Chocolate Smokey Eye Face of the Day

Published April 5, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I had a hard time staying asleep last night so I ended up sleeping in today. I’m in a world of pain today because it’s raining here in Florida. I woke up wanting to do a smokey eye look again and so this is what I came up with. Today’s scent is Lancome La Vie Est Belle. So let’s jump into this Face of the Day ….

20200405_155242

Base:                                                                                                                                                         I primed my face using Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer ($54 at Sephora). For foundation today I used a combo of 5 pumps of BECCA Backlight Priming Filter ($39 at Sephora) and 2 full dollops of NYX Born to Glow Naturally Radiant Foundation ($10 at Ulta) in the shade Nude. I color corrected using Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate ($12 at Target) in the shade Brightening Peach. I used 2 dots of L’Oreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer ($13.49 at Ulta) in the shade 360 Cashmere. I set my full face using Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder ($33 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Translucent. I warmed up my face using Benefit Boxed Bronzer ($30 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Hoola. For touch up powder today I am using Catrice Prime and Fine Mattifying Waterproof Powder ($7.49 at Ulta) in the shade transparent.

Eyes:                                                                                                                                                           I primed my lids using P.Louise Base ($10 pound sterling/ $12.08 USD on their website… can also be found on the Morphie website for $15) in the shade Rumour 0.5 and today I chose not to set the base. For today’s eye look I used the Catrice Cosmetics Basic Bae Palette ($14.99 at Ulta). I covered my full eye area (from lash to brow) using the shade #MCM  (a mid toned red based brown matte). For my full mobile lid I first laid down the shade #WCW (deep chocolate brown metallic) and then I layered that with the shade #MAU (a dull bronze metallic) and then I layered more of #WCW (deep chocolate brown metallic) over the top. I then took just a hint of #MOTD (soft orange based brown matte) and blended out the edge of my shadow at the brow bone to give a hint of definition. For the lower lash line I created a drop shadow using more of #MOTD and deepening my lash line using more of the shade #MCM. I highlighted my inner corneres using the shade Twinning (a dull yellow gold metallic). I lined my lower waterlines using Charlotte Tilbury Eye Powder Pencil ($22 at Sephora) in the shade The Classic (a dusty deep brown).  I set my brows using the soap brow method and then filled in my brows using ELF Lock On Liner & Brow Cream ($4 on their website) in the shade Medium Brown. I carved out my brow line using the BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and set the brow line using the shade #Basic (a creamy vanilla matte). I popped on a paid of Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes ($11.99 for a 2 pack at Ulta) in the style Flirty and then I coated my upper and lower lashes with L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara ($8.99 at Ulta).

Cheeks and Lips:                                                                                                                                For blush tonight I chose Milani Rose Powder Blush ($9.49 at Ulta) in the shade 08 Tea Rose (dusty mauve matte).  I highlighted my Cupid’s Bow, tops of the cheeks, center of the chin, bridge of the nose, and high points of the brows using the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed ($38 at Sephora ) in the shade Champagne Pop (soft gold with pinky-peach pearl). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Little One (light pinky nude) and topped off my lips using ColourPop Lippie Stix ($7 on their website) in the shade Cookie (warm brown nude matte).

Final Thoughts:                                                                                                                                 The abrasion on my lip is still pretty sore. I’ve made a homemade lip salve that I got from the tree huggers website. This has helped the abrasion heal a bit. I wear it at night and in the day I alternate between Neosporin and O’keeffe’s Cooling Lip Repair. This combo seems to be helping a lot.

Well that’s all for now dolls. Have a safe and healthy rest of your day/night. Remember …. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

Hey doll hey!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I woke up late today… had a hard time staying asleep last night.

Today I am wear Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream perfume. Today I wanted a smokey look so this is what I came up with …. Let’s jump into this Face of the Day ….

Base:                                                                                                                                                         I primed my face using Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer (). For foundation today I used a combo of 3 drops of NYX Pro Foundation Mixer (discontinued) in the shades Deep (a dark grey brown enhancer) and 5 drops of NYX Pro Foundation Mixer (discontinued) Warm (an orange based enhancer), 5 pumps of BECCA Backlight Priming Filter and 2 droppers of Joah Cosmetics Truly Yours Natural Finish Foundation Drop ($6.65 on their website) in the shade Natural Ivory (this shade is just about 1/2 a shade too light for me, that’s why I used the mixers). I color corrected my under eyes using Joah Cosmetics Truly Yours Dark Circle Concealer ($8.50 on their website) in the shade Neutralizer. I concealed my under eyes using 2 dots of JCat Beauty Staysurance Water Sealed Zero Smudge Concealer ($7.99 at Ulta) in the shade Custard.

For my transition shade I used the color #Squad (light peach nude matte). For my crease I used the shade #MOTD (soft orange based brown matte). I deepened the outer 1/3 of my mobile lid and the outer v and just a bit into the crease using the shade #TBT (deep cool tone brown with a hint of grey matte). The remaining 2/3 of my mobile lid I used the shade #NoFilter (an dull gold metallic). I then took the shade #MCM (a mid toned red based brown matte) and patted that over the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid to blend the out and inner 1/3 together… I then took a bit of the shade #MAU (a dull bronze metallic) and patted that over the line between the inner and middle 1/3 to add a bit of dimension. For my lower lash line I created a drop shadow using more of the shade #MOTD and then used more of the shade #MCM to deepen the lash line. I took more of the shade #NoFilter and added that to the inner 1/3 of the lower lash line. I highlighted my inner corners using the shade #Twinning (a dull yellow gold metallic). I lined my lower water line using Joah Cosmetics Make Her Gel-ous Gel Eyeliner ($8.50 on their website and at CVS) in the shade Purple.

Cheeks and Lips:                                                                                                                               For blush tonight I chose ColourPop Pressed Powder Blush ($8 on their website) in the shade Catch My Vibe (pale baby pink matte).  I highlighted my Cupid’s Bow, tops of the cheeks, center of the chin, bridge of the nose, and high points of the brows using the Rachh Loves & Pixi Beauty The Layers Highlighting Palette ($24 at Target) and using a combo of the shades Knit (a caramel rose gold with a golden flip) and the shade Clutch (soft white yellow gold). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil (this shade only sold in the Big Box of Lippie Pencils Vault on their website) in the shade Oh Sis (smoked paprika) and topped off my lips using ColourPop Lippie Stix ($7 on their website) in the shade Goal Digger (warm rose matte).

20200404_182625

Final Thoughts:                                                                                                                                Well I finally figured out how to mix this foundation to get a better match for me … the key was to use more of the warm shade and less of the deep shade… it’s still a bit off bit off but I finally figured out I need it to have a hint of olive in it so I ordered the Olive mixer by NYX off Amazon today …. I should have that next week.

In the meantime this foundation pairs beautifully with mix ins … especially with glow drops. I have found that I am loving this foundation more now that I am not pairing it with the Joah loose powder…. It’s skin like but matte … but not so matte that it comes off mask like.

Well that’s all for now dolls. Hope you are healthy and in great spirits. Remember …. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

Brown Sugar Glam Face of the Day

Published April 3, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing pretty good today. My pain level is around a 6 (this is my baseline pain level… meaning that this is my typical pain level… I very seldom have a pain level lower than 5 or 6) and I have a moderate amount of energy today!! I woke up wanting to use my ColourPop Brown Sugar Palette (discontinued … was a limited edition palette). Today I am wearing YLS Mon Paris perfume today. Well … let’s jump into this Face of the Day ….

20200403_154317

Base:                                                                                                                                                         I primed my face using L’Oreal Infallible Glow-Lock Illuminating Primer ($12.99 at Ulta) and then used a bit of Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Sephora) to blur my pores. For foundation today I used a combo of 3 drops each of NYX Pro Foundation Mixer (discontinued) in the shades Deep (a dark grey brown enhancer) and Warm (an orange based enhancer) and 2 droppers of Joah Cosmetics Truly Yours Natural Finish Foundation Drop ($6.65 on their website) in the shade Natural Ivory (this shade is just about 1/2 a shade too light for me, that’s why I used the mixers). I color corrected my under eyes using Joah Cosmetics Truly Yours Dark Circle Concealer ($8.50 on their website) in the shade Neutralizer. I used 4 dots of Joah Cosmetics  Wand Me Up Concealer ($6.50 on their website) in the shade Ivory.

20200403_154302

Eyes:                                                                                                                                                         I primed my lids using P.Louise Base ($10 pound sterling/ $12.08 USD on their website… can also be found on the Morphie website for $15) in the shade Rumour 0.5 and today I chose not to set the base. For today’s eye look I used the ColourPop Brown Sugar Palette (discontinued … was a limited edition palette). For my Transition shade I used the color Jamoca (light medium orange based brown matte). I deepened the outer 1/3 of my mobile lid and the crease and outer v using the shade Sorrel (medium dark brown with a hint of grey matte). For the remaining 2/3 of my mobile lid I used the shade Auburn (warm deep bronze metallic). I then used the shade Saute (taupe with a green shift metallic) over the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid to blend the inner and outer 1/3 together. For the lower lash line I created a drop shadow using more of the shade Jamoca (light medium orange based brown matte). I then used more of the Auburn (warm deep bronze metallic) on the inner 2/3 of the lower lash line. I highlighted my inner corners using the shade Ginger (a peachy gold metallic). I lined my water lines using ColourPop BFF Creme Gel Liner ($6 on their website) in the shade Get Paid (rose gold metallic). I set my brows using the soap brow method and then filled in my brows using Joah Cosmetics Brow Down To Me Precision Brow Pencil ($6.65 on their website) in the shade Black Brown. I carved out my brow line using the BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the shimmer sides and set the brow line using the shade L’Oreal 24-HR Infallible Eyeshadow ($7.99 at Walmart) in the shade 899 Endless Pearl (a creamy ivory matte). I popped on a paid of Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes ($11.99 for a 2 pack at Ulta) in the style Flirty and then I coated my upper and lower lashes with L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara ($8.99 at Ulta).

20200403_154352 (1)

I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($7 on their website) in the shade Ellaire  (blackened cranberry) and topped off my lips using ColourPop Lippie Stix ($7 on their website) in the shade Goldie (: rich brick red matte).

20200403_154334

Final Thoughts:                                                                                                                                   So I am still trying to figure out the way to use the Joah foundation since it’s so light on me… I still have to tweak it a bit… I think 1 less drop of deep and maybe 2 more drops of warm will do the tick … but so far the Joah foundation holds up to mix ins. I definitely think the white cast in yesterday’s pictures was from the powder … I have decluttered that powder from my collection.

Well that’s all for now dolls. Hope you are in good health and spirits and that you are hanging in there. Remember dolls …. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

Rusty Eyed Face of the Day

Published April 2, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

Hey doll hey!! Hope you are having a great day/night. I’m having a bad Fibro day today…. very high pain level. I received my purchase from Joah Cosmetics today! So I thought I’d put the products I purchased to the test today …. I’ll give my review of them in Final Thoughts. Today I am wearing Modern Muse by Estee Lauder. *** SIDE NOTE *** the Joah Setting Powder that I used is causing a white cast in the pictures, it’s a translucent powder but it’s casting very pale on my skin…So let’s jump into today’s Face of the Day ….

20200402_181336

Base:                                                                                                                                                         I primed my face using L’Oreal Infallible Glow-Lock Illuminating Primer ($12.99 at Ulta) and then used a bit of Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Sephora) to blur my pores. I set my full face using Joah Cosmetics Selfie Ready Setting Powder ($9.50 on their website) in the shade Translucent and then warmed up my face using Benefit Boxed Bronzer ($30 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Hoola. For touch up powder today I am using Catrice Prime and Fine Mattifying Waterproof Powder ($7.49 at Ulta) in the shade transparent.

20200402_181522

Eyes:                                                                                                                                                         I primed my lids using P.Louise Base ($10 pound sterling/ $12.08 USD on their website… can also be found on the Morphie website for $15) in the shade Rumour 0.5 and today I chose not to set the base. For today’s eye look I used the Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Contour Palette (normally $48 but on sale for $36 at Sephora). For my transition shade I used the color Samael (dusty fawn matte). To deepen the crease and the outer 1/3 of my mobile lid I used a combo of the shades Ludwin (peachy bronze matte) and Succubus (rich rust matte). On the remaining 2/3 of the mobile lid I used a few layers of the shade Knit (a caramel rose gold with a golden flip) from the Rachh Loves X Pixi The Layers Highlighting Palette ($24 at Target). On the lower lash line I created a drop shadow using more of the shade Samael (dusty fawn matte). I then went in close to the lash line and used the more of the shade Succubus (rich rust matte). I highlighted the inner corners using the shade Clutch (soft white yellow gold) from the Rachh Loves X Pixi The Layers Highlighting Palette ($24 at Target). I lined my water lines using ColourPop BFF Creme Gel Liner ($6 on their website) in the shade Get Paid (rose gold metallic). I created a winged eyeliner using Joah Cosmetics I’m So Fly-liner ($5.99 on their website) in the shade Black.  I set my brows using Maybelline Great Lash Mascara ($6.99 at Ulta but I purchased mine from Amazon) in clear and then filled in my brows using Joah Cosmetics Brow Down To Me Precision Brow Pencil ($6.65 on their website) in the shade Black Brown. I carved out my brow line using the BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte sides and set the brow line using the shade Liberatus (pinkish ivory matte). I popped on a paid of Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes ($11.99 for a 2 pack at Ulta) in the style Flirty and then I coated my upper and lower lashes with L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara ($8.99 at Ulta).

Cheeks and Lips:                                                                                                                               For blush tonight I chose NYX Sweet Cheeks Matte Blush ($7.50 at Ulta) in the shade Summer Breeze (Coral).  I highlighted my Cupid’s Bow, tops of the cheeks, bridge of the nose, and high points of the brows using the Rachh Loves & Pixi Beauty The Layers Highlighting Palette ($24 at Target) and using a combo of the shades Knit (a caramel rose gold with a golden flip) and the shade Clutch (soft white yellow gold). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Little One (light pinky nude) and topped off my lips using ColourPop Lippie Stix ($7 on their website) in the shade Dream Date (pale warm nude matte). I then added a tiny bit of the shade Knit (a caramel rose gold with a golden flip) from the Rachh Loves & Pixi Beauty The Layers Highlighting Palette ($24 at Target)  to the lipstick to give it a bit more dimension.

Final Thoughts:

Joah is a K-Beauty inspired makeup company who’s parent company is Kiss. You can also find Joah Cosmetics at CVS and on the CVS website.

Joah Cosmetics Truly Yours Natural Finish Foundation Drop: A                                         This foundation retails for $9.50 but is currently on sale for $6.65 on their website. You get 1.01 fluid ounces of product and it’s offered in 12 shade with 4 for deeper skin. It’s billed as being a skin enhancing natural finish foundation perfects your complexion in every way…hydrating, brightening, smoothing, accentuating your youthful glow with a flawless finish. This is a super thin liquid foundation (almost serum like). It has a demi-matte finish and is a light medium coverage. I didn’t try to build it up because I purchased a shade that was just a hair lighter than I am and didn’t want to look to pasty. I didn’t try it with a mixed in glow drops because I wanted to see what type of finish it gave first and I didn’t try it with my foundation mixer to deepen the shade because I thought since it wasn’t too far off from  my natural color I would be OK… Well it did make me look pale so tomorrow I will try it again with my foundation mixer to deepen the color a bit and then I will try it on Saturday with glow drops to see if it accepts mix ins well. For right now what I can say is … #1 there is no scent to this foundation at all. #2 It’s a light medium demi-matte coverage foundation. #3 It does hold up to about an 8 hour wear… I touched my nose a lot today because it’s still running and I didn’t notice any wear away from doing that. #4 This foundation does well with emollient moisturizers and #5 A little of this product goes a long way. I used 2 full droppers of the foundation and still had some left over (even after carving out the top side of my brows). So far it’s a pretty nice foundation. Very light weight, I could barely tell I was wearing it (that was until I set my face) and very natural looking (again until I set my face). I liked it enough that I want to give it a try with my mix ins to see how that does … if it doesn’t work than I will repurchase this in the correct shade … I liked it enough that I do really want it part of my collection.

Joah Cosmetics Truly Yours Dark Circle Concealer: B-                                                            This concealer comes in 11 shades with 1 for medium deep skin tones. 2 of those shades are corrector shades (1 neutralizer and 1 brightener). This concealer retails for $8.50 and you get .24 fluid ounces of product in a tube with a sponge tip applicator. I never you the sponge tip on concealer products, I just don’t like them, so I immediately pulled the sponge tip off. This concealer is billed as being a lightweight and oil control formula instantly erases dark circles and fine lines.  I think I might have purchased the wrong corrector … I purchased the neutralizer shade …. I think I may prefer the brightening shade and will be purchasing that one on my next beauty buy week…. it was OK at helping with the darkness around my mouth area but I just needed a bit more brightness than this shade had to offer for my under eye. It’s a thin formula but does a good job and concealing. It does sink into the fine lines so the claim that it erases fine lines is a bust. It’s just an OK concealer in my opinion … I will have to see if I like it more once I buy the brighten shade.

Joah Cosmetics Wand Me Up Concealer: A-                                                                          This concealer only comes in 5 shades and none are for deeper skin. It retails for $6.50 and there is nothing on the website or packaging that says how much product you get, whoever it’s the same size as the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. It’s billed as being a natural coverage wand concealer hides imperfections and leaves skin looking flawless. This is a pretty good concealer. It’s really creamy and doesn’t set down so you do need to set this one to keep it from creasing and you need to do this where ever you use this concealer… I added a tough of this concealer to my forehead and it creased in between my brow area and I normally do not have this issue with any other concealer. Once I blended it back out and set it with powder it was fine the rest of the day. I liked it enough that I will use this one up … but it’s too early for me to know if I will repurchase it or not.

Joah Cosmetics Selfie Ready Setting Powder: F !!                                                                     This setting powder retails for $9.50 and you get .35 ounces of product in a slide to close sifter jar. It comes in 3 shades …. translucent, banana, and peach. It’s billed as being a lightweight translucent powder that sets your makeup perfectly with an all-day natural matte finish. #1 There was nothing “NATRUAL” about this powder …. it left my face dusty and cakey, and so dry looking that I actually looked like I had crapey skin. #2 This powder has heaps of dust up. No matter how light of a hand you go in with there is powder every where. #3 There is a weird scent to this powder … almost like school chalk. #4  There is bright flash back/ white cast with this powder. I have the translucent shade and it’s a chalk white powder that just seemed to make my skin look paler than I started with, and #5 It looks terrible under the eyes…. my fine lines stood out so bad today that you can actually seem them in my pictures… normally you can not see my fine lines.  …. this one was just a hard pass for me….

Joah Cosmetics I’m So Fly-liner: A+++!!!                                                                                      This brush tip liquid liner retails for $8.50 but is currently on sale for $5.95. You get .5 fluid ounces of product. It’s billed as being having a flexible brush tip for precise application and as being buildable, highly pigmented, long lasting, and water resistant. For me out of all the products I tried from Joah Cosmetics today this was the stand out winner for me. It’s super black, went over my shadow perfectly without tugging or skipping. This brush tip is the closest drug store dupe for the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner. I will be purchasing a few more on my next beauty buy week.

Joah Cosmetics Brow Down To Me Precision Brow Pencil: A++ This brow pencil retails for $9.50 but is currently on sale for $6.65. You get .002 ounces of product in this double ended mechanical pencil (1 end is a really nice spoolie and the other end is a perfect pointed brow pencil). It is billed as being like a magic trick for brows and as having an  ultra fine tip that creates fine hair-like strokes. When I first tested this pencil on the back of the hand I just knew I was going to hate this product. It felt waxy and hard and tugged at the delicate skin on the back of my hand. MAN WAS I WRONG! It was super pigmented and creamy and did not tug on my brows at all. It was super easy to use and dare I say this pencil is my new favorite drug store brow pencil …. it is really super good. I will be purchasing a few back ups on my next beauty buy week.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you have a great rest of your night/day and that you are in both good health and spirits. Remember dolls … Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

Last Minute Look Face of the Day

Published April 1, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

Hey doll hey! How’s your night/day going? Great I hope. I wasn’t feeling very well today so I had originally decided to take the day off from my daily Face of the Day post… I hurt a lot and I have very little energy today. I woke up from a nap around 6:30 and decided to at least attempt to play with my makeup…. even if I would be taking it off in a little while to go to bed for the night…. So this is the look I came up with …. it’s not my best job done but at least I was able to play for a little while … I forwent lashes today to give my lashes a brake from the lash glue …. I’m also not wearing any perfume today because when my pain levels are this high the pain is often accompanied by olfactory sensitivity  which causes my to throw up a lot… so let’s jump into this Face of the Day ….

Base:                                                                                                                                                         I primed my face using It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores (Discontinued). My foundation today is Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation ($50 at Sephora) in the shade 3 Beige. I lightly color corrected my under eyes using Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate ($12 at Target and on the Pixi Beauty website) in the shade Brightening Peach. I used 3 dots under each eye of Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer ($22 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade No. 3. I set my full face with Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder ($33 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Translucent. I warmed up my face using Benefit Boxed Bronzer ($30 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Hoola. I’m not using a touch up powder since I am only keeping my makeup on for a few hours today.

For my outer 1/3 of the mobile lid and the crease I used the shade Solas (espresso brown matte). I warmed up the first half of the crease using just a touch of Succubus (rich rust matte). For the remaining 2/3 of the mobile lid I first went in with the shade Lucius (soft beige matte) and then went back over the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid with more of Succubus (rich rust matte) to give the look a bit more dimension. I then went in with the shade Knit (a caramel rose gold with a golden flip) from the Rachh Loves X Pixi The Layers Highlighting Palette ($24 at Target) and patted that over top of the inner 2/3 of the mobile lid to add a bit more dimension to the all matte look. For the lower lash line I created a drop shadow using more of the shade Samael (dusty fawn matte) and then went over the drop shadow using more of the shade Succubus (rich rust matte). I deepened the lower lash line using more of the shade Solas (espresso brown matte) and then highlighted the inner corners using the shade Clutch (soft white yellow gold) from the Rachh Loves X Pixi The Layers Highlighting Palette ($24 at Target). I tight lined the upper and lower waterlines using Charlotte Tilbury Eye Powder Pencil ($22 at Sephora) in the shade The Classic (a deep matte brown). I set my brows using Maybelline Great Lash Mascara ($6.99 at Ulta but I purchased mine from Amazon) in clear and then filled in my brows using Milani Stay Put Brow Color ($8.49 at Ulta) in the shade 05 Dark Brown. I carved out my brow line using the BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte sides and set the brow line using the shade Liberatus (pinkish ivory matte). I  coated my upper and lower lashes with L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara ($8.99 at Ulta).

Cheeks and Lips:                                                                                                                               For blush tonight I chose NYX Sweet Cheeks Matte Blush ($7.50 at Ulta) in the shade Summer Breeze (Coral).  I highlighted my Cupid’s Bow, tops of the cheeks, bridge of the nose, center of my chin, and high points of the brows using the Rachh Loves & Pixi Beauty The Layers Highlighting Palette ($24 at Target) in the shade Lace (a pink with gold flip). I lined and filled in my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Little One (light pinky nude) and topped off my lips using ColourPop Lippie Stix ($7 on their website) in the shade Dream Date (pale warm nude matte).

Final Thoughts:                                                                                                                                      I had the worst time working with the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation today. I tried mixing glow drops in with it and quickly learned (3 times) that this foundation does not play well with mix ins. I finally got fed up and chose to use the foundation on it ‘s own with no glow drops added but even with that I still had a hard time getting it to stay in place around my nose and just bellow the nostrils. So I finally just placed extra concealer around those areas (I did this over my powder and so that is the texture you see bellow my nostrils … that’s not face hair or dark spots … it’s just texture.

I have a hard time every time I use this foundation … I’m going to try and use this foundation 1 more time … but if I still have this problem with it I will declutter it from my collection …. I love how light weight it is and it’s the perfect color for my skin tone, but it just doesn’t apply well … no matter what primer I use, moisturizer I use, powder I use … there is always some type of issue with this foundation …. which sucks because it’s a very expensive foundation …. but if it’s not working out for me …. there is no need for me to keep it in my collections anymore.

Well that’s it dolls …. Sorry I really didn’t have the energy to do a great makeup look …. But I wanted to show you that even when you are having a super bad Fibro day you can still push your self to do 1 thing just for yourself …. that it’s super important to do at least something that gives you joy …. for yourself … everyday, but especially on your bad days to keep your spirits going when your body wont cooperate. I hope you all have a great rest of your night/day and that you are all happy and healthy. Remember dolls … Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO

For my mobile lid I used the color Swan (eggshell matte). For my lower lash line I created a drop shadow with more of Nude and then went in with Maple (warm caramel brown matte) closest to the lash line to add a bit more depth. I highlighted the inner corners using the shade Glistening Snow (white with a gold shift soft metallic). I then went in with the shade Knit (a caramel rose gold with a golden flip) from the Rachh Loves X Pixi The Layers Highlighting Palette ($24 at Target) and patted that over top of the mobile lid to add a bit more dimension to the lid.  I tight lined the upper and lower waterlines using Pixi by Petra Endless Silky Eye Pen ($12 at Target) in the shade Black Caviar (deep brown). Cheek and Lips:                                                                                                                                 For blush I am using JCat Beauty BlushMellow ($4.99 on their website) in the shade Tutti Fluffy (a bright coral matte). Final Thoughts:                                                                                                                                      I have a super cool and simple tip for you when it comes to dried out mascara. I have been trying to use up my L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara ($8.99 at Ulta), because I have so many open mascaras that I just want to try and get through as many of them as I can before I purchase a new one, and I noticed that the mascara was getting a bit clumpy and this never happens with this particular mascara. I also noticed that it seemed very dry so I remembered that I had a bottle of Inglot Cosmetics Duraline liquid ($14 on the Beautylish website) so I put 5 drops of the Duraline in the mascara tube and mixed my mascara wand around to coat the rest of the mascara and then tried to use it and it’s practically brand new. I had used the Duraline to convert my loose pigments into eyeliner. I never tried it as a replenisher to dried out gels and such. I had gel liner and a brow gel pot that was drying out and I added a few drops in each pot and it worked to bring both back to life. So now I know that I don’t need to throw out my dried out gels I can’t just simply use the Duraline to wake them back up …. saving me money in the long run!

Well that’s all dolls. I hope you have a great rest of the day/night and that you are in good spirits. Remember …. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO

On the remaining 2/3 of my mobile lid I used the shade Shimmering Pearl (gold with a pink shift soft metallic) and then went back over the middle 1/3 using the shade Rose Gold (rose gold soft metallic) to blend the inner and outer 1/3 together. For my lower lash line I created a drop shadow using more of the shade Cocoa. I deepened the lower lash line using more of the shade Truffle and then buffed out the whole lash line using more of the shade Maple. Cheeks and Lips:                                                                                                                               For blush I am using JCat Beauty BlushMellow ($4.99 on their website) in the shade Tutti Fluffy (a bright coral matte). Final Thoughts:                                                                                                                                   So I’ve been loving this blush color lately… it’s just the perfect coral pink for a flush of color. I’ve also been doing my blush placement a bit different lately. Instead of placing my blush directly on my  cheeks I take the blush a bit higher on the cheek bones. I saw this on a Makeup Forever master class video and noticed that it gives a more youthful look to the face.

I’ve also been loving this lip combo too… It’s very flattering and goes with almost any eye look.

Well that’s all for now dolls…. I hope and pray you are healthy, safe, and in good spirits. Remember ….. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO
