Green Smokey Eye Face of the Day

Hey doll hey!!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m still in a heap of pain but I have a bit more energy than I had yesterday. I really didn’t have enough energy to do anything to my hair so I just did a simple 2 bun hair look…. I know it doesn’t look the best but it’s what I could do with my hair being so long … so there it is.

Today I am wearing Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Perfume (scent notes are : Blue Wisteria, Jasmine, Blackberry, White Woods, and Coconut Water). For today’s look I used the Urban Decay Born to Run Palette ($49 at Sephora. Let’s take a look at how I created today’s Face of the Day …..

Base:

I primed my face using Fenty Pro Filt’r Hydrating Primer ($32 at Sephora) and prepped my pores using Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Ulta and Sephora). I used my Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter ($44 at Sephora) in the shade 3 today to add just a slight lilt to the high points of my face. I contoured using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand ($38 at Sephora and on the Beautylish website) in the shade Medium/Deep. For foundation today I am wearing a combo of 4 pumps of BECCA Backlight Priming Filter ($39 at Ulta and Sephora) and 2 drops of DermaBlend Flawless Creator ($44 at Ulta) in the shade 30N (light skin with neutral undertones).  I bronzed up the face using Fenty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer ($32 at Sephora) in the shade 05 Teddy (tan skin tones). I highlighted the high points of my face using the BECCA Ignite Liquified Light Highlighter ($38 for 1.5 fluid ounces of product at Ulta) in the shade Passion (pale, iridescent pearl that reflects gold). I color corrected using BECCA Under Eye Brightening Corrector ($32 on their website) in the shade light/medium and then concealed my under eyes using L’Oreal Infallible Full Wear More Than Concealer ($13.49 at Ulta) in the shade #360 Cashmere. I set my under eyes using Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder ($28 at Sephora and Ulta). I set the rest of my face using BECCA Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder ($39) in the original shade. I touched up the bronzer on my face using Makeup Revolution Bronzer Reloaded ($7 at Ulta) in the shade Take a Vacation. For touch ups I am using Flower Light Illusion Perfecting Powder ($13.99 at Ulta) in the shade Beige.

Eyes:

I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 only at Dollar General Stores) in clear and then filled in my bows using ELF Lock On Liner & Brow Cream ($4 on their website) in the shade Medium Brown.  I carved out my brows and primed my lids using the P.Louise Base ($10 GBP/ $12.79 USD on their website) in the shade #02 Rumour. For today’s eye look I used the Urban Decay Born to Run Palette ($49 at Sephora. I started by setting my brow line using the shade Breakaway (warm ivory – shimmer). FOr my transition color I used the shade Riff  (brown-nude – matte). For my crease color I used a combo of the shades Riff (brown-nude – matte) and Baja  (burnt orange – matte). I deepened the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid and the outer v of the crease using a combo of (brown-nude – matte), Baja  (burnt orange – matte) and Punk (deep red-brown – matte). For the remaining 2/3 of the mobile lid I used the shade Big Sky (frosted green with iridescent micro-sparkle – shimmer). I then patted the shade Wanderlust (forest green with gold micro-glitter – shimmer) over the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid. For the lower lash line I created a drop shadow using a combo of the shades Riff (brown-nude – matte), Baja  (burnt orange – matte) and Weekender (light neutral beige – matte). I then deepened the lash line using the shade Punk (deep red-brown – matte) and then created some dimension to the under eye by combining the shades Good as Gone (deep brown with iridescent micro-glitter – shimmer), Ignite (rose gold – metallic), and Wanderlust (forest green with gold micro-glitter – shimmer) and then laying more of Punk over that. I highlighted the inner corners of my eyes using the shade Blaze (light metallic peach with pink shift- metallic).I then tight lined my my upper and lower waterlines using Sephora 12HR Colorful Contour Eye Pencil ($11 at Sephora) in the shade Cocoa (Chocolate Brown). I coated my lower and upper lashes using Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara ($23 at Ulta and Sephora).

Cheeks and Lips:

For blush today I used the 2nd (nude peach) and 4th (light blue based pink) shades of the ELF Cream Blush Palette ($8 at Ulta and on the ELF website) and then set that with a slight tap of Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush ($29 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Captivating (bright peach – matte). I touched up my highlighter on the high points of my face and my Cupid’s Bow using Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder ($44 at Sephora) in the shade #01 Highlight. I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil (part of the big box of lippie pencils vault – out of stock) in the shade Oh Sis (smoked paprika) and filled in my lips using Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick ($34 at Sephora) Kidman’s Kiss (rose petal pink – matte).

Final Thoughs:

I love the color combo of smokey oranges and sea greens together. I was really happy with the final look.

I finally got the ingredients to make homemade soft pretzels I was hoping to make them today but I just don’t have enough energy to spend on an extra thing today and my back is super tender so standing for a while is out of the question, hell…. sitting up is painful enough …. I’ll have to wait until the weekend I suppose.

Well, that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits and health.

Remember …. Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.

XOXO, Nita
