Hey doll hey!!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. My day is OK… in a bit more pain than the last few days and less energy but all in all OK.
I received another one of my beauty buys today so I’m here to haul it for ya 😊
I order a few items that I saw floating around TikTok from the company Merit Beauty…. a clean, cruelty free vegan brand.
*As always… All products listed I purchased myself, all links provided are purely for convenience purposes to help you find the product quickly and are in no way affiliate links. The swatches are done on clean bare skin with no primer and are done in 1 swipe, pictures to the left/top are taking without flash and the right/bottom with flash*

This is what my order came wrapped in…. isn’t it cute? It doesn’t have any closures so I’m going to add a few D-rings to the handles and a cute leather strap and snap closure to turn it into a little handbag. It’s made of faux suede and I think it will be a cute summer bag.

Merit The Minimalist ($38 for 0.13 oz/3.7 g on their website) is billed as not a foundation or concealer, but it’ll replace both in your makeup bag. They claim it was designed this in place of all-over coverage, so you can make small edits only where you need them. this product claims to be lightweight, hydrating formula wears throughout the day without settling into fine lines with light-to-medium coverage that stays breathable all day. It comes in 20 shades with plenty of variation for all skin tones.

I purchased the shade Silk (fair with neutral undertones) but I think I should have picked up the shade Linen (light with neutral undertones) because I feel this shade is just a tad light for me. I can make it work with some bronzer but if I like how it performs I will repurchase in the correct shade.
First Impressions: This is a very light weight product that is very creamy and blends out so effortlessly. It doesn’t set down so I will need to set it lightly with powder but I believe this product will be ideal for low maintenance makeup days.

Merit Day Glow Highlighting Balm ($30 for 0.14 oz/4 g on their website) is billed as being made for daytime, this highlighter gives a dewy, balmy sheen with zero sparkle, as a translucent, moisturizing highlighter that illuminates skin for that fresh-morning-dewdrop-on-a-flower-petal sheen and comes in 2 shades.

I purchased the shade Bounce (rose gold).
First Impressions: This highlighter is very creamy with very little payoff. From this swatch I’m a bit disappointed but will still try it out to see if on the face it’s any better.

Merit Flush Balm ($28 for 0.31 oz/9 g on their website) is billed as a foolproof, flexible balm that deposits a creamy, transparent veil of color to let your skin show through and comes in 5 shades.

I purchased the shade Beverly Hills (peach).
First Impressions: This is a very light wash of color that is perfect for no makeup/ makeup days and is a super pretty product.

Merit Shade Slick Tinted Lip Oil ($24 for 0.23 fl. oz/7 ml on their website) is billed as Somewhere between an oil and a light stain, this lip tint was made for whenever and wherever and claims that repeated use helps to maintain natural moisture levels in lips over time and comes in 4 shades.
I purchased the shade Marrakech (peach).
First Impressions: The swatch felt very hydrating but the color is pretty sheer. It’s actually a bit more coral peach than the pictures show. I like this product and swatched it on my lips to see if would leave a stain behind as the claims would suggest…. sadly it did not but it’s still pretty.
Well dolls that’s all to this haul. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.
Don’t forget to save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
XOXO, Nita
