June 2021 Haul#1- Huda Beauty

Hey doll hey!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’ve been pretty good. I’ve taken some time off from makeup to work on my dresses for my niece’s wedding and my vow renewal but I hope to do makeup today.

I’ve also decided to go on a almost no buy until after January 2022… I’ll still purchase products I’ve run out of and I will purchase a few new releases through the next 7 months if I just can’t wait to try it or it’s a limited edit item but for now I’ve frozen my wish list.

I received my Huda order so I thought I’d haul it now. I do have 1 more beauty purchase before my almost no buy goes into effect.

And now…. on to the haul…

*As always… All products listed I purchased myself, all links provided are purely for convenience purposes to help you find the product quickly and are in no way affiliate links. The swatches are done on clean bare skin with no primer and are done in 1 swipe, pictures to the left/top are taking without flash and the right/bottom with flash*

Huda Beauty #FauxFilter Skin Finish Foundation Stick ($39 for 0.44 oz/ 12.5g of foundation on her website and at Sephora) comes in 39 shades (I chose the shade Shortbread 200B – light skin with a pinky-beige undertone) and is billed as a luxuriously creamy stick formula that melts into the skin for a natural filtered finish that lasts up to 10 hours. Whether you prefer full coverage or barely any at all, this versatile formula will let you be the master of your complexion. Swipe it on and build it up, the stick formula is ideal if you’re on-the-go or in a hurry, and thanks to its long-wearing, waterproof, humidity and sweat resistant formula, you can set it and forget it for the rest of the day.

First Impressions: This is a really creamy formula that gives a slight dewy finish to the skin. The shade is a perfect one for me and this foundation is amazingly pigmented.

Huda Beauty Demi Matte Cream Lipstick ($20 for 3.6 ML / 0.12 FL OZ on her website and at Sephora *this product is currently on sale on her website for $12) comes in 15 shades (I chose the shade Game Changer – an assertive and feminine coral) and is billed as a highly-comfortable, hydrating cream lipstick that sets to a velvety, satin finish that lasts throughout the day.

First Impressions: This isn’t a lip product that I think will stay on all day since it doesn’t dry down to a matte formula… but it’s pretty and felt light weight and creamy so I’m keen to test it out.

Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick ($20 for 3.6 ML / 0.12 FL OZ on her website and at Sephora *this product is currently on sale on her website for $12) comes in 24 shades (I chose the shade Wild Child – a true coral) and is billed as a densely-pigmented Liquid Matte Lipstick offer one-stroke color with a buttery, suede-like finish.

First Impressions: I am always hesitant to purchase matte lipsticks…. I just don’t enjoy the corn husk feeling I get from them. This one’s formula doesn’t seem to be bad… in fact it felt light weight and not at all drying.

Huda Beauty Rose Gold Remastered Eyeshadow Palette ($65 for 16.6 G / 0.59 OZ of total product on her website and at Sephora, making each shade about 0.92 g / 0.033 oz and right around $3.60 per shade) is billed as a revolutionary eyeshadow palette with 18 unique, buttery-smooth shadows to create the most amplified metallic looks.

First Impressions: Oh this color story is heaven! There is a perfect amalgamation of berries, neutrals and golds. There is a light brow bone highlight and a super pigmented black that just makes this a very well rounded palette.

The shades from left to right are: Dubai (antique deep gold with a slight green flip – metallic), Fling (a heavily red based pink with a slight gold flip – metallic), Trust Fund (bright copper – metallic), Rose Gold (rose gold with a slight copper flip – metallic), Pink Diamond (plum with a slivery flip – metallic), 24K (deep antique gold with a light gold flip – metallic), Risque (dusty deep berry – matte), Doll Face (deep plum based pink – matte), and Demure (strong peach based coral – matte).

The shades from left to right are: Blessed (dirty copper with a slight gold flip – metallic), Moon Dust (pale gold with slight silver flip – metallic), Bubbly (pale bronze with a slight peach flip – metallic), Black Truffle (deep dusty black – wet/dry matte), Suede (warm toned medium taupe – matte), Coco (strong red based medium brown – matte), Maneater (dusty deep berry based red – matte), Henna (dusty red based tan – matte), and Sandalwood (light peach based tan – matte).

With that dolls this haul is done… I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.
