Quick Collective Haul #13 May 2021

Ulta and Huda Haul

Hey doll hey!!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I just wanted to pop in and do a haul for the 2 packages I received today.

*As always… All products listed I purchased myself, all links provided are purely for convenience purposes to help you find the product quickly and are in no way affiliate links. The swatches are done on clean bare skin with no primer and are done in 1 swipe, pictures to the left/top are taking without flash and the right/bottom with flash*

Let’s start with Ulta:

I finally got the last 3 of the foundation mixers from L.A. Girl….

L.A. Girl Pro Matte Mixing Pigment ($8.99 for 1 FL OZ at Ulta) in the shade White, is billed as being able to create & color correct an array of shades while anyone can custom mix their exact shade).

This is the yellow shade and it shifts foundation shade to a golden undertone. Perfect for foundations that are too pink or neutral.

L.A. Girl Pro Matte Mixing Pigment ($8.99 for 1 FL OZ at Ulta) in the shade White, is billed as being able to create & color correct an array of shades while anyone can custom mix their exact shade).

First Impressions: This product is pretty thick and I only used a half a pump for this swatch… so I can tell a very little is all that’s needed to add that golden hue.

L.A. Girl Pro Matte Mixing Pigment ($8.99 for 1 FL OZ at Ulta) in the shade White, is billed as being able to create & color correct an array of shades while anyone can custom mix their exact shade).

This is the blue shade and it shifts foundation shade to a neutral undertone. Perfect for foundations that are too warm

First Impressions: This one is a bit thinner. I ended up pumping out 1 full pump and I can still see my skin underneath. I still think it has enough pigment in half a pump to neutralize foundation but it just is odd that it’s so much thinner than the yellow, orange and white ones are.

L.A. Girl Pro Matte Mixing Pigment ($8.99 for 1 FL OZ at Ulta) in the shade White, is billed as being able to create & color correct an array of shades while anyone can custom mix their exact shade).

This is the orange shade and shifts foundation shade to a warmer undertone. Perfect for foundations that are too golden or cool.

First Impressions: Out of the 4 pigment shades the orange is the most hydrating. It’s a pretty color too… and I can see how this would give warmth to any shade.

Last up… Huda Beauty:

Huda Beauty Power Bullet Cream Glow Lipstick – Sweet Nudes ($25 for 3 G / 0.1 OZ on her website and at Sephora) is billed as highly-pigmented lipsticks that delivers unparalleled color payoff in a silky-smooth, plush-matte formula and comes in 10 shades (I purchased 2 from the light line and 2 for the medium line).

This shade is Sweet Nude Honey Bun (medium pink, hint of peach). The dupe for this one believe it or not is Revlon Pink in the Afternoon.

This shade is called Sweet Nude Buttercup (light soft pink) and is such a pretty nude pink that reminds me a little of MAC’s Power Kiss Lipstick in the shade Mull it Over.

This shade is called Sweet Nude Sweet Cheeks (medium pink) is such a beautiful pink. It’s works as the perfect nude for a deep smokey eye.

This shade is called Sweet Nude Angel (light pink nude) and is so creamy and balm like.

Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde Eyeshadow Palette ($67.00 for 16.1 G / 0.56 OZ total product making this $3.72 per shade) is billed as18 cosmic shades and 4 innovative textures. With both bold and neutral shades, this palette delivers infinite possibilities.

It has 9 buttery mattes, 2 sheer multi reflective shades, 6 high shine creamy metallics and 1 glitter

First Impressions: When I first opened this palette I really thought the pale shades were gonna stink… damn if they aren’t some of the most pigmented pastels I have ever seen. This palette is going to be so fun to paly with.

The shades from left to right are: Cosmic (light rose pink – metallic), Utopia (warm tone coral – matte), Ultraviolet (medium lilac – metallic), Nebula (mid-toned purple with silver reflect – metallic), Mercury (a teal with a black base and a hard teal shift – metallic), Haze (aqua – matte), Off Balance (mid-toned red based pink – matte), Galaxy (mid-toned rose gold – metallic) and Libra (pastel lavender – matte).

The shades from left to right are: Crash (taupe based pink – matte), Momentum (peach – matte), Supermoon (icy white with silver flip – metallic), Vortex (deep aubergine – matte), Hot Mess (red based raspberry – matte), Supernova (copper with a rid/pink flip – metallic), Karma (mid-toned coral – matte), Gold Glitch (antique gold with a rose gold flip – metallic) and Frazzled (deep copper with a gold flip – metallic).

Huda Beauty The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette ($65 for 19.7 G / 0.69 OZ total product making this $3.72 per shade on her website and at Sephora) is billed as game-changing palette that reinvents nude with 18 highly pigmented shades, ranging from flattering mattes to shimmer-drenched hues to transform your lids.

It has 10 highly pigmented mattes, 4 duo chrome reflective shades, 2 glitters, 1 pressed pearl and 1 concealer base (said to boost shadows and create flawless application)

First Impressions: I love the sort of monochromatic vibe to this palette, the only thing I don’t understand is that concealer shade… it barely transfers to the skin and if you can see it in the picture bellow doesn’t really make the shade next to it pop, it just sort of deepens the shade a bit… you can get the same results with an eyeshadow primer or just by simply wetting the brush before you apply the shade… I would have loved to see maybe a deep taupe or mid-toned deep brown rather than that concealer.

The shades from left to right are: Bare (light vanilla – matte), Crave (red base gold with pink reflect – metallic), Play (dusty peach – matte), Fantasy (rose gold with a hint of plum – duo chrome), Love Bite (dusty plum – matte), Spanked (dusty berry – matte), Lace (pale lavender – matte), Daydream (icy rose – duo chrome) and Tickle (coral pink – matte).

The shades from left to right are: Excite (deep red – glitter), Infatuated (copper and pink glitter), Kinky (deep berry – duo chrome with an orange flip), Concealed (light concealer base), Secret (dirty pink – matte), Tease (deep mauve – matte), Raw (red based brown – matte), Charmed (brown with red flip – duo chrome) and Teddy (dusty reddish brown – matte).

Well dolls… that’s it for May Hauls for me… I hope you enjoy the rest of your day/night and that you are in great spirits and health.

🥄 Remember… Save a spoon for a bit of lipstick
