Published February 20, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

20200220_174905

Hey doll hey!!! Hope you day/night is going good. I’m coming to you with another makeup haul. 1 of the things that I ordered didn’t come in so I emailed ColourPop about the Creme Gel Colour in the shade Exit (white) and am currently waiting for someone to get back to me about the missing product. Before I jump into this haul I wanted to let you know all swatches are done on a bare arm with no primer and with only 1 swipe. So let’s jump into the haul …..

20200220_174918

Real Techniques I purchased all 3 at Ulta : from left to right : Setting Brush $7.99 and the Instapop Eye Duo $9.99 it come with the Base Shadow Brush and the Deluxe Crease Brush.

20200220_174935

I also purchased this at Ulta: The BH Cosmetics Crystal Quartz 12 Piece Brush Set with Cosmetic Bag $29.99 this set includes : Deluxe Powder Brush, Large Rounded Bronzing Brush, Rounded Buffing Brush, Flat Contour Brush, Large Blending Brush, Tapered Blending Brush, Domed Blending Brush, Buffing Blending Brush, Buffing Blending Brush, Eye Shader Brush, Pencil Brush, Flat Concealer Brush, and Angled Brow Brush

This is the Cosmetics Bag that I received with the brush set it’s a holographic bag, super cute.

20200220_175041

I also purchased this eye palette and loose powder at Ulta – the mascara was a free gift with purchase.

Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Loose Setting Powder : $33 for .56 ounces of product in the shade Translucent. It’s a very finely milled powder with a slight sheen…. this will make a beautiful finishing powder.

20200220_175137

Too Faced Born This Way The Natural Nudes Eyeshadow Palette $45. It has 8 matte shades and 8 shimmer shades and you get .48 total ounces of product.

The picture on the left is without flash and the picture on the right is with flash. These are all 8 of the matte shades: from left to right : Swan, Seashell, Nude, Petal, Warm Rose, Maple, Cocoa, and Truffle. These mattes feel buttery but the pan feels stiff, like it’s tight packed into the pans, but the shades seem to blend out well.

The picture on the left is without flash and the picture on the right is with flash. These are all 8 of the shimmer shades: from left to right : Glistening Snow, Shimmering Pearl, Sparkling Sand, Rose Gold, Sparkling Rum, Golden Light, Sugared Chestnut, and Sparkling Sable. Some of the shimmer shades are stiffer than others. Some are creamier than others as well, with that said these shades are pigmented and glided on smoothly without skipping.

20200220_175256

I purchased all these products at Ulta: From top to bottom and left to right: Prime and Fine Poreless Blur Primer $7.99 for 1.05 fluid ounces , Light Correcting Serum Primer in the shade Candle Light $10.99 for .47 fluid ounces, HD Liquid Coverage Foundation in the shade 030 Sand Beige $10.99 for 1.5 fluid ounces, Prime & Fine Waterproof Mattifying Powder in the shade Translucent $7.49 for .32 ounces, Liquid Camouflage Concealer in the shade 005 Light Natural $5.99 for .17 fluid ounces, California In A Box Bronzer & Blush Palette $14.99 for .5 total ounces, and Basic Bae Eyeshadow Palette $14.99 for .44 ounces of product.

Catrice Prime & Fine Waterproof Mattifying Powder in the shade Translucent $7.49 for .32 ounces. This powder is super finely milled and very buttery. It blurred every fine line on my hand and has a soft focus glow to it.

Catrice Prime and Fine Poreless Blur Primer $7.99 for 1.05 fluid ounces. This is a smooth primer that has a slight sheen to it. This primer has no scent.

Catrice Light Correcting Serum Primer in the shade Candle Light $10.99 for .47 fluid ounces. This is the softest sheen I have every tried for a shimmery primer. This might be due to the fact that it’s a serum or perhaps I need more than 1/2 a drop to get the sheen to show up. There is no scent to this primer and it’s a smooth primer.

Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation in the shade 030 Sand Beige $10.99 for 1.5 fluid ounces. This is a good shade match for me, a tiny bit deeper than me but still a good shade match. This seems to be a very liquidity foundation but it seems to me that this will be a full coverage foundation.

20200220_175741

Catrice Basic Bae Eyeshadow Palette $14.99 for .44 ounces of product. There are 5 mattes and 7 shimmers. The mattes are finely milled and extremely buttery and the shimmers are very creamy and glide on smoothly without skipping.

The picture on the left is with flash and the one on the right is without flash. The first 8 shades are … from left to right: #Basic, #Wifey, #Squad, #Goals, #NoFilter, #MUA, #Twinning, and #ExtraAF.

The picture on the left is without flash and the one on the right is with flash. This is the last 4 shades of the Basic Bae Eyeshadow Palette. The shades from left to right are: #MOTD, #MCM, #WCW, and # TBT .

Catrice California In A Box Bronzer & Blush Palette $14.99 for .5 total ounces. This palette comes with 2 matte bronzing powders, 2 blush powders (1 pearly and 1 matte finish), and 1 golden highlighter.

The picture on the left is with flash and the one on the right is without flash. This is the 2 blushes, 2 bornzers, and the 1 highlighter from the California In A Box Bronzer & Blush Palette.

20200220_180044

The last 3 things I have to share with you I purchased from ColourPop’s website: I am missing the white shade I ordered and am waiting for ColourPop’s customer service to respond to my email.

ColourPop Creme Gel Colour $8 for .11 ounces of product in the shade Stew (a warm brown with a yellow undertone). This was part of the Karrueche x ColourPop Brow Sugar collection.

ColourPop Creme Gel Colour $87 for .11 ounces of product in the shade Swerve (a true onyx black).

ColourPop BBF Creme Gel Liner $6 for .007 ounces of product in the shade Get Paid (metallic rose gold). This is a back up. I already have 1 of this color open.

Well, that’s all for tonight dolls. Stay tuned tomorrow when I test out all the Catrice products I purchased.

I hope you have a good rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits. Remember save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO

Smokey Bronze Eye Face of the Day

Published February 14, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

Hey doll hey!!! Hope you are having a great day/night. I actually woke up early today!!! I feel pretty OK today. My body is stiff today but my pain level is around a 5. I received a bunch of new makeup in the mail today so I got to play with some new stuff. I was feeling like a smokey eye today, I’m all Valentine’s Day Look fatigued, so I decided to just go glam. Hope you enjoy it… and Hope that you are in good spirits….Let’s jump into the Face of the Day ….

20200214_125835

Base: I double primed my face today…. I used Dr Brandt Pores No More Pore Refiner Primer ($45 at Ulta and Sephora) and then layered that with AOA Studio Wonder Skin Illuminating Primer ($1 on the Shop Miss A website). I color corrected using Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate ($12 on their website and at Target) in the shade Brightening Peach. For foundation today I am using a repurchase new foundation to me Too Faced Born This Way Undetectable Medium to Full Coverage Foundation ($39 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Warm Nude. I concealed my under eyes using a brand new product to me Too Faced Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer ($29 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Vanilla. I set my face using Pixi by Petra Colour Correcting Powder Foundation ($20 on their website and at Target) in the shade No.2 Nude. I warmed up the face using BH Cosmetics Brilliance Bronzer ($10 on their website and at Ulta) in the shade Bronze Babe. I set my under eyes and baked the jaw line, center of the forehead, and bridge of the nose using RCMA No Color Powder ($15 at the Beautylish website).

20200214_130006

Eyes: I primed the lids using NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer ($30 at Sephora) in the shade Medium 1 Custard and set that using Laura Merceir Loose Setting Powder ($39 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Translucent. For today’s bronzey smoke eye look I used the Private Society Cosmetics Girl Boss Palette ($35 on their website). For my transition shade I used the color CEO (an orange based tan matte). For my crease shade I mixed the shades Brunch (a mid-toned terra cotta matte) and Money Maker (a mid-toned muddy brown matte). On my mobile lid I used the shade Iconic (a muddy bronze metallic) on my inner 2/3. I deepened my outer v and the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid using the shade Friyay (a deep true brown matte) and then went in with the shade Instafamous (a copper metallic) on the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid to help blend out the edges of the inner and outer 1/3. On the lower lash line I created a drop shadow using first the shade CEO then the same combo of Money Maker and Brunch. I then deepened the lower lash line using more of Friyay and then buffed the whole lower lash line using more of the shade Brunch. I highlighted the inner corners first using Socialite (a pale champagne satin) and then I layered Dazzle (a pale champagne with silver glitter) from the Too Faced Turn Up The Light Complexion-Enhancing Highlighting Palette ($42 at Ulta and Sephora) in the Light color way. I lined my lower waterlines using ColourPop BFF Creme Gel Liner ($6 on their website) in the shade Get Paid (rose gold metallic). I tight lined the upper waterlines using NYX Slim Eye Pencil ($4.50 on their website and their store and at Ulta) in the shade Black. I set my brows using Pixi by Petra Brow Tamer ($10 at Target) in clear and then filled in my brows using ELF Ultra Precise Brow Pencil ($5 on their website) in the shade Deep Brown. I carved out my brows using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the shimmer side and set that with the shade First Class (a true vanilla matte). I primed my lower lashes with Loreal Voluminous Primer ($6.79 at Target) and then put on a pair of lashes that I can’t find the name off anywhere. I then created a baby winged liner on the upper lash line and used Pixi by Petra Lash Booster Mascara ($15 on their website and at Target) in the shade Blackest Black on the lower lashes and to meld my upper lashes in with the falsies.

20200214_125925

Cheeks and Lips: For blush today I chose Private Society 8 Blush Palette ($42 on their website) in the color way Secret Admirer and using the shade Sweet Romance (a deep warm toned peach). I highlighted the tops of my cheeks, Cupid’s Bow, bridge of the nose, and center of the forehead using Benefit Powder Highlighter ($30 at Ulta) in the shade Cookie (a white gold pearl). I then used the Too Faced Turn Up The Light Complexion-Enhancing Highlighting Palette ($42 at Ulta and Sephora) in the Light color way using the Soft Focus powder as all over finishing powder. I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil (regularly $7 on sale for $4.90 on their website) in the shade 951 (a warm nude with a hint of burgundy) and filled in the lips using ColourPop Lippie Stix (regularly $7 on sale for $4.90 on their website) in the shade Daydream (a plummy brown matte).

Final Thoughts:

Too Faced Born This Way Undetectable Medium to Full Coverage Foundation: A+++!!!!      I had tried this foundation when it first came out and loved it. I used it up but never repurchased it. Whilst I was on the Ulta website purchasing other products I decided to repurchase it too. I am so glad I did. This foundation is BEAUTIFUL!!! I love how glowy it is and how perfect it looks on the face. I did forget that a little goes a long way and ended up using way too much today, but even so the finish didn’t look cakey at all. I am so in love with this foundation and am super excited to have it back in my collection.

Too Faced Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer: B-                                                                                This is a super thick concealer. It did great at highlighting the high points of my face but, because I hadn’t used this one before, I used too much for the under eye and it seemed to just sink deep into my fine lines. I chose to give this a letter grade of B- because it did crease and seemed to lift up off the under eye as I tried to blend it in. I don’t know, I think I just need more time to work with this one to see if I can get it to work better. Now, the reason for it seeping into my fine lines may be because I let it sit too long before blending it in, this may be the type of concealer that you have to work is small sections to get it to work out. So I will try it again tomorrow and see if I get a better outcome, if not then I will just use this one to highlight the high points of my face.

Too Faced Turn Up The Light Complexion-Enhancing Highlighting Palette: A-                        This is a trio complexion palette. It comes with a soft focus powder in the middle, a softer focus highlighter, and a chunky glittery highlighter. I think the soft focus finishing powder is beautiful and the softer focus highlighter is pretty, but that 3rd shade is just to inundated with glitter to work for highlighter. For this reason I chose to give this a A- grade. I would have much rather liked to have seen either a bronzer or a blush in this palette over that glittery hell Too Faced calls Dazzle. I can’t use this as a highlighter at all, but I can use it as an inner corner highlight for my eyes.

Benefit Powder Highlighter in the Shade Cookie: A+++!!!!                                                      OM GOSH!!! This highlighter is so stinking beautiful!!! It’s so reflective that it almost looks like wet skin! I wasn’t going to get it because I already have a Benefit highlighter, and well, I have a stock pile of highlighter… But I purchased it as a last minute impulse buy and am so glad I did. It is highly reflective without having any glitter what so ever. If your are light skinned to tan skin and are in the market for a knock your socks off product…. this highlighter is the one for you.

ColourPop Lippie Pencil in the Shade 951: A++                                                                                I purchased this lippie pencil as part of the Big Box of Lippie Pencils ($79 on sale for $68 on their website). This is such a pretty shade, and I normally don’t do deeper nude lip pencils. This one has a slight burgundy shift to it that would make it perfect for contouring the lips. It’s creamy and doesn’t feather into the fine lines of the lips.

ColourPop Lippie Stix in the Shade Daydream: A+++                                                                    Again, I purchased this lippie stix as part of the Big Box of Lippie Stix ($115 on sale for $99 on their website). I never use deep vampy nude shades ever, but it was in my box set and I thought I might as well try it out. I am so glad I did. This shade is beautiful!! It’s creamy and doesn’t transfer outside the lip line or get on the teeth. It’s a matte formula, but it’s a comfortable matte formula that doesn’t pill up on the inner rim of the lip. It’s long wearing and fades down nicely.

Well that’s all for now dolls. Stay tuned soon for a new makeup haul and review. I hope you have a great rest of your day/night and that you are having a low pain/high energy day/night. Until tomorrow, remember save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO

Older Makeup Retry Face of the Day

Published February 7, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

Hey doll hey!!! How’s your day/night going? Hopefully it’s a good one for you. I woke up in some pain, it rained all night and is colder today and it’s slated to rain today too so my fibro is going haywire. I have 7 more products to share with you, 5 of which I tested out and 2 of which I just knew straight off the bat that I wasn’t going to use. The products on the chopping block today are …. Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette, It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream, Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation, NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer, NYX Gotcha Covered Concealer, NYX Matte Bronzer (in medium … I own 2 shades this one and Deep so I tested this one to see which I would keep).  I will discuss these products and what I will keep or declutter in Final Thoughts…. So let’s jump into the Face of the Day.

20200207_130329

Base: I primed the face using Marc Jacobs Invisible Under(Cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer ($45 at Sephora) and ELF Poreless Putty Primer ($8 at Ulta and on the ELF website). I color corrected using Tarte CC Undereye Corrector ($25 at Ulta) in the shade Light-Medium. For foundation I used All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation ($49 at Sephora) in the shade Light 5 Fiji. I concealed my under eyes using NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer ($30 on their website) in the shade Medium 1 Custard. I set my face using J Cat Beauty Aquasurance Compact Foundation ($13.99 at Ulta and on the J Cat Beauty website) in the shade Natural. I warmed up my face using NYX Matte Bronzer ($10 at Ulta) in the shade Medium. I set my under eyes and baked my jaw line, center of the forehead, and bridge of the nose using RCMA No Color Powder ($15 on the Beautylish website).

20200207_130118

Eyes: I primed my lids using more of the NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer ($30 on their website) in the shade Medium 1 Custard and set that using Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder ($39 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Translucent.  For today’s eye look I used the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette ($49 at Sephora and on the Too Faced website). For my 1st transition color I used the shade Georgia (a muted soft light peach matte). For my 2nd transition color I used the shade Candied Peach (a coral based peach with gold flecks sequin). My crease color is the shade Puree (a mid-tone yellow based brown matte). On my mobile lid I first started out with the shade Nectar (a pale yellow based peach shimmer) on the inner 2/3 and then I used the shade Caramelized (a mid-toned brown with gold reflect metallic) on the outer 1/3. I then went into the shade Luscious (a taupe with gold reflect metallic) and used that on the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid. I didn’t like the way it looked so I layered the shade Bellini (a mauvey pink shimmer) over the inner 2/3 and then layered the shade Just Peachy (a peachy pink shimmer) over the middle 1/3 blending it toward the inner 1/3. I then added the shade Charmed I’m Sure (a dusty dark brown matte) into the outer v and low down on the crease. I set my brow hair using Pixi by Petra Brow Tamer ($10 at Target) in clear and then filled in the brows using ELF Ultra Precise Brow Pencil ($5 at Ulta, Walmart, and the ELF website) in the shade Dark Brown. I carved out the brow line using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and then set that with the shade White Peach (a creamy white satin). I lined my lower waterlines using ColourPop BFF Creme Gel Liner ($6 on their website) in the shade Get Paid (rose gold metallic). I lined my upper lash line using Kat Von D Tattoo Liner ($21 at Sephora) in the shade Mad Max Brown.  For mascara I used Pixi by Petra Lash Booster Mascara ($15 at Target and on the Pixi website) in the shade Blackest Black.

20200207_130358

Cheeks and Lips: On the cheeks I used ColourPop Super Shock Cheek ($8 on their website) in the shade Birthday Suit (a neutral pink satin). I highlighted the tops of my cheeks, bridge of my nose, Cupid’s bow, and center of the forehead using ColourPop Super Shock Cheek ($8 on their website) in the shade Wisp (pearlized golden champagne). I lined my lips using Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat ($22 at Sephora, and on the Beautylish website) in the shade Pillow Talk (a neutral pink) and filled in my lips using BH Cosmetics Cashmere Cream Comfort Lipstick ($8 at Ulta and on the BH Cosmetics website…. on sale for $6) in the shade Yas (a coral pink).

Final Thoughts:

Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette:                                                                                                          I purchased this one on a whim when it first came out. I barely ever use it. I just feel underwhelmed with it. I don’t reach for peach shades often. While I think the look I came up with today was a pretty soft Spring look, it’s just not my cup of tea. Not to mention that there isn’t a cohesive array of shades. There is tons of kick back in the pans and some fall out on the face. I just don’t feel inspired by this palette and so I have decided to declutter it from my collection.

It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream:                                                                                 I normally use this CC cream during the summer months… I just have found other BB and CC creams that I like more and that do not have that odd scent to it. Not to mention I have it in the shade Medium (which is a tad darker than me, but Light is too light for me). It just feels greasier than the other BB and CC creams I have so I have decided to declutter this one from my collection.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner:                                                                                                                  This is one of my favorite ink liner formulas. I have it in both Black and Brown. It doesn’t seep into the fine lines of my lids, doesn’t transfer to the lower lash line, and stays in place all day. While I do not support Kat Von D anymore, I do have some of her products that I am trying to use up. I will not be decluttering this from my collection.

NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation:                                                                     The shade I have is a spot on match for my skin tone. I love this foundation so much. It just looks so pretty on the skin. I haven’t reach for it a ton this past year, honestly most of last year I was in a bad depression and didn’t do my makeup but when I came out of the depression I still didn’t reach for it much. I really do love this foundation and have moved it to my everyday drawer so that I can use it more. I will not be decluttering this one.

NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer:                                                                                              I have a love/hate relationship with this one. I love the coverage I get. I love how it looks under the eyes. I love to use it as a primer for my lids… But I hate that I can’t wear it without setting it. When I set it it looks dry, even after I use setting spray. But I can’t leave it without powder because it creases on me…. I haven’t reached for it much, so I plan to move it to my everyday drawer to try and use it up within the next 6 months. If I haven’t used it up by then I will declutter it… for now I will not be decluttering this concealer.

NYX Gotcha Covered Concealer:                                                                                                  This concealer was discontinued. I don’t have much of it left, and I’m not wowed by it… Honestly I have so many concealers that I just can’t justify keeping it. I have decluttered it.

NYX Matte Bronzer: In the shade Medium:                                                                                     I have this bronzer in 2 shades, medium and deep. I like the tone of the deep one more than I like the tone in the medium one. I will keep the deep one and declutter the medium one.

Well, that’s all for now dolls. I hope the rest of your day/night is a good one. Stay tuned tomorrow when I revisit some more makeup on the chopping block…. and ….Remember save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO

Revisiting My Stash Face of the Day

Published February 6, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

Hey doll hey!!! Hope you are having a great day/night. I woke up super early today, had a Psychiatrist appointment today. I’m feeling pretty good today. Low pain day and so far my energy is good too. I am still weeding through my makeup to see what I will and wont declutter. For today I have chosen to test out the following products for culling… Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette, Makeup Forever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Concealer, It Cosmetics Hello Lashes 5-1 Clinically Proven Mascara, Inglot Eyeliner Gel, MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot, Jouer Powder Highlighter, Urban Decay Afterglow 8 Hour Powder Blush, and Giorgio Armani Power Fabric Longwear High Coverage Foundation. As per the usual, I’ll be talking about these products and also saying whether or not I will be decluttering them from my collection in Final Thoughts. So let’s jump into the face of the day….

20200206_112615

Base: I primed the face using Marc Jacobs Invisible Under(Cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer ($45 at Sephora) and ELF Poreless Putty Primer ($8 at Ulta and on the ELF website). I color corrected using Tarte CC Undereye Corrector ($25 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Light-Medium. My foundation today is Giorgio Armani Power Fabric Longwear High Coverage Foundation ($65 at Sephora) in the shade 5.5. I concealed the under eyes using Makeup Forever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Concealer (Discontinued) in the shade R22. I warmed up the face using Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel ($50 on their website) in the shade Universal Bronze. I set my face using Wet n Wild Photofoucs Pressed Powder ($2.75 at Walmart, Walgreens, and on their website) in the shade Neutral Beige. I set my under eyes and baked the jaw line, bridge of the nose, and center of my forehead using RCMA No Color Powder ($15 on the Beautylish website).

20200206_112537

Eyes: I primed my lids using MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot ($22 at Ulta and MAC) in the shade Soft Ochre and set it using Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder ($39 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Translucent. For today’s eye look I used the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette ($29.50 on Amazon and $44 on the Too Faced website). For my transition shade I used the color Almond Truffle (a dusty mauve matte). In my crease I used the color Mocha (a mid-toned brown matte). On the outer 1/3 of my mobile lid I used the color Dark Truffle (a dark chocolate brown with pink reflect metallic). On the inner 1/3 I used the color Molasses Chip (a taupey gold metallic). Then on the middle 1/3 of my mobile lid I used the color Cafe Au Lait (a light taupe with silver reflect metallic) to blend the inner and outer 1/3 together. I then went back in with Dark Truffle on the outer 1/3 and Molasses Chip on the inner 1/3. I then mixed Dark Truffle, Molasses Chip, and Cafe Au Lait together and further blended the inner and outer 1/3 together more. I then went in with the color Bordeaux (a cherry chocolate matte) and deepened the outer v and blended it into the lower part of m crease. I set my brows using Pixi by Petra Brow Tamer ($9.99 at Target and on their website) in clear and filled in the brows using Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil ($24 at Ulta) in the shade 4.5 and carved out the brow line using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the shimmer side and then set that with the color Divinity (a peachy toned vanilla matte). I created a drop shadow on the lower lash line using more of the shade Mocha and smoked that out using a hint of Almond Truffle. I then lined my upper lash line and lower waterline using Inglot Eyeliner Gel ($17 on the Beautylish website) in the shade 77 Black. I then smoked the lower lash line out further using more of the color Bordeaux. I highlighted the inner corners using the color Satin Sheets (a pale gold metallic). For my lashes I used It Cosmetics Hello Lashes 5-1 Clinically Proven Mascara ($27 at Ulta) in the shade Blackest Black.

20200206_112725

Cheeks and Lips: For blush today I used Urban Decay Afterglow 8 Hour Powder Blush (Discontinued) in the shade Rapture (a dusty plumy mauve matte). To highlight my Cupid’s Bow, center of the forehead, tops of the cheeks, and bridge of the nose I used Jouer Powder Highlighter ($24 at Sephora and on the Beautylish website) in the shade Citrine (a golden champagne). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade BFF (a warm tan nude) and filled in the lips using BH Cosmetics Cashmere Cream Comfort Lipstick ($8 but on sale for $6 on their website) in the shade Roast (a warm light brown nude).

20200206_112633

Final Thoughts: Just 1 side note … the BH Cosmetics Cashmere Cream Comfort Lipsticks are turning out to be my favorite lipstick formula!!! The last 2 I tried have been very comfortable on the lips and have been long wearing. They have also not feathered or traveled outside the lip line and fade evenly. I will be purchasing other shades in this line.

Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette:                                                                                             I purchased this one on impulse and have never used it until today (that was 2 years ago!!!) I really liked using this palette today. The shadows were creamy and blended out perfectly without skipping or going patchy. There was zero kick back in the pans and no fall out on the face. The shades buffed into each other without going muddy and the metallics are beautifully blended. They can go on sheer with little pressure or high impact with a damp shader brush. I am going to continue to use this palette, there are just enough metallic shades that I can get different looks every time I use this one. I will not be decluttering this palette from my collection.

Makeup Forever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Concealer:                                                                    This is such a small tube of concealer that I often over look it, but every time I do use this concealer I remember just how much I love it. The sad part is it’s discontinued so I wouldn’t be able to repurchase it. It’s the perfect under eye concealer color and it buffs into the under eye beautifully. I never have creasing with this one and I often forget and use way too much but it never ends up looking cakey. I am not going to declutter this one from my collection.

It Cosmetics Hello Lashes 5-1 Clinically Proven Mascara:                                                            I have hated this mascara every time I have picked it up. I hate the brush applicator, I hate the formula, I hate how it looks on my lashes…. I just truly HATE this mascara. So no surprise when I say I have decluttered it from my collection.

Inglot Eyeliner Gel:                                                                                                                         This is another pot eyeliner that I didn’t even know I had. I opened it for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised to find that it went on smoothly on my waterlines. This is one of few gel pot liners that do not skip on my mobile lids. I liked the formula and how black it is. I liked it so much that I promptly purchased it in 90 Brown. It should be no surprise that I will not be decluttering this one from my collection.

MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot:                                                                                                             I use this one every now and then. But lately I haven’t really liked using it. It makes my lids look incredibly dry and I don’t truly like the way my shadows go on over it. It doesn’t go on smoothly and it doesn’t really do anything special for my eye looks.  I prefer my Tarte Shape Tape ($27 at Ulta) much more than I ever have the paint pots. I have decluttered this one from my collection.

Jouer Powder Highlighter:                                                                                                                 It took me forever to be able to purchase this one. It was all the craze 2 years ago and was always out of stock. I finally was able to purchase it and have loved it every since. I don’t love it right away though…. I think it goes on too textured when I first apply it but after I use some setting spray it just melts into the skin so beautifully and so seamlessly. I don’t use it as much as I thought I would, mainly because I have such an extensive highlighter collection, but I do love it every time I use it. I will not be decluttering it from my collection.

Urban Decay Afterglow 8 Hour Powder Blush:                                                                        This blush goes on so patchy and so underwhelming. I think that is because of the shade I chose, but it’s just hard to work with. It’s dusty and powdery and accentuates every little texture on your cheeks. I have decluttered this one from my collection.

Giorgio Armani Power Fabric Longwear High Coverage Foundation:                                     This is the most expensive foundation I have ever owned, but I freaking love this foundation!!! Every time I have used it I have loved the way my skin looks. I have it in a shade that use to match me, but doesn’t anymore. Even so I love this foundation. I have it in the shade 5.5 and it’s a bit too deep for me. I don’t even mind, I can make it work. I will continue to use this bottle up and then I will repurchase it in the shade 5. I will not be decluttering this one from my collection.

Well there you have it… I have reviewed 8 older products and out of the 8 I have decluttered 3 of them.

Well I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits. I hope that if you have an invisible illness, like I do with Fibromyalgia, that you are having a low pain day, and that you have plenty of spoons. Stay tuned tomorrow when I continue culling my makeup stash and remember …. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

Revisiting Older Makeup Continues Face of the Day

Published February 5, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

Hey doll hey!!! Hope you are having a good day/night. I was up a bit early today, had a dentist appointment so I had to rush through my makeup…. so much went wrong with this look. But I was able to fix it and move on. Today, as I continue to curate my collection I am testing Bobbi Brown BB Cream, NYX HD Studio Photogenic Concealer, Stila Smudge Pot Waterproof Gel eye Liner, Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette and NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Powder Foundation. I also decided to declutter the Loreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer because it’s way to dark for me, and Flower Beauty Miracle Matte Lip in the shade Almost Nude because it’s too dry on my lips and it’s such a bad color for me. As I have been doing this week I will discuss what I will and will not be decluttering in Final Thoughts…. so let’s jump into the Face of the Day …..

20200205_130505

Base: I primed my face using Marc Jacobs Invisible Under(Cover) Perfecting Coconut Primer ($45 at Sephora) and also ELF Poreless Putty Primer ($8 on their website and at Ulta). I color corrected using Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate ($12 at Target) in the shade Brightening Peach. For foundation I chose to test out Bobbi Brown BB Cream ($48 on their website) in the shade Fair. I concealed using NYX HD Studio Photogenic Concealer ($6 on their website and at Ulta) in the shade CW 03.5 and set my face using NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Powder Foundation ($9.50 at Ulta) in the shade Medium Beige. I warmed up my face using Benefit Hula Bronzer (part of the Babe on Board Palette $21 on the Beautylish website). I set my under eyes and baked my jaw line, center of forehead, and bridge of the nose using RCMA No Color Powder ($15 on the Beautylish website).

20200205_130450

Eyes: I primed the lids using Tarte Shape Tape ($27 at Ulta) in the shade Light-Medium Honey and set that with a bit of Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder ($39 at Ulta) in the shade Translucent. For today’s eye look I used Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette ($49 at Ulta and Sephora). For my transition shade I used the color So Boujee (a light tan matte). for my crease shade I used the color Cocoa Truffle (a mid-toned chocolate brown matte). On my mobile lid I used the shade Love and Cocoa (a chocolate brown metallic with a bronze shift) on the outer 1/3 and on the inner 1/3 I used the shade Classy & Sassy (a deep rose gold metallic). On the middle 1/3 I used the shade Famous (a deep yellow gold metallic) to blend into the outer and inner 1/3 to merge the shades together. I created a drop shadow on the bottom lash line using more of the shades So Boujee and Cocoa Truffle. I then lined my waterlines using Stila Smudge Pot Waterproof Gel eye Liner ($20 at Ulta and on the Beautylish website) in the shade Black and then smoked out close to the lash line using Decadent (a standard black matte). I then took a mixture of Decadent and Cocoa Truffle and deepened my outer v. I did my brows the same way I did them yesterday…. I set the brows first using Pixi by Petra Brow Gel ($9.99 at Target) in clear and filled in the brows using Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil ($24 at Ulta) in the shade 4.5. I then carved out the brow line using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and set that with the color Rollin’ In Dough (a creamy vanilla matte). I then highlighted the inner corners using the shade Rich Girl (a silvery taupe metallic). For Mascara I used Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara ($25 at Ulta) in the shade Black.

20200205_130718

Cheeks and Lips: I used the Benefit Babe on Board palette ($21 on the Beautylish website and at Ulta). For blush I used the shade Rockabye (a satin coral) and then Highlighted the tops of my cheeks, Cupid’s Bow, bridge of the nose, and center of the forehead using the shade Dandelion Twinkle (a soft pink). I lined my lips using NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner ($4 at Ulta) in the shade Spicy (an blue based red) and filled in the lips using BH Cosmetics Cashmere Cream Comfort Lipstick ($8 on their website) in the shade Bae (an blue based red).

20200205_130307

Final Thoughts:

Bobbi Brown BB Cream:                                                                                                                      I haven’t reached for this bb cream much. I just do not enough using it. It goes on blotchy and doesn’t really have much coverage. I have other bb creams with way better coverage. This one doesn’t stay put around the nose, I had to build it up several times to get it to stay. I just really truly do not enjoy this product and have decluttered it from my collection.

NYX HD Studio Photogenic Concealer:                                                                                       This is a light weight concealer that is my exact skin match. I just am not wowed when I use this one. It doesn’t really give much payoff. It also gets into my fine lines even when I set it. I would have kept it if it was a shade or two lighter but since it’s not, and I really am not wowed by it I have decluttered it from my collection.

Stila Smudge Pot Waterproof Gel eye Liner:                                                                      FINALLY!!! An eyeliner that stays on my waterline!!! I had forgotten that I owned this potted liner. It was in the back of my liner drawer. It’s super black and very creamy and most importantly, I can use it in my waterline!!! I know I said that already but I have had the hardest time finding a liner to stay in my waterline. I only have ever been able to use the Revolution Pro Supreme Pigment Gel Liner in Nude and the ColourPop BFF Eye Liner in Get Paid (a rose gold). I am not decluttering this liner. In fact I am going to purchase it in Brown too.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara:                                                                                          This mascara is a cult favorite…. but I just don’t get it. It is just an OK mascara for me. It flakes around the 5 hour mark. My lashes don’t get big volume or length and I end up using 3 coats to try and get some payoff. It’s just not a mascara that wows me. I have decluttered it from my collection.

Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette:                                                                                               This is a palette that has 4 mattes and the rest are colorful metallics. I don’t reach for this palette a ton, but every time I do I have loved the look I have gotten with it. There are tons of color options with the metallics and for that reason I am keeping this palette. The matte shadows are buttery smooth, there is little to no kick back in the pans, and there is zero fallout on the face. The shades buff into each other well without going muddy. I will not be decluttering it from my collection

NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Powder Foundation:                                                                         I have had this compact for about 2 years. I know it’s probably time to get rid of it but there I haven’t used it often and there is no smell or hard pan so I am going to use this one up. I plan to pan it rather than declutter it because I do enjoy using it with BB Creams I just don’t reach for it much. I’m going to try and pan it by April. If I haven’t hit pan by then I will declutter it then.

Well there you have it 6 products tested and 3 things decluttered. Plus the 2 bonus products that I mentioned decluttering at the top of this post. Stay tune tomorrow when I continue to go through my collection to see what I will and wont be decluttering next. I hope the rest of your day/night is a good one, that you are in great spirits, have a low to no pain level, and that you are found with plenty of spoons. Remember, save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO

Blue Smokey Eye Face of the Day

Published February 4, 2020 by aspooniesmakeupbag

Hey doll hey!!! Hope you are having a great day/night. I’m having an OK day today. Woke up early for a change and have some energy though it feels like the energy is dwindling rapidly today…. I may need to nap today. Today I continue my journey to curate my makeup collection by testing out 7 more older products in my collection…. Clinique High Impact Mascara ($19.50 on their website and at Ulta), Marc Jacob Invisible Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer ($45 at Sephora), Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter ($45 at Sephora), Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer (discontinued), Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup (on sale for $20 on their website), MAC Mineralize Skin Finish ($36 at MAC), and Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette (Discontinued). I will reveal what I am keeping and what I am decluttering of these 7 items in Final Thoughts…. for now, let’s jump into the Face of the Day….

20200204_130151

Base: I primed my face using the Marc Jacob Invisible Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer ($45 at Sephora) and then went in with the Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter ($45 at Sephora) in the shade Dew You? all over the face to add extra glow to the skin. I color corrected using Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate ($12 at Target) in the shade Brightening Peach. For foundation I am wearing Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup (on sale for $20 on their website) in the shade 4.0 and then I concealed my under eyes using Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer (discontinued) in the shade medium-Light. I set my face using Revolution Pro Powder Foundation ($7 on their website) in the shade F5. I warmed up the face using Revolution Bronzer Reloaded ($7 on their website) in the shade Take a Vacation. I set my under eyes and baked the jaw line, center of the forehead, and bridge of my nose using RCMA No Color Powder ($15 on the Beautylish website).

20200204_130126

Eyes: I primed the lids using Tarte Shape Tape ($27 at Ulta) in the shade Light-Medium Honey and set that using some Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder ($39 at Sephora) in the shade Translucent. For today’s eye look I used the Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette (discontinued). For my transition shade I tried to use the color Nogut  (a very light dusty mauve matte) but it didn’t show up deep enough for me so I covered it up using the shade Peanut Butter (an orange based tan matte). I deepened my crease and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid using the shade Truffled (a deep chocolate brown matte). I then created a cut crease using some more Shape Tape. I used a combination the shades Frosting (a mid-toned brown with a taupe flip) and Cocoa Chili (a deep brown with golden flecks sequin) on the outer 1/2 of the mobile lid. On the inner 1/2 of the mobile lid I used the shade Blueberry Swirl (a navy with lighter blue reflect metallic). I then took the shade Bon Bon (a peach with a golden flip metallic) into the middle 1/3 to blend the outer and inner 1/2 of the mobile lid together. I then took the shade Pink Sugar (a pale pink glitter topper) and patted that over the shade Blueberry Swirl. I took the shade Puddin’ (a dusty deep brown matte) and deepened the outer v. For my lower lash line I created a drop shadow using more of the shade Peanut Butter and then deepened very close to the lower lash line using more of the shade Truffled. I used the shade Butter Pecan (a pale peach metallic) to highlight the inner corners. In my waterlines I used Revolution Pro Supreme Pigment Gel Eye Liner ($5 on their website) in the shade Nude. I then set my brow hair using Pixi by Petra Brow Gel ($9.99 at Target) in clear and filled in my brows using Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil ($24 at Ulta) in the shade 4.5 and carved out my brow line using the BH Studio Pro Brow Highlight ($5 on their website) on the matte side and set that using the shade Coconut Creme (a flat vanilla matte). For mascara I used Clinique High Impact Mascara ($19.50 on their website and at Ulta) in the shade Black.

20200204_130044

Cheeks and Lips: On my cheeks today I used the Rimmel London Kate Sculpting Kit ($5.99 at Target) in the shade 002 Coral Glow (the blush is a coral satin). I started to highlight my face using the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish ($36 at MAC) in the shade Warm Rose but it just didn’t give me any real highlight so I ended up popping back into the Kate Sculpting Kit again and used the Highlight shade (a dust champagne) to highlight the tops of my cheeks, bridge of my nose, Cupid’s Bow, and center of my forehead. I lined my lips using the Flower Beauty Petal Pout Lip Liner ($6 on their website $4.50 at Walmart) in the shade Rose (a soft rosey pink) and then filled in mi lips using the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Lips ($34 on the Beautylish website and the Charlotte Tilbury website) in the shade Pin-Up Pink (a coral pink matte liquid lipstick).

20200204_130222

Final Thoughts:

Clinique High Impact Mascara:                                                                                                      It’s an OK Mascara. It’s better for the bottom lashes than the top lashes. It doesn’t give much volume or length. I have tons of mascaras that do a better job so I have chosen to declutter this one from my collection.

Marc Jacob Invisible Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer:                                        This primer is very hydrating but does nothing to blur the texture to the face. It’s a nice primer and I don’t have very much of it left, so I think I’m going to use up what I have left but I will not be repurchasing it.

Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter:                                                                   This is a liquid highlighter. I use it as a primer base. I like how glowy it makes me look but I don’t like how greasy it feels. I have a lot of this product left and since I do like the look it gives me I will be keeping it in my collection. Once I have used it up though, I will not be repurchasing it.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer:                                  This concealer is so lift weight. It does a decent job of covering my under eyes and never creases on me. This is a discontinued product so part of my wants to declutter it from my collection since I wont be able to repurchase it but part of my also wants to keep it and use up the product I have left…. I will keep this one around for this month, but if I haven’t finished it by the end of February than I will declutter it.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup:                                       I truly believe this one is being fazed out. You can only find it on their website and on Amazon. Not all of the shades are available either. It’s a shame, I really do love this foundation. I love how light it feels and the finish on the skin. It’s a bit dark for me now, but I can make it work. I have a ton of it left so I think what I will do, since I have all 4 of the Naked foundations is… I will declutter the Urban Decay All Nighter Liquid Foundation since I feel like that one isn’t as good as the other 3 that I have and then I will try and use this one up by the end of April. If I haven’t used it up by April I will declutter it from my collection.

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish… specifically in the shade Warm Rose:                                   This highlighter is just a waste of time for me. There’s no shine to it, it’s just a bright powdery messy. I have even tried it as an all over finishing powder and that didn’t seem to work either…. I have decluttered this from my collection.

Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette:                                                                            This palette has been discontinued. Out of all the Too Faced palettes I own, this one is my all time favorite palette. I have loved every look I come up with using it and I love all the shades minus Pink Sugar (mainly because it’s just a glitter topper and I don’t use those often). There is almost zero kick back in the pans and there is ZERO fall out on the face, even with the metallics. The shades are pigmented and buttery smooth and blend out well and also buff into each other without going muddy. I am keeping this palette in my collection.

*Bonus Item* I also declutter the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette ($54 at Ulta):                         I have tried using this one a few time this past month and I just didn’t like the looks I created with it, I never really reach for it because I almost always have to reach for another palette to get a complete look. The shadows are powdery and the shimmers are under whelming. So I have decided to delclutter this palette.

20200204_130241

So there you have it… I decluttered 2 of the 7 older products with the potential to declutter 2 more by April. Well I hope you have a great rest of your day/night and that the day finds you in good spirits. Remember save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO

Testing Older Makeup and Face of the Day

Hey doll hey!!! Hope you are having a great day/night. I’m doing OK today. Today I picked 7 more older makeup products to test out to see if I’m going to keep it or declutter it. The items I chose today are: Hourglass Seamless Finish Foundation Stick ($46 at Sephora), Stila Aqua Glow Perfecting Primer (Discontinued), Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Aquacealer Concealer (), BECCA Backlight Priming Filter ($39 at Ulta and Sephora), MAC Bronzing Powder ($30 at MAC), the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette ($49 at Ulta), and the Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator ($26 on their website). I will review those 7 items in Final Thoughts…. so let’s jump into the Face of the Day ….

20200203_135746

Base: I primed the face using the Stila Aqua Glow Perfecting Primer (discontinued) and followed that up with the BECCA Backlight Priming Filter ($39 at Ulta and Sephora). I color corrected using the Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate ($12 at Target) in the shade Brightening Peach. For foundation I am using the Hourglass Seamless Finish Foundation Stick ($46 at Sephora) in the shade Buff. I used Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Aquacealer Concealer ($26 at Sephora) in the shade Light-Medium to conceal my under eyes. I set my face using Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder ($39 at Ulta) in the shade Translucent. I warmed up my face using MAC Bronzing Powder ($30 at MAC) in the shade Matte Bronze. I set my under eyes and baked my jaw line, bridge of nose, and center of my forehead using the RCMA No Color Powder ($15 on the Beautylish website).

20200203_135804

Eyes: I primed the lids using Tarte Shape Tape ($27 at Ulta) in the shade Light-Medium Honey and set that with more Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder. For today’s eye look I used the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette ($49 at Ulta). For my 1st transition color I used the shade Salted Caramel (a mid-toned orange based tan matte). As my 2nd transition color I used the shade Milk Chocolate (a dusty light brown matte). In my crease and the outer 1/2 of my mobile lid I used the shade Semi-Sweet (a mid-toned brown matte). On my mobile lid I used the shade Marzipan (a peachy shimmer) on the inner 2/3 of the lid and then I used the shade Black Forest Truffle (a deep burgundy brown with silver and gold flecks sequin) on the outer 1/3 and a little into the middle 1/3. I then took the a mixture of Hazelnut (a taupy brown metallic) and Creme Burlee (a gold metallic) and used that on there middle 1/3 to blend the inner and outer 1/3 together. I then took the shade Triple Fudge (a deep brown matte) and deepened the outer v. On the lower lash line I created a drop shadow using more of the shade Salted Caramel and then used the shade Semi-Sweet and Triple Fudge to deepen the lash line. I then lined my waterlines with NYX Eye Pencil ($4.50 at Ulta) in the shade Brown. I then did my eyebrows the same way I did them yesterday … using the Soap Brow technique to set my brows and filling in my brows using Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil ($24 at Ulta) in the shade 4.5 and then I carved out my brow line using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and set that with the shade White Chocolate (a vanilla matte). I then went over the tails of my brows using some of my Professional Brow Powder ($10 at the Oh La La Brow Bar) in the shade Dark Brown. I used the Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara ($6.79 at Target).

20200203_135725

Cheeks and Lips: For blush today I used NYX Sweet Cheeks Creamy Powder Blush-Matte ($7.50 at Ulta) in the shade Summer Breeze (a true coral matte). I highlighted the tops of my cheeks, bridge of my nose, center of my forehead, and Cupid’s Bow using the Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator ($26 on their website) in the shade Gilded Honey. I lined and filled in my lips using the ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade BFF (a warm nude).I topped that off with BH Cosmetics BH Liquid Lipstick ($9 on their website) in the shade Serena (a coral matte). I used NARS Lip Gloss ($24 at Sephora) in the shade Chihuahua to top off the lipstick. I then used theCharlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Skin-Perfecting Micro-Powder ($45 at Sephora and on the Beautylish website) in the shade 2 Medium as a finishing powder.

20200203_135829

Final Thoughts:

Stila Aqua Glow Perfecting Primer:                                                                                                   This primer is discontinued. I really don’t like stick primers, they drag across the face rudely. This one is no different. It’s a sticky primer that doesn’t seem to do anything. It doesn’t hold foundation well (I already have foundation removed from around my nose). I wasn’t impressed with it and have decluttered it from my collection.

BECCA Backlight Priming Filter:                                                                                                    This is such a beautiful illuminator. I love the way my skin looks when I have this one on. I even use it on days where I am not wearing any makeup. I am definitely keeping this primer. I will not be decluttering it.

Hourglass Seamless Finish Foundation Stick:                                                                                 I rarely reach for this foundation. It gets lost in my foundation collection. I do love the look of this foundation and I mainly purchased this one for travel, but due to my illness I almost never get a chance to travel….. I do really enjoy using this foundation so I am going to move it to my makeup desk so that it doesn’t get lost in the flow and I can use it more. I will not be decluttering this one either.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Aquacealer Concealer:                                                                        I only have 1/2 a bottle left of this concealer. I do like it it’s just not the color I’m liking anymore. It’s my exact face color and I have been liking concealers a shade lighter than my skin tone. It doesn’t settle into the fine lines around my eyes and it sets beautifully. I think I will use this one up and then try for the shade Light Neutral. I will not be declutter this one from my collection.

MAC Bronzing Powder:                                                                                                                        I have the shade Matte Bronze and it’s a great everyday shade. It’s got the perfect under-tone and isn’t dusty or cakey. I just seem to forget that I have it since it’s so slim and gets lost in my collection. I have moved it to my makeup desk and will not be decluttering it.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette:                                                                                                 This eyeshadow palette is such a great neutrals palette. The shades a bit dustier than some of my other palettes but they blend out smoothly with out skipping and the buff into each other seamlessly without getting muddy. There is little to no kick back in the pans and very little fall out on the face. I love all the colors in this palette and I have loved every look I have created with it. I will not be decluttering this palette.

Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator:                                                                                  I really have tried to love this cult classic but I just don’t. I find it to be too harsh because of the glitter. It’s a beautiful color, I just don’t love the way it sits on my face. I have decluttered it.

So there you go… out of the 7 older products I tested out today I am keeping 5 of them and have decluttered 2.

I hope you have a great rest of your day/night. Stay tuned tomorrow when I test out more of my stash to see what I will keep and what I will get rid of. Until then I hope you have as close to a pain free day as humanly possible and that your spoon count is high. Remember save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO
