Grungy Cut Crease January Week #2 Shop My Stash Look #3

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m having a functional day today. Moderate pain level, suitable energy and best yet… my cold is gone.

I wasn’t able to do makeup for 3 of the days I had planned so I am going to extend my makeup selections to week#3 for January. I will, however, swap out the things that I have been able to use this week.

It is chilly here in Florida today. It’s been raining all day. I thought for sure it was going to be a nice day so I had the air conditioner on last night and woke up to blistering cold.

For this grungy cut crease look I used 3 palettes:

1.  ColourPop Wild Nothing Palette ($18 for 0.50 oz / 14.20 grams of total product making it 0.042 oz / 1.18 g and $1.50 per shade). I’ll refer to this palette as the CPWN.

2. ColourPop x Kathleenlights So Jaded Palette. I’ll refer to this palette as the CPSJ.

3. Juvia’s Place Wahala II 30 Pan Palette (retail price $38 for 1.06 oz / 30 g of total product on their website making it 0.0035 oz / 1 g and $1.27 per shade on their website). I’ll refer to this palette as the JPW2.

So let’s get to the walk-through and pictorial for today’s look….

Eyes and Brows:

I started by setting my brows in place using Got 2 B Glued Spiking Glue ($7.99 at Ulta) and then I outlined and filled the brows in using the L’oreal Brow Stylist Definer ($9.49 for 0.003 oz / 0.09 g of product at Ulta) in the shade dark brunette. I cleaned up the top part of the brow using the Milk Makeup Flex Concealer ($28 on their website) in the shade Creme (Very fair with warm peach undertones) and the bottom of the brows using the Juvia’s Place I Prep, I Prime ($12 for 0.41 fl oz / 12 ml of product at Ulta) in the shade Shade 1 (milky white).

I started by laying down a wash from lash to brow bone with a flat shadder brush and the shade Lit (burnt coral – matte) from the JPW2.

Using a fluffy crease brush I applied the shade Jade (olive green – matte) from the JPSJ over the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid and the crease.

Using a fluffy paddle brush and the shade No Bounds (blackened brown – matte) from the CPWN I defined the outer v of the crease.

Using a fluffy crease brush I deepened the outer v of the crease with the shade Jasper (red brown – sequin mate) from the CPSJ.

Same as I did in yesterday’s cut-crease look I used a tiny flat detailer brush and some P.Louise Rumour Eye Base ($13 for 0.5 fl oz / 15 ml of product on their website) in the shade Rumour 0 (white) to cut my crease and then I applied the NYX Long Lasting Glitter Primer ($6.50 for 0.33 fl oz / 10 ml of product at Ulta) with another detailer brush.

Using a flat shadder brush I applied the shade Seashells (icy moss with pinpoints of silver pearl – metallic) from the CPWN to the newly cut crease.

Then using another flat shadder brush and the shade Tiger Eye (antique bronze – metallic) from the CPSJ I blurred the line of demarcation between the outer and middle 1/3 of the mobile lids.

I created a mid sized drop shadow with a pencil brush and more of the shade Jade (olive green – matte) from the CPSJ.

Then using a smaller pencil brush and the shade  Jasper (red brown – sequin mate) from the CPSJ I deepened the lashline.

I tightlined my water lines using the ColourPop BFF Creme Gel Liner (this shade part of the Upsy Daisy Liner Kit for $25, 5 shades) in the shade Idyllic (deep forest green .

Final Thoughts:

I love a good grungy eye look and I love a great cut crease this is the best of both worlds. I loved this look so much.

I’ve also been loving my hair like this (it’s a trick I do for wash days where I just dont have either the time or the energy to wash my hair) It’s like having bangs without the commitment.

I totally wore an olive green shirt by coincidence… but hey my shadow matches the shirt that’s cute right? I also didn’t realize how pretty olive green and hot pink are together. This inspires me to knit a shirt with these colors.

Well… thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.

Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
