Hey doll hey! I hope today you are having a low pain day and high spoon day. I slept in today, not feeling my best… the rain is causing a high pain day. I started to cancel my makeup play today but I didn’t want to stay pale faced today.

I know I’ve said I hate glitter, but I wanted to try and expand my makeup looks, so I decided to try my hand at some glitter today…. I hated it …. glitter everywhere …. but I have to admit glitter is so shiny it makes the lids look so pretty …. I used pressed glitters… I don’t ever see me trying loose glitter, ever…. but it was cool to try the pressed glitters.

So let’s get into it ….

20200104_134501 (1) Base:                                                                                                                                                         I used It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Primer ($38 at Ulta and on their website). I color corrected using the Tarte CC Undereye Corrector ($25 at Ulta) in the color Light-Medium. For foundation today I chose Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation ($50 at Sephora) in the color Beige 3. To conceal my under eyes I used NYX HD Studio Photogenic Concealer ($6 at Ulta) in the color CW03.5 Nude Beige. I set my full face using Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte 16-Hour Powder ($7.29 at Target) in the color 200 Natural Beige. I warmed up the face using MAC Bronzing Powder ($30 at Ulta or MAC) in Matte Bronze.

Eyes:                                                                                                                                                          I primed my eyes using MAC Paint Pot ($22 at Ulta and MAC) in the color Soft Ochre. I used 2 eyeshadow palettes today… BH Cosmetics Ultimate Matte 42 Color Eye Shadow Palette ($28 on their website)  and Private Society Girl Boss Eye Shadow Palette ($35 on their website). To set the Paint Pot I used the 1st shadow on the 3rd row of the BH Palette (a basic cream matte). For my 1st transition shade I used the 2nd color of the 4th row (a soft peachy coral matte). As my 2nd transition shade I chose the 4th shade of the 4th row (a light tan matte). I used a combination of the 6th shade of the 5th row (a mid-toned true brown matte) and 6th shade of the 6th row (a muted red toned brown matte) for the outer v and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid. In the crease I chose Brunch (a mid-toned true terra cotta matte) from the Private Society palette. I then used Too Faced Glitter Glue ($22 at Sephora) as a base to my mobile lids and then I chose Hundo (a pure gold glitter) for the inner 1/3 of the lid on the middle 1/3 of the lid I chose Instafamous (a coppery rose gold glitter). On the outer 1/3 of the lid I chose Status Symbol (a true rose gold glitter). I then went back into Brunch and used it to blend Instafamous and Status Symbol into each other. I then took a bit of Brunch and smoked it out along the lower lash line. I used Hikari Cream Pigment ($15 on their website) in the color Honey Dew on the inner corners. I lined the waterlines with BH Cosmetics Power Pencil ($8 on their website) in the color Beige. I did my eyebrows the same as I did them yesterday, using ELF Lock on Liner and Brow Cream ($4 on their website) in the color Medium Brown and ColourPop Brow Boss Gel ($6.50 on their website) in the color Dark Brown. I carved out my brow line with the BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and set the brow line using the BH palette’s 1st shade on the 1st row (a light cream matte). For mascara today I chose Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes ($29 on the Beautylish website) in the color Glossy Black.

Cheeks and Lips: For blush today I used the 2nd color on the top row (a mid-toned peach matte) of the ELF Blush Palette ($8 on their website). I used Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight ($25 at Ulta) in the color 01 Hefty Highlight (a pinky champagne) on the tops of my cheek bones and then set it with Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Backed Powder ($44 at Sephora) in the color Highlight 01. I also used this powder to highlight the nose, between my brows, the brow bones and my Cupid’s Bow. For lips today I used BH Cosmetics Waterproof Lip Liner ($5 on their website) in the color Earth(a mid-toned peachy brown) and then I filled in my lips using MAC Matte Lipstick ($19 at Ulta and MAC) in the color Kinda Sexy ( soft coral matte) I layered it with Loreal Pop Balm ($8.95 at Walmart) in the color 420 Bold Blush (a milky pink).

Final Thoughts….

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Primer:                                                                                              I’ve already said I don’t truly like this primer that much. I hate the scent and the white cast in gives… there is tons of flash back with this primer. I am just trying to use up what I have left. Definitely not a repurchase item.

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation: A+++                                                                                               It comes in 30 shades, 14 shades for deeper skin. You get 1 fluid ounce of product. It’s billed as a water-based, oil-free formula that delivers undetectable coverage and a fresh, hydrated glow for the most natural skin-like finish and minimizes the appearance of pores. The shade I have is the perfect shade match for me. This foundation is beautiful and dewy. I hate setting this foundation because it’s just so pretty on the skin that I hate to cover up the glow you get with this foundation. It doesn’t emphasize the pores at all, it doesn’t completely blur the pores but it does mask them for the most part. I forget just how much I love this foundation. This foundation is so skin like… you can’t even tell you are wearing any product. This is definitely my favorite shop my stash find for me.

NYX HD Studio Photogenic Concealer: A-                                                                                        This concealer comes in 23 shades, 8 shades for deeper skin. You get .11 ounces of product.  This is a comfortable concealer. It’s not full coverage but it is buildable. It doesn’t crease and it doesn’t cake up. It’s a good everyday concealer. It’s not too thick it’s not too thin… it’s the perfect consistency for the undereye.

Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte 16-Hour Powder: A++                                                                   This powder comes in 8 shades, 3 for deeper skin. You get .31 ounces of product in this compact. I forgot this powder was in my collection and in doing so have forgotten how much I love this powder!!! It is full on matte but never looks cakey or patchy. Every time I have used this powder I have only had to powder 1 time… I almost never have to touch up with this powder… maybe on the really hot days in the summer I might have to touch up 1 time, but for the most part this sets my face so well that I don’t have to retouch my face. On the handful of times that I have had to touch up it doesn’t make my face look patchy or chalky… just makes it look perfected. I am definitely going to get some use out of this powder…. I will keep it in my everyday drawer and once I hit pan I will definitely be repurchasing it.

MAC Bronzing Powder: B-                                                                                                             This line comes in 4 shades. You get .35 ounces of product. I like this bronzer for a subtle bronze. It’s not as pigmented as say Give Me Sun from MAC is but it’s a nice daily bronzer to just warm the face up a bit. It doesn’t build up much so you can’t over do it with this one. It’s nice but I will not repurchase this one once I hit pan because I have drug store bronzers that are similar to this one.

BH Cosmetics Ultimate Matte 42 Color Eye Shadow Palette: A++                                          You get 1.9 ounces of product in this palette. This is an amazing palette. There are many transition and crease shades in this palette and you get every color you will ever need to create any kind of look you want. I am super impressed with this palette. It’s super pigmented, blends out easily, and never is patchy or chalky…. the only down side is that there is some serious kick back with this palette… which is odd because there is never any fall out with this palette. It’s a great staple palette to own.

Private Society Girl Boss Eye Shadow Palette: A-                                                                      You get .30 ounces of product in this palette. I absolutely love the mattes and shimmers in this palette. I turned away from the glitters in this palette because…. say it with me …. I HATE GLITTER…. so I decided to try the glitters today … glitter fallout ever where…. and I mean EVERY WHERE. The glitter colors are beautiful and pigmented but even using a glitter glue I got major fallout. Over all it’s an amazing palette though and will continue to use the palette as a whole.

ELF Blush Palette: A                                                                                                                             It comes in 2 matte and 1 cream versions. You get .56 ounces of product. These blushes are so good for being that affordable. The blushes aren’t chalky and they never go own patchy. The have a descent amount of pigment. It’s a good travel palette. I’ve purchased this palette 2 times this past year….it’s really a great blush palette.

Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight: B+                                                                          You get .12 ounces of product in the stick. I have had this one in my collection for 2 years without opening it so I decided to try it out today and I gotta say … it’s a really great cream product. I tend to steer clear of cream products because they just don’t do well with the texture of my skin … this is a wonderful surprise. I used it over my powdered cheeks and it went on and blended in smoothly. It has just the right amount of shine to it that it would be a great product to use on no makeup — makeup days. I will definitely be using this product up. Not sure if I will repurchase, I need to test it out more, but my first impression is that it’s a great product.

Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Backed Powder: A+                                                                     It comes in 4 bronze shades and 1 universal highlight shade. You get .26 ounces of product. I love the highlighter shade so much. There isn’t any glitter in it… it’s soft, and it never goes on patchy or emphasizes my pores and fine lines. I love the way this looks down the bridge of my nose and I love the way it looks across the tops of my brows. I have had the same compact for a little over 2 years and have barely made a dent in it. A little goes a long way.

BH Cosmetics Waterproof Lip Liner: A                                                                                        You get .04 ounces of product. It only comes in 2 colors. I like this pencil a lot. Once it’s on it doesn’t budge. It really is water proof, I swatched it on the back of my hand and had to scrub it to get it off. It’s a shame it only comes in 2 colors…. I could see myself picking up every shade they make.

MAC Matte Lipstick: A+++                                                                                                              You get .1 ounce of product in the bullet. It comes in 41 shades, I own 5. This is a long wearing formula that is comfortable on the lips. For being a matte it’s really creamy too. You can’t go wrong with a good MAC lipstick. MAC has one of my all time favorite formulas of lipstick.

Loreal Pop Balm: B++ This product is discontinued. I just opened it for the first time. It’s a shame that it is discontinued because this is a great little lip balm to throw over a matte lip to give the lip a bit more life. I wish Loreal would come back out with this product. I would have loved to have had other shades.

Well that’s all for now dolls. Hope your day has been going good. Remember save a spoon for a bit of makeup.

XOXO
