Happy Sunday dolls. I hope all is well with you today. Today is a high pain day for me. We woke up to cold weather here in Florida and it’s messing with my spoonie bits.
For today’s face of the day I am using new makeup I purchased from Private Society Cosmetics… it’s a brand I never heard of before and happened to see an Instagram ad for. This post will be the face of the day with no final thoughts because I am dedicating a full blog post to the product review.
Base: Private Society does not have primer so I chose to use the one I use every time I am testing a new foundation…. Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer ($54 at Sephora). To conceal I am using the Private Society Coveted Concealer (regularly $22 on sale for $8 on their website) in the color Medium. For foundation today I am using the Private Society Drops of Perfection foundation (regularly $30 on sale for $14 on their website) in the color Medium. They have no face powders so I am using my tried and true Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder ($39 at Ulta) in translucent. Private Society does have a bronzer contour stick, but I don’t like how the face feels with so many cream products so I chose to use my Benefit Hoola Bronzer ($30 at Ulta) to bronze my face today.
Eyes: I primed my eyes with Tarte Shape Tape ($27 at Ulta) in the color Light Medium Honey. I set the Shape Tape with Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Single ($0.99 at Walgreens) in the color Creme Brulee. For today’s eye look I am using the Private Society Girl Boss Palette (regularly $30 on sale for $15 on their website). As my transition color I chose the medium terra cotta color called CEO. As my crease color I chose the medium brown (with an orange undertone) called Money Maker. For my lower lash line I chose the true terra cotta color called Brunch. On my lids I am wearing the copper shimmer called Iconic on the first 2/3 of the lid and then on the last 1/3 of the lid I am wearing the dark brown with copper reflect called VIP. on my out v and out lower lash line I am wearing the deep brown with grey undertone called Friyay. I then used my BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on the BH Cosmetics website) on the matte side and I set it with the true white shade called First Class. I highlighted my inner corners with the pale champagne satin called Socialite. I did my brows with the combo of ELF Ultra Precise Brow Pencil ($5 on their website) and Wow Brow ($4 on their website) in the color dark brown. For mascara I chose MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash ($20 at Ulta and MAC).
Cheeks and Lips: I used the Secret Admirer Blush Palette from Private Society (regularly $42 on sale for $30 on their website). I chose the color Sweet Romance (an orange coral) as my blush and I used the color Day Dreaming (a coral with silver reflect) as my highlighter. I lines and filled my lips in with Private Society Lip Service (regularly $16 on sale for $5 on their website) in the color Reign ( a light peachy pink). On my lips I have their liquid lipstick Lip Lock (regularly $18 on sale for $6 on their website) in the color Karma, a mid toned pink with blue undertones, I then over lined my lip with NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner ($4 at Ulta) in the color Whipped Caviar. I originally highlighted my cupid’s bow with Day Dreaming from the Secret Admirer palette and realized it was too pink so I used my foundation brush to take the pink down and used Socialite, the eyeshadow from the Girl Boss palette.
Well that’s all for now dolls… stay tuned for my product review of the Private Society makeup line, up next.
Hope you are having an as pain free as possible day and that your energy is good.
Remember dolls, always save a spoon for a bit of makeup.
