Quick No Makeup Makeup Look Face of the Day

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m still in a world of pain today. I slept in until 10:30 AM and really didn’t feel like fiddling around with my makeup so I decided to do one of my go to “no makeup” makeup looks. Now my eye brows didn’t cooperate with me today … they look so bold against this fresh faced look but there was nothing I could do to fix them so I’ll be doing another “no makeup” makeup look tomorrow and hopefully the brows will be better.

Today I am wearing Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream perfume. Let’s jump into today’s Face of the Day ….

oof these brows are just so bad today!!!

Base:                                                                                                                                                         I primed my face using Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer ($54 at Sephora) and just a tad bit of Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Ulta) around the pores of my cheek area. I used the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter ($44 on the Beautylish website) in the shade #3 Light/Medium to give my skin that lit from within glow. For foundation today I am using Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation ($44 at Sephora) in the shade 4.5 Medium. Normally for my “no makeup” makeup looks I use a BB or CC cream, but I wanted to know how this foundation would work with the Flawless Filter and this foundation is typically a light medium coverage anyway so it still works with the look as a whole.  I took the Hollywood Flawless Filter up under my under eyes so I chose not to use a color corrector today instead I just used 3 little dots of ColourPop No Filter Concealer ($7 on their website) in the shade Medium 20.  I contoured using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand ( $38 on the Beautylish website) in the shade 2 Medium/Dark… I used it around the perimeter of my forehead, hollows of the cheeks, and the bridge of my nose. I then highlighted the bridge of my nose, cupid’s bow, tops of the cheeks, center of the chin, and high points above my brows using the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand ($39 on the Beautylish website). I then set the rest of my face using Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Skin Perfecting Micro-Powder ($45 at Sephora) in the shade 2 Medium (this is also the powder I’ll use for touch ups today). Because this look is very neutral and a bit pale I needed to add a bit more depth to the perimeter of the face so I used the lightest hand and the tiniest amount of Benefit Boxed Bronzer ($30 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Hoola.

Eyes:                                                                                                                                                         I primed my lids using P.Louise Base ($10 pound sterling/ $12.08 USD on their website… can also be found on the Morphie website for $15) in the shade Rumour 0.5. For today’s eye look I used the NYX Ultimate Shadow Palette ($12.60 at Ulta) in the colorway Warm Neutrals. I started with the 3rd shade of the 1st row (a creamy vanilla matte) and I buffed it in from lash line to brow bone. To add definition to the crease I went in with the 4th shade of the 2nd row (a light toned camel tan matte) into the crease and above the crease a little into the transition line. For my mobile lid I wanted just a bit of shimmer so I used the 4th shade of the 1st row (a champagne with a slight yellow flip shimmer). For my lower lash line I just wanted to add a bit of definition so i buffed a little of the camel tan color into the lash line. I highlighted my inner corners with Hikari Cream Pigment ($15 on their website) in the shade HoneyDew (an icy pink with a silver flip metallic). I lined my lower lash line using The Balm Mr. Write Eyeliner (originally $13 but on sale right now for $6.50 on their website) in the shade Seymour Datenights. I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 at Dollar General) in clear and then filled in my brows using Joah Brow Down To Me Precision Brow Pencil (originally $9.50 but on sale for $6.65 on their website) in the shade Black Brown. I carved out my brow line using the BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the shimmer side and set the brow line using the 1st shade of the 1st row (a creamy ivory matte). I coated my upper and lower lashes with 1 coat of Milani Dangerous Lengths Mascara ($9.99 at Ulta).

Cheeks and Lips:                                                                                                                            Since I did the cream highlighter and was really loving the effect of it I chose not to use powder highlighter today. For blush today I chose Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-HR Blush ($29 at Sephora) in the shade Blissful (bright rose matte). I lined my lips using NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner ($4 at Ulta) in the shade Wipped Caviar (a reddish pink nude). I topped the lips off using Charlotte Tilbury  K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick ($34 at Sephora) in the shade Bitch Perfect (a peach toned nude creme).

Final Thoughts:                                                                                                                                      I love “no makeup” makeup looks. They are quick to apply and give a soft and subtle look to your complexion. Typically I use a eye brow powder instead of a pencil or pomade, I just forgot to reach for mine brow powder and just reached out for my pencil. I find that for a naked look brow powders are the best because they look the most natural as far as makeup goes. I had already had most of my right brow on when I realized my mistake and since I already had my eye shadow done I didn’t want to have to start over so I just rolled with it… I’m not going anywhere today anyway so it’s OK …

Typically with no makeup makeup days I start off with my eyes, then do my brows, and then I go on to my complexion. I do the complexion last so that I can carve out my brow line at the top without disturbing my foundation or bb cream.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits and health. Remember … Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO
