Week 4 of March 2022 Makeup Haul

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m ok… in some pretty tough joint pain but I do have energy.

I received a few makeup orders in the mail this week and thought I would haul them. I am waiting on 2 orders (one is from Thrive Cosmetics and the other is from ColourPop… the new Avatar The Last Air Bender Collab).

Today’s post has things I purchased from Milk Makeup, Dermstore and ColourPop….

So let’s take a look at what I purchased this week….

*remember as always, all hyperlinks provided are simply for fast location of the products used and not affiliate links… I just did the research so you didn’t have to. The hyperlinks are no longer in color since WordPress took that feature away, they will be in bold printall swatches are done on clean, bare skin with no primer and in 1 pass to give you the best representation of the product’s performance*

Up first the 5 products I purchased from the Milk Makeup website… I will provide the hyper links for Sephora’s website since Milk’s website doesn’t ship outside the U.S.

Milk Makeup Bionic Liquid Blush ($22 for 0.27 oz / 8 ml of product at Sephora) is offered in 4 shades, I purchased the shade Infinity (dusty rose), and is billed as being a liquid blush that can be blended sheer or layered for more intense payoff and is infused with hyaluronic acid and mushroom for a hydrated flush of color.

What I’ve learned from this swatch: This blush has a serum like consistency that needs to be shaken before use or it will be super runny, as you see in the swatch pictures. It’s sheer but I can tell I will be able to layer it nicely. This shade is a stunning wash of color perfect for all 4 seasons.

Milk Makeup Bionic Liquid Blush ($22 for 0.27 oz / 8 ml of product at Sephora) is offered in 4 shades, I purchased the shade Teleport (coral), and is billed as being a liquid blush that can be blended sheer or layered for more intense payoff and is infused with hyaluronic acid and mushroom for a hydrated flush of color.

What I’ve learned from this swatch: This blush has a serum like consistency that needs to be shaken before use or it will be super runny, as you see in the swatch pictures. It’s sheer but I can tell I will be able to layer it nicely. This shade is my favorite shade of blush… Milk does coral shades expertly.

Milk Makeup Bionic Liquid Bronzer ($30 for 0.6 oz/ 17 ml of total product at Sephora) is offered in 3 shades, I purchased the shade Shapeshifter (medium bronze) and is billed as a weightless liquid bronzer with skincare benefits that can be dialed up for a warm, sunkissed finish or sheered out for a soft, diffused contour.

What I learned from this swatch: Like the blush formula in this same line, the bronzer must be shaken to keep it’s serum like consistency from being too runny. It seems like it will be an amazing bronzer… very skin like.

Milk Makeup Bionic Glow Illuminating Liquid Highlighter ($34 for 0.91 oz/ 26.8 ml of product at Sephora) is offered in 2 shades, I purchased the shade Virtual (peach), and is billed as a liquid illuminator with skincare benefits that can be worn on your face and body or mixed with moisturizer or foundation for a natural-looking glow

What I learned from this swatch: A little bit goes a long way, it dries completely down with no budge… doesn’t over emphasize the texture of my hand and is such a pretty universal shade.

Milk Makeup Flex Concealer ($28 for 0.2 oz/ 5.9 ml of product at Sephora) is offered in 19 shades at Sephora and 24 shades on their own website, I purchased the shade Porcelain (Very fair with neutral undertones… it’s not offered at Sephora in this shade).

I don’t have a first impression because I have been using this formula for about 1/2 a year now in my exact shade match… it’s a really great concealer.

The next 5 items I purchased from Dermstore (they do not ship internationally so I will put the hyperlinks to the products that I can find at Sephora, there are a few items not offered . Wander Beauty’s website also has ways for international customers to receive products on their shipping page.

Wander Beauty Flash Focus Hydrating Foundation Stick ($32 for 0.32 oz / 9.07 g of product at Dermstore) it is only offered in this shade, I believe this foundation stick has been discontinued. The shade is called Deep (I purchased it as a cream bronzer) and is billed as a flawless complexion in a stick that glides on the skin effortlessly creating a natural-looking and even finish. Complete with a nourishing coconut oil formula, this foundation delivers buildable medium coverage.

What I learned from this swatch: This foundation is super creamy and leaves a healthy flush of color to the skin that’s perfection. I so wish I would have discovered this foundation stick when they were available so that I could have purchased it in my shade too.

Wander Beauty Wanderess Glow ($30 for 0.21 oz / 6 g of product on the Dermstore website) is only offered in the shade After Hours (champagne) and is billed as a soft, silky, pressed powder highlighter made with light-reflecting pigments, blends seamlessly onto skin to enhance your natural glow. Enriched with a nourishing combination of edelweiss flower extract and sunflower seed oil, these ingredients help keep skin supple and retain moisture.

What I learned from this swatch: This is a super creamy powder highlight. It’s a beautiful undertone and doesn’t catch on any of the texture of my hand. It’s super pigmented so just a little swirl in the pan is all that is needed.

Wander Beauty Dualist Matte and Illuminating Concealer ($30 for Size Stick – 0.16 oz/ 4.5 g, Liquid – 0.12 oz/ 3.5 g at Sephora) is offered in 5 shades, I purchased the shade Fair  (porcelain with neutral warm undertones) and is billed as an innovative, double-sided concealer, with a full-coverage matte stick on one end and a lightweight, illuminating liquid on the other.

What I learned from this swatch: The liquid side is very hydrating but the shade is darker than the built side. The built side is creamy and I prefer this side in both texture and shade.

Wander Beauty On-the-Glow Blush & Illuminator ($38 for 0.4 oz, 12g on the Wander Beauty website) it’s offered in 5 shades, I purchased the shade Strawberry Fields (rosy raspberry) and is billed as a 2018 Allure Best in Beauty Award and a multitasker that delivers a full look in the palm of your hand! On-the-Glow can be used on cheeks, lips, eyes and body, streamlining your beauty routine and helping you do more with less. With cream color on one end and a buildable illuminator on the other, On-the-Glow keeps you gorgeous on the go.

What I learned from this swatch: The formula is super creamy and has just enough pigment to allow for a super pretty wash of color but can be built up for a more intense cheek. All of the dual ended blush/highlighter sticks has the same highlight shade in them (I don’t mind as I truly love this highlighter).

Wander Beauty On-the-Glow Blush & Illuminator ($38 for 0.4 oz, 12g on the Wander Beauty website) it’s offered in 5 shades, I purchased the shade Sienna Sunset (warm spiced peach) and is billed as a 2018 Allure Best in Beauty Award and a multitasker that delivers a full look in the palm of your hand!
