Vibrant Eye Face of the Day

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m doing pretty good today. I have some muscle spasms but all in all I’m doing pretty good.

I got out feeling like doing a fun vibrant look today so this is what I came up with. For this eye look I used the Natasha Denona Mini Nude Palette and the Juvia’s Place Warrior 3 Palette.

Today’s scent is a little sample of Maison Margiela Replica Beach Walk that I received in my last Sephora order. The scent notes are…. At the Top: Bergamont, Pink Pepper, Heliotrope and Lemon. In the Middle: Transluzone (creates a aquatic odor), Ylang Ylang, and Coconut Milk. Finishes With: Musk, Cedar, and Benzoin (balsamic resin).

Now on to the walk through of today’s Face of the Day …..

Base:

I primed my facing using I Heart Revolution Coconut Dream Hydrating Primer ($8 at Ulta) in combo with Pixi by Petra Flawless Beauty Primer ($22 on their website) for a bit of glow. I primed my pores using Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Ulta and Sephora). I contoured my face using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand ($38 at Sephora) in the shade Medium Dark. I chose Juvia’s Place I Am Magic Velvety Matte Foundation ($20 at Ulta) in the shade #650 Alexandria (light skin neutral undertones). I bronzed my face using Tarte SEA Breezy Cream Bronzer ($29 at Sephora) in the shade Grace Bay I color corrected my under eyes using Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate ($12 at Target) in Brightening Peach. For concealer today I am using AOA Paw Paw Liquid Concealer ($1.55 on the Shop Miss A website) in the shade Light Ivory.  I highlighted the high points of my face using the ELF Jelly Highlighter ($6 on their website) in the shade Dew (gold).  I set my under eyes using the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder ($28 at Ulta and Sephora). I set the rest of my face using ELF Halo Glow Setting Powder ($8 on their website) in the color Light. I touched up the bronzer on my face using Benefit Boxed Bronzer ($30 at Ulta and Sephora) in Hula. For touch ups I am using MAC Mineralize Skinfinish ($36 at Ulta) in the shade Medium Golden.

Eyes:

I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 only at Dollar General Stores) in clear and then filled in my bows using Pixi by Petra Endless Brow Gel Pen ($10.99 at Target) in the shade Deep. I carved out my brows using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the shimmer side and then primed my lids using the P Louise Base ($13.07 on their website or at Morphe’s website ) in the shade Rumour. I set the brow line using Wet n Wild Color Icon Single Shadow ($.99 at Walgreens) in the shade Sugar (icy white – shimmer). For today’s eye look I used 2 palettes: Natasha Denona Mini Nude Palette ($25 at Sephora) and the Juvia’s Place Warrior 3 Palette ($20 at Ulta). I started with the Mini Nude Palette. I used the shade Quoin (golden tan – matte) as my transition shade. I then switched to the Warrior 3 and went into a combo of the shades Fanti (bright neon pink – matte) and Kahina (berry red – matte) as my crease color. I deepened the outer v and the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid with more of Kahina (berry red – matte). On the remaining 2/3 of my mobile lid I used the shade Karama (steel blue – metallic). I then tapped the shade Kongo (icy sky blue – metallic) over the middle 1/3 to blend the outer and inner 1/3 together. For my lower lash line I created a drop shadow with what was left on my transition brush (the one with the shade Quoin on it). I then used what was left of my crease brush (the combo of Fanti & Kahina) to tie the eye look together. I then wanted a bit more definition so I went in with more of the shade Kongo (icy sky blue – metallic) and then I went over that with more of the shade Fanti (bright neon pink – matte) to create a hint of purple to the look buffing this shade down further so that some of the pink would show through as well. I highlighted the inner corners of my eyes using the shade Lumino (pearl – metallic). I lined my lower waterlines using ColourPop Lippie Pencil (only sold in the Big box of Lippie Pencils Vault … currently sold out) in the shade Whatchamacallit (dusty denim). I used 1 coat of mascara using Flower Beauty Lash Warrior Mascara ($9.99 at Ulta) in the shade Fiercest Black and then popped on a pair of Alter Ego False Lashes ($5 on their website) in the style Flare.

For blush today I am wearing Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek ($28 at Sephora) in the shade Perk (coral). I lightly set that using the shade Bashful (peachy coral – matte) from the Private Society Secret Admirer Palette ($42 on their website). I touched up my highlighter using the shade Tee (white gold) from the RachhLoves x Pixie The Layers Highlighter Palette ($24 at Target and on their website). I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil (only available in the Big Box of Lippie Pencils currently sold out) in the shade Dial Up (vibrant hot pink) and topped the lips off with ColourPop Lippie Stix (only available in the Big Box of Lippie Stix Vault currently sold out) in the shade Are You Surreal (vibrant hot pink).

I haven’t done a fun bright look in a little bit and I truly forgot just how much I love a good hot pink lippie.

Maison Margiela Replica Beach Walk perfume is AMAZING!! It’s billed as  the scent of salt air, the perfume of sunscreen, the glow of sun kissed skin…Replica Beach Walk women’s fragrance evokes the memory of endless summer days. It runs for $130 for 3.4 fluid ounces and I am here for it!!!!

I am so purchasing the full sized for my birthday next month. It’s the perfect everyday scent but it can also work for a nice romantic night out too.

Well that’s all for now dolls. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in good spirits and health.

XOXO, Nita
