks and Lips:  Today I chose a subtle highlight. I used MAC Mineralize SkinFinish ($36 at MAC and Ulta) in the color Warm Rose. For blush I used NARS blush ($30 at Sephora) in Orgasm. My Lip combo today is Kat Von D Everlasting Lip Pencil ($19 at Sephora) in the color Bow N Arrow and MAC Matte Lipstick ($18.50 at MAC and Sephora) in Velvet Teddy. I added the tiniest amount of  the eye shadow Auburn to the center of my lips.

20191207_090809

Final Thoughts:

The NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation comes in 20 shades (6 shades for deeper skin) and is billed as a full coverage foundation. At best it is a high medium coverage foundation.

Tarte CC undereye corrector is my favorite under eye treatment. It gets the under eye bright and dewy. I hope it’s never discontinued.

Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Concealer was discontinued and that makes me a sad panda. This concealer is so good!!! It’s thick enough to cover tattoos but thin enough for the under eye.

Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel is my favorite bronzer in my collection. It’s a cream to powder formula that melts into the skin effortlessly. It makes the skin look tan, not look like a fake tan. I even use it on days where I am not wearing makeup. It’s so worth the $50 price tag. You get a ton of product even though it looks like there isn’t a lot of product you actually get 30 grams of bronzer.

The is a reason that the Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder is the only setting powder I gravitate to. It’s velvety smooth and,,as long as you use small amounts and build as you go,  it never looks cakey.

Tarte Shape Tape is a thick concealer…. I didn’t like it under my eyes but I love it as a primer for my lids. I do you this concealer on my hormonal break outs (its a good spot treatment) but I never use it to correct the skin.

I can’t say enough about the ColourPop eye shadows!! They are so buttery, so pigmented, so blendable, and so affordable!! ColourPop Brown Sugar is a great little neutral toned palette. So is the Going Coconuts palette.  I’ve only had these palettes for a week and I can’t get enough of them.

The Kat Von D Tattoo Liner is by far my favorite liquid liner. It glides on smoothly is opaque and dries down matte. It never feathers into the fine lines of my lids and it never fades. It’s a long lasting formula too.

Loreal Voluminous Base is a lash primer that I use anytime I am not using my tried and true Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara. The only time I do not use it, is if I am testing out a new mascara. It really adds thickness and length to the lashes

The Balm Whats Your Type? mascara is slowly gaining my heart. It’s not as black or as voluptuous as the Carbon Black is, but it is a close enough comparison.

The Balm Mr. Write eyeliner in the color Seymour Datenights is flesh toned eyeliner that is great for the water line. It’s not as bright as the NYX FAUX Whites pencil is but it worked really well for today’s look. It’s just bright enough to give the water liner a little pop.

The Precisely Brow and the Wow Brow are my favorite brow products now. I haven’t even looked at my brow powder since trying these. ELF is killing it with products these days.

MAC Mineralize SkinFinish in Warm Rose is the most subtle highlighter I have ever tried. It’s not a glowly highlight, it’s more of a brightening highlighter that works good on smokey eye days. This one is a bit light for my skin in the colder months but looks amazing when I have a tan.

My NARS blush in Orgasm is a mini. This is the first time I am trying this cult classic and boy do I get the hype behind it!!! I just purchased the full size version. It’s prettiest coral blush I own, and I own heaps of coral blushes. It is my second favorite NARS blush (Dolce Vita being the first favorite).

The Kat Von D Everlasting Lip Pencils are some of my favorite formula. They are so creamy and pigmented and they stay put all day. In fact at the end of the day when my lipstick is gone these lip liners are still in place. They are so creamy that I have on occasion used them as a lipstick.

MAC Matte Lipstick  in Velvet Teddy is my favorite nude lip. It’s painful for me to use because it was the first lipstick I tried by MAC and the person who introduced me to it was my best friend who passed away a few months ago. It’s a matte formula that doesn’t feel drying. Is it just me or do MAC lipsticks smell like cupcakes???

Well that’s all for now beauty babies. I hope the weekend finds you pain free, or as close to pain free as a spoonie can be, and having plenty of spoons.

Until next time dolls, remember to reserve a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO
